We arrived around 1pm, the place was empty, well not completely empty because there was one table occupied by a small family. 30 minutes later, we began being served our food, but the meal wasn't completed. Example, you will get the peanut butter on one slice of bread, then 10 minutes later you'll get the jelly side. But in this case, I got my tilapia and burnt Zucchini... then 10 minutes later my mash potatoes... then another 10 minutes my 6 tiny pieces of Broccoli. The presentation of my food didn't make you lick your lips and ready to dig in. But my plate of mash potatoes was HUGE. The service was soo slow, the manager had to get in the kitchen to help. If you need a 24/7 place to eat in the area, there are virtually no other options....Denny's it is. Having said that, you'll probably know in advance what type of food this diner serves. For Denny's, this location is good. The food is usually fairly quick in arriving. The servers are friendly, and seemingly very experienced at their craft. The slower staff members appear to be assigned the role of host or cashier... Be warned at checkout. All in all, I give it a four star rating instead of five only because they scrimp on condiments and including napkins, frequently giving diners cocktail napkins after the original silverware accompaniment. Denny's has always been a favorite of mine, ever since my early college years when a bunch of us would stay up all night, drinking coffee, shooting the breeze, and just plain being layabouts. When you go into a Denny's it's not necessarily for the atmosphere or service, it's because you want cheap, decent food and a place to relax. Now, this particular Denny's I've been to a number of times and it hasn't really disappointed. It's not my favorite Denny's, but it's the closest one since I'd long since moved. Some of the servers here are top-notch, while others are a bit slow. The food is usually good, although occasionally they might overcook a piece here or there. This place is just your typical Denny's with nothing to set it apart. That's why I give it 3-stars instead of the usual 4 I give to places I regularly visit. Denny's is open 24 hours, with this said it has always been the go-to place before drinking, during drinking (for some) and the cure-all for the day after hangover. Yes, it does look like the rundown s***** place in which a bunch of poor people eat (even sleep) or even the regular neighborhood drunks (or druggies). However, DENNY'S IS AWESOME. You can't go wrong here, ever. From their banana pecan pancake breakfast, fit fare skillet, fit slam, santa fe skillet, blueberry pancake breakfast, zesty nachos, and if you really want to be bad: smothered cheese fries. Can't forget their amazing $2, $4, $6 and $8 Dollar menu! The best ones are $2 quesadilla, $2 stack of pancakes, $2 original pancake puppies sundae, $6 French toast breakfast, and $8 chicken loaded potato skillet. Fun facts on Denny's: 1. It's Dennys, so you pretty much know what to expect. It was one of the few places open on xmas day, so we headed there for dinner after seeing a movie at the mall. The place was hopping, but we were able to get a booth right away. Unfortunately, they were still handing out a special seasonal menu, even though they were actually out of most of the special items (the server said that a new menu was coming in a week or so). I think I had an omelette, which tasted like a Denny's omelette. They don't really go beyond salt when seasoning a dish, so it's pretty average food, but certainly filling (of my stomach as well as arteries). I woke up craving Denny's nachos so gave in and went to this location to satisfy my stomach. Service was great and the manager even stopped by our table (and others I noticed) and made sure everything was to our liking. I also noticed one waiter was very enthusiastic and friendly with the tables around ours and thought it was nice to see someone who enjoys their job that much. I have a small stomach so I got the half order and I must admit it wasn't the best order of their nachos that I've had. The cheese seemed a little off with the consistency being rather goopy instead of the standard melted stretches when you pick up a nacho cheese. Also the meat topping flavor seemed a little off. The waitress brought the sour cream in a side dish which I can't recall ever having at other locations and I thought this was a nicer touch then just a dallop on top since they never seem to give enough sour cream. As always, I got a vanilla coke to drink and it was superb! If I was to visit this location again, I would probably skip the nachos for something else but I would still get a vanilla coke. read more

