SO good. I was actually on my way to another restaurant when I walked past Delmonico's. I debated on going in, but what a delicious decision it was. It was packed, but fortunately, they found me a table by the bar. The service by EVERYONE that came by my table was impeccable. VERY nice, respectful, and helpful. They truly understand customer service and it shows. As for the food, it was amazing. I ordered the Burrata appetizer and the Signature Delmonico Ribeye, and the Prime Rib Sandwich. The Burrata not only tasted great, it was beautifully plated. Seriously, it was gorgeous. As for the ribeye, it was perfectly cooked and was delicious!! Juicy, tender, and so full of flavor. I wish I had time to go back for another meal, but unfortunately I did not. This place is a definite must for me, should I be back in NY.
Had a lovely meal here on a whim. Was in the area and last minute said let's try Delmonico's. Haven't been here in a few years and it was just as good as I remembered. Didn't have reservations and hostess was very accommodating offering two seats at the bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar was awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our bartender was super friendly and made amazing drinks and kicked off a great conversation throughout the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue was busy for a Tuesday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar was lively and customers and staff were all friendly and engaging in random conversations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was excellent. The bar service was outstanding. Caesar salad and the yellowtail crudo was delightful and beautifully presented. We shared the wagyu strip with steak fries and we devoured the meal. Steak was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. We left full and satisfied and will be back again.
I went to the steakhouse thinking that it was one of the best steakhouses in New York City. We went for lunch. The wedge salad was underwhelming and only had a few toppings on it. I asked for two side dressings and only one came. I asked for filet mignon as a salad add on, and they forgot to bring it. My party was finished eating by the time I started my meal. The error might not have been hers. It might have been the kitchen's error. The hamburger was mediocre. Also, the french rosé that I initially ordered was old wine and was horrible. The waitress was very nice and did comp me a glass of wine. The Chardonnay was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will not be back.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here with the boys on a weekend evening and let me just say this steakhouse is huge. Multiple floors and rooms as they own the whole building I believe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated downstairs via reservation. We had 2 orders of the bacon, 3 steaks, 2 orders of mash and 2 orders of cream spinach. Everything was GREAT, steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the sides complimented it very well as well as their sauces. This place does get packed so I'd recommend a reservation. Also pricey as well but that's all steakhouses tbh.
Delmonico's has been on my list to try for a while, as it is such an iconic NYC institution. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The resturant itself is absolutely stunning, there are plenty of tables inside and it has an old school but still modern feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The white table cloths and attentive wait staff make for an upscale dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The biggest highlight for me was the dirty martini with blue cheese olives, absolutely no notes. As for food, I would say the menu is definitely more limited than some other steakhouses I have been to. I was pleasantly surprised by the caviar pasta, it was decadent but did not sit heavy like some rich pastas do. Overall I had a pleasant experience and would love to return. Don't forget to ask for a matchbox on the way out!
I went to delmonicos for restaurant week, and they had a really great deal. For $60 each we got an app, main, and dessert. There is an upcharge for certain specialty items but overall it's much more affordable than coming outside of restaurant week. The place is a historic institution with great service and a lot of seating. For drinks, we got the lychee martini and a purple gin drink. I don't remember the name and can't find it on the website but the purple one was my favorite. For apps, we tried the Caesar salad and the thick cut bacon. The bacon is a must have, delmonicos does it so well. The Caesar salad has small roe mixed through it so if you don't like seafood maybe skip that one! For mains, the restaurant week menu had their filet mignon and then the ribeye was available for $33 extra. The ribeye is their specialty so we tried it, but personally I liked the filet more! It had a great sauce on it. Both steaks were perfectly done. For dessert we had chocolate cake and cheesecake. Both were great but I especially liked the cheesecake. Overall, everything was so well done. Great place for a special occasion
YES!! you should make a reservation if for no other reason than because there is important, fine dining restaurant history right here, inside (& outside) Delmonico's, located on Beaver Street in downtown Manhattan, Steps from famous Wall Street. Steps from the famous huge bull sculpture on Wall Street. I mentioned the historical outside because I read in an article somewhere that when the restaurant first opened, people would rub the pillars that are outside by the entrance for good luck. Started in 1837, Delmonico's has a storied history and you are able to see some of it on display inside the restaurant. Photos and memorabilia from the early, early days. And for that reason alone, you should dine here. Mark Twain celebrated his 70th birthday here and you can see artwork on the wall depicting that. Delmonico's created several very famous, beloved dishes ...For example, the dessert called baked Alaska. And other dishes you may be familiar with. Please, See their website. By the way, 1837 is the same year that Tiffany & Co started. What a time!! Can you imagine!? I enjoyed WINTER RESTAURANT WEEK 2026!! I had lunch on my first visit to Delmonico's. I ordered the Maine Crab Cake (+$10) Mmm, I enjoyed this dish, see my photos. It is an artful dish. A Maine crab cake enrobed in yummy, crispy, shredded potatoes. Mmm!! What's not to like!?!?!!! LOL My entree was Filet Mignon. Loved the accompanying whipped potatoes. (See photo) . I'd rate this filet mignon itself 4 stars, only because it was not as soft as I'm used to when I order filet mignon. I was looking forward to that yummy, almost melt-in-your-mouth-softness, but, alas it was not there. I was surprised (and disappointed). It was good, not spectacular. It was deliciously seasoned. My 3rd course, THE FAMOUS DELMONICO'S BAKED ALASKA (+$10). A MUST!!! See my video!! On a very cold winter's day, I appreciated the warm welcome when I entered the restaurant and that was thanks to the two women at the Hostess station. When I left, no one said anything. Nothing at all. (Almost comical, but not). And there was plenty of restaurant, staff and management by the door. A missed opportunity, to be sure. Ideally, you want your