We had a wonderful breakfast at the Cocoa Beach Denny's restaurant. I had a hearty 2 egg omelet with loads of great al dente veggies, delish! My husband had the same breakfast as I did but with 3 eggs. My mom had the two eggs sunny side up with bacon, again, done to perfection. The service was great, the server most attentive and the price was right. We'd go back again for breakfast for sure! read more

They crammed as many people into 1 section as they could so as to overwhelm the waitress and prevent her from being able to keep glasses filled. The place is a complete hit or miss but has been more of a miss as of recent. Incredibly slow service but I give them credit where due... when you do get your order it is generally correct and food quality is good. The place tends to get really dirty because it is understaffed. Small town situation where there are limited late night options and they tend to get slammed at random times. Awful. The worst Denny's I have ever been to. I expected the fast, friendly service and diner quality food that is commonplace at all Denny's. This one fell short on all counts. It wasn't a particularly busy time when my family and I dropped in, and because it was holiday season they didn't even have their full menu on offer. We waited over 30mins for our server to decide to take our order, only to find out half the menu wasn't available. Then after we placed our order it was 45mins later and we were still left hungry and waiting. My patience was wearing thin and I made the call to leave. We paid for our drinks and left. First we were brought the wrong food. Then the waitress explained that she never put our order in so we had to wait while people that were seated after us got their meals. Eggs that were ordered over easy had raw egg whites that seeped all over the plate. Sent the order back, the same plate was returned with the same food just a new order of eggs. Ordered wheat toast that the waitress had forgot... After using the restroom observed an employee on their phone leave the restroom without washing their hands. When bringing this to the attention of the manager he acted as if it was common practice to check the restroom without washing their hands... Also noticed mold on the air conditioning vents. Well after reading the reviews glad we came for breakfast anyway. Got say right away at 9:20 arrival time. Ordered and breakfast was on our table within 10 minutes. Very quick! Everything was tasty and our waitress Robyn was pleasant but not in an annoying chatty way. Plenty to eat and the usual low cost Dennys price. We did have to ask for a coffee refill which was the only unusual Dennys problem. The restaurant could use a refresher as it looks tired and heavily used. Good place for breakfast! read more

Not a very clean place. Dirty finger prints all over the glass on the doors. I never feel welcomed or appreciated when I go here.. But when it's the nearest place( walking distance) and I'm starving unfortunately this was my only option.. That was the most disgusting Denny's Iv ever seen. It smelled like a musky basement as soon as you walk in. The booth I was sat in had ants crawling on it. The wall was bowed and there was a hole in the wall. I think they have serious flood damage and a mold problem. The molding was falling off around the Windows and the vents were dripping. It took 30 min just to get a coffee. At this point I wanted to leave but it took so long to see a waitress our order was put in at the same time as our drinks were. Pancake puppies were over cooked. Sunday evening 3/19, four friends from the class of 1980, stepped out of vacation zone and into dining twilight zone. One server/cashier seemed at first to be the only one who knew what they were doing, but not for long. She examined every dish that came out of the kitchen and sent at least a third of them back to be reconstructed correctly. None of the other servers seem to even know where anything was. A British speaking man got up from his table to complain that the food in the window had been there for over 15 minutes and she yelled at him saying " it's not your food so don't worry about it", to which he yelled back that those people would get cold food just as he had. So far it was just good entertainment for us but that was about to change. One of my friends ordered steak and eggs. When she got it she looked at it and said "This is a Porkchop." We all looked at it and agreed it looked like a Porkchop. Then she tasted it, "this is a Porkchop!" We motioned for Lynda, reminded her that the order was for a steak and eggs. Her reply was, "this is what we call steak." I guess cows in Florida go oink?" If it were 2 AM and we had just left the bar we might have believed her, but it was 9 PM and we were Pope sober. My pancakes work great but quite frankly trying to eat while listening to the cooks being yelled at and the cooks yelling back grated on our nerves and we couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

