I visited this location early Thursday morning and my waiter was the best, Art. Art's customer service was excellent. I will definitely visit this location more often because of the excellent customer service he provided me and my boyfriend. The food industry needs more people like him. He was really kind and also he was on it, meaning all of our request he would do them quick. He got in are food order quick & also our food came out fast. Easter Sunday my family and friends went to Denny's restaurant in Northridge. We were seated in a back room where it seemed like we were forgotten. Still we tried to make the best of it , after ordering 3 of our orders were either missing food or not brought to the table. We had to ask for refills . Terrible experience, I did give 2 star rating only because the manager did credit us but we should have never got to the point of having to call on a manager. Very disappointing. Went to this location today with a party of 3 and had terrible service from server Raul. This review is not really about the food because that was great but this server is awful. He was not friendly at all, didn't check in on us, when we asked for things wouldn't acknowledge us or even look us in the eye. It was like he hated having to serve us. My party didn't ask for anything extra and we said thank you each time we were very polite. We went here after the other one in Northridge was closed for renovations. There was literally one waitress and one manager. The busboys and girls were taking orders. No greeting when arrived. No refills for drinks until we stood up to find our person and asked them. Waited an hour for our food. Then the food came out and it was wrong. The eggs were black as if they were cooked on a dirty pan, our order came in six separate drop offs so we had to wait until it all came until we could actually eat. We had to ask for two more of our items since they were wrong or missing. We will not be coming here again and I do not recommend others come here either. read more

Pretty busy but still only had to wait 10 min or so for 2 of us because they're so quick! I like this location specifically because it's 2 minutes from me and it's generally a fast wait time to be seated and to get your food. Plus they seem to have a solid staff that work they're asses off and provide quality customer service. I will do my best to make this short and simple. This location is AWFUL. The Manager KUMAR is AWFUL. Even though you may have a coupon that says "show this coupon to be honored". I been coming here to eat at least once a week for the last year. Since I am single and don't know how to cook and don't want to know (I am working 70-90 hrs a week) I need a place that can provide more then fast food on a constant basis with good quality and reasonable price. Lets just say that at this point when I come in, even before I get to my table my coffee is ready and on the table. You ever heard of a dennys that takes less then 15 minutes to prepare food? The average waiting time here is 2 mins.The have reasonable wireless connection. The food quality is satisfying. The even crack jokes here. After my buddies and I finished up our Pathfinder game, we hung outside the Game Ogre for our usual thirty to forty minutes chatting and planning for the next few meetings. Suddenly, my tummy rumbled. "Suddenly I'm hungry." I said. "I'm kinda hungry too." Said Rey. "I'm game, where should we go?" Mike asked. "What's open at 11:30 on a Wednesday night?" Chimed in Andrew. "Denny's is right over there?" Rey answered. "Meh?" "Meh." And so we all piled into cars and drove down the street to Denny's. We entered, and were pretty unenthusiastically led to a table. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't empty. Several other tables were occupied by groups of people chatting about things. Our lackadaisical waiter asked us for drink orders, and then walked off to get them for our six person table consulted the menus. After deciding what we wanted, some of us attempted to use our devices to communicate with the wi-fi bubble, but instantly failed as there wasn't one present. Waiter returned with our beverages, handed them out to us, and spiritlessly took our orders. I went for a pair of sides, rather than a full on giant thing. I wasn't super duper hungry after all. I opted for a hobbit sausage and some pancake puppies. My friends all ordered their assorted appetizers and meals. After another few minutes of discussing character ideas, rules, and complaining about gamers not present, our food began to arrive. Our discussions quieted and the sounds of eating commenced. The food was about as good as I've come to expect from Denny's. Falling squarely in between "Magically stellar" and "Grossest thing I ever ate." It was ok. After an hour or so, we were done with our food, and even our conversation had slowed to a crawl. It was nearly one in the morning, and we were obviously winding down. We decided we were done, and it was time to go home. We took care of our individual bills at the front register, and finally returned to the parking lot. Thank you Denny's. Not happy with the food or service here. I love diners and have eaten in many during my long life. But I won't try this one again. It was after 9pm on Friday night two days ago. The place wasn't full. We had just gotten checked in to our hotel and needed a late night meal. Too bad we chose one of the worst diners around. Our athlete daughter chose eggs with steak, but there was so much msg on the steak that it was inedible. I tried the tri tip salad. Lots of limp undelicious bagged lettuce blend, a small amount of okay cut up steak, awful balsamic dressing. Mom ordered an English muffin with butter on the side. It arrived 10 minutes later than the other food, but was burnt and cold. So back it went. It re-arrived fifteen long minutes later, burnt again but slightly warmer. The cost of the barely edible and otherwise inedible food was shockingly high. Turns out tomato juice and milk are each very expensive here. Here are some things you should know about Denny's on Tampa. Everytime I come on a weekend night to get some studying done, 500 high school kids bombard the place after their homecoming dance. When there aren't any rowdy teenagers around, the noise from the kitchen resonates into the entire diner that I can never hear myself think. Always, I mean always, get bottled water here. The tap water is ridiculously disgusting. I mean unhealthy tap water kind of disgusting. Even when you order tea, be careful. My body is extremely sensitive to tap water, and at Denny's, it reacts as though I'm drinking unfiltered sewer water. Save yourself the trouble and order a soda or juice. The staff is super friendly. Which makes leaves me no choice but to leave 2 stars, but I honestly would never come here for anything other than their heartland scramble omelets. End of story. read more