patron to leave on an up note level and the goodbye is part two of the welcome. Toward the end of my late lunch, I saw the next shift of servers (upcoming dinner time) arranging beautiful place settings on tables and sometimes adding a chair or two to a large round table. I was very impressed with the care that I saw from each of those servers setting those tables and arranging things on the table. It was obvious the staff I was watching cared deeply about having things just right, perfect. Seeing this reminded me of the fine dining establishments I've had the pleasure of visiting. Kudos to that evening staff caring about setting those tables just right. That was great to see. I loved where I was seated in a beautiful blue cozy booth type table. Apparently there was going to be a shift change... so my first server was very attentive and I appreciated that very much; he was professional and kind. I missed him when I experienced the second server; although he walked by my table several times he was initially not attentive. In any business, There is usually room for improvement. I would respectfully suggest that Delmonico's reminds servers when they're walking by a table to keep their eyes open all around, not just in one direction because at least twice the second server walked by my table, looking away from my table with his back toward my table, never turned his head to see if I needed anything and of course I did so it was frustrating to have him walk by twice. I was not going to call out, simply because that would have ruined my restaurant experience. Delmonico's is beautiful inside and I wanted to keep that ambience and that's why I did not say excuse me hello ... I just figured eventually my server would walk by and look at my table and eventually he did, and I took that opportunity to have a respectful chat with this server so that he was aware that twice he had walked by my table and not even looked in my direction. He was respectful and he heard what I had to say and the next time he walked by what do you think happened? He looked at my table, smiled, I smiled, too, and that's when I ordered my pot of tea which I enjoyed. From then on, things were fine. See my photos. As part of Delmonico's history, you will see photos on the walls. I enjoyed this. If Delmonico's gave a tour of the restaurant I'd sign up for that. But I can tell you there is a bar area that's lovely , and the nearby, single person restroom was lovely and clean. I believe There are some private dining rooms, too. Make a reservation! You can take the 4 or 5 train to the Wall Street stop, then walk toward the famous Wall Street Bull sculpture, and turn onto BEAVER STREET, and you are steps from Delmonico's.
Came here for my birthday celebration with friends on a Sunday. We were seated promptly and since it's restaurant week, we all got the restaurant week menu with the signature Delmonico's steak and various appetizers and desserts. We also got lychee martinis and a bottle of red wine. The martinis are quite strong but the flavor is nice with hints of rose and lychee. I got the crab cake as an app while my friends got the crudo, bacons, and burrata and all hit. The presentation and the flavor of the crab cake is amazing, with a massive portion. The Delmonico steaks lived up to its name. The steak is tender and juicy, and the side mashed potato and spinach added a nice balance. The only thing was it's too massive at 18 oz and we could not finish. It's my first time getting the baked Alaska. It's a fun dessert with banana, peach, and apricot elements. It's also huge. My friend got the chocolate mousse and the cheesecake those were delicious too. The only thing that could be improved is that the service seemed rushed, both our waitress and the staff serving the dishes. Not sure if it's bc they were trying to turn tables quickly. Overall it's a solid steakhouse with great food.
A new York institution and not to be missed. I most recently visited for restaurant week but have been before. Inside the ambience is exactly what you'd expect from a New Yorker restaurant - it's bustling with wall streeters, date nights and all sorts of people were watching. The crab cake and bacon are the stars of the appetizer menu and for mains you have to get the steak! The baked Alaska was invented in Delmonicos as a tribute to the state of Alaska and it's a good desert to share with a strong banana ice cream flavor. The service was great and attentive.
I went to Delmonicos for the first time about a week ago and had such a lovely time and meal with my best friend who was in town celebrating her birthday and our major career win. They went above and beyond to make it all special :). We got to take advantage of restaurant week with 1 app, 1 main, and 1 dessert for about $60 which was such a steal. My friend got the winter soup an I got the burrata and both were delicious, though the burrata was quite light and not super filling as compared to the winter soup, which I wish I got. For mains, we both got the filet minion and it was one of the best steaks I'd ever had. Amazing meal, though the portion of everything felt a hair small -- I suppose that was due to the deal? For dessert, I got the cheesecake which was good, but nothing too wild. Just a simple, fluffy vibe with a very hard crust. My friend got the baked Alaska (which was invented at Delmonico's in the 1800s!) and was a stellar dessert with banana flavor and richness. Super interesting! The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was stunning. Definitely a place for celebrations and fancy energy. I'll be back!
So this was actually our 3rd choice after the first 2 were fully booked and impossible to get a reservation so we "settled" for delmonico'a as they had a "reasonable" reservation time available. We arrived timely and were directed downstairs to a table in the middle of the brightly lit room...I politely asked for a table in a quieter area as I wanted to enjoy a quiet meal with my children who were visiting for the holidays. Thankfully they moved us to a back room with warm lighting and quieter atmosphere. The thing I have to say about the food is that everything was amazing! Special note for the fish entree that our son's fiancée ordered was apparently one of the best fish dishes hubby ever had. This steak house will no longer be a third choice restaurant for us!
Had dinner with my family after a Broadway show. The last time I was here was about 10 years ago. I used to work on Liberty for many years and it was nice to stop by for dinner. We were a party of 7. The appetizers were good. The bacon and the crab cake. We also did the wedge salad and it was good. The porter house was good, but not how I remembered. My sister in law's steak was not cooked right. The sides- cream spinach, brussels sprouts, and hash were good. The staff were friendly and the decor still has that flare, but the food was just ok.
All these years and I can't believe I've forgotten to review Delmonico's! I've been here quite a few times, including back when I lived a few blocks away on Hanover Sq, and I don't think I've ever had a single bad meal here. Let me just say two things: the yellowtail crudo is both the best crudo and the best yellowtail dish I've ever had. And if you've never had their famous baked Alaska before, be sure to try it once in your life before it's too late!

