Went to Dennys to celebrate my mother's 71st birthday. They sent her a deal for a free slam. They were short staffed, but our waiter did not rush me to make a decision. There were so more options than the last time I went. The brioche French toast was great, the mac and cheese definitely wasn't easy mac, but I do feel like the oil they cooked my tenders in dirty oil. Great service, good food. Haven't been to Dennys in a few months, only because I had a horrible experience my last time I was there. This location in Greenwood was soo very clean, the fastest service I ever had dining out, and food was very hot and so fresh. It was a busy restaurant but the waitstaff were on point. We decided to eat lunch here since it was close to Otte Family Fun where we were headed later and we had not partaken of a Denny's in a long time. It was about 70% occupied so I was guessing it was a good place to eat. We both decided to order breakfast for lunch. The orange juice was refreshing and cold. I ordered the Philly Steak Omelette but was told they were out of the Prime Rib needed to make that omelette so I went with the Ultimate Omelette minus the mushrooms with an order of hash browns and white toast. It was a good omelette because no single ingredient overwhelmed the omelette. Sometimes ultimates are overwhelmed by the bacon and sausage but not this one. My granddaughter ordered the Ham & Egg Sandwich with an order of hash browns as well. It was the first time I've seen her order and eat breakfast potatoes. She made it thru half the sandwich when the sandwich was the size of two sandwiches you and I would make. So she was full for sure. It took a few minutes to be seated but they were busy so no worries. Our server checked on us three times after the food came which was really fast. Cashing out was prompt. Went to dine in a little past 6AM. There was 3 other patrons that were seated at the time we were. The hostess was nice but after that it went silent. We waited about 20 minutes and were not seen yet. The staff were in the kitchen talking and laughing during this time with sometimes them coming out to deliver food. At this point, another patron got up and demanded to pay for his food because he needed to go to work and nobody was seeing him. Another party left making it us and one other person. Another 15 minutes goes by and staff is still in the kitchen talking and laughing. We decided to just leave and get some food elsewhere. It would have been one thing if we were given drinks or even had our order taken (given 35 minutes and just drinks would still be a bit much for there being next to nobody in the restaurant) but we didn't even get that. I don't know what shift is on after 6AM but it's not a great shift aside the hostess. Edit: After receiving the reply I did in fact send and email. But I received no response so at this point it seems like the person caring the most is the yelp account manager. read more

I cannot find any faults at this Denny. The restaurant was clean in the eating area and ladies bathroom. I had a make your own omelet for dinner, crunchy hashbrowns and could had had toast but declined. My friends had quite a few hamburgers and some more breakfast meals. Everyone (we had 19) got there food warm and timely. heather our waitress was excellent at taking are of all our orders and got everyone's order correct. She divided up our bills correctly. The waitress can make or break a meal, she was experienced, answered all our questions and did a great job with a smile. read more

It's Dennys Food. You either like it and are comfortable with what that means or it isn't for you. I'm writing this in April of 2023 to commend Toni for her service. I travel a bit for work and over the last three years the level and pride in restaurant service has been absolutely abysmal. Toni takes pride in her work and it was apparent from the very first moment I sat down. She made the food better, the experience perfect for a quick Sunday morning breakfast. An outdated, but well-maintained interior that is impeccably clean. Tables are cleared promptly; carpets are swept almost hourly. Seating is ample and prompt. Table-to-booth distance and width are optimal, and floor-to-booth/table height is optimal for literally just about anyone. In other words, there may be newer furniture to have, but why mess with perfection? The staff is a mix of old guard and new. The old guard are professional waitresses, having found not only a reason to find the end of their search for a lifetime of work performing a grueling job, but to do so in the manner expected, and to do so at this particular Denny's. The same applies to management. In other words, there are special people working at this Denny's, and it's worth noting. The food is prepared properly, the only drawback being that this franchise has no say over what they can offer. This is a tragedy. This Denny's has engendered itself to the community it serves, but is consistently stymied by its inability to keep pace with the ever-changing tastes. This catastrophic failure to evolve their menu per the dynamic palette of their customer base has made it unduly hard to maintain the very same hours of operation that popularized Denny's. read more

Four of us dined at Denny's on Park. The Waiter/Server was excellent, as was the atmosphere in the restaurant. The country fried steak, the burger plate and the turkey sandwich plate was excellent as was the appetizer. Unfortunately, the lasagne dinner was not. Since there was very little sauce, I expected the meat would be inside the layers of lasagne. There was no meat. It was not advertised as a vegetarian or cheese lasagne either. For $12.99 in the tiny dish it was served in, I had definitely expected more I definitely do not recommend the lasagne. read more

