It's a normal Denny's, I'm not sure what some of these people are expecting in the reviews. The food was good and the service was good for only 2 waitresses. This particular Denny's location is just off of Interstate 95 in Melbourne, Florida. The staff is friendly enough and the ambiance and food is what you would expect to find at a Denny's. I would recommend going for breakfast over any other meal, though I have spent more than a few late nights ending up at a Denny's after a night out on the town. Denny's tries to capture the nostalgia of an old-school diner and for the most part they capture the feel of an old-school diner. Diners are a great part of the culinary landscape and truly are a great representation of pure Americana. The food at Denny's is usually consistent and this one was what I expected from a Denny's. I usually prefer an independent restaurant, but a client asked yo meet here, so this was the place we met. Overall, this is a decent enough Denny's. read more

Went here this morning with my fiancé to get breakfast. Walked into the restaurant and was immediately sat down in a booth. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, more than half the tables were empty and most were still dirty/not wiped down. Table was wiped clean for us, but the seats themselves had glitter and old food all over it. They had what looked like 6-7 people working the floor and 3 in the kitchen cooking. Took over 45 minutes for us to receive chicken tenders and a Grand Slamwich. Tenders were hard & dry as if it sat under the heat lamp too long. Asked for honey mustard to go with it; the small condiment container was barely filled half way with the sauce so we had to ask for another one. The coffee was barely warm, cup was still cold to the touch. The maple spice spread on the Grand Slamwich either had no flavor or it wasn't put on the sandwich. The eggs on it were overcooked, flat, and tasted a bit burnt. Was a very bland sandwich besides the bit of seasoning that was in the sausage. The hasbrowns that came with it were decent. Dining room was filthy & the bathroom smelled like a truck stop restroom. Better training needs to be done when it comes to the service and cleanliness at this Denny's. I feel bad for the people who get sat next to those bathroom doors, that smell would ruin my whole meal instantly. read more

Well where do I start, there are 5 tables occupied and two waitresses. Waiting no 10 minutes still have not been waited on. Bus boy is clearing a table one glass at a time. 3.5 I can honestly say the staff does pretty well for always being understaffed. The servers are friendly and seem to be over worked. The food does take a while to come out & we know this so we order an appetizer. Our food is always hot & correct. The restaurant seems clean. read more

Waited a very long time once seated, no waitress/waiter ever showed up to even bring us water much less take our order. It was not even busy at 1 p.m. (only about 3 other tables). Manager didn't seemed to even care. Bathroom stunk bad. We were stopping for the night after a long day of travel. Denny's was conveniently across the road from our hotel. It was late, around 7:45, and there were only a few customers, so we figured we'd get served quickly. Turned out there was only one server and one cook. We had a lengthy wait to place our order, and the server was on her cell phone for a bit. It took about 45 minutes to get our meal. My husband got eggs and sausage. His eggs were supposed to be over medium and were way overcooked. I ordered a chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich. The chicken was literally raw in the center. Luckily, the sandwich was cut in half, so I saw it before biting into it. All the cook said was "oops ". When I got the replacement, there was no ranch dressing. After a long day of travel, I was in no mood to argue. We ate because we were hungry. I normally don't give a review if the food and/or service was subpar, but this was ridiculous. read more

If I could put negative stars I definitely would. This place is a joke in addition to that manager of theirs who likes to hang up on customers. My husband walked in there with money in his hand and his own bottle. He wanted to get water for tea. He told them he would take it in a to go cup but the incompetent employee straight up denied him and said no we can't do that. He's like well I'm buying it in a cup- why can't they sell it? After trying to get the point to this thick brained person that he is PURCHASING a cup of tea without the tea bag...a manger interjected and quietly just gave the cup to him and took $1.00 from him. So...there is 100% proof that the first employee should not have acted that way. When he told me of this situation, I contacted them right away. The manager answered the call. She explained herself away but honestly, the incompetence is just unnecessary. People should not be so stupid as to deny a paying customer something. I started thinking it was discrimination because he has a Russian accent and it's like the employee wanted to give him a hard time from the beginning with her "no we can't do that". Do what?? He was buying a cup of water!! Elementary little things. Was she worried she wouldn't get a tip? Or just being nasty? Anyway..speaking to the manager..I asked her for the employees name because I told her I would leave a review..she asked me to forget about this. Haha. I said I don't think so and guess what?? So okay....I would say stay frosty here. I mean alert because the service is meh, the food is meh to WTH and again the attitudes from them is...mmmm...well indifferent in a word. Place was pretty empty at 11:15pm or so. That means food shouldn't be delayed, should be fresh, hot and cooked right the first time. Full disclosure: no special orders, this not that....straight menu as it comes. Ordered the Grand Slam slugger (raw eggs) and burger with bacon avaco.....you know this place isn't worth the effort of a detailed review. Eat there at your own risk. The odds are greater than 50/50 that your food will be messed up, you'll have a waitress that doesn't care, and that you'll leave feeling more annoyed than when you arrive there. read more

We arrived in town with two dogs This Denny was outside our hotel room. Everyone was so friendly and nice, all of our food needs were met in a friendly and nice way. They were scrambling over themselves to please us, I haven't seen this in a long time, maybe society is coming back to normal. We also return to dinner, they were friendly but not like this morning, Darlene was accomplent and nice. She was having a discussion with the manager which wasn't too good. I walked in with my son at 11:55 am today, 3/18/2021. They were a little busier than I normally see them but to say they were "slammed" would be an exaggeration. I should have known something was off when I went into the disgustingly filthy ladies room. The fact that I didn't leave immediately after seeing that is on me, I admit. It took the waitress 10 minutes to come to our table in order to take our order. Another 5 to just bring us our drinks. We waited over 1/2 an hour, after we ordered, to actually get our food which consisted of a burger & onion rings for my son & eggs & bacon for me. Not exactly something that takes a gourmet chef to make. We watched the chef put it on the counter. It sat there for 6 minutes before she brought it to us. She denied that it had taken that long, we had timed it from the moment we saw it placed. In that time people that had been seated after us had been served. The food was ice cold. It was literally inedible. Walked out without taking a bite. They used to be amazing. Not anymore. Unless you want to waste your time waiting and then be served food that you cannot eat please avoid it at all costs. read more

The server Theresa would pick up our glasses from the top of the glasses where u sip from, touched everyone's glasses the same time, dropped off all the plates from one side of the table with a part of 7, had to get the butter and napkins my damn self. I recently picked up an order that I had placed on grub hub. I was making sure I had the white gravy that I wanted. I was informed RUDELY that it wasn't requested then when I said he meant to she just looked at me all annoyed. I then said can I have it and she said well ARE YOU GONNA PAY FOR IT? I said Of course as I looked at her oddly so she huffed off and proceeded to get it. She then returned and said here don't worry about it. I told my husband after I got back with order since it bothered me and when he called to speak with the manager they proceeded to hang up and then not answer. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I feel like she assumed I was the grub hub driver by the way she addressed me but is that how you treat the poor grub hub drivers?
