The wait staff is awesome, personnal and accomidating. But... the management needs to bring on more cook staff. Waited an hour and a half for 4 out of 5 dishes. My son ate off everybody elses plate, my wife never got syrup for her pan cakes and my sandwich came with a maple spread I specifically ask not to be on it. If it hadn't been for too few staff and a over tasked new waiter, we would have corrected the orders, but as we finished and needed to leave, my son's sandwich came out. So we got his food and my wife's pancakes to go. I had to wait almost 10 minutes just to pay my bill with other people linned up at the empty register until one of the hostesses saw us all waiting and cashed us out. When I went back to get my family, they still didn't have boxes. We did see what we assumed was a manager, but remarked to the one table they helped that they were manager and only helping because he's new, refering to our waiter. He was very polite and running all over the floor, helping the other 2 waitresses with their sections as well, but very apparent he was maybe a week on the job. It had been remarked the long waits are due to only one cook in the back on several visits prior. Like I've stated multiple times, we love the waiters and waitresses and don't blame the sole cook being so over worked, but this location need to hire additional help and greatly improve their managerial staff. Denny's - Great food but very slow service but worth the wait - American Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

Nasty!! Food was cold and took a very long time to get to our table. The waitress was miserable there was hair in my food. The woman serving us threw our silverware on our table and walked off. Then they lost power while we were still there. Before they lost power I had asked our server to refill my sons drink into a togo cup. She stood arguing with the manager then they lost power and she said their soda machines were no longer working. Horrible experience. I'll NEVER go back. Last time I was there they took $10 off of my debit card as a tip. Im DONE with them. read more

To start with the food was good. Ordered curbside service and expected curbside delivery upon arrival. Anyway called them to let them know we were there. NO answer. Went inside and informed them of the order. Said it was ready and they would assist in a minute. Well five minutes later they bagged the order that I observed had been on the counter since I walked in. I even called the restaurant while I was standing there and heard the phone ringing and nobody answered it. Bottom line - curbside service sucked at this place and the hired help appeared to care less about the customer. Lost my future buisness. read more

It's been awhile since I've been back to this Denny's on Mobile highway and surprisingly the service was great! I was expecting a long wait for my meal, but it was delivered promptly. Maybe its bc its Memorial Day weekend, but walked into the Dennys of Mobile hwy for breakfast and waited like 8 to 10 minutes for a server to come and take our order. I get it that black people are not that welcomed in certain places, but we still spend money like everyone else. My suggestion is goto Another Broken Egg, The Egg and I, or The Ruby Slipper. This location has always been a toss up, you just never know what your going to get! Before they even greeted me this morning, they said it will be at least a 45 minute cook time. Okay, it's breakfast time most places packed I'll wait. But really what's odd is that they weren't packed. Ok staff shortage maybe? Didn't look to me like that was the case either. The waitress we had - we had the previous time we were here. Last time I thought maybe she's having a bad day or cook was running late. It's definitely her. Probably time for her to hang up waitressing. Hope your not thirsty with your meal cause your only getting one drink. And apparently if you knew her or she liked you, you got your meal in 15 minutes today versus the hour+ some waited. And the manager wasn't much help either. One table complained and she basically just made excuses rather than address the situation. And if your worried about covid protocols or exception cleaning, you definitely want to pass. We waited an hour and a half AFTER we ordered our food. The waitress did not check on us or refill our drinks at all. When my boyfriend asked for an orange juice it took 30 minutes for her to come back with it. And when the food did come out some of it was under cooked. Extremely unsatisfied!!! When we asked to speak to a manager we were told they were "too busy". We will be sure to recommend to friends NOT to come to this shit show of a restaurant. read more