This was my second visit to Delmonico's, but my first time leaving a review -- unfortunately, it's not the positive one I had hoped for. Overall, the service, ambiance, and most of the food were excellent. * Appetizers: The crab cakes were fantastic -- flavorful, perfectly cooked, and one of the best I've had. The raw oysters started off fine, but halfway through my half dozen, one was clearly bad. It had a sour taste, which I only realized after swallowing it. * Drinks: The lychee-flavored cocktail was refreshing and delightful. * Main: The signature Delmonico ribeye was cooked well and full of flavor. However, I noticed the crispy shallots garnish was far less generous than on my last visit. * Dessert: The Baked Alaska was both delicious and beautiful -- especially with the fire presentation at the table. Sadly, the bad oyster ruined the night. I ended up with food poisoning after the meal, which is why I can only give one star this time. I truly hope the restaurant pays closer attention to seafood quality going forward, because otherwise, Delmonico's has so much to love. read more

Food: The food was mediocre. We did the Restaurant Week menu. The burrata was just okay. The candied bacon was good and on the sweeter side. For entrées, we ordered the filet mignon and the salmon. The steak wasn't amazing. The temperature was correct, but I wish it had a better sear on the outside. The salmon was not good -- very greasy and lacking flavor. The clams also had sand in them. Service: There was one server, a man with glasses, who was extremely rude. He came out of nowhere, didn't say anything, and took away our plate, leaving the napkin on the table. This happened a couple of times. He didn't seem as rude to other tables, which was odd. He also took our bread away without asking. We sat down at 5:15 pm and finished everything by 6:00 pm. The service felt very rushed. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be coming back. read more

