Dennys is always the go-to place for a 2am drunk dinner. I would probably never go to Denny's on a daily basis, because I prefer ihop instead. There was surprisingly a lot of people on a Friday night around 230am. Service is always slow because there's only one worker that works at night. She was trying to juggle every single table at once. Food actually came out fast for once, not like super fast, but I was expecting it to take forever. I got the blueberry pancake puppies, which were actually really delicious. This is the perfect dessert for me because it comes with cream cheese on the side. The puppies were crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and actually has a nice blueberry taste to it. I will forsure get this again, it was only $2!!! Bacon tots: wish they could have taken out the bacon in this dish, but the bacon is already mixed into everything. I love tots so I had to try it still, I just took out the bacon which was pretty easy. It was very crispy, but I prefer regular tater tots with cheese, Yums! Boyfriend got the sampler with chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and fried jalapeños. Not a fan of the jalapeños, it's literally like canned jalapeños that are fried. I prefer like jalapeño poppers from jack in the box. Cheese sticks weren't too bad, bf said he loves their chicken strips.. Don't know why lol. My husband and I went in for breakfast before Christmas. All was fine until a server that was serving the table next to us started her shift. She got there and took the order of the table right behind my husband, another couple. She then went to their drink station where the cups, coffee and soda machine is and started eating. Immediately after she started blowing her nose. It was loud so hard not to notice. She never washed her hands. Our food had just been brought to our table but we were too grossed out to eat. As I got up to inform someone, she too started walking and began to touch serving plates. Even more disturbed I notified a manager of the situation and let him know we weren't comfortable eating. He was understanding and said he'd take care of the check (we didn't eat). We then see the couple that she had taken the order for start to walk out without eating as well. This place has only gone further and further down hill. This location has disappointed me so many times over the years. I kept coming back because it's just an easy place to go to. the service is always bad. You can tell the servers don't want to be there. Like I get it, it's not a great upstanding job but I'm not a very mean or picky customer. I think this was my last time coming in. The server I had talked kinda fast and with his accent I had to really listen in on what he meant. Even my boyfriend looked at me like "what did he say?" We tried not to give him a hard time though so we just continued on. I ordered the new Cali Burrito. After a few bites I couldn't believe how much cilantro there was. I told the server later on my burrito had so much cilantro in it, and even showed him the pile on my plate. He gave me a strange look like told me " yeah. So next time, just ask for less. They tend to do that with the cilantro." Like??? Issa new item, how was I supposed to know?? I dont mind some cilantro (like it says on the description) but it was used like a lettuce . The whole burrito didn't even hold up on it's own! i had to rewrap it to hold it together to eat it. I didn't even finish first half I started. Not to mention, the flavor was basic. Save your money. I try not to blame the servers for what the kitchen does but I was clearly not okay with what I got and wasnt offered anything else.. Not a remade burrito or a different item to replace it. I left a complaint that they did nothing about. The food was also cold!! This is not the first time this has happened, so I definitely don't recommend it for mobile. Tonight we were seated where we could watch behind the scenes and it holds true that the slower the restaurant is, the harder it is to get good service. So today I decided to take my family in for a simple dinner. I ordered steak and eggs breakfast. I asked for medium rare. When the waitress brought up my order my T-bone steak looked liked they threw it on the burner for 30 seconds on each side. Yes you can tell the steak was white. So I cut into it and it's was rare that you can even smell that it was rare. So I asked for another one. So 5 mins later waitress brings the same steak that I cut into. I told her they didn't fire up a new steak she said no and I cut into it again and the steak was the same. So she brought up a new new one and this steak was the same raw look. I sent it back with a foul taste to my stomach. Beware cook can't determine how a medium rare steak should be cooked. That's cooking 101 read more

