Yesterday I experienced probably the worst customer service ever from ALMA. Last night I came around 1:00-1:30am and I understand that the waitress might have been tired but I felt that she was intentionally trying to be rude. While paying for my order it seemed like she was annoyed of my group and was rushing us to purchase our orders. A couple of our orders were messed up because they added more drinks to our receipts.She did not give us back our receipts to add our tip so I'm a little worried about that. If I'm getting over charged on my meal I'll know who to blame... ALMA. read more

Good reliable food, just like every Denny's I've been to in my life. The food and value and the fact it's a signature American dining establishment is the only reason why this location is still in business. My girlfriend and I came here around midnight to a very empty dining room. However, our server somehow took longer than usual to greet us and take our orders. In addition, he failed to bring us our check within 20 minutes of us finishing our food, and didn't check up on us once throughout our meal. What made it even worse was that a woman who appeared to be the manager/supervisor just sat at one of the dining tables while her servers failed to live up to the outstanding customer service reputation that Denny's has. We eventually decided to go up to the host (very kind young man), who made our visit somewhat better, props to him for doing the server's job by giving us our check and takeout box. We won't be coming back to this Denny's any time soon, this specific location is definitely an outlier from the rest of the Denny's I've been to. read more

Went last night Friday Nov. 4th. We arrived approximately at 10:30 in the evening they were fairly busy in the moment but not really there was plenty of open seatings. We asked for a table of four no problem took less than a minute to get seated. We had helmets in hand as we had arrived in motorcycles. We sat on a table for four but used the seats next to us to set our helmets. The manger immediately asked us if we needed that table and I said well if its okay yes if not we can move our things.And he remarked pretty hastily like really for 4.. and then the server came and repeated saying its a busy night like you need this other space for 4. wasn't very welcoming after so. If the busser had been doing his job this would not be a problem and it surely wasn't because they weren't as busy. His service was pretty dry. wish I knew his name but he never said so. Consistently great food and friendly service! The staff are like a big family, laughing and cheerful and it feels like I'm coming over to a friend's house to eat. Over the years it's always been a great experience. They moved us to accommodate us to a nicer location in the diner. The food was delicious and prompt and they were so flexible with all the substitutions my children wanted to their food. Rude service. Food was ok but our server, Javier F., kept making snarky, racist, and inconsiderate comments. He disrespectfully assumed I was shy because of my race and pretty much thought I didn't know how to talk. I called him out on his indecent remarks but honestly, this is not the type of thing that should ever happen to someone. He even poked fun at my friend and mocked her for being vegetarian. What's worse is that he was extremely insensitive to recent events (the Orlando shooting incident) and made a completely inappropriate comment about it. Terrible. I can't believe some people. I've been here before, and had good service, but my visit today was terrible! I was seated and then ignored for 10 minutes (no drink, etc) - and the place had very few customers during noon time (which should have told me something). Also, workers were behind the counter talking and not working. You should either go to Knowlwood next door (they have great burgers!) or the I-Hop off University drive (great service with a smile and great breakfast!). This place has gone downhill!!! Hello my name is Ryan and I would like to take the time to share the horrible experience I had at this Denny's. I thought it would be a great idea to take my Father to Denny's for Father's day. It was the worst idea ever. We had a party of eight everyone was enjoying their food when my girlfriend finds a bug in her food. We sent it back and they brought her another plate. We did not make a big deal at all. My girlfriend started to eat her new plate and she finds hair in her food. This is just not acceptable at all. We brought it to the manager Juan's attention. He was the rudest and most disrespectful manager I have ever seen. He did not care at all and had the nerve say they do not have bugs and walks away while we are speaking to him. I expected better customer service from Denny's. We always go there with a very large group but after this experience this will be the last time any of my friends or family goes to this Denny's. The food was contaminated and the management does not care at all. BE VERY CARFUL IF YOU DECIDE TO DINE HERE!!! read more

Such crap service, I should not have bothered tipping. Although the food was fine (nachos / chicken quesadilla) the servers don't know what they're doing, and do the absolute minimum as far as "service." I find it amusing they have signs that say "welcome Culver customers" since that location closed, and "friendly service by friendly people." I'm going to have to go to dictionary.com and check the definition of Friendly, because that sure isn't what I experienced. Wow, they suprised my wife with a ice cream desert on her birthday today. Not only did they suprise both of us, but also sang as a group to my wife. I wanted to take the time to acknowledge what a great experience my 4yr old daughter and I had this afternoon. First off we were greeted when we arrived. We sat at the bar and within a minute our server Veronica B was there to take our order. They were very busy today and we were asked by at least three different servers if we had been helped at which I replied yes because Veronica B was already on top of it. I have never received such great service at a restaurant as I did today. Veronica B is top notch and in my opinion a huge asset to the Denny's chain. So I don't know what was going on when I came in at 11pm on Saturday night after work but it seemed every server there was chipper despite it being so late at night. Walked past the patio side and was cheerfully greeted by I guess the patio host or server. She asked how many but since it was a bit chilly outside I wanted to sit inside instead. Well, another server was holding the door to the main restaurant open and greeting us and quickly ushering me and my sister in and quickly led us to a table. There was also a man there, I guess he's the manager, greeting customers as they come in as well. She was very prompt with getting drink and food orders. My sister had previously eaten so she didn't get anything but I was starving so I got the crazy spicy skillet with over medium eggs minus the meat, plus a side of garlic bread and avocado add-on and a glass of orange juice. Skillet was spicy all right, just not "crazy spicy" even with the numerous jalapenos. read more
