Denny's is probably my go to affordable Sunday breakfast. I would not give it 4 or 5 stars but for budget friendly it's awesome. I do recommend the Build Your Own Grand Slam just because you can pick what you want. The wait can vary from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. Food has a bland palate to suit mass population. There were so many people standing around and there were at least four unbussed tables when we walked in. I went to the restroom and a tiny roach crawled over my foot. There was also a big bag tied under the sink to collect leaking water. It was very full. We decided to eat somewhere else. read more

Starting off it was ok, was seated and ordered our drinks. 5min later another lady came and took our drink order to which I added a milk and water. Another five min and the first drink order came, but no milk and water. Took another 5 min to place our order, 15 min to get our food.I didn't get my tortillas she brought me toast and said that's what she brought me. My eggs were over easy not medium. They didn't notice there wasn't any napkins or ketchup. Then the food was so greasy and salty. Still no milk. But I did finally get a water. They didn't even ask if everything was ok when o pushed my plate away from me after taking only a few bites. got the tortillas about 7 min after our food. when we asked for ticket and she asked me if I wanted a Togo container I said no. she just looked at me and I said it was not good at all and too salty and greasy. She just said "I'm sorry". And. Then took our money and ticket, Then seemed like she was waiting for us to give her more than the two dollars that was left for change. what kind of customer service is that? No napkins?! Not even one until way after our food arrived and that was only cause we asked. service suxxx food was not good or cooked the way we ordered and the waitstaff didn't even seem concerned if we were enjoying our visit. read more

My friend and I wanted a hot meal. So he picked This place to eat. We sat down finished our meals so we get up and he paid for our ticket. We were already out the door half way to the car when our waitress asked did you leave the tip at table he had said no. I have 3 dollars in my purse so I give it to her. I told her all I have is that so she took it and went inside. My friend is homeless he works but doesn't make enough money to afford a home. I am not working right now because of some issues so that was all I had. The reason I wanted to write a review is because sometimes people want to have a good meal we get tired of eating sandwiches the cheap dollar menu and want to have something a little more healthy. So many people are living in their cars not everyone has the money to tip. Not having no where to cook so eating out is the only thing we can do. Not everyone has that luxury to have a home cooked meal. We have never experienced this before. But she got her tip. read more

Awful!!!!! We waited 45 minutes to get a sandwich and the manager told us that our food was coming right out but when we received it all sandwiches were cold. Ask the waitress for a box 3 times so I could take my sandwich home heated up and then eat it and still never got a box. And when I went to pay they took the sandwich off my bill but still charged me for the drink. Unbelievable! read more

So I won't lie. I'm a bit of a restaurant snob. Not a snob in general, but I prefer going to restaurants that are conducive to having a nice cocktail or two along with a great meal. When my kids chose Denny's I won't lie. I was a bit disappointed but agreed to go along for our Saturday night dining out experience. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the house salad with added grilled chicken. My two kids each got some of their custom pancakes (one had cinnamon roll and the other had chocolate chip). They LOVED their pancakes (and sides) and I LOVED my salad. It was huge and had LOTS of chicken and for an amazing price (similar to a fast-food salad, but much better). The servers were super nice, the restaurant was very clean and they appeared to be a very safe place to dine while going through all this covid nonsense (if you are worried about that). This has become my signature spot, as well as my family members', solely because of the outstanding customer service that the staff of waitresses and hostesses never fail to provide. Young lady explained to us that the guy, "Louis" was in training (but she was taking the order). Crepes were runny,not cooked all the way; they forgot our orange juice, no refills offered on coffee. They forgot to add 2 sausage links to my husband's grand slam , so Louis came with small plate later with 2 of them and one rolled off plate he was carrying to us and pretended he didn't see the second on the floor and he quickly gave my husband just the one. Another waitress walking by saw the link on the floor and picked it up & asked my husband if he wanted another but by this time we were already fed up. Took forever to find our waiter/waitress to get our ticket. They never once came back around to check if we needed anything. The waitress we had last time, a young black woman was better at treating her customers than these 2 goofs, but didn't see her there. League City is more with it on customer service and cleanliness. This place in TC has just gone down hill. Don't plan on returning.Thank you Mr Curtis (General Mgr) for trying to get that place in order, but unfortunately with the staff they have there now I don't see any hope. It was a decent breakfast experience...not too bad. We were seated immediately on a Sunday around noon which is pretty great. Our waitress was attentive and the order was correct. She gave us the wrong ticket, but she realized the error in less than two minutes. They cleaned tables as soon as patrons left which I thought was outstanding. read more

