I have been eating here since i was a little girl, and if there is one word i can use to describe them besides being delicious, it would be consistent. Their round slices are awesome. Crust is always crisp and fresh, cheese always nice and gooey, sauce sweet and tangy. Their sicilians are great too. Nice thick crust, same great sauce and cheese. I have also become a fan of their grandma slice. Which is a thin crispy crust sicilian with fresh mozzarella and marinara sauce. As for food- their grilled chicken salad is great, the chicken is marinated and not at all dry. Their baked ziti and stuffed shells are awesome and i have no trouble finishing the whole order. Last but not least, everyone who works there including the delivery guys are all wonderful and always have a smile on their face. I have been eating Delmar for 30 years. Last week I order a chicken parmesan with pasta for delivery. Well next day or 2 I was food poisoned by the chicken. I grew up with this place, so I have a big bias when it comes to Delmar. It's simply the best place to get pizza. It doesn't matter if you get a cheese pizza, a pepperoni pizza, pizza with sausage, or vodka pizza because they're all good. The sausage rolls and garlic knots are top notch too. They even have a vending machine for sodas, so you don't have to purchase drinks from them. The environment may seem a little dark, but I like it and it's safe. It adds an old-time feel to this place. I have seen this place grow and I'm proud of how it's turned out over the years. If you're in Sheepshead Bay, you owe it to yourself to try this place out. This is what Brooklyn Pizza is supposed to taste like. Crispy crust, not too thin, not too thick. Tangy tomato sauce, ( no cheap tomato paste taste )... good cheese. In short pizza magic. Buy by the slice, or by the pie. Service is pretty congenial for a NY spot. Taste is pretty consistent the hundreds of times Ive eaten here. Booth seating is available but dont expect to get a seat when its busy. Nice selection of other italian favorites, but of course their regular triangular Neapolitan is the best. Delmar is my go to for pizza delivery. Their pizzas are delish and I love the crispy crust. Deliveries are prompt and order process is efficient and polite. One star off for not always using the insulated bags for deliveries and bribing barely warm pizza as opposed to a piping hot one. read more

Great food. I have been eating Delmar food my entire life, and it is consistently great. The pizza, the pasta, the sandwiches, everything is really good. The pepperoni pizza and alfredo pizza are extraordinary. As are the hot hero's. My only complaint is that they are not the best at delivery. A few weeks ago I ordered a pepperoni pie with the specific intent of showing a friend how good it was. However, I received a plain pie. Even the receipt said pepperoni, but since it was delivery there was no point sending it back. I have had some other mixed experiences with service, but the food speaks for itself. I might be judging this place with a preconceived notion that pizza should have a lot of flavor, but the two slices I had here were not as strong in flavor as I hoped they would be. I had a regular and a vodka slice. Regular was crunchy but tasteless. Vodka was neither crunchy nor flavorful. I could hardly taste the vodka sauce. Oh well. Best spot in the bay. I've been to the others they weren't worth reviewing this place has a lot of solid options but go with the buffalo. I dislike buffalo pizza but this one was different. I tasted a sweetness that I loved, I was with an Australian who thought the pizza was spicy....so this ones a little tricky. If you want flavor go with this guy if you want to add a kick get jalapeños or add your favorite hot sauce. The garlic rolls were solid but not worth the calories. read more