A classic steakhouse in a busy Wall Street neighborhood. The hostess station and Coat Check has the nicest greeters at the door (and pretty I might add). A nice spacious dining room on the first floor. The gorgeous and impressive wine room and party space on the lower level. I was lucky to score a tour since a friend of mine knows the peeps. The wait staff are exceptional with their white glove service. Polite and well informed of their menu. The sommelier knew just what I'd like based on two questions. Merlot was divine. Must try the Delmonico Signature steak, it's namesake. I believe it was 16 oz, so tender and juicy the filet. My waitress brought some truffle butter on the side. Chef's kiss. The hash browns was quite a presentation as well. At first look it was extra crisp but after the first spoon you reveal a beautifully cooked potato hash. Delicious. The Cesar salad with Anchovies is also a dish to order just because. It's a stunning looking salad and delicious. My other favorite vegetable of the night was the creamed spinach is a must try and notable here unlike other places, you get the whole spinach leaf. They are not chopped up. That was a pleasant surprise. Moving onto dessert - Baked Alaska is their signature dessert and again, final presentation done table side, it's a must order. This was invented here by the first Chef and I can see why it's a favorite. Served on the stunning Delmonico's gold rimmed plate which retails for $100. You gotta see it. The chocolate cake is also sinfully decadent. A classic grand old time to be had. It's a must visit on your steakhouse tour in NYC. Reservations are a must. read more

As a first time New York visitor I was excited to dine in at New York's iconic steakhouse. However, my experience was not the best. Firstly, service was poor given the reputation of the establishment. Our servers changed throughout the dinner service, servers were not attentive. Worst service I have experienced. Secondly my steak was cold and side dishes I ordered were cold as well. My Moms steak was not cooked to the temperature we have asked, the whole experience was not what I expected. Mushrooms were tasteless, cold and bland. The hash browns we ordered were dry and overcooked. My overall experience less than satisfactory. read more

BEST STEAKHOUSE!!! My first American steakhouse was so delicious (wolfgangs) but after trying this one, I would say this one definitely does it better, at least when it comes to the porterhouse for 2 and dessert. The porterhouse was cooked so perfectly, juicy and tender on the inside with perfect char on outside not overly chewy at all. The sauces weren't my favorite, the usual was good enough. The creamed spinach really surprised me by great taste , just wish there was more. They had a huge book of drinks which was so surprising by all the variety. I didn't try any this time, just got the tea of jasmine pearl which was good to wash it all down. The dessert though really finished it all up strong! The baked alaska was soooo unique with the taste and presentation. The chocolate symphony was both hands down the best chocolate dessert I've had. Overall amazing experience. The waiters were also so kind and attentive. The vibes were immaculate as well. read more
Was super excited to try this place. Had a reservation for 8:30 on a Wednesday but the front desk made us wait another 30 mins. Understandable since chase was doing some kind of promo that week. Told us to wait at the bar when the bar was full. Finally 30 mins later they took us to a corner seat outside of the main dining hall. Looked up online and it looks like some steakhouses in NY purposely put Asians in the corner seats which is quite fascinating. The house special steak was very mid and not that flavorful. Overall not worth the hype and would not come back again. read more

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... We had been here and enjoyed a dinner back in 2018. Restaurant Week is back, so we decided to take advantage. This restaurant, as some others did, closed during the pandemic. Since it reopened a few months ago, it has been renovated under new ownership. The place looks pretty much the same with globe light fixtures replacing chandeliers. One of the oversized paintings in the dining room got some updates. But the food! We noticed that even the bread on the table was updated with sourdough and multigrain. The butter was easily spread and tasty. What did they drop in front of me? I thought I ordered crab cake. Hmm. As I found out as I poked into it with a fork, indeed it was all crab, and excellent. The "breading" is not what you expect. It was made up of shredded string potato, crisped to perfection. Ah, easily the best I ever had, and I had great ones in Nantucket. Light and delicious. O M G. Now on to the steak frites. This was Delmonico's signature, and what a lovely steak it is. The accompanying fries came with a most interesting and rich mustard mayo dip. Loved it. Now you can't not have the Baked Alaska. The show is pouring the flaming liquor over the frozen dessert formed as a flower. A Delmonico's original. The service was first class all the way. Very respectful and attentive from everyone in the staff and management. To say we enjoyed it is an understatement. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