I love Denny's but do no love having a bad dinning experience. After my friend and I finished working out down the street we decided to eat at Denny's since it was near the gym, provided healthy options, and reasonable price, so it made sense to pick here. The time it took for our food to get to our table took forever (30mins) and once I got my plate I couldn't believe the item I was staring at was a piece of salmon as it was the saddest excuse for a salmon I've ever experienced. The other issue was my friends order was wrong and we had to wait for his correction and that took another 15-20 mins just so he can get the extra piece of chicken they forgot with his meal. I really enjoyed my server and believe that he should of had more help with his tables but overall it was the most disappointing Denny's experience I've ever had. read more

We went to Denny's after a track meet last night. We haven't been back to this denny's probably the last 5 years now. Because of the pandemic, there were not lot of restaurants open late. We were hungry and it was late. As always, they seem understaff where they have to try to take care multiple tables. Their food was nothing special. But the main issues is that when we lost an important item to us. We drove back the next morning, and the waitress/hostess was rude, and said no we don't have it. They also were rude about us walking around to see if we drop it somewhere near where we ate. Every time we went to Denny's, the service were not great. Despite the questionable surroundings of the Arcadia Denny's I knew that I had met my soul-mate when, between bites of Eggs Over My Hammy, I grudgingly admitted to reading a lot of bad sci-fi series' . . . He inquired,"Like what?" I mumbled, "Star Wars . . ." He went, "Oh, I read some of those . . ." I said, "The X-Wing series?" He exclaimed,"I loved those!" With that, I was in love. (with the guy, not the series. although I loved the series, too). Also, Denny's is pretty much the only thing in Arcadia that stays open all night. This is important when you are having an unexpectedly romantic encounter at 12:30am. This is even more important when said unexpected romantic encounter continues unabated until 6:30am, at which point the fine waitstaff at Denny's politely but firmly points out that you have not ordered so much as a glass of water in the last 4 hours (mainly because you can't stop talking and gazing and talking and gazing and . . .) so will you kindly beat it to make room for the Sunday rush . . . And when this same unexpected romantic encounter eventually proposes to me (we've been together 2 years since that night . . .so it could happen . . .), I will probably be forced to concede a full five stars to a DENNY'S of all places . . .just for providing a venue where this all got started. ***edit*** Just to clarify, I did not MEET my fine gentleman at the Denny's. I changed my mind, I love this Denny's. Despite the sometimes-strange, possibly homeless people who dine here in the wee hours of the night, I now couldn't care less. This is literally my second home. Not only was it here where I "connected" with my boyfriend (now ex? I'm not sure what we stand right now...), but it's the one place I can go to in Arcadia, anytime of the day (preferably late at night), and feel right at "home". Got back from this location roughly 2 hours ago after eating and catching up with my best friend. We sat there for 3 hours chatting away (seriously), while I ate and she drank hot water. Maybe it's 'cause it was a Saturday night and no one had a place to go, but the place was nicely packed. I just love this place now: friendly, warm, and inviting staff, unique architecture, and great food. Slowest Dennys Everrrrrrrr! Came here last Sunday afternoon and there was a huge wait inside and out. We were just two people and thought it can't take that long. We were told it would be 20-25 minutes and we said that was fine. We waited....and waited...and waited. Some people were being called in, but we still waited. I went inside to check and saw a huge line of people just trying to pay and leave. I thought okay we can wait a few more minutes out in the windy cold. My boyfriend finally had enough and said he's leaving. I went inside to take my name off the list and asked how many more were ahead of me and was told 3. Wow. I told her no take my name off the list. We've been waiting for 45 minutes already and my boyfriend has to leave for work in an hour and we've wasted our whole afternoon waiting. The front desk girls just looked at me confused, like how can I be leaving. At least have the courtesy to tell people the wait is going to be longer and see if they still want to stay. Hire more staff, you have two girls working the front and have no idea what they're doing. We left and went to Taisho's down the street. Got our food in 10 minutes and the quality is way better than this dump. read more