Awesome pizza! Had the square or sicilian, whatever you want to call it. Just came out of the oven. Great cheese quality and sauce. Also had a regular which was great. Call me weird but their coke from the fountain (where they fill up the cups) is phenomenal. I like it way better than the can and for some reason it tastes better here than anywhere I tried it. Everyone in the neighborhood knows that this is a classic, good pizza spot. I've had their pizza consistently about once a month for the past several years. My last several visits were mediocre. It's great pizza, don't get me wrong, but it's just not the same. If I had to pinpoint it, I'd say the sauce has changed. I came back to Delmar recently during the summer of 2011. And somehow I feel that the quality has gone down since my previous visit back in 2009. I thought the pizza was very generic, but good. Maybe I could go as far as 'as best as a generic pizza could get'. What I mean by it is that, this is the kind of pizza you could get anywhere in New York City, except Delmar does it a tad bit better. But it is still that same darn pizza. Overall, I was not impressed. Maybe if I grew up in this neighborhood with this specific style of pizza, perhaps I would have enjoyed it more. But then again, the pizza quality around this neighborhood is pretty sad. I'd consider coming here if I was in the neighborhood and I was hankering for a slice of pizza. I called to place an order for delivery today and some rude punk picks up the phone and tells me I have to come down to the store to pick up my pizza that they can't deliver because they guy can't double park because if the snow. What!? What's the purpose of delivery then? To be honest I don't give a F how the driver finds a parking spot, you are a business that offers delivery so my advice to you is DELIVER! and not tell your customers (I have been a loyal customer here for over 15 years) that you have to come in to pick up your delivery. Very stuck up and rude kids working at this place and the quality over the years have went down tremendously. I will be looking for another place from now on. I've been hearing how awesome Delmar's White Slice is for ages but I couldn't remember ever trying it. I've been desiring to for a while but it never worked out. I drive Car Service and as many of you reading this know, Sheepshead Bay Road is not car friendly. Anyway, let me get on with it. I took a risk and asked if they did Curbside Delivery. Guess what.. THEY DO! Two weeks ago I got a plain and white slice delivered to my car. Man, was it awesome. The ricotta was distributed evenly across the entire slice, the mozz' was browned oh so perfectly. Not to salty, perfect chewy crust and crunch on the first few bites. All that applies to the plain slice too, except the awesome sharpness of their sauce. Oh such bites of heaven. In closing, let me tell you something else. The second time I picked up these slices, last week, I had two customers get in the car around the corner. The car smelled of pizza, and all they could talk about till they got out of the car was how much they wished they had gotten some slices before i picked them up. read more

One of the best pizzeria's in New York! They cook it well enough that when you bite into the slice, the whole cheese doesn't slide off the bread. Their buffalo wings are also amazing along with their garlic knots. I highly recommend their pizza if you already haven't had it yet. read more

This place does not care for its customers health!!!!! I just went there during the coronavirus outbreak and saw that they have enforced a 3 person rule. As I stand and wait for my pizza alone 3 teenagers come into the place making it 4 people inside a cramped up space. I move away from them and they move closer to me. When time came for me to leave I told the boys " you guys will have to move did u read the sign '3 people at a time'" one of the teens was defiant and stood in my way saying " u have to say excuse me". I said what!?!? U move out my way now!! The teen was restricting my access to the outdoors and I had to push my way through ending up being very close to him. The restaurant staff just stood and watched no one interfered to protect my safety and enforce the rules. I will be reporting this incident to the department of health and inspection. Very disgusting of this place!!! Updated 3/21/20 I really don't like Italian food. I'll have a pizza once a year. This place has great food and very clean. The salads are very big and fresh. The pizza is good. We love it. However, the purpose of us ordering pizza to us is because we can not Leave the apartment to get it ourselves. Every time we order from here they say they can not come Up to our apartment but we need to meet the delivery guy outside. I think this is ridiculous, as every place that delivers has a car and figures it out. It has now honestly become a deciding factor to whether or not we are ordering from them because I can not leave my baby. These delivery guys need to get with it. read more

Before heading home me and my girlfriend decided to grab a slice of pizza from delmars. We walked in and were immediately asked what we want to order. We got 2 regular slices. It only took 2-3 minutes for them to do their magic and hang it over to us. The prices are the same as any other place: $2.50 per slice so it was a total of $5 in total for 2 slices. The tables are clean and so are the trays. Every table had every type of spice besides parmesan cheese which we had to go up to them and receive it personally. The pizza was extra hot and juicy. I also checked out there bathroom and in my opinion it is above average. The staff is working hard right in front of you.. Looks like they are dedicated. Overall a very nice place and definitely recommend visiting here. read more

Delmars is a must go if you live in the neighborhood or just passing by and in the mood for pizza. Amazingly thin and crispy crust gets me every time. As I eat the slice I'm always wondering how they do it. All there slices are great but my favorite is the vodka slice it truly is something special. Pre sandy we used to order alot more from the kitchen menu and it was great ( wings, chkn marsala and lasagne). Post sandy we haven't really ordered from the kitchen so I can't really say if they're better or worse. Try this place out you wont be disappointed read more

The "grandma" pie had just come out although I was seriously eying an "Alfredo" slice that looked amazing so I went with the "grandma" corner piece. Possibly the best "grandma" piece I have ever had.