This has been our third trip to New York in the last four years. What steakhouse have we not tried yet? Well, Delmonico's of course. And for all its hype and mystique, it did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly and directed to the coat check. Then we were seated under a huge mural. I think that was Gable, Hudson, and Alec having a good time above us. Maria, our server for the evening brought us the menus and offered plain or sparkling water and also took our cocktail orders. I had checked online previously and ordered Mario's Manhattan. Spicy, with just enough sweetness and punch, it was perfect. Warm bread and soft butter quickly arrived. Perfection is the word for the night. For appetizers we shared the Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail. Delmonico's has an interesting twist on the Caesar. Each leaf is served like a chip with dressing, cheese, crushed croutons and anchovies. We liked it. The jumbo shrimp cocktail came with three perfectly huge shrimps, tail-on, a half lemon, cocktail sauce and what seemed to be pickled red cabbage. Very nice as added protein before the main course. My wife and I shared the Delmonico rib eye, an order of creamed spinach, and french fries. The rib eye was a perfect medium rare. Tender but with some chew for the nice dry aged beefiness. We had the shallot au jus that Maria recommended, but the steak really didn't need it as it was seasoned perfectly. The creamed spinach was thankfully not doused in butter and cream; it still retained some of the vegetable quality of the spinach. Fries were great, served with a mustard aioli. For two, this was just right. I had a couple draft Bitburgers with the meal. Dessert! Since we had all the classics beforehand, why stop now? We shared their famous baked Alaska and it was... wait for it: PERFECT. For table presentation and video purposes, it was lit on the table. I had a cappuccino and my wife had tea with dessert. Went on the Saturday before Mother's Day for dinner and I absolutely loved it the staff was friendly and attentive but most of all the food was delicious! The restaurant is beautiful I believe it might was "recently " renovated it gave the same classic upscale vibe you'd expect from delmonico's but with a modern twist We ordered the Caramelized Bacon for appetizer and the Signature Delmonico's Ribeye for our main with the asparagus and fry's for the sides again everything was delicious the steak was cooked perfectly medium and perfectly seasoned To drink I ordered the desperado and my partner ordered the Gypsy rose both were really good overall great experience I can't wait to return! read more

My partner and I were looking for a special dinner recently and wound up at the bar at Delmonico's... and we really enjoyed it! The burger and steak sandwich were both cooked perfectly and delicious. Service was very friendly. Food a little slow to come out, but totally worth it. We are looking forward to coming back and trying more from their menu! read more

I came here on a Wednesday night at 6:15 for summer '24 restaurant week! I had to make this reservation about two weeks in advance and there was very limited availability They text you to confirm your reservation and do have a recommended dress code, including no flip flops, hats, track suits, shorts or sports attire. The service was exceptional. Shout out Christopher! We were very well taken care of in all aspects and even helped with wine suggestions and having our dessert say Happy Anniversary for my parents! The food was amazing. The Maine crab cake has good chunks of crab in it and the yellow tail crust was really tasty. Recommend the yellowtail if you have a smaller appetite! My sister ordered the signature Delmonico ribeye and I think it was much more tender than the dry aged bone in rib eye, but the dry aged definitely had a better flavor. Both of those steaks were an additional $20+. My mom ordered the eye of Delmonico and that was just as good. Both the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were great sides and we all shared! We ordered the yuzu cheesecake, chocolate layer cake and baked Alaska (+$10) for dessert. The yuzu cheesecake had incredible yuzu flavor, the chocolate layer cake was great and loved that they did the whole presentation with the baked Alaska of lighting it on fire! I haven't been to a good steakhouse in a minute, so I was excited to try Delmonico's and now I'm excited to come back again soon! read more

Came here for restaurant week in NYC which is totally worth it to get a taste of what this place has to offer. The venue for this place is pretty large as my date and I was escorted to the back dining room. We got seated right away once I arrived. There's a room with a bar if you'd like to grab any pre-dinner drinks. Dresscode is upscale. For the restaurant meal, you get an app + entree + dessert for 60$ this year. Some options are additional. We tried the yellowtail crudo, crabcake, eye of delmonico frites, and dry aged bone in ribeye for apps and entrees. Everything was delicious. The crabcake was very unique, fresh and flavorful and would totally recommend. Would love to try other dishes on the menu some other time. For dessert, we tried the yuzu cheesecake and chocolate layer cake with ice cream. These were a bit to strong for my pallet. I found the yuzu cheesecake to be a bit too tart and the chocolate cake to be too sweet. For service, the staff was friendly and attentive and overall had a good night. The only hiccup was when they brought out fresh dishes for entree plates it was so extremely hot to touch that I hurt my hand. They brought them out holding napkins without warning. read more

