I had made an appointment a week ago to bring my truck in for an oil change this morning 3/26. I walk into a service advisor door and I am waiting. A woman comes around the corner and asks if I am being helped. I tell no not yet. She states she can help me. So I walk over to her desk. I state I have an appointment and give her my last name. I also state I have a coupon. Each time I take my truck I usually have a coupon. The Service Advisor, Carol, states your Tahoe takes 8 quarts of oil. I know how many quarts of oil my Tahoe takes. So, in essence, she didn't want to honor my coupon that is from their website! She did acquiesce. I have a '99 Tahoe not a new Tahoe that does take 8 quarts of oil. Then, Carol asks me if I was going to wait. I tell her yes. I ask if there is a long wait. Carol states, yes 2 hours. I change my mind about waiting and state I will have the shuttle take me home. I am walking out of her door and I stop. I ask Carol if she has my contact number. Now, this should have been a question she verified with me before letting me leave! I receive a call 3 hours later my Tahoe is ready. What is the point in making an appointment? I go and pick up my truck around 3pm. Pay for it and I am walking to my vehicle. I notice the driver side window is down. The motor is intermittment. There was no reason to put my window down. I walk to Carol's office and state my window is down and the motor is intermittment. Why was the window put down? Carol tells me well it is warm outside. That was not her call to make! The temperature was 68 degrees. I tell Carol there as no reason for you to put my window down. At this point Carol got an attitude. She asks for my keys, she never asked where the truck was parked. To me, that means she was the person that put my window down. Carol takes my Tahoe back to the service bay and drives back out about 6 minutes later. I hear my Tahoe coming around the corner so I walk out. Carol had started to back my truck up by the oil changing bay and stopped. As, I get closeer to my truck I say thank you. Carol does not acknowledge the salutation at all. I have never been met with such derisiveness, as I was today at Winter Chevrolet!! Carol's attitude was completely uncalled for! Instead of her apologizing, she tried to put the blame on me!! I am the customer! Well I was! I will no longer take my Tahoe to Winter. You need to send your Service Advisor, Carol, to several Customer Service courses!! read more

Dropped my corvette off, I told them what the problem was (passenger side sending unit, common in c6 corvettes) they troubleshoot for 1 hour, then call me back to ask for another 2 hours of troubleshooting and $480 dollars before they even did any repairs! I declined and picked my car up and they charged me $180 for absolutely nothing! Horrible.. read more

This review is only for the service department. I purchased my car in 2014 from Winter Chevrolet, I had a pleasant buying experience and they even threw in two years of free maintenance. After my free maintenance was up and I had to start paying for my oil changes, I realized that they had a wonderful deal at 4999 you got a synthetic oil change and a tire rotation +16 point inspection. I have only gotten my oil changed at Winter Chevrolet for the entire life of my car. I recently received a Coupon in the mail for a $24.99 oil change, this coupon included all of my information and Vin number to my vehicle. I thought to myself what a great deal, a fantastic value cut in half! I was approaching the 5000 mile mark and needed and oil change so I called to make an appointment, the receptionist that answered was very welcoming and got me appointment to days later at 4 PM. Upon my arrival I presented to the service writer my coupon and she told me that my coupon was not valid because I needed a synthetic oil change even though on the coupon it stated diesel and synthetic "slightly additional". I was then informed that the oil change service had went up to $79.99, a $30 increase, and now I'm not able to use the coupon that was sent to me specific for my car because it required synthetic oil. I feel like this coupon was a bait and switch tactic and was not very happy about it, the service writer gave me a $10 off coupon in place of mine and sent me on my way after my oil change. It's pretty unfortunate That I had this experience, I had built a great trust for Winter Chevrolet's service department and now I will no longer use them because of their out rages price increase, and their bait and switch tactics. If you have a service coupon, be aware that it may not do anything for you. Very unsatisfied with my local Chevy dealer. read more

TY Paris 3/21/2018 I bought a 2011 Hyandai Elantra on Feb 20th 2018....they said bring it back for detailing (it was really dirty)..... on the way home, wheel icon comes on.... head to tire place he goes, you have not too good of tires 2/32 tread which is not safe... Take it in two days later for detailing... notice next day the front window is pitted which could not be seen thru the dust... Tires they tell me oh they are safe will last 50k more (big lie per safety for driving).... so today had to get 4 tires ..... and they will do nothing about the pitted windows..... but at least the car is clean... but remember one thing . This review is for the service department only. Our 2013 Chevy Captiva began making a squealing noise 1) whenever driving up a hill and 2) had the AC on. My boyfriend specifically asked me to make an appointment to have the belt replaced (there is only 1 in this car). So I did just that. When I dropped the car off for service at 7:45 AM two days later, I was under the impression that for $150 they were going to replace the belt. When I didn't hear back from Winter at 4:45 PM I called to check on the status of service. I was told that through their diagnostic 1) they could not hear anything wrong with the car and 2) that they believed me that the car was making noise. Well no duh .... I wouldn't be wasting your time or my money!?!?! So I picked up the car and didn't even drive it for 10 minutes before hearing the noise again. Long story short, I ended up asking for them just to stop their diagnostic and just replace the belt. So they did so for another $180, on top of the already paid $150 for diagnostic. And, Voila ... just like that the car stopped making the squeaking noise. I felt ripped off by their undiagnosed, diagnostic fee. read more