Ive never once written a Yelp review, but i felt like i had to. First off we had to wait an hour and a half go get our food. Then, the food was of course cold and undercooked. My water tasted like tap water, I had to request a bowl of lemons to squeeze into my water just so it would be bearable to drink. The only thing that I can't complain about is our waiter. Took wife & daughter for breakfast to start Valentine's Day. Food was to be accepted. Service was a SCAM. Toast with my eggs never showed up, nor my wife's bb muffin waitress said she would adjust the bill. Went to cash out, gave clerk the bill, AARP card. Clerk informed me that we had already received AARP discount.i replied that server said she was giving a discount for our food shortage, but what she did was give us the AARP discount. Management said sorry we only give one discount. I said we were due a discount because we received 1/2 our food.they said sorry we only give 1 discount. Won't be eating at Denny's anymore. I am going to start off by saying this is the worst Dennys in our area and the customer service is awful. I will not ever being going back to this place ever again. This is the 3rd time we have been to this location in 6 mnths hoping that the service would get better. Sadly to say it has not it has gotten even worse and this is one of the worst Dennys in our area. Today we went there was told there would be a 15 min wait so we stayed after 15 mins people started walking out from tables stating they havent gotten their food and they have been there awhile. Then people waiting started leaving due to no one being seated and that was 15 people. Do you know how much money your company lost just in the amount of time. I asked what the hold up was. The hostess stated the manager told her not to seat anyone due to the kitchen was behind cooking orders 45 mins. I asked her why this was not told to us from the start so we could go somewhere else she said she was just told this but it was happening from the start of when we got their not all of the sudden and since people were walking out that were seated that should tell them something. I spoke to the Manager and told him the thing also stated there is no reason a restaurant should be short staffed on the cooking part this my complaint and that this is ridiculous especially on a Saturday in a tourist location. If a restaurant cant keep up with the customers and have the staff and cooks to take care of them in a timely manner then you either need to hire more people to work or close the place down. We passed the Denny's in Merritt Island to go to this one due to the one in Merritt Island is dirty looking and can use an update, but after this I would rather stop at a dirty run down Denny's which has quicker service and can handle the customers then ever go back to the Denny's at Cocoa Beach. We live in Cocoa and Cocoa Beach is a tourist area there is no reason for a restaurant to have these issues. Either fix the issue or close the place down paying customers should not have to go through this type of poor management skills and lack of staffing. read more

As soon as you enter this restaurant, the smell of mold is strong enough to knock you over. It flooded during Hurricane Irma and all the walls are buckled and there is black mold all along the windows. This place needs to be closed to redo all the sheetrock and do an extensive clean-up! Inspectors should have shut this place down 2 months ago! If you can get past the burning sensation in your eyes and lungs, the food is pretty good and the waitresses are fast and friendly. I wish I could give them 0 stars because my experience with this restaurant was horrible. The lady at the front register kept rolling her eyes and giving me attitude while she took my order. Worst costumer service ever!! I ordered two things, the strawberry lemonade and the lava cake. The lava cake tasted really good but the strawberry lemonade tasted like straight up syrup with strawberry chunks. I know that the lady at the front register who I ordered previously with, made my drink and it was nasty as well as her attitude that night. Received a call from the Area Manager two days after my complaint to corporate and the writing of my review for Yelp. Seems that upper Managements word is no better than the service that they deliver at this establishment. He stated that he was going to personally get to the source of this problem and correct it. Obviously he did not think there was a problem. Had a neighbor just come back from Cocoa Beach and they tried to have breakfast at this place. His story about this place sounded just like the experience that I had. He along with several other diners got up and walked out of this place because of their lack of service. So I blame myself for not looking at Yelp before visiting this place. Previous reviews are spot on. The service is abysmal. Took the family in for a late breakfast/brunch. After about 5 mins of being seated we we're finally asked for our orders. The waitress seemed frustrated and impatient. We gave our orders for food and drinks (without writing anything down as previous customers have stated) including coffee. When my coffee finally arrived it was in a cup with a big ol' lipstick stain on the mug. I politely told the waitress that this lipstick was not my shade (should have left then). When the food arrived all of our orders were wrong or incomplete. My wife asked for grits & wheat toast but got hash browns and white toast. All the other orders were missing something which of course means we had to wait even longer to finish our meal. Maybe the waitress thinks she's so good she doesn't need to write anything down. First of all, I would like to start by saying that the vegan build your own burger at Dennis is more than delicious as much as it is convenient since it's available 24/7. I entered the Denny's with my girlfriend late night since there were no many food spots open in the area. We were greeted at the front door by our server which was great and more than helpful with our vegan requests, which you know can get really annoying at times, and allowed us to sit anywhere. She was really friendly and once we said we were vegan she knew where to direct is. She was also more than willing to walk back and forth from the table to the kitchen figuring out if certain things were vegan or not. I ended up getting the veggie burger which already comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. I added some mushroom, jalapeños, and bourbon sauce to it. It was delicious. We both also got the hash browns as the side and they were awesome, vegan and well done. All in all I was more than satisfied with my visit to Denny's at cocoa. read more

This Denny's is one of the worst restaurants I have been to, no it is the worst restaurant I have been to, there was a waiter who was causing fights with other waiters and cussing. The chefs were cussing and it didn't look like they were wearing hair nets. The food was ok they took forever to get our food and the place was almost empty. The waiter who got us out table had a un welcoming attitude and gave us weird looks. The only reason that this place is still in business is because of vacationers who come in wanting breakfast and see a Denny's and go without thinking about checking reviews, I suggest avoiding this place. It is not a good place to take kids if you don't want them to be exposed to cuss words and crappy attitudes. If I could put less than one star or even negative stars I would. When we left the restaurant there were people who were getting ready to go in and we told them about it and they turned right around.