If you haven't been to Delmonico's- have you really been to New York City? 1837 was the year that the Nation saw its first fine dining! How cool! Come in & grab an espresso martini or the famous "Delmonico Steak" I sat at the bar & our bartender was wonderful. He kept up on the service & constantly made sure our drinks were full or refilled! Really enjoyed this meal. Basically exactly what you'd expect from an old school NYC steakhouse, great service and great food. We had been at Delmonico's years ago but had not been back since they reopened until we stopped by during Restaurant Week and had a great meal. We started with the Crab Cake and the Bacon and both were excellent with the Crab Cake perhaps standing out more with the creative potato string crust. For our entrees we had the Steak Frites, Salmon and the Delmonico Ribeye. All were great with the steaks cooked perfectly to our requested temperature. The Delmonico Ribeye was well worth the upgrade charge on the Restaurant Week menu. The Baked Alaska (finished at the table) and the Chocolate Cake provided a very nice finish to the meal. Honest review of Delmonico's: Located at 56 Beaver Street in the financial district Delmonico's was on my list due to its history of being Americas first fine dining restaurant. The interior and exterior architecture is dazzling, the staff were very attentive despite being busy most of the night. I started with the yellowtail crudo, a Japanese-inspired dish featuring thinly sliced raw yellowtail (also called hamachi) fish, dressed with a citrus-based vinaigrette, including elements of a creamy avocado sauce, ponzu, lime juice, and garnished with crispy pearls creating a refreshing and delicate appetizer with a clean, slightly buttery flavor from the fish that melted in my mouth. My main dish was the Delmonico eye a 12oz Ribeye from Brandt family farms out of California cooked medium rare. The steak that came out looked like a sirloin...my waitress wasn't having any of it and sent it back mid bite lol. They came back with a beautiful cut of ribeye cooked medium rare/rare for me and it was properly seasoned and glorious! I am impressed with the dishes and service here! Caesar salad was like a pointillist painting by Seurat. Each leaf was covered with the topping evenly and delicious. The medium filet mignon was cooked just right. The menu says the size is petite, but the steak was 7 oz (198 g) and large enough for me. The creamed spinach was thick and tasty. As for the Baked Alaska, the combination of banana gelato, walnut cake, and apricot jam was fantastic. This dessert is one of the most memorable desserts I have ever had. The person who served me the dishes was very attentive. The classical interior was beautiful. I am happy to visit this restaurant. read more
My experience was such a delight at this restaurant. Came here for a company holiday lunch and everything was fabulous from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu offerings. The decor is kind of like old Hollywood with the white tablecloth. To start I had the yellow tuna crudo and it was delicious. For my entree I had the 7oz filet with a side of mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. This was one of my favorite Restaurant Week meals of all times! I have participated in Restaurant Week multiple times and I was thoroughly impressed with Delmonico's. The service was exceptional from start to finish even though we were there to participate in Restaurant Week and didn't order anything extra. They were attentive and friendly, the meal was well paced, and we were able to take our time. They checked on us just the right amount of times and were able to answer any questions we asked. The dining room is dark and we sat at a table on the outskirts of the room, which is my preference, as it felt more secluded and it wasn't loud or busy where we were. The Restaurant Week menu is large, with 4 or more options for the appetizer, main, and dessert, and the meal was definitely worth the price. I ordered the main crab cake with potato strings and tarragon dill tartar, the eye of delmonico frites, and the chocolate layer cake. I also got to try the yellowtail crudo with avocado, walnut, crispy pearls, seasoned shoyu, and shiso, and the yuzu cheesecake with black sesame, wild blueberry, and shiso. They started us off with a basket of bread. The bread was soft and the butter spread easily. The crispy potato string shell paired well with the creamy crab cake. It was filling but not heavy. We enjoyed the crunchy aspect of the crispy pearls on the yellowtail crudo, but this appetizer was on the smaller side with only 3 pieces of yellowtail. The steak was a generous portion, well seasoned, and cooked to our liking. The fries were crispy and fresh. Both of the desserts were dense. The chocolate cake was very smooth and creamy with a strong chocolate flavor and I was glad that there was ice cream to pair with it. The yuzu cheesecake was our least favorite item that we had. The cheesecake was dense and we felt like there were too many different flavors that didn't all go together. Overall the service was outstanding, the dining experience was enjoyable, the food was well prepared, and the Restaurant Week price was a great deal! I will definitely be back. read more

For the oldest restaurant in the city, I was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype but boy was I wrong. Amazing service, sexy vibes, delicious sides and strong cocktails. Cant wait to come back. Our server was the best! Made it such a special experience read more