She was very responsive and provided on the details I asked and got be a great deal. Once we arrived, delayed on our part, she still stayed later to meet us. We where than served by Jacob who was very nice and accommodating. After the test drive, Jacob helped gathered all the documents together. Just the usual dmv, titling, tax fees, doc fees, and no other add on extra fees. Once we were done filling the documents out, we just signed the papers with the finance guy. We were in and out in no more than an 1 hour I believe. It was the most fastest car purchase a dealership we've been to. After sales support from Linda was excellent as well. Be right with you." Or "How can I help you?" I finally found an "advisor" and asked him if they were open. He replied, "Whaddya need?" Ok...with the economy in the crapper, and numerous dealerships out of business, one would think that the folks in the service department would want to insure repeat business by a using modicum of courtesy. I came here several times a few years ago looking for a Colorado or Equinox, and received nothing but horrible service. I should mention I was about 20 at the time, and was immediately profiled as such. First, the salesperson asked what I did for a living, and said "no, you can't afford this car." He later walked me over to another car and said "here, this one is cheap." I then left. I came back another time, and asked about an Equinox. The salesperson said "hold on, let me get the keys" and never came back. I left about 20 minutes later when it started to rain. I eventually walked across the street and bought a car from Mazzei, and couldn't have been happier (and I paid it on time, even paid it off early, to the salesperson who said I "couldn't afford a car".) On a separate occasion, I went to Winter Honda, getting prices on a Honda Fit. It seemed like every comment he made was laced with sarcasm. When I said I was checking prices, he cut me off and said "yeah, they all cost about the same." Then, making conversation I said my dad drives a lot and they are good on gas and he said "what are you talking about?! Gas is cheap right now!" I guess he wasn't aware gas prices fluctuation, and add up going to and from SF every day. So, Honda of Oakland got our money. Anyways, I will never buy another car from Winter. Which is a shame, because my next car will probably be a Chevy. read more

This has to be one of the worst experiences and unprofessional sales staff management teams! So where do I began, I sent an email Monday to the dealership seeking a Chevrolet 2013, 2500HD, white, regular cab, long-bed and a spray on bed liner for 28K out the door! And said don't call unless you can make the deal happen. I god a call from their Internet sales manager stating " I have the truck you want" 2012 model 2500HD,I had to tell him the price again 28K OTD! He finally agreed. Since the purchase was for our company we had to do a cashier check and would be COD. We talked everyday about when we could pick up the truck. They stated Friday or Monday and we will deliver once you bring a check. No problem! I asked the sales manager to call our company accountant to discuss the paperwork. He did not call! She called him and he said" we have a problem and he needed to speak to me" he tells her the truck does not have a bed! And wanted $3200 more for the truck! We spoke and I said did anyone decide to ever go and look at the truck or what were you going to put a spray on bedliner on? He apologized which is fine, but why would you call me unless he was going to fix the problem. I told the salesman to let his boss know unless he could get me a truck for the agreed price, he could keep the truck and that I would call FH Dailey and purchase the truck. Also I informed him, as a former employee of a dealership it is the end of the month and year and inventory sitting is not good! And let him know we will never refer them, after I personally purchased 3 vehicles from them. So after calling FH Dailey's sales manager and explaining the bad service, he was able to find me the vehicle within a half hour! $500 more for the 2013 not 2012 and a $500 Lowes gift card!....way to take care of your customers FH Dailey in San Leandro. read more

