If I could give Cindy ten stars I would! wow! She is truly an artist.. I had an appointment for full highlights and asked for a lot of contrast and light blonde highlights. It's not been easy for other hair dressers to achieve this color because my hair is so porous. Cindy spent FOUR hours on my hair perfecting it! Found this place from a Groupon deal for Cut and Deep Conditioning. Vivian did a great job for me. After having a hair wash and massage, I relaxed with magazines and a soothing cup of green tea under the blower for the Deep Conditioning to set. Later. I showed her some pictures of simple medium length hairdos and told her honestly that I do not blow dry and I need to be able to gather all hair into pony tail. She smiled and said, "yes, like mine". I've been holding off on my review for a while now since I wanted to compile my experiences together. Now, I'm ready to let you guys know how it has been! I drive over 1.5+ hours from home just to go here because my friend trusts this place and I don't regret it at all. (It gives me an excuse to explore the Bay Area afterwards.) I come here strictly for lash extensions. It was my first time getting them ever and I had called ahead of time to book an appointment with Vivian (who is no longer there). I had mentioned on the phone that I was planning on buying the Groupon, but I was informed that I would not need to and they honored the price when I paid. It was $75 for the first set + tip. Lashes are done in small rooms that reminds me of walk-in closets. There's a bed-table for you to lay on (pillow and blanket available!) with soothing music playing in the background. For my first set of lashes, I asked for natural medium-short length lashes and got just that. It took around 2 hours for the magic to happen and I napped away as Vivian went to work. The music makes it pretty easy to fall asleep and the whole process of getting the extensions is not painful for those who are worried! However, I probably woke up after about an hour (it's really hard to judge time when I'm in that little room!) as my body itched to stretch and move around. But, I woke up with beautiful lashes so it was all well worth it in my opinion. My first set lasted the longest despite it not being full. When I went for my first and second fill, I had Lily do my lashes. (Vivian had left by the time I had to return after 3 weeks.) Lily is the newest there and her English isn't that great unfortunately, so it's a little difficult to communicate. (If you speak Vietnamese though, you're in luck!) My fills also took about 1.5-2 hours too since she works a little slower. I didn't really tell Lily what I had wanted, but I woke up with much fuller lashes than my first visit. My friend told me that the salon is used to doing more dramatic lashes and I think that's what I ended up with. However, I actually love the fullness of my lashes since it's more apparent. I do feel that the lashes fall out a little easier, but they don't look horrible after 3 weeks. I have combination/oily skin and find that my eyes sometime sting after I shower. I assumed it was because of the oils around my eyes + the lash extension materials, but it luckily doesn't happen regularly. I also don't wear makeup so I think I *could* extend my visits past 3 weeks if I tried to, but I haven't tested that out yet. Perhaps next time. Fills are $50 + tip, so this little beauty treatment isn't too bad if you have some money to splurge each month. Treat yourself! read more

I'm not sure how this salon has so many good reviews. I'm new to the area and took an appointment with Cindy based on all the good reviews. She was supposed to give me a layered cut. Without a doubt, this was the worst haircut I've ever had in my life. She completely missed cutting hair on the left side that was supposed to angle my face. The result was one side was almost 3 includes longer than the other. She curled my hair using the Dyson air wrap so I couldn't really tell when I left. I had to cut my hair on my own because it was so bad!! She didn't even know how to use the air wrap so even the blow dry was a shoddy job. I'm not sure how she has a license! read more

I really hesitated in reviewing this place, because I wanted to keep T(h)eresa to myself! I LOVE HER. Prior to seeing T(h)eresa here, I saw to it that I give into one of top places to go for eyelash extensions that show up on Southbay Yelp. Go big or go home. Too bad I couldn't keep it big, as it came with a HEFTY price tag $300 initial, then $70 every two weeks. YIKES. This salon charges $120 for the initial set, and if you're a first time client, you get a whopping 20% off. Then $50 for fills, no time limit (unless ALL your extensions came off, then you'll have to talk to them about that) Not bad. Theresa (or Teresa?) is so sweet. She really takes her time with you (don't make any plans until after the appointment) and really piles on the lashes. I asked her how many she had put on, and she said she didn't know. lol This is awesome, cause the salon I previously went to for extensions cost a minimum amount. Cons (which I will address with her when I come back for my second fill): I noticed the initial set kind of hurt my eyelashes afterward.The same kind of hurt you get from the fake glue-when you've been wearing your falsies for too long. Didn't experience that the next time I came back for a fill. The glue is really strong, and how these extensions work, they glue the eyelash to your existing eyelash. I think I lost quite an amount of lashes. What will she work with for my next fill? We'll find out. Pros: Price, customer service, and location. Big Pro? I got SO many compliments on my lashes and they were much more noticeable than my $300 ones. As long as my eyelashes don't go bald, I will definitely see to it that I give them my business on a regular basis. read more