This particular Denny's needs an upgrade big time, unless you enjoy the good ol days back in the 90's when it was the go to place after going to the club. We were disgusted and appalled. We immediately flagged down our waitress and asked to speak to the manager on duty. Sayid, the manager was very apologetic and stated that he would comp the appetizer and he will have a fresh batch on buffalo wings sent out to our table. Once we received our food, everything was fine until I started to eat my steak. I ordered a well-done steak. My steak was pink. Again, we flagged down our waitress and asked to speak with Sayid, again. Our waitress went behind the counter with the pink steak and she was approached by the assistant manager Veronica. My family and I overhead Veronica say to our waitress that we just wanted free food. My significant other and I were sitting there with our four children trying to enjoy our meal that was completely ruined by the raw chicken that we were served and to hear that statement by the assistant manager was the straw that broke the camels back. The wait time is ridiculous, by time we received our food my plate was warm like it was sitting. I blame management. I was in that area with a hungry six-year-old boy at about 10:30 AM, which means that a lot of restaurants weren't yet open. Since I didn't want straight-up fast food, Denny's seemed like a good, economical choice. It wasn't particularly good, and I felt ripped-off by what I paid. Although the restaurant wasn't empty, it was far from full. There were far more unbussed dirty tables than occupied tables. The dining area is carpeted and the carpet is gross. The line area that is visible from the entry (drink station and such) seemed reasonably clean. After we were seated, I moved the ketchup/seasonings/jelly thing at our table and discovered that they don't clean under that. We had to wait to be seated (while a server took over-the-phone orders in front of us) despite it seeming not busy. Finally we were seated at a table in a back corner and the server appeared fairly promptly. He mumbled pleasantly at us; I'm not entirely sure what he said at any given time during our visit, but he was fairly prompt with the coffee (for me) and apple juice (for the boy). Our orders were fairly un-remarkable, consisting of breakfast foods (eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fruit). It took almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Given that it took that long, you would think that the bacon would be cooked fairly well; it was floppy. And we're not talking about thick-cut bacon, either; this was barely thicker than a piece of cardstock. The hashbrowns had a few areas that were crispy, but they were mostly just warm, raw potato. The sausage links *were* cooked well, and the fruit was fresh and nice. My son ate his fruit, scrambled egg, and sausage links. Then he ate my sausage links and some hash browns, and then asked for a hamburger. We decided that would take entirely too long. The check came to just under $17 for coffee, apple juice, an adult two-egg breakfast (no breads or pancakes), and a child one-egg breakfast. We could have been better off at Chick-Fil-A. As a matter of fact, on our way home from Denny's we hit the Chick-Fil-A drive through to pick up a "snack" (of 16 nuggets) for the still-hungry boy. He has asked me several times today why we went to such a slow, bad restaurant. read more

The Denny's in Wauwatosa, WI unfortunately had the worst service. Our streak wasn't cooked as to how we asked, we waited about 20 minutes for a server to even acknowledge us. We were seated next to where the food is put on trays and had to listen to managers bicker back and forth. Many other guests were upset too and the managers seemed to do nothing about it and had poor guest relation skills. I wouldn't recommend going to Denny's. read more

10/15/17 I had my doubts about going to this restaurant in the first place. There were very few Denny's in the area and this one seemed the best out of what we had to choose. When we first arrived the place wasn't busy at all. However there was only one waitress and one cook. While we understand she was trying her best she didn't seem to prioritize things correctly. There were dirty tables everywhere. We got seated towards the back of a restaurant. I don't know if this contributed to her lack of attention to our table or if she was ignoring us on purpose. We were only in town for the night on our way from Philly back home to North Carolina. This place was definitely not up to the same par that Denny's in NC are at. Even when they are bustling with people and there is only a single waitress and cook they still manage to make everyone feel like a priority and not a bother to wait on them. We got our food, it wasn't great but it sufficed for time being. Service wasn't fast seeing as how start to finish we were there nearly two hours. And how the staff wasn't exactly that typical friendliness that you get when at restaurant. Overall experience, service, and food could have been better. That is why I am only giving one star. Below is a timeline of what happened to give a better understanding. 