We understand that there is a Pandemic and business are doing their best, but in this instance we had a server named Kristina and she just doesn't care and has no sense of customer service. It took forever to get a glass of water or for her to check on us in general. After getting some drinks and waiting approx 25-30 min (we gave her time because we understand there is a Pandemic) to get a refill or for her to ask us for our food order. We saw that she was losing track of the orders and helping other tables out that arrived after us. We then contacted the manager and he immediately gave us another server (Danny) and he was great. After we got our new server we saw her get upset and she was even caught by the manager hanging out with a table that seemed to be her friends. That's just unprofessional and it's clear that she doesn't care. The cooks did a great job because the food was great. We were glad to see the manager quickly solve the problem and went above and beyond checking on us every time he passed by us. For the last 6 months or so I've been bringing my sons here for breakfast at least once a week. We used to go to other establishments in the area for breakfast but after the first few times my boys always request Denny's every time! The main reasons are the people who make us feel at home, fast service which is important before school, and the food which they love. During this pandemic, things have made a great turn when it comes to restaurants turning into TAKE OUT ONLY! Many don't catch on quickly at all and I do understand! Tonight I go to Denny's because my inner fat kid has serious hunger pains in the late evening hours...so I stopped into this one in Lake Elsinore and I have to say WELL DONE LADIES! The only waiter and the only cook were both very strong minded, courteous, willing and motivated individuals who truly take pride in their work and it shows by their service and by their gratitude. I only ordered take-out but sometimes you get the best experiences from just having a simple, genuine sense of appreciation for another person and their plight. These women were running a restaurant all by themselves and they were ON POINT! Of course they were short staffed, who isn't these days? But they were working as quickly and as efficiently as one could and I just appreciate the effort to please the customers and make sure that we are taken care of. Simple "please and thank you" goes a long way and I can say that these employees did just that and then some! Thank you again ladies of Denny's the service was as delightful as the food! Denny's has a special place in our heart because of the late night memories we have made at Denny's in our early twenties! The restaurant is dark and the smell of sewer when you first walk in (which lingers slightly throughout your meal), is unappetizing at best. Our food was served incomplete and without follow up--we had to interrupt our server's conversation with her coworkers in order to get jelly for our toast, A1 sauce, and refills. WORST EVER...! it was freezing inside. we arrived at about 11:30pm and there weren't many people inside. it took 15 minutes to place an order for hot tea and while we waited for our drinks she was chatting with other staff. we both ordered the super slam, eggs over medium, all bacon and hash browns we'll done. when our meal arrived my hash browns were literally white, not in the least well done. she ordered new ones. meanwhile I started on my eggs to find that they were completely undercooked, runny on both orders. I showed the server and asked for the whites to be cooked with a yoke. she returned with well done hash browns and well done eggs, they looked like fried eggs, completely dry yoke. I told her I couldn't eat them and she took my plate and said ok. When we got the manager involved he was super understanding and said the eggs looked sunny side up. we barely touched the food so he didnt charge us and gave us a discount coupon to try their service again.' We just had the most enjoyable breakfast experience!! Please thank you, a big thanks to the staff at Denny's Grape Street. They were unbelievably friendly, professional, and courteous. The service was excellent!! Six out of five stars is not even fair. We were blown away by the service & the excellent food. Would definitely come back here again. Sean, our server, was exceptionally friendly, courteous, respectful, & knowledgeable. He provided fast & efficient service, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, & did it all with a smile! This place has been a great place, nay, HOME to come into after those hard days at my school to get a milkshake with my brother. As I speak it is 10:44pm PST, and I was seated immediately with the staff coming even faster. As I wrote this, I was actually delivered my milkshake, in... 4 minutes? My friend took me to lunch this week. He chose Dennys. It was very slow when we arrived about 11:40am. No one to greet us, but eventually the hostess\server seated us. She came back to take our beverage order then came back to take our order. I ordered French toast and my friend ordered a sandwich. When se brought the food I was surprised that I got 1 slice of French toast cut in half, and had to ask for syrup, the bread on my friends sandwich was the consistency of croutons. My French toast was good, but not nearly enough for a meal. The server never came back to see if we needed anything, we had to get up and walk around with a empty cup looking for a refill. It was not worth 27$+3$ tip. Will never go back. This place is seriously mis managed. read more

Holy cow. What a ridiculous experience I just had here. Our server, Lema, was fabulous. So personable and giving the best possible service for the circumstances. Lema was the only server on duty with only one chef in the kitchen. I felt sooo bad because she was COMPLETELY overwhelmed with tables. After 2 hours of being here and finally receiving our food- all at different times -we are getting ready to leave and ask for a discount on the check (many other people were getting up to make complaints, as well). This is when we see that there was a MANAGER ON DUTY, BRIDGETT, who was sitting her lazy butt down in the office while her staff was struggling and overwhelmed, and the customers were unhappy! When Lema approaches Bridgett , Bridgett waves her off. When we tell her we were unhappy with the speed of service, but our server was great, Bridgett seems apathetic and gives an annoyed "oh. Sorry about that". And then we just flat out say "we need a discount. The service was unacceptable" and she takes like $12 off of an almost $100 bill!!! WTF?! I've worked in the service industry and I can tell you, in any restaurant I've worked in it would EASILY be a 50% comp. Please avoid this place at all costs. This is the 3rd time we have gone to this denny's and walked out .tonight we tried to go here around 6pm and we walked in and there was a crowd and a lot of full tables with customers that hadn't been helped yet . According to the people standing in the front waiting to be seated there was only 1 waitress and 1 cook ?? She was also the hostess. We saw at least 20 people walk out due to standing there for so long without being helped . We left also, This place needs a complete restoration. Its always dark as can be inside and not very clean. They need to brighten it up and clean it .I feel bad for the staff there,where are the owners ? Where do I start. Usually don't write reviews but it's been a minute since I've been to a diner where I had such exceptional service. Not only was the food amazing but the whole experience made it even better. My husband and I went in for our weekly breakfast date and wanted a good old fashioned breakfast so we went in and were seated almost immediately. Our server Julia was top notch, never had an empty cup of coffee, which tasted like a fresh pot was brewed each serving. Julia's suggestions on add ons were perfection. I'm so happy she suggested the pancakes, they were perfectly fluffy. She made us feel so comfortable with her attentiveness.
