So I was sitting in my cube at work, wondering what on Earth to have for lunch. Suddenly, like a sign from on high, my email dinged, and an email from the Del Taco arrived. It touted their new and exciting $4 meals. I clocked out and drove over to the shiny new Del Taco. The parking spaces of this place are quite wide. The spot I pulled into made me feel warm and fuzzy. Usually I have to drive around to find spots that make me feel comfortable leaving my bitchin' camaro in them. As I walked into the establishment I was immediately impressed. I'd been to the place when it was a Hollywood Video, and this place was so radically different from then it was just silly. I stood upon new and clean wood floors, I looked at fresh and brightly colored paint on the walls. Fancy artwork adorned the walls, it made me think I was somewhere far nicer than a Del Taco. The place was very bright, clean and very nice. This store is far nicer than all of the Del Tacos I've ever been into. Henceforth, I shall refer to this place as "the fancy" Del Taco. Yes, It's THAT nice. I walked up tot he counter and was greeted warmly. I looked up at their menu, and saw the $4 section. I ordered the Variety $4 meal. She thanked me for my order, and I paid, and then the nice lady behind the register gave me coupons for free breakfast items. My meal ended up being $4.29 with tax. I got the "small" cup, which actually ended up being quite large. I filled my cup with iced tea, and walked over to a table. They've got some high tables, some lower tables, and there was even seating outside. A choice for everybody. The tables and chairs seemed clean and new. As it died down, one of the employees came out and started cleaning tables and chairs. I didn't even think they were dirty to begin with. I almost had time to beat a level of Super Mario Brothers before my number was called and I went up to get my food. The tray had a trio of items on it, a chicken soft taco, a burrito and 1/2 a quesidilla. Quite the spread for a pittance of $4.29. All three items were as tasty and of a quality I'd come to expect from Del Taco. I ate my food and walked out. Good job New Del Taco. You are far superior to all other Del Tacos. read more

Convenient location, but horrible horrible service. First time was with my son. We ordered and paid for six mini bacon quesadillas (so good when made!) in the drive thru. We drive away, and discover that they are all just cheese quesadillas, so we go back through the drive thru. Guy at window doesn't believe us, so we give him the bag. He opens one up, sees there is no bacon. He goes away, then gives us a small soufflé cup with bacon bits, and hands us back our bag. Whaaaat? Haven't seen that guy in a while, thank goodness. Second time - no cars in the drive through, thought it would go quickly. Took a while for someone to take the order. Drove up to the window, no one was there. Waited a few beats, still no one. Had the credit card ready to go, still no one. Heard my train whistle, and had to leave. I realize that we can't expect fast food to be as fast as we need it to be, so my low rating is for the first experience. My second notation is that you should expect a wait. read more

Service was great, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and the cashier was friendly, we were provided with our food within a decent time. Place is clean tables are also clean. The place was cool and restrooms were in good shape. Best part the hot sauce and ketchup were within arms reach every table had trays stocked with all types of varieties no need to get up and get more or get excess that just end up in the trash. We had a really difficult order after a long day. I mean cranky pants and all. They were super patient with us, got the order correct and they gave us quality with our items. They didn't skimp on the guacamole on the 7 layer burrito nor on the cheese on the tacos. Very impressed with the kitchen and all the people at the drive thru. All 4 of us 100% impressed. This place is Bomb!!!! Way better than Taco Bell. Better tasting, not greasy and always consistent with their quality.

As for a place that is literally making your food, the covid-19 regulations are only mostly met as more than half of the employees decide to wear their masks below their noses, defeating the purpose of them in the first place. As the virus is transmitted by breathing, a quick exhale could land coronavirus all over my fries, when they could have simply worn the mask the way they were supposed to. This place has really gone down hill. I used to go here at least 1-2 times a week. This morning I wanted something quick and realized that there would not be a line there so I went there. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese burrito meal. I didn't want the drink and that seemed to be an issue for the girl taking the order. I got to the window and she had all sorts of attitude. She gave me my change and then closed the window and said "I'll be back." She came back with my food and I thanked her and she slammed the window. She never gave me a receipt and my food was cold. The hash browns were ice cold and tasked like fish. I assume they don't change their oil and cooked them in the same oil with fish products. The eggs in the burrito were not cooked and watery. If I had been given a receipt this review would have gone directly to corporate. I have called twice since my visit to complain to the manager and nobody picks up the phone. I come here about once every few weeks. The kids like the chicken soft tacos and I like the regular tacos. Is it great food? No not really, but guess I still like to go out of habit. The service is always quick and the people that work there are always friendly. I guess I have been lucky as I have never had a wrong order when taking home food for four. I still remember going to Del Taco in the 80's and really loved the tacos then. Seemed so much bigger and with the tomato wedge and lots of cheese. This is not a place I would eat all the time, but I do enjoy a burger or one of their spicy jack chicken quesadillas from time-to-time. I usually forget how big their "large" soft drinks are, but no complaints! The last time I stopped by, they had discontinued their tacos al carbon, which have been my favorite for a long time. Worst drive-thru service. Last night (as well as last Wednesday) received our food and was ice cold, including the fries. I took the food back completely upset, how can my toddler eat that? If I could rate lower than a "1 Star" I would because the service is completely terrible. I asked the girl, Veronica, for sauce and she said she's put it in my bag, (I was in the drive thru). I looked in my bag to see I didn't have any sauce and when I asked a second time she gave me an attitude and swore she put it in the bag.
