I came in the late morning and The service was horrendous! The servers were more interested in having a conversation with each other and the cook rather than helping and taking customers. The manger was not helpful and did not care as well! The staff and management need to be retrained and taught manners and customer service skills. My server "Diana" was un-apologetic, rude and unprofessional. She seemed like she did not care. Some people are not built for customer service and she definitely is not. Maybe the lack of management , or training but I do not know how this server is still employed. I am truly disgusted and disappointed. Dennys, train and hire better employees, do better! I like this Denny's. Its in a nice busy location of Northridge across the street from Ralphs and a few other places. No, obviously this is a chain restaurant so don't think you're going to something fancy. This place is extremely clean. The food always comes out nice and hot. I've never had an issue with anything unsanitary here and I've been coming here for about three years. Overall this place does look very clean . But the reason I'm really writing this with you is because I had such a good experience tonight with Tracy. She was on it she was hustling and she moved to the sense of urgency. We have really miss this place for months Ricardo, and Velma, and everyone else that works has been nothing but friendly it was like seeing family that we hadn't seen for a while. The meatloaf dinner, the Santa Fe skillet, and of course the classic cheeseburger our favorites amongst us you can see the stuffing our faces. Horrible unprofessional staff. They made my family wait for 20 minutes because they were "cleaning tables". Hostess and manager passed us several times, when we were only people waiting, looked directly at us and proceeded to completely ignore us. Visited Denny's for the first time since quarantine. Face coverings are still required upon entering, just take them off when you eat. The staff are very well equipped with their own face coverings and face shields as well. All condiments now come pre-packed (salt and pepper, syrups, butter, ketchup, etc) and nothing remains on the table. The menus are disposable now as well. I'm assuming to fit on one sheet, they had to cut down on the menu a bit certain things were missing although I'm pretty sure if you asked for something specific they'd still make it for you. Our server was very sweet, even staying past her shift to give us our food because the guy left to cover her tables did not check on us once. She said she couldn't help but stare on our food not getting taken to our table when they were just waiting by the kitchen ready to serve. Our food was delicious as usual, the french toast and pancakes both delectably fluffy and sweet. The eggs were cooked just how we asked. I wish the hash browns were cooked a little longer, I found they weren't as crispy as usual but regardless I ate it all up! My boyfriend loved his country-fried steak as well. My best experience at this Denny's is their delivery. I'm about two miles away and I find the food just as good as if I was eating in. Food was fresh, warm, prompt and tasty. Ordering was easy with option from what store food can be delivered from. They have a nice menu that includes a kids section. Tried eating in and as many places the wait time and the tight seating is always a challenge. Glad I picked the closest, it definitely paid off. read more

They were very attentive to me and made me feel very welcomed. I am very exhausted from working a night shift and, they just welcomed me with such an uplifting energy and although I'm very tired Tracy had the most gracious attitude and high amount of patience with me; she serves with love. The place was packed on a Sunday morning. We were greeted and seated immediately. The woman seating and serving us was very nice, accommodating and efficient. Tables were clean. We had Denny's breakfast deal that consists of two eggs, two pancakes and a choice of meat or hash browns. The only issue we had was the pancakes that were conspicuously salty. Not the usual amount of salt that we add to pancakes! Way more than usual! Other than that, all went well. read more

Newly reopened. Renovations are nice and welcoming. They have diner specials at amazing prices. I got the ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and toast for $8.99 or $8.49. Worst service in The Valley, took the servers 45 min to even approach the table. Then another 10 to bring water. I realize that they are probably short staff but they should At least tell customers about the wait. To top it off, a couple come in 40 Minutes after us and they get their order taken before us. I was out in the valley last week and ended up at this Denny's Wednesday afternoon. My waiter was very nice and helped me order something that would be safe for my dietary needs. I found myself needing to use the bus to get back home and am NOT familiar with the bus system, at all. The manager on duty helped me soooooo much! I live pretty far away from that location and the ride home was going to require a few transfers. The manager spent his time explaining it to me and then went in the back and printed out a map with each of the stops and the next bus I would need to take. If you're familiar with the bus system in L.A. this might be easy for you, but I am not and I would have had a very hard time getting home. This was so incredibly kind and helpful of the manager. Denny's is lucky to have him, I think! Meanwhile, back to my order, it was also very tasty. The only thing on the menu that I could have made as a vegan option. This Denny's location is HORRIBLE. Which is a shame since it's close to my house. No matter why time you go it sucks. Breakfast time the eggs are so burnt and hard and the pancakes are skittle over done. Going in the afternoon is hell. Every time we come here afternoon the waiters take forever to come back to take your order after drinks. Idk why it's completely empty. The cooks on the night shift are worse than the day shift. I ordered a sampler and had all my mozzarella sticks EXPLODE all the cheese leaked out and they were burnt. It took me 12 min I KID YOU NOT to send it back because the waiter didn't ever come to check on us. When I mentioned it he was upset and took it back to the kitchen saying I was a "picky lady" in Spanish. I speak Spanish so jokes on him. Passing by the city we stooped at a dennys with the whole fam. There was a lot of parking and even had parking towards the back. It was very rainy and i liked that as soon as you walked in there was a bucket for umbrellas. The greeting was a little to rude. Did not feel welcomed. The man asked how big was our party and told us to take out out ID's and covid cards. (Which i have no problem presenting) however we where 2 adults and 4 kids. He checked our covid cards and read them all laud. Also asked about kids covid card and as it was posted by the door i told him that they are too young and he made a comment and said. We have a two year old child, so we were kindly picky and kept asking for things, like utensils, napkins, refills, etc. and every time we asked, he never made a face. Had the tradional Breakfast Slam. Pancakes and scrambled eggs were good. Hash browns were average, probably should have requested onIons for those. The bacon and sausge were not properly cooked, especially the bacon. I requested bacon substitute and the quality of the meat was poor (see 2nd photo). I stopped here for late night food while travelling about town. Parking was not a big issue, as it was late at night, and the shopping plaza had plenty of spaces. The place was somewhat busy when I walked in, but I didn't have to wait for a table. Once I was seated, I ordered my favorite breakfast plate from Denny's, and sipped on my coffee while I caught up on work correspondence. I was glad to see that they made my 9-grain pancakes right. As funny as it sounds, not all Denny's locations get it right, and some straight out screw up the order. But not this place. The staff here was very friendly, and they checked up on my consistently. They even got me an iced tea to go. Although the area is so-so, this Denny's locations is worth the stop. read more