And if you're going to talk about your customers, talk out of ear-shot. Props still for being a late-night dining option with a few cheap options ($2, 4, 6, 8 menu). And this gets 4 stars becaaaaaause? Well, it's one of the more interesting pieces of architecture in Arcadia. This Denny's is Wind-Mill themed... that's right. I said Wind Mill. Too bad the corporate monster Denny's had to take over the mom and pop Tiny's that was there before. Recently remodeled and cleaned up a bit, eating inside a giant wind mill adds a special touch to your typical Denny's Grand Slam meal. Seating is laid out in a circular floor plan with nice wood finishes and clean cut ceiling. Nothing beats a Grand Slam breakfast for that price. Service here is great and takeout is fairly fast as well. Can't complain. read more

I'm a proud American so Denny's is like the uber food for me because it has everything that is American and even adds a twist of Mexican, Asian, and other types of food that we love in this society. I have been to this Denny's sooo many times and all I can say to describe it is: Standard. However, there were a couple of funny incidents which I will now relay to you guys. 1. I was with a friend and our waitress at around 2AM was giving us a bad attitude and was slow to serve us. We didn't tip her at all to say the least. 2. One time the waitress, who was a non-native speaker and probably a Vietnamese lady was taking orders from this gigantic trucker guy (client) who had come into eat. It was hilarious when the guy was ordering his food like this: Lady: "what ya want hon" Guy: "Biscuits........Gravy........Bacon........Sausage......Hashbrowns....." Lady: "Ahh so you want any Grand Slam?" Guy: "NOOOOO!!!!!! Let's start all over on my order didn't you hear me at all?" He obv didn't know what a Grandslam was lawlzzzz... Anyways, the place is good. 3 stars just on food. Knocking off 2 stars because we were there for over an hour and I couldn't get our server to serve us. Had to ask the busboy to get us stuff the whole time, even the bus boy noticed it to be an issue. Funny thing is, our server was attentive when we were all done eating. Had a terrible experience today at first. Needed to do urgent tax work and my favorite server Keith is here today he is always stellar in everything he does !! I asked for his section. The hostess said great she was great. I saw 2 booths opening up and asked the hostess if I could take one. She said sure. She crossed me off the list and I sat down. There was one party before me and many booths being cleared. Then this waitress appeared "Susie" I think. (Short, older asian lady with glasses) she had a big scowl on her face and she was leading a party toward my booth. So she started chiding me loudly saying "you can't sit here you're not in the right order" I said they told me that I could and she said no no no no no no no you can't. So she was practically yelling until I finally just got up I talked to the manager he was aware that my name is crossed off the list and he apologized. I got another booth but I needed one with a plug and in my friends section and this woman made in already hard holiday time extremely emotional and difficult it was completely needless drama. She could have quietly gone up and checked with the manager and a hostess but instead she chose to make it a bad scene in front of everybody. I feel like I was completely in the right. As I am watching her now I see her bossing other people around, and gesturing to bus boys and such she seems like a control freak. She should not be in a job where she interacts with people.! Keith of course saved the day he is always polite professional and amazing. People should ask for his section when they come in. With the exception of this one woman the staff is pretty good. The food at this particular denny's is pretty good but the service is what makes or breaks it. Keith was great. We were here for a friend's birthday. Got here at 11:30pm and we weren't seated until 12pm, which was fine because we asked for a large table for 7 people. They have too many booths (4 people max) but only a few tables. Badly designed. Anyhow, we were eventually seated and ordered. The food did not come out until 1pm. Extremely slow. Besides that, sunny side up eggs were undercooked. How can you even mess that up? Beef and bacon in the salad were cold. I love the windmill architecture of this place. It is pretty neat being in a windmill actually. I love the $2, $4, $6, and $8 dollar specials. Our waiter was especially accommodating to us today. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie (kids size), and a $2 (hash browns and biscuits covered in gravy). It was all pretty good at such a late hour.
