I recently came for breakfast and had a wonderful time. It was super busy and I came with my family. And each one of us was satisfied with the food and the service! The service was extremely slow, and when we asked how much longer it would be, the server rudely told us we could leave if we wanted. Came to eat breakfast and did not like the visit at all. I'm a big inspector when it comes to food. Service was ehh, server gave us a iffy vibe. It seemed like she didn't want to take our order. Came here on a Friday evening to enjoy a quick meal. Much to my surprise they were not too busy at all. However, it now makes sense why. I live 30 minutes away from the closest location to me because I do like the food but the service my family received today was the worst. First, we ordered nachos and asked for no jalapeños, when the girl brought it it was covered in them. Second, she got my order completely wrong which I was understanding about and waited while my family ate. The third time she drought my order is was wrong again, so I sent it back once again. Mean while her and another waitress played around laughing and talking. I had to call her over and ask about the order she said she had put it in but would check on it. By this time my family was finished with their dinner and we waited another 20 minutes for the third try. I asked for it to be pack to go. I get home again 30 minutes away and find that my food was wrong AGAIN. I am definitely extremely disappointed, especially since I did not get what I paid for and couldn't return as it was 9pm. I was lucky this time that I didn't have to wait long to be seated, this location is always popular with the locals and those passing through town. I've been to a lot of Denny's up and down California but this place gave us the best service , fastest , cleanest. We sat at the booth with big windows, nice and bright. I called 30min in advance to order a simple kids breakfast pancakes and sausage. When I showed up I waited 45min standing, there was 4 other people standing there waiting. We never got asked if we needed help or we will be with you shortly. The other people stated they stood there for an hour waiting for TO GO orders. EVERYTIME, we come to this Denny's there are huge waits for seating, service, or orders, but this time was the worst! We were told there was going to be a 15 - 20 minute wait... It was 40. I had to show the hostess where we could be seated otherwise it probably would have been much longer. We ordered and got our drinks relatively quickly... looked like there might have only been one waiter at the time... We placed our order and then 45 mins after that one person got there food, 5 minutes later the next person was served, 10 minutes later 2 more plates came out and the last person never got their food. I only eat here when using the Tesla supercharger across the street on trips between Socal and Nocal. It's the closest restaurant to supercharger with vegan options. While in town we were craving something yummy and fast so gave this place a try Food: Got the AVOCADO CHEESEBURGER and it was suppose to be no pickles no onions. And i hear the waiter tell them i said no onions or pickles. So all i see them do is pull everything out and i specifically tell them i have allergies. And the cooks wouldnt make a new one and promised everything that touched the pickle was removed. Which seemed to be true till the end when i tasted pickle so i could not finish it. Also the beef was over cooked and paty tasted dry. Bf ordered the CHOCOLATE CHIP PB PANCAKE and instead got Blueberry pancake w PB. He also got the sunny side up eggs which were cooked on both sides and therefore over cooked as well. So basically none of our orders were right or tasted great. So I normally do not eat at Denny's. But it was close to the hospital near here, and it was open. It was pretty late by my standards, so I was happy it was open. But Ivan was so super chill and nice that I ended up staying and eating at the restaurant. He checked up on me and even noticed that it had been a pretty rough day at the hospital. He displayed not only awesome service throughout my meal but just human decency and kindness. Sad to say that even something as universal as that is becoming hard to find.
