Our house recently was flooded and we have been forced to eat out due to renovations. So Denny's has turned into one of our dinner spots and we have just fallen in love with their staff. I'm at work and a co-worker brings in homemade biscuits and gravy.. yum. So two of us at work decide we will go to Denny's (on 6th in Corona, CA) for their biscuits and gravy. I called and placed the order with Kristen. She places me on hold numerous times and even has to ask if she could put gravy on my hash browns. Then she said "No eggs?" I said "I thought they come with either one egg or hash browns?" She said yes. I said okay then on one order Id like an over easy egg and on the 2nd order Id like hash browns. She then repeated the order back to me and said okay. I asked how long and she said 10 mins. My co-worker leaves to pick up the order. When she gets tp Dennys, they said the total is almost $9 - I thought previously the order had been $2 a piece. I go online and see that they changed the menu. I called the store back because I specifically asked Kristen about the contents of each meal. She didnt know? Anyways, I call back and speak with Anna, the manager supposedly. I ask about the order and why she specified what comes with it and it was wrong. I implied that she must be new (since I was on hold multiple times and she had to ask about the gravy). Anna then stops me, letting me know that Kristen is not new and she has been there for years and that she knows the menu. I said well then Kristen must be an idiot because how can she not know the menu if shes worked there for years. I then apologize and say Im not trying to be rude... but before I could finish Anna cuts me off and says You are being rude.. how could that not be rude?! I said well if you said she has been there for years and yet she cant place an order?? I then go on to explain that I specifically asked Kristen if my order came with one egg or hash browns and she said yes. Not both items. Anna, at this point, cant stop calling me rude and how rude I was and I said you know what, nevermind. I'll call corporate. She said fine, you do that. Slams the phone down.. I can hear that she doesnt get the phone in the spot because I can hear the phone being adjusted multiple times before I end up hanging up the line on my side... First of all, I should have never been treated like this.. it doesnt matter what the situation is. Even if you dont get a flying f*** about my call, you pretend you do and you pretend like you'll do something about it. We had lunch here, Ana the manager needs seriously to be retrained! She was mopping the floor and flicking the mop part as to push dirt away,yuck when you have people eating, but the worst was when she hit a older male customer, in the leg, with the mop! The man said "hey, careful" and Ana got attitude with him, "what's your problem, the door is that way, etc" and then continued to talk and laugh with her fellow co workers, saying next time he better say watch out.... Once upon a time, any Denny's you went to was a good place to go, especially this one. My grandparents used to take me and my siblings here. Then, about the mid 90's, they added a Baskin-Robbins to the front, and it all seemed to go downhill. The service is lousy, as is the food, which seems to take forever getting to one's table. Went with my father to go treat him for a B-day breakfast. We had told the waiter that his Birthday is today and had shown ID for a free Grand Slam. When I went to pay for the rest of the meal the manager had rang me up for both Grand slams. We both went back to the manager and told what happened. She said she can't do anything because the bill already transacted but instead can provide a free Grand slam voucher next time we go. Bad service. Ridiculous. read more

Stopped in for breakfast, full house but wait was minimum, Elvira our server provided great service, and the food was cooked perfect. Me and My Daughter come here usually Tuesdays and Friday and enjoy their breakfast. We are always help by the hostess there and she is very friendly. My husband and I just stopped by and had a grand slam with pumpkin pancakes. The place is clean inside the manager seated us as soon as we walked through the door it couldn't of been quicker! Once we were seated the waitress was right there taking our order she went and got our drinks then she came back and got our order her name was Elvira. The manager and her both kept checking on us to make sure that we were satisfied with our food it was delicious!! I went to use the restroom they were very clean too! One of the worst service I have been to! The manager, Sam, was in the worst mood ever! We told him that we were outside just in case they called us to be seated and he said he "sorry I'm working" -- to me that is not very nice of him! Its easy-- if you don't like your job might as well quit ! Our group was of 11 people and it seemed to have bugged him that we came in. Me and my mom always have breakfast once a week and we usually go to IHOP, but with all the construction from the 91 we decided to come here and we loved it!! The host was really nice and welcoming , we were able to chose our own table ! And the food was good. I was surprised that we spent 10$ less than IHOP . And they were big portions . We just came out of this Denny's location we were sat down and everything the host was very friendly. But we were there for at least 20 minutes and not helped what so ever. We were never asked what we wanted to drink or anything. Have in mind it was my self, my husband, and our two year old son. After 20 minutes of the "track order" status saying nothing, I called. They knew exactly what order I was calling about reciting it to every last bacon slice, but then said no they don't deliver. Someone at corporate needs to get delivery straight. Even more confusing is the restaurant got my order... but they didn't know what to do with it. This Denny's is definitely worthy of 5 stars. The restaurant is very clean and all the employees are very nice and accommodating. Lori, the manager is very kind and works as hard as the servers to keep the orders being processed efficiently and quickly. Rosa is also a hard working server and very sweet. Of course the food is delicious!! The patty melts are exceptional as well as the club sandwich and burgers. Additionally, the breakfast items are delicious! Also, don't forget to order the pancake cinnamon balls they are incredible!! read more

