Sadly, my opinion of the restaurant has completely changed. The service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter disappeared multiple times throughout the meal. We waited over 20 minutes just for drinks, and the bread and butter didn't arrive until after our entrees were served. We constantly had to ask other servers or the busboy to track him down because he was nowhere to be found. We had a party of seven, and our table ordered a variety of dishes including roasted chicken, braised short ribs, mahi-mahi, steak, burgers, salmon, and a lobster tail add-on. Honestly, the only standout items were the burgers and fries -- juicy, flavorful, filling, and actually enjoyable. Everything else fell flat. The salmon came with what can only be described as a child-sized portion of asparagus. My dad ordered a steak medium well, but it came out well done and without the garlic butter he paid an extra $7 for. He was also supposed to receive sweet potato fries with his steak, and they never came out at all. After sending the steak back, the replacement came out medium rare with a huge dollop of garlic butter thrown on top. I'm sorry, but I will never get over being charged $7 just for butter on a steak -- completely insane. The lobster tail add-on, which cost an additional $24, was severely overcooked to the point it could barely be removed from the shell. Another frustrating issue was that the restaurant would not allow substitutions for sides. If you wanted something different like mac and cheese or Brussels sprouts, it was an additional $15 per side. Also, please carefully review your check before paying. We were accidentally double charged for a $90 steak even though we only ordered one. To be fair, the manager did remove the charge immediately, but that is still a pretty major mistake. For the prices they charge, the quality of the food and service simply do not match. Since gratuity was automatically included for our party size, the waiter received nearly a $100 tip that honestly was not earned based on the level of service we received. The do take reservations but they fail to tell you if the menu will be limited. It was during our visit and that was extremely disappointing! Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of other places in the area to get a much better meal and overall experience. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have a 3-year-old son who urgently needed to use the restroom while we were in the area, and we were denied access without even being asked if we planned to be customers. That was extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable, especially when it involves a small child. Customer service should show at least a basic level of understanding and compassion in situations like this. Because of this experience, I will not be supporting this business again. Went here for Valentine's Day and it was absolutely phenomenal. Not super busy, either. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the croutons were a bit stale. Other than that their food is a 10/10. You MUST get the cheesesteak eggrolls and the spinach dip. The flatbread that comes with the dip is so delicious. The cocktails were also very delicious. Our server was very attentive and kind, as well. If you're going to get the spinach dip, don't get the creamed spinach because it's basically the same thing. read more

Though I have been to Del Frisco's Grille several times over the past few years, it has been a while since my last review, so I think it would be wise to highlight my recent experience. We entered the restaurant on that Friday evening and were warmly greeted. We were escorted through the dining room to our table at the far end, right in front of the open kitchen. As much as the place had an upscale vibe, it still possessed an air of being a chain restaurant. Perhaps it was something with the cookie-cutter furniture or the lack of originality in the menu, but it was clear this was not an one-off destination. Regardless, we had always had pretty decent experiences there, and the steaks were a great occasional treat. As we were walking into the restaurant on that recent evening, I had noted that I had always been bothered by the fact that this steakhouse never served bread. Well, from my mouth to Chef's ears, because they started to finally provide a bread basket during the lengthy wait for our meal. Plus, it was not just any bread, but large pretzel breadsticks with some sort of sweet mustard butter. They were excellent and the perfect thing to take the edge off while we waited. While I enjoyed them with a glass of crisp Bisol Jeio Brut Prosecco from Italy (one of my favorites), my companion had the Blood Orange Sidecar made with Branson V.S. Cognac, Grand Marnier, fresh lemon juice, and a blood orange-guava "barmalade". I took a sip of the pinkish martini and found it artificially sweet and just awful, though he managed to finish it. However, he later switched to a Woodford Manhattan, while I went with their Hazelnut Espresso Martini, which I found to be one of the best I have had. They mixed Ketel One Vodka, Caffè Borghetti, hazelnut, and espresso into a blend that was somehow also a bit creamy and tasted like a milkshake. It was heavenly! In terms of the food, I opted for the house-spiced rub Mahi Mahi with a pineapple-mango salsa, served over Forbidden Fried Rice, and I was not impressed. Firstly, the piece of fish was extremely small, and, secondly, the whole dish was dry and bland. After having some excellent salmon there in the past, I was very disappointed by that seafood entree. I had, however, heard positive things about their Dry-Aged Steakhouse Burger made from Angus chuck and brisket, so I had a bite and found it decent. It had a bit too much of a charred flavor for my liking. The fries that came with the burger were delicious and addicting, though! While our service that evening was great, the food was nothing to write home about, and it was not the best meal we have had at Del Frisco's Grille by far. We will still go back, but it will not be as high on my list. read more

I'll give it 2 stars because our waitress made up for the whole show. (This is a review from may 3rd, 2021 when we went) I made a reservation with Del Frisco's for a party of 12. When I arrive the hostess (I'm assuming who hates her job) tells us she can't seat us until the whole party is here. I understood that but not on a Sunday when they're dead. If you're having dinner for a Birthday it doesn't make sense that I can't set up and start ordering appetizers to have out once everyone arrives. Because when we sat it took awhile for someone to even come and ask us what we wanted to drink. Not only that but once everyone arrived the hostess sat all of the other parties before looking at mine. I felt she was being spiteful. The only customer service I experienced here was the guy who made my reservation. I wished he was there when I came in. They messed up my boyfriends order. He ordered a 10oz sirloin and they brought out an over cooked Filet Mignon. I cut my Filet in half and only ate the top part because of how cooked it was. It's over priced and in all not worth it. The service took forever. Nothing was phenomenal. I mean even the chef at chili's understands what medium rare is. The only good thing I had was the coconut dessert. If you're going to order one thing order that but if you're between Del Frisco's and another spot I'd choose the other spot. read more

We knew we were eating in Hoboken, checked the website and reservations times were pretty open throughout the night. Showed up after dropping off our kid near by. Place was not even half occupied. We go to check in and the host said they are fully booked. We already had parked and dropped off my kid, so I opened the app and they had plenty of reservations for two. Walked back in and they wouldn't seat us because our reservation was in 20 minutes. Zero stars for the hosts. We sat at the bar and complete different experience. Bartenders were great and attentive. Waiter service was not as well. Our salad came well after our meal. Our steak topping never showed up with our meal. We had to wait for our waiter to be around to request it. We finally got it after my wife finished half her meal. In reference to food. Kept it super simple and got the roasted chicken - but it honestly was very good and over a bed of mashed potatoes. Would definitely get it again. Kids gave us a gift card to Del Frisco's Grille. Our first time here and it was excellent. Wife had the Passion Star martini and I tried the Just Vibes cocktail (non-alcoholic). Both were great. The fresh pretzels and honey creole butter came out and they were soft and delicious. For an appetizer we had the cheesesteak egg rolls. These were probably one of the best apps I've had in a long time. For our main courses she had the Cobb salad and I had the 10 oz filet mignon with hand-mashed potatoes. Great place for a lunch with the team. The french onion soup on a cold day is perfect and they make one of the best french onion soups I've had. Can't go wrong with their burgers or steak salad.