We don't see your car here in our system, WTF?! etc). I show up pay half a grand for an inconclusive diagnostic and when I get to my car the alignment is fucked up to a dangerous level, my radio is full blast on a banda radio station, a service light is on, and my gas tank is wide open and empty. I had my car serviced here once before and they did a good job. I was really in a pinch this time because I could hear the vehicle was making noise plus the smell of fuel in the cabin. Long story short, they had the car for most of the day poorly diagnosed it saying that there nothing wrong with it charged me $175.00 sent me on my way. These guys are rouge criminals! The service department try to charge you for a bunch of unnecessary service work. They tried to charge me twice for so called diagnostic work. Then they performed a fuel service that was not necessary. Then when I contested the unnecessary work they reversed the charge and then proceeded to fix what they claim was the problem. Fast forward 1500 dollars later my vehicle is in the same condition as I started with plus an oil leak. I am an experience consumer and have been dealing with servicing and buying car for over 40 years. Well i can't believe my experience this time around, i just can't be any more disappointed. I took in my 98 GMC for the security auto theft light issue, which prevents it from starting. It is an expensive fix, but i need my truck so i went ahead and figured they knew what they were doing. First bill was $1457, and about $1200 was for the security fix. When i picked up my truck, the AC was disconnected from the bottom, and part of the dash was broken at the bottom right. One thing i let him know right away was the 4x4 automatic switch was all lit up, and it should only be lit up on one out of 4 lights as it remains on 2x4. He said bring it back on Monday, and we'll take care of it. Well they pushed another bill on me ? It was working when i brought it in ? They figured since they did electrical, it was just an issue that happened when one item was fixed, another goes bad ? Total for that issue $340.00 - on me ? As they gave me back the truck from that fix, grease all over the drivers side floor mat from the inside wiring. Total at this point is $1797.52. Not even a month later, the truck won't turn on, and its the same repeated security light issue ? I take it back as i though they would fix it, due to the 12 month warranty, but no they won't honor it. They said something else is causing the issue, and therefore the cost to fix would be $2000 out of my pocket ? Now i have a non running vehicle ? A week goes by i call and he says as it doesn't run no rush on picking it up. I pick it up 2 weeks later with a tow truck, and someone had broken in and took my lock for my wheels ! This experience i had to share. Beware of this Winter Chevy location in Pittsburg. Don't leave your car there for service, and verify strongly what they are going to warranty. This is my experience this time around. Honestly a total loss of time and money. Never to return again as a customer. read more

APPARENTLY, WINTER CHEVROLET HAD MY REVIEW REMOVED!! LISTEN THIS PLACE FOR THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS A HUGE SCAM! I had purchased my vehicle (2011 Equinox with only 70k miles) back in March 2017, all was going well, until I went in for ONLY an Oil change. After I received my car, didn't drive far and the service & oil lights came on. I returned and the service rep checked it out and with a device turned off my those lights. after driving the car again this time about 30 minutes later the check engine, oil light goes on Again, plus a message on my dash stating to immediately turn off the car, the car started to shake! WTF!! I returned back to the service dept, now the rep is RUDE, said he didn't have time to look at my car that day.I left my car, only to have it seen 3 days later, because the service rep said they were very busy and had to take care of the appointments first before seeing my car. Then got charged $475.00 to replace a sensor. BUT!!! there's more, the service rep suggested that I needed a replacement part with in the transmission and other items they found total repair to $2,200.00 to repair it all. I ONLY came in for an oil change and now Winter wanted over $2K. I complained to the manager, his recommendation was "to contact the manufacturer", that the parts in question was past it's warranty.. Unreliable, Unfair! I took my car to another place, The car was repaired, the information from the repairman that the vehicle was TAMPERED. The repair cost was $900.00 (plus $475.00 for a sensor, that I'm sure was working fine). $2,200.00 as what they wanted. Whatever they did to the car, I could have been in an accident. NEVER AGAIN I WILL EVER PURCHASE OR USE THIER SERVICE DEPT. I also notice that there was another review that was also removed from another previous customer, and she took it to the BBB. This is not a fake post. If WINTER CHEV removes this post, I will re-post. This place does not deserve any stars. read more

Set an appointment for a alignment on my corvette that was my birthday present! It was there all day. Missed work for this appointment brought it home with 2 more issues then it went in with. It had a slight pull to the left when I brought it in. It came out with a steering wheel not centered and a pull to the right as well as the initial issue. Was told to bring it right back so they can fix the problem. Brought it back for them to take a "test drive" that apparently had to take longer then expected? So when he came back all techs were done for the evening!! Now have to miss another day of work to bring it back first thing in the morning so they can fix the car right away! It sat in the back of the shop for over an hour before I had to ask what the status was. Seen it just sitting there then they moved it to the back to just sit longer so I started to follow the car. After realizing speaking to management wasn't going to get me anywhere I spoke with Rose Winter herself she claims she is going to find out what's going on. They send the car over to HONDA for a "better" machine? I'm still sitting here waiting it's now 3 hours later and nobody I speak to or nothing I say is making this any better. They don't have a problem taking my money but they have an issue knowing how to fix an alignment problem!!!?? Doesn't sound like a professional dealership to me. read more