This review is for a delivery version of Denny's called "The Burger Barn". I ordered this assuming it was a different restaurant, not just some disguised version of Denny's food offered in a delivery app. I am shocked to learn this is Denny's. I am familiar with their food and the only thing I recognized was the fries. The burger (a Double the Fun burger) was one of the best burgers I have had in years. Being from New Haven county Connecticut, this burger reminds me of the types many of the places claiming to be the birthplace of the hamburger would serve. Only a larger size with more evenly distributed cheese and caramelized onions. My first impression was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Near the end I was actually bummed it was about to end! I highly suggest this for burger lovers that enjoy a simple, good burger. Worth every penny. I can foresee myself enjoying one a week for a while. read more

This by far was a top notch breakfast and delicious food!! The service was friendly and prompt. Our server, Stephanie, went above and beyond to ensure we all enjoyed our meal! I only eat sugar-free items, gluten-free and lots of veggies. Stephanie saw I wasn't eating some of my good and actually took the time to get me sugar-free jam so I could finish my meal. Had the opportunity to have breakfast at this location on Veterans Day. They were busy but well staffed. Short wait to get seated, 5 minutes. Server was on top of their game and food was served quick. Drink refills timely and quick. So we went last night randomly. I hadn't been to Denny's in like 10 years, but I've done Uber Eats deliveries in the past and it always smelled stupid delicious when I picked up from there. So I've wanted to try it again as an adult. So I will say they have decent specials for a breakfast place. They have this menu of random stuff that starts at like 2, 3, and 6 dollars I think. Something like that. And they also have a menu with daily specials but it's mostly for kids and seniors. I got a BLT and fries and was totally stuffed for like $6. The food was pretty good. My fries were crispy and fresh and my BLT was great too. My husbands pancakes were good too and he also had eggs and something else I forget. His eggs had an eyelash in it tho. He didn't say anything which I still think that's gross. Lol My husband went to wash his hands and the food came while he wasn't there and he saw it right when he got back so it wasn't his. The main reason I didn't give 5 stars was the service. Our server was invisible lol. Needed refills. She wasn't around. Didn't bring the honey mustard and I kept waiting and then asked another waitress and she even mentioned she had no idea where our server was and it's just easier to get it for me herself than track her down lol. Then she finally came back and was going to get me a refill but didn't bring the vanilla Diet Coke just regular. Which is fine I didn't say anything. But there was like maybe 4 tables in the whole restaurant taken it wasn't busy and she could have been way on top of it but she just wasn't at all. read more

Gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by this 'murican chain. Most of my friends know me well enough to understand that I'm not one to normally set foot in a corporate franchise. I like my locals, dives, and hidden gems. But, when you're invited out for brunch with family who are more of the chain-type diners, you don't complain and just do your best to find something you like on the menu. Well this Denny's down in Greenwood has my vote of confidence! Not that I'm going to dine here every Sunday with the church folks, but I definitely won't get squeemish when I'm asked to brunch here ever again. The inside looks like it's either been newly remodeled or it's one of the newer built restaurants with more modern decor and such. And the staff do a great job at keeping the place clean. I have trouble entering establishments like Denny's because I never know if I'm going to be disgusted by all of the "garbage" strewn under and on the tables. The Greenwood Denny's has nothing of the sort. The floor was very clean and all the booths and tables were clear of plates, crumbs, and other crap. Nothing is more unappetizing at a diner than when tables haven't been cleared (it brings out the OCD former-waitress in me haha.) Our server was cheerful, timely, and patient (we were waiting on a couple guests who were late.) Best part (for me at least) is that Denny's now has healthy options that actually taste quite good. While my brunch counterparts were able to indulge in their syrup-laden pancakes, fried hashies, and such, I got my daily dose of fruit 'n veg on with the Fit Slam®. Now even though I'm a health food nut, I tend to turn my nose up at turkey bacon because it's easily overcooked. The cooks did a fantastic job on that bacon! And my egg whites and spinach were cooked just right as well. You even get a nice little fruit cup to finish off your meal. No complaints from this lady. Keep it up Southside Denny's! I will be glad to come back and visit when my brunch partners request your food and service. read more