1:48- Arrival Walk in and see that there's hardly any customers. I don't know if they make their own. 2:25- Food Arrives 2:28 checks on us 2:33Realized we need napkins. Have not seen waitress come by in a while 2:37- she's disappeared again 2:39- Ask and get more napkins 2:48- Didn't see the waitress until she stops by to check on us. 2:53- We realize we haven't been asked if we want more coffee. I visited this location last night 7-31-20 after a late evening flight from Houston Texas. I just wanted a quick bite after a long day. I hadn't had Denny's in years, it was attached to the hotel I was staying in, so it seemed perfect. Let me just say... NEVER AGAIN! I Literally only ordered a double burger( pickle, onions, mustard only) and fries. Easy right? Well after 4, literally 4 times, these IDIOTS still could not get it right. 1st time it had cheese and sauce, 2nd time onions only, 3rd time pickles only, 4th time cheese and onions only??? Came here yesterday morning for breakfast before taking my in laws to the airport and we just had a pleasant experience. Our servers name was Barbara and she was excellent. Just the sweetest server ever. She was very friendly and brought our drinks and food out in a timely manner, which is great when you are starving! MEANWHILE we had 2 skillets at the table and the second one came with the rest of the food. So either that server lied or she broke policy. Which I've eaten at Denny's MANY times and never had my skillet come out at different times. I had pancakes with my meal and was mortified at the syrup bottle. SO DISGUSTING! Just attempted to eat here after picking up my husband from a late flight. The place smelled atrocious but he was hungry so I just asked for a table away from the kitchen/stink. So i always order online through doordash or ubereats at dennys because i loved their spaghetti and my fiance loved the omelletes so much but everytime we order online we get disappointed it's because there's always always missing on our food or it was made wrong, So we stop ordering for a while and my fiance and I came back last week for two consecutive days and the first day we decided to eat dennys after work and there is only two tables that time and we ordered and we waited for almost an hour before we received our order and one of our order was wrong and they didn't at least change it for a new one so we cancelled it, then the next day after I got off from work again we decided to eat dennys again because we wanted to see a movie at arundel mills mall after dinner and guess what they said it's backed up in the kitchen so the waiting time for us to be seated is 10 mins so we said okay no problem and then they took our names and they wrote it down on the paper and then we sat and waited for our names to be called in 10 mins but end up we waited 35 mins before we got seated on the table and after that 10-15 mins before they took our order but we still manage not be mad or angry about the waiting time so after they took our order we had to wait almost an hour again just to get our order (omellets, spaghetti and crepe) and after almost an hour or hour the staff came to us with my fiancé's food and told us we ran out of spaghetti today can I get you anything else today? And I was like WOW we waited almost two hours(YES TWO HOURS! I have security cameras for proof) just to tell us you ran out of spaghetti? Just wow! And i told the lady that we are going to cancel our order and my fiance and I walked out with a big disappointment on our face. read more

This was the absolute worst experience of dining ever! We came in, the store smelled, however we decided to look past that. We were told we would have one server, and was switched to another server. She was unable to keep up with our order, she didn't take the menu's away, food came out separately not all together. We had dinner here on Christmas day as we needed to get out of the house. I give Denny's credit for being open. They were quite busy as many people also wanted to get out and the they were short staffed - I'll forgive the slow service, they were trying hard. This location reminds me of a diner attached to one of the old casinos in Freemont Street in Las Vegas. Very tired, 80's decor with well-worn, stained carpets. My husband my daughter and I went to this location today about 6:30 pm. We were one of the 3 patrons there at this time. It took a fairly long time to have a waitress come to our table. Once she came she was ok Victoria was her name. When we walked in we had a hostess cleaning up the dining area one family ahead of us. This hostess (skinny white older lady) was blowing steam off out loud saying I wish she would come out and actually manage. I gave her a funny look. I as a supervisor and someday's a cashier I would never be like that in front a customer. This location needs a deep cleaning. I also seen a sign that a manager was suppose to visit each table. Not a single person but out waitress in our area. I would also suggest getting some ventilation in the ladies restroom it's very muggy in there and the smell of cleaning chemicals are very over bearing and makes it difficult to breath in there. I smell chemicals and see little to no cleaning. The toilets were washed but what else? I will try one more time and update eventually. read more
