I haven't been to a Denny's in over 5 years, now I remember why. Friendly staff, clean tables, utensils and menu couldn't distract me from the amount of butter/oil in my eggs and hash browns. It could be a matter of taste but there was so much butter, everything slid of the plate and tasted too buttery. I was unable to finish my meal. Went to a late night dinner and got the lasagna and chicken fried steak and they told us those were "excellent" choices.we also got there mozzarella sticks, and there onion rings. Onion rings were 2/5, mozzarella sticks, were clearly frozen and came from a box, after we hade the onion rings and mozzarella sticks as our appetizers they then brought are lasagna and chicken Fried steak, the lasagna tasted like it has been frozen for 5weeks and had no flavor and made me sick, the chicken fried steak was also flavorless,undercooked, and the gravy wasn't even prepared right(super thin and clumpy) the only good thing that we have to say about this place is the service was excellent and the milkshakes were alright.I do not recommend! read more

Not one good thing to say....Waited 15 minutes for a table. Once we ordered it took us 25 minutes to get our food. When food arrived at the table it was cold:( We advised manager and server of our experience and they just kind of shrugged their shoulders and said "sorry". I love Denny's, which is the only reason this location gets two stars. I had to get the hostess attention, and after being seated it took , ten minutes for an order... with only one other table in the whole restaurant. The waiter was very confused about the menu. Ten minutes after ordering I was told that they were out of what I ordered because of the table next to me, the only other table, which had ordered before I sat down. I always expect one thing to go wrong like missing toppings for pancakes. Today the bacon is so burnt it matches the to go box. Hash browns were raw under the very top layer. Pancakes looked like they sat out for a while despite picking up on time. Most disappointing order by far. At least the eggs were cooked, although oily, and the FOH staff was nice. Very disappointed they took away the gluten free English muffin option. There's little choices out there and we've traveled all over the country. Denny's was the one place I knew I'd enjoy eating a full breakfast and our hometown Denny's doesn't even offer it. read more

We are regulars at Denny's (specifically the one on Oro Valley) but we stopped going about 6 or 7 months ago after a horrible experience with a waitress (Stephanie) who was not only rude but also careless with her job so we just stopped going in until today when we decided to try again and the difference was extremely notorious! Allie was attentive and efficient, brought all our food fast, fresh, and warm, so different than the last time. My husband, grandson and myself went for dinner at our Denny's in Oro Valley last night after seeing a movie at the nearby theater. There were quite a few tables occupied. Jeannette was the manager and looked to be keeping the place running smoothly! I enjoyed our chat as we paid our bill. Have dined at Denny's quite a few times . ( mostly Ina Rd / Interstate and always great ) This evening we ate dinner at the Oracle Rd location being at the Car Show in the parking lot . Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. When it was served to me I saw the Veggies and the Chicken Fried Steak with what looked like a puddle of thin gravy next to it . I asked my waiter where the mashed potatoes were ? He pointed at what I thought was the puddle of gravy . I scooped it up with a fork and they dropped down like watered down gravy . The waiter did apologize and said that it did look bad but that was their number 1 complaint from customers . And asked me if I wanted the check ???? Are you kidding me ??? He then just walked off . At the cash register when the lady asked me how my food was , I explained the situation . She again said that most people do complain about their mashed potatoes , She did offer me a small discount . But why haven't they addressed the problem ??? Guessing mashed potatoes saturated with water stretches the amount on their end ??? Absolutely horrific . Never ever again . Way too many eateries to choose from to have someone not care about an obvious big issue . This rating should be a Minus 10 star !! read more

We go for breakfast every Sunday and Sierra is beyond great as our waitress. She even remembers what we generally order. She's the BEST!

Denny's just knocks it out of the park for breakfast. And Kevin could be a waiter at a 5-star restaurant....He's the best.

Never had an issue with our service or food and they also offer outside dining available as well. Love their chocolate chip pancakes with bananas on top. I always ask for extra whip cream. Let me first say, that I appreciate all the servers that are working hard during this very long and stressful pandemic. I hate doing this, because I love Denny's! Our server had a very off day, and we tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and another chance but I think she gave up before we did! First, she forgot to put our food order in. (Table that sat after us got their food before us, and were leaving as we were finally served). She did apologize but when asked for sweetener, she forgot that too. Twice. (Then brought sugar) Once we got our food, that she claimed was being rushed... it was warm at best. Cold at worst. Oh, and we waited an additional 3min for silverware; after having to ask for it. Never once did she asked how was our food was or even come to the table at all so we couldn't even tell her the food was cold. When she finally came to drop off the check and we told her the eggs couldn't be eaten (not that she asked why they were still on the plate) she asked if we wanted them remade for a to-go order... umm. No thanks. I wasn't looking for a discount, but it would have been nice. Considering every turn this poor server made had mistakes. When we were asked at check out how was our meal, we were honest. Thought we would try the new dennys location on River road in Tucson az. Was surprised at 9am we were seated right away. I posted pics of some of the food and receipt . We both ordered the same lumberjack grand slam breakfast nothing grand about it. Both orders came out wrong to begin with so waitress took back to kitchen five minutes latter brings our food again drops it on table and leaves. The toast was not toasted, the ham and hash browns were cooked only on one side . Not to mention the rotten tasting burnt bacon. My wife tried to use the syrup and nothing would come out of container no matter how hard I shook it. Tried to find our waitress but never showed up until we had enough and we're ready to leave.that's when we were asked how was our food. Our response was the food was not very good. Was told so sorry. The bill was small for breakfast so we paid and left but will never return. read more

I've eaten at this particular location twice in the last 2 months and both times I was VERY pleased with the quality of food. Prices, like everywhere else were a bit high. Lunch at Denny's for 2 people never used to cost $40. I frequently try and find a good quality cheeseburger and was surprised that Denny's has come out on top...each and every time I try to find one elsewhere. And the cook at this particular location has it on lock. I was also very pleased to see wait staff still masked, especially with the recent resurgence in COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses.