Are you kidding me? I always go to this Denny's location after work. I usually order to go, and then go home to eat. I also always tip on my Togo orders because contrary to what people might think, someone actually takes the time to pack your stuff. The tip is not the same as if you're dining in, but nonetheless every little bit helps. Tonight, I actually dined in here for the first time with Bae. It started out great. We were greeted, and seated. The waiter took our order, no problems. I had Minute Maid OJ, soup, and a Philly Cheesesteak omelette with redskin potatoes only. No taste, no hash browns. A few minutes later, he came back and said they had no OJ, and if I wanted anything else. I was ok, with just water. No problem so far. The problems begins when I think the shift manager brought me my omelette with my redskin potatoes. It was soaking in oil. I always get this because it's the healthier substitute. I pointed this out to him, and he said "do you want us to wipe them with paper towels?" Omg to the xyz! Which restaurant or dining establishment wipes their oily potatoes with paper napkins! I said, I've had it here before, and it's not suppose to be oily. He then says, "that's how we do it here." I then calmly said, I don't want this dish anymore, I want to send this back. I'll just have the soup. After that, we had no service. Regardless, I still tipped for Bae's food. Not mine. How rude! How did you get your manager position? How can you serve a healthier choice drenched in oil! Never coming back to this location! I have a gripe. I've been coming here for a few months now, sitting in a certain booth close to a power outlet, plugging in my lap top and finding a peaceful zen amongst pancakes and grand slams. I've never been told there was a minimum order just to sit. Tonight, as I sit here this very second, I've been informed twice that I need to spend a minimum of $7 to sit here and plug in. I guess it makes sense, but there is no way my laptop consumes enough to justify that. I have a 7 hour battery anyway, so I'm not plugged in. I've seen huge parties of old women playing cards in the corner, study groups hanging out. Did they ruin it for me? Why advertise free wifi if I can't sit with a cup of coffee at off-peak hours? I usually tip 150% on my coffee anyway, but this is just sad... I think I'll find another place to go and am open to suggestions. read more

First I want to say that I enjoy Dennys breakfast and that's why my friend and I decided to go to this one after our hike yesterday. It's just too bad we had to experience.this one. When we got there there was a 30 min wait. We waited, no big deal. When they finally sat us down our waiter came and we told him we wanted to use the 20% off build your own skillet deal we saw on Fb. Mine said I could just show it to them and like the offer and she had a print out of hers. The waiter said I had to have a print out. We asked to speak to the manager Kumar who basically told us that even though it said that in the ad they will not honor it. I attempted to show him the code on my phone but he said they will not accept it. I repeated, "so you are not doing what the ad says"? and he said, "no." I guess he has never heard the term FALSE ADVERTISING or better yet, THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Believe me, I don't go around trying to get over on Dennys. It's a breakfast for Christ sake. Now lets talk about the food. I asked for 2 eggs over medium. Mine we're over easy. Hey when the white part is runny too that's not good to me. I told them and they did bring out 2 more eggs. Those too we're over easy. Ya I know how hard it is to cook an over medium egg and I know that people go to school for years to learn the difference between over easy, over medium and soft vs hard boiled eggs. That was sarcasm. I could cook eggs from age 5. Any latch key kid can do that. Get it together! Last but not least, the BATHROOM WAS DISGUSTING! Hey it's called a mop and a broom. There was trash all over the floor. All of these things tell me this, Kumar doesn't care about his customers or his job. They burn EVERYTHING at this Denny's. Went there late at night because it was the only place open- why else would anyone go to a Denny's, really?- and some friends and I had breakfast. My party got here before me because I had an appt before joining them. Once I arrived, I was ignored by 3 different employees to either take my order or get the waiter who could take my order. By the time someone came to me, I had decided to just have leftovers. Yes, that's what it came to. The food was fine, same ol' Denny's. Not horrible, but nothing to write home about. I did eat cold leftovers, so you can take that into consideration. The employees look absolutely miserable. Not one smile to greet or enthusiasm whatsoever. Good as far as Denny's go but I kind of felt like I stepped into the twilight zone, this particular night that I was here. No one was immediately available to help seat us but that wasn't too bad. They were still very friendly. We saw what looked alot of interesting characters eating at this location plus a poker game. I thought that was really cool. I think I want to say ok location because they were a little understaffed, the seats a little dirty and the lights seemed to be dimmer. The food came out tasting great though so no complaints there. I went to Denny's by my self at 4 in the morning. Was starving. There was literally nooooo customers. I got seated by the curly haired waiter who was serving by herself last night.