I am very saddened to write this review but I feel it is important. I went in to see Cindy a few days ago, looking for a natural looking ombre. The end result was anything but. I left with scabs on my head from burns and the bottom half of my hair was bleached, damaged beyond repair, and falling out. To top it off, I spent over 4.5 hours in the Salon and was still asked to pay $100 for the service and additional $45 for a product that she wanted me to use to 'fix' my hair. I had to go see a different stylist who advised me to cut my hair off since the bleached section was beyond repair. It took me over 2 years to grow out my hair and now that time was wasted due to this horrific experience I endured. I will not be returning to Delight! read more

I was always in awe at those girls who had those naturally long, curly eyelashes, but no amount of mascara and curling could bring me up to their level. Then I started coming across fellow Asian girls with beautiful long eyelashes full of volume, and I was baffled; let's be honest, Asians don't usually have much to work with in the eyelash department. Now I have figured out their secret, and Theresa is my secret weapon. Getting eyelash extensions has become a monthly routine, and I am never disappointed with the results. You go in and lay down on a comfy bed, the next thing you know you're waking up from a relaxing nap and your eyelashes are done to perfection. I can go out without makeup every day since the eyelashes already make your eyes pop. These lashes also last very well - I went three weeks before my refill, and I put those lashes through a lot of unintentional turmoil. They survived the speed of jetskiing, they stuck on me when I fell into the lake from falling off the jetski, and I went hiking up Mt Rainier and they handled the extreme heat and my sweat. Theresa is a total sweetheart and does an amazing job. She is very precise and careful when she is working on you. I came here for a brazilian wax, and it was the worst in my life. I came here because Trubates had a 50% deal for this salon...bad decision. First they kept me waiting forever. Then when they finally told me to come to the back room it was gross. It is a tiny claustrophobic room. The table you lay on had hairs all over it (eww!). The room didn't even have a roof. Then the woman used a really powerful cleaning agent that burned even before we began. Then she proceeded to take a whole hour to put me in pain! They don't use hard wax so the process takes forever, is way more painful, and honestly she wasn't even thorough. When we were finally done she put aloes and creams on me without even consulting me and they started to burn so badly I had to beg for a wet cloth to take off all the burning crap she put on me. I have been coming to Vivian for the past 2 years for my eyelashes and she is Uhh..Mazing! I've heard of other places that may be cheaper but you get what you pay for and Vivian is worth every penny. I usually fall asleep well she is filling my lashes and go about 3 weeks till I need a fill. I like to get the full look and sometimes I will go for the long lashes aka ;) party girl.. either way they always come out Gorgeous. I always get asked if their mine and where did I get them done. Bought a groupon to try out a new hair salon near my house and was in desperate need of getting my split ends cut. I also wanted to chop it off like I had before with layers galore. The owner/manager was really accommodating with my constantly changing my times available. I actually ended up showing up 30 minutes later, and they still took me even though they had other clients (all men getting haircuts). I showed her how my hair was cut before at a salon in LG, and a photo online that I had used as an example before as well. I had a conditioning treatment which was nice, although the smell reminded me of my hemp lotion. But it was much needed. The haircut was decent, I did feel she was trying to sell me on some services they provide, but also told me about their app with discounts which was nice. Overall, I wasn't thrilled with my haircut. It had more volume, but it wasn't what I had expected from what I had gotten before. Also, you know the haircut is not that great when no one notices or compliments you. :/ read more

PLEASE BE CAREFUL. So recently I went to get a haircut, along with my mother. Both of us did not get what we wanted and I lost 10 inches of my hair and I'm feeling extremely upset about it. The owner made the initial cut where it was a length I was good with, took me to the back to wash my hair, took me back to the chair to do the actual layering but she would hack away only more and more inches... But the main point is, all throughout she would talk and it sounds like a sales pitch. Not uncommon for small businesses. But before I knew it I had a laptop in my lap and my mom, being one with lots of health issues, fell for it and we bought $99 worth of ONE collagen pack. One. That's absurd. But fine, we lost money and hair and we left. The worst part is, Cindy will try to sell you products from Nuskin. This is an MLM. An pyramid/ponzi scam with products containing ILLEGAL ingredients that are extremely harmful. Cindy herself may not know this but what she is doing is so damaging. My mom would be taking the same poison and I'm honestly terrified thinking of it. PLEASE do your research. In the salon I mentioned how I wanted to be doctor because I thought she was just trying to have casual talk as a hairstylist which seemed extremely sweet. She said she can link me up with her Pharmacist friend and I said okay hoping for a new opportunity. Next day at 7am I had a three-way call with Cindy and a woman in Ohio who could only talk about being a distributor and trying to make me join for her own commission. Nothing about pharmacy. I doubt she is one now, and if she was...what she is selling and doing now is so dangerous. Cindy, if you see this, please do your research and do not trust what this company tells you. It's only lies and the "science" behind it has been proven more than enough times to be a harmful scam. read more