Hands down the worst Denny's we have ever been to! We walked in to be told that we couldn't sit together as a family because of an air conditioning issue on one side of the restaurant? Mind you, there were people sitting in the section and the air conditioner was working like a champ. After our food arrived, mine several minutes after everyone else, I asked if it should come with cheese, the nice waitress said yes it should and took my food back to the kitchen where I watched as my food was placed into a microwave to be heated. After yelling please don't do that, my food was returned to me. Lack of attention to detail and CustomerService are very apparent here. I wish I could give 0 stars, simply because this must be the WORST Denny's out there. First off, the waitress took 10 minutes after we sat down to come over and even ask us what we wanted to drink. Then not too long after that, the couple sitting a few tables away from us had been seated before us, yet still only had waters. 10 minutes after that, they left because they just weren't being helped. We finally got around to ordering after sitting there for another 15 minutes. It took 30 minutes, yes 30 minutes for our food to come out, after we ordered! And the damn restaurant wasn't even crowded! I should've taken a picture of my food because it looked like they had run out of ingredients and what I got was a VERY slimmed down version of the picture in the menu. It was also burnt. Instead of waiting another 30 minutes to wait for another plate, I gave it my all and just ate what was there. The only thing that was slightly edible was the side salad that was drenched in ranch dressing. The waitress didn't even bother apologizing for the long wait. Horrible! my family and I decided to go here for brunch, first off they were not busy when we got there and it took the waitress 10 minutes to come to our table to ask us our order for our drinks at the same time we already knew what we wanted to order so she took down our order, it took her about 12 minutes to bring the drinks back to the table, we waited 45 minutes to get our our food then the waitress serves my daughter which she had only ordered 3 sides. it takes her an additional 10 minutes or so to start bringing out our meals so yea at this point we are already hangry and frustrated, i asked her what the deal was and if they were short hand because we were ready to leave this place!, she said no and did ot even apologize as to why its taking so long. then on top of all this my husband starts eating the cold pancakes and notices the middle of the pancakes there is raw flour running in the middle i waived a waiter down and showed him, i asked him to take it and did not want any remakes i have never been a fan of Denny's and this is definitely the deal breaker! this is why we support small business. I went there with my wife 7/24/2012. It was her birthday and she thought it would be neat to have breakfast there. What a disappointment! Waitress Emily took forever to come see us. I noticed someone noticing us and nervously reminded her to take our order. When she returned, her opening line was, "do you know what you want?" After placing our order, we waited a long time to get our food, because we noticed others that ordered after us receive their food. Emily finally brought our food . . . and as expected it was COLD to the touch. My wife was starving and we were running late by then and she ate her food cold. When Emily finally came back and I informed her, she replied, "would you like me to reheat it?" C'mon, really? What customer wants to order food, wait too long to get it cold, and then have it reheated? Was it a complicated meal? No, this was a grand slam! Within every negative experience is the opportunity turn it around. But, with Emily, there is no turning around. no apology, no owning up to any of it, she just decided to look the other way. I asked for the manager, but was inform he/she wasn't there - again, no manager?? Wow!! Since we did not live in Corona, we told our friends who live there about this and they responded, "Oh, it's terrible there, we don't go to that one!!" The food was bad, but service was worse. This is a systemic problem. If Denny's doesn't care enough to fix this - I suggest you try IHOP. I have gone there since and they have excellent service! Ordered dinner through there online delivery system. When food arrived we were missing my daughters side that came with her meal and my steak was over cooked and dry. I called to see what they could do for us. The First Lady offered to have us come pick it up but I explained that I can't drive there now. She said she would get the manager. The supposed manager named Ashley answered with a rude "hello" never apologized for the missing items and then said she would refund me the one dollar that she somehow came up with that it was worth. I said that's fine and she acted as if she couldn't understand me and was irritated. Never once got an apology, the so called manager was very unprofessional I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't really a manager. Would not recommend anyone eat at a place with such poor service. This is the closest Denny's to our house but I will make the further drive to go to a restaurant that treats there guests with respect. Very disappointed with my experience tonight. Went and order my hot tea with lemon and honey...out of honey...30 minutes later still waiting on order not even busy...not once has the waiter came and ask my dad if he wants a refill on his ice tea...dead bee on window blind same one from a month ago when I was here...I let the manager know last time and she apologized to me...I guess that is how far it went never took care of the problem...DISGUSTING!!!