This is honestly the most disgusting restaurant I have ever been to. The service here was terrible and they had the worst attitude. I feel disgusting after eating here (after waiting an hour for our food). I saw one of workers cleaning the tables with the same wash cloth the whole time with no cleaning chemicals at all. I ordered a delivery, the food was cold. In the directions I stated I did not want cheese; sure enough there was cheese. The portions especially the hash browns were small. If Denny's continues to make deliveries they should invest in a means to keep food warm like Pizza places. The fees were much higher than other delivery services (DoorDash is free) In addition all other fees were higher. The delivery was quick; much quicker than any other delivery service. so i pulled up at 5am after driving 500 miles , i was going to eat breakfast but after coffee and cherry coke and water on my trip i really had to use the rest room . so after i used the facilities i proceeded to go up front to be seated, a very large black girl with a bad attitude looked at me with disgust and said " are you looking for somebody ", this made me furious !!!. so i left !!! no wonder they have a now hiring sign advertised up front , they sure need some good help that knows how to treat people with respect and not be racist and rude read more

I must say that Denny's has improved regarding the taste of their food. It was always good but the new "Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes" are fantastic, light, airy, not to sweet and just melts in your mouth with a buttery taste. I've ordered the pancakes twice this month at 2 different Dennys and both were excellent. The other day I tried their burger. My server Monique was great. She seemed like the only server in the restaurant because she was everywhere, warmly greeting people, bringing meals in a timely manner and continually checking on the customers. I didn't take pictures of the pancakes but did of the Double Cheese Burger which tasted like an old fashioned burger that my mom use to make. Well seasoned though I add black pepper to everything. This burger was good!!!! Also the seasoned fries were crisp, hot and perfectly seasoned. I'll probably start going to Denny's more often. read more

The worst breakfast I've had a chain restaurant! Waited 20 minutes to get sat when there was at least ten open tables. Server was the most incompetent person I've dealt with ordered a grand slam slugger hashbrowns covered in gravy over easy eggs sourdough toast DRY. 47 minutes later I received gravy no hashbrowns over hard eggs and toast with butter and to top it all off it was cold. After I asked where my hashbrowns were she said I didn't know if you wanted grits. I don't know what planet this delusion person was on when I ordered but grits was never even brought up as a option. 15% Military Discount! The atmosphere is very average, but the service is usually above average. The food has always. Even great for my family. My daughter has a milk allergy and the staff has always accommodated. We had a problem with service one time and the general manager was quick to make it right. I love the military discount. Eat the chips and your always left with a bunch of cheesy salsa which you can add to your eggs and hash browns. Parking can sometimes be a problem when they are crowded. read more

Went there at 3am last week with some co-workers after getting off work. They were not very busy. Waitress was pleasant and kept checking on us almost to the point that it was annoying. Not that big of a deal considering a lot of complaints are about being forgotten by the staff. I wasn't really hungry so I just got a order of hashbrowns with ham and cheese. Denny's = 24/7 junk food galore. They should have a motto ,"If you can name it we can fry it." Breakfast here is always a plus. Probably the best omelets in the morning for the price. Denny's pancakes are the best - bar none. Their staff's friendly and accommodating and they keep the place clean and tidy. My wife and I stopped by for breakfast to celebrate my birthday about a couple of weeks ago. I ordered my favorite T-Bone and egg breakfast item. With it came the buttermilk pancakes. The T-Bone had a loin section that was just as big as the rib. Great! Thank you Denny's. Lamentably, they used too much "meat tenderizer" on the steak and it was way too salty for me. I believe Denny's has a great idea offering an affordable, nice sized premium T-Bone steak. Please tell the chef or the apprentice who breaks out and prepares the meats for the following day: DO NOT overuse that salty meat tenderizer. It just ruins the meat and it is a shame to waste such a good cut. read more

Came in to order to go and it was busy since it was Christmas Day but 30 minutes later I asked for an ETA and was not given one. 15 minutes after that I asked the hostess to check and she said she would get back with me. She also didn't. So I told them I would give them 5 more minutes or get a refund. The hostess proceeded to tell me how they were the only thing open and how busy they were. Now if I ordered the food before a minimum of 30 people who were seated and before 2 other people ordered to go got their food first then something went wrong somewhere. The mgr came over and abruptly asked what the name was and she was "getting the order together". I believe somehow my order got lost in the shuffle. The food was horrible. Hash browns inedible and the Cobb salad that was suppose to come with grilled chicken did not have it. The wait was one thing but the lack of customer service is unacceptable as was the attitude.