Yes, Denny's has lost a star today. They have changed both their French toast and their bacon. The French toast was a neutral change, but the bacon was for the worse. These tiny slivers of pork just don't cut it. They put a man to mind of turkey fake-con strait from the microwave. It is, indeed, a sad day for mankind. read more

This Denny's impressed! Dinning area was clean, hostess was engaging and unassuming, waitress was attentive, food was excellent. The Bourbon Burger was seasoned, plated and cooked to perfection, as was the Double Cheeseburger. The house coffee was robust and the vanilla shake was creamy and tasteful. I have dined at five star restaurants and not received the value I received at this meal. Our waitress, Angela, was, quite possibly, the best waitress I've ever had, anywhere. From her appropriate communication and ballet-like service, to her precise delivery of requested food, drink and condiments - all from memory - she made this an exceptional dining experience. Came during rush hour and place was busy and crowded. Staff still maintained a pleasant attitude. Wait time was estimated at 10 minutes, but took 6. Placed an order for the All American Slam with orange juice Meal took a while to come out (15 minutes), but chalked it up on the crowd. Once received, it was warm and filling. After ordering and the food came out the biggest wood roach climbed onto the table. Completely grossed out we immediately left. Can't believe this happened. Came in for breakfast on a Monday, not their busiest time. Waited 45 minutes to get my food after being seated, and when it came it was cold. I complained to the waitress and she just said sorry. I left to go pay the $25 for two breakfasts and when they asked how it was, I told them COLD. They too just said sorry, and did I want to leave a tip! Went to Denny's after a movie on Christmas. I had been there maybe one hundred times before. Large crowd of people waiting... They finally announced which line to get in the put your name on the list for seating, paying, or pick up orders. The lady and her son in front of me were Black... No list for them... The Black hostess immediately seated them. While she was off with them the White Manager took my name and put me on the list. One hour later the Black Hostess announced they were running out of food and although many tables were available no one would be seated until the kitchen caught up and they could see if there was any food left. I walked up and spoke to her as to why people were being seated that came in after me... She said my name had been erased or someone else had used my name...I was never further than 15 feet from the desk.. That was a lie. Ten minutes later we left as no one was being seated. This Denny's was clean and the wait staff was great but the food was bad. When I say bad I mean my mom got maybe a table spoon of potatoes, really! Her eggs she ordered over hard they were over easy. I ordered scrambled my eggs were brown they were so over cooked. And so little hash browns it was funny. We will never go back again. read more

came here around 9 pm with a friend, got seated pretty fast but the manager/cashier lady seemed like she was in a bad mood already. never got greeted by a waitress, just had some random one ask us what drink we wanted over the little kitchen divider. took us a minute to get those drinks, never got straws and turns out one of the cups had a crack in it so it got the table covered in water. asked a waitress after finally getting our order taken (a good 10 mins later!) if we could have some straws, she said yes and returned with two cheap bendy straws in her bare hands. she stuck them right in our drinks without even making sure that was fine with us. that cannot be sanitary! and once our food came out it was a good 20 minutes later and i ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes or whatever and it was completely different from the menu, the icing was cold and they put big globs of whipped cream on the sides so the actual pancakes were soggy. not to mention the eggs were cold, and the bacon & hashrowns were barely cooked. never got a ticket so we had to go to the front and it took so long for the manager to get up off her butt sitting on her phone to walk over and check us out. also with an attitude :) safe to say im not going to this dennys again atleast not at night read more