**This review is solely for Teresa's work of eyelash extensions. I came here after my best friend got her lashes done by Teresa and referred me. Meeting Teresa was such a pleasant experience. She's sweet and her voice is extremely calming. Beware, you're gonna fall asleep in this process!! Teresa is a really busy person, so appointments can be a little hard to get, but so worth the wait. She tries her best to fit you in where she can or when there's a cancellation. I really appreciate her for all her efforts of getting me an appointment when I don't have time much time to come in. Teresa takes her time and always makes sure you're comfortable in the process. Fulls sets are about an hour and 45 minutes, fills are about 30-45 minutes. Her prices are very reasonable for her work! So glad I was referred to Teresa. She's always making me feel glam, and as a nursing student, I don't have the time for makeup early in the morning, so lash extensions pretty much saved me. Cindy did a great job with my hair. But she was really impatient. She wanted me to tell her the length of my hair in terms of inches to cut on the first go even before she started cutting. It was a kinda stupid question to ask outrightly. (As if I go there planned) When I insisted on letting her know as and when she cuts, she told me she won't be able to cut it again and again as she has other appointments piling up, this was after making me wait for an hour in spite of an appointment. I was referred to see Emily by my friends. I have a lash girl that I normally see, but she doesn't do volume lashes which I why I wanted to see Emily! My friends lashes by Emily looked so full, fluffy and wispy. That's exactly what I wanted! She was very sweet and walked me through every step she was doing. I showed her a picture of my friends' lashes and said that's exactly what I wanted. EMILY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! My new set of volume lashes are so beautiful and the best part is, they don't even feel like they're there. You would think volume lashes would feel heavy but I don't feel them weighing my eyes down at all. The entire process took about an hour and 10 minutes. Her room was small and cozy but her bed was soooo comfortable. After my service she let me know to contact her with any questions or concerns. I will definitely be coming back to her. Emily is definitely good at what she does! I came to her with an eyelash perm that was nearing its end, with some lashes still curled and others straight as can be. I'm still amazed how she was able to make my lashes look great even due to the flaws. I've had eyelash extensions done before so I know what I want. Short lashes in the inner and outer corners in sizes anywhere between 8-10 and long center lashes ranging from 11-13. I've had d curls and dd curls before too but found I get way too much fallout so I opted for a c curl. I told her all this information and she was able to deliver. A litter wispier on the ends than what I usually like but it still looks amazing thus far. Fluffy and voluminous. Not as full as what I'm used to but for the price I'll take it! She is very soft handed and works fast and with ease. She also told me the expectations in which I should have for my lashes since I did have a previous lash perm done which I found very helpful, professional, and considerate. All in all she's an A+ and I'll continue to be a patron of hers. Salon parking is a little tight so plan accordingly. Appointments are easy to make and she's very accommodating. read more

Lash services with Theresa: She is a master at what she does! 11 years experience, and it shows...I couldn't recommend her more. She is SO sweet and professional, and her work is always on point. I get the BEST compliments REGULARLY on my lash extensions, even on the weeks I'm due for a touch-up! I go in every three weeks - though to be honest, I feel I truly could go four weeks because I do not experience a lot of fall out. ***A quick tip about lashes: when I first started seeing Theresa in April I went with an "A" curl and eventually switched to "C" curl and have noticed less fall out! I think it's because the "C" is curlier and less in the way for them to get bumped and knocked loose (I can't see the lashes in my line of vision with the "C" but could with the straighter "A" and I think they were more in the way). Something to consider! I've recommended all my friends to ask her for a "C" curl and they've all been very happy :) It's a tiny service room and it's not a fancy place, but if you want extremely reasonable, fabulous lashes from a sweet lady, Theresa is for you! read more

Need lash extensions?? Theresa is your woman!!! All of my friends are OBSESSED with how she applies the lashes, they always look natural. She's so accommodating and usually replies to my texts within 1 day. 20% off for first timers, and then about $50 for refills. I go every 3 weeks (she recommends between 2-3 weeks), and even days before my 3 week appt, they still look natural! I gave up on lash extensions the last time when I had a bad experience, but Theresa made me a believer again. DO NOT GO HERE. I totally got scammed by Cindy. I purchased a Groupon for a cut and conditioning treatment ($27). Called to schedule an appt and Cindy said it's better to just come and pay her there. I said Ok that's fine. I get there and she offers to charge me just $45 extra if I want to get highlights to cover my grays. I agree but REPEATEDLY tell her to make sure that they're not yellow/blonde. I've had that before and HATED it. I only want highlights if they're light brown and easily blend in with my dark brown hair. She then proceeds to dye my hair and do the foils. Fast forward to the unveiling....HOLY SHIT! IT'S BRIGHT YELLOW! I look like a f*in fob. This was exactly what I did NOT want. I'm in a state of shock and she asks me what I think? I tell her it's far more yellow then I wanted and i'm in shock. She just keeps going and starts to cut the hair. She does get 1 star for the cut. Her cutting skills are good and I do like the style. But I freakin HATE the color! I can't believe she screwed me over like this. To add insult to injury, when I ask her how much the total is, she tells me that it's $99. WTF?! I already paid $27 for the Groupon and now she wants $99 on top of that? I stare at her dumbly and she tells me to cancel the Groupon. Now I've gotten my hair done at a to of places and I've never paid this much for a crappy ass highlight job (SHE ONLY DID THE FRONT AND TOP SECTIONS- THE BACK AND BOTTOM LAYERS ARE SOLID BROWN) I'm most definitely canceling my Groupon.