This experience was horrible!!! We just left there very unsatisfied. The food was good, but the service was awful. Now, the cook walked out, and a server didn't show up, so they were busy. I work in the service industry so I completely understand. HOWEVER. The attitudes of the servers were down right rude. Our food took forever, appetizer took at least 20 minutes. Our server Jennifer, was talking down to us as if we were children. She never once apologized for the food taking forever. She wasn't apologetic about anything actually. When we went to pay our bill, Margaret gave us an attitude because we asked to split the check. She complained the entire time she was checking us out,(that's how I knew about the workers walking out/not showing up) rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing. We had told her beforehand that we would want 3 separate checks for us. When we arrived we were greeted at the door and sat immediately by laticia "letty". She was also our server. She took our drink order and then left. When she brought the drinks back we tried to place the appetizer order but she just walked away. So i called out "ma'am" to get her to come back and she told me to wait she'd be back later.. i only wanted to order one thing. She did keep her promise by coming back, 4 to 5 minutes later. So we placed our appetizer order (full order of nachos) and she walked away again... we were ready to also place the food order at the same time. But was not given the opportunity. When she finally came back with out appetizer, which was a HALF order of nachos instead of the FULL that was ordered, to top that off our drinks had been empty for about 5 minutes. She apologized for the appetizer being wrong and offered to bring another half order out, which we were not ok with because by the time the second half order was received our regular food order should be coming out defeating the purpose of an appetizer. So again she leaves returning in around 10 minutes with our regular food order. The food itself was not bad however again there was an error. One of the orders of eggs wad severely under cooked. Understandable as this does happen, however by the time she corrected the mistake we had already finished eating everything else. Also in waiting for the mistake to be corrected the table in front of us had time to be set place their order and receive their food. At this point she brings out a bill and again leaves. $30 for probably the worst customer service experience we have had at denny's and overall just disappointing. I also forgot to mention that upon being sat we had to ask to have the table cleaned off, which appeared to be norm today because the 2 sets of customers who sat down next to us had to have theirs cleaned as well. When we left finally, the manager, Claudia, apologized and took off 9 dollars from our ticket. Which I guess anything is better than nothing. I am in customer service and i KNOW surveys are very important. (I get bonused off of mine) and to be quite honest I hate to give a bad survey ever. But I do believe you should know the truth about the service we received today, which was absolutely horrible. We do plan on coming back to denny's but we will never sit in "letty's" section again. read more

where do i begin,last week i visited this denny's in league city as i always do ,definitely beats the one in texascity.i noticed a few new employees.what caught my attention was a short fat waitress bulling a new employee,who i am assuming she was new as i have never seen her before.i sat waiting for my waitress to bring me some cream for my coffee,if i remember rite my waitresse's name was either kristi or christine. after waiting 10 mins or so i got up and walked up to the waitresse's entrance and asked the new employee if she would get me some creamer for my coffee,she gladly said yes mam.as i walked off i heard the girl that should have been the one to bring it to me as she was my waitress.any way she said to the new employee if your going to use my stuff fill it back up and this woman replied to her the customer asked for cream and i got her some, so please leave me alone.my waitress replied by saying we can handle this outside.wow i didn't see the big deal in the new employee assisting me . my waitress acted like it was her personal creamer.i don't understand why this has to go on in the work place. denny's what has happened to your businesses , i remember years ago seeing pleasant women working for you . now all you see are rude young girls.i will continue to visit this store but i will refuse to have the fat one wait on me.she as well as another young girl there seem so ghetto and for the way they talk , should learn some manners in allowing the guests to hear what filth the have to say. sincerely, disguisted with this visit read more
