This is a wonderful location. I stopped in one morning after work to order breakfast to go and I was immediately greeted by the waitress/hostess who was clearly busy. The meal I wanted was no longer on the menu which I was kind of expecting so it wasn't a big deal at all. But she offered to have them make it for me anyway. Of which I was very grateful. What really struck me about this location is, as I sat and waited for my order and other guests came in and out, both ladies who were working knew everyone by name and could speak about their actual lives rather than just making small talk to be polite. It was that small town feel. Places with a ton of regulars like that usually earned them! So, thank you to the wonderful staff for making this Dennys such a pleasant place to be. So my son (he's 8 yrs old) and I freaquently come here to eat and do our "Male Bonding" talks. He has his regular Mac n' Cheese with French Fries and I'm all over the place with my Menu selections. Denny's never disappoints for that simple, "Americana" bite to eat. The Staff are always friendly and helpful and the Restaurant is always clean. Ordered on line. Waited about 20 min. After the pick up time to get the food. After getting home it was missing one of the meals and the French Toasts was way under cooked. We called back to see if they could at least get our money back for the hash browns we never got. The response of the manager was "I don't know how to do that" bottom line bad food and it seems that not even the managers know what she is doing. read more

Don't say it! I know it's Denny's. But it's never been this bad. It's 1:30 am and 4 tables, I've been waiting for 45min for my French toast. Best part when I walked in they gave me the menu and said to grab a table. I have to be nice since I just came from church mass. Just heard the cook mess up a egg order and call her self stupid. My dad says they should close early since they can't handle 4 tables, total of 8 people... funny! Good news our waitress went back to make our food. I was debating on writing this but eh why not. Not a bad place for the late late night dinner. Been there a few times and consistently good even at one, two, or three in the morning. Went to Denny's after attending a meeting, There was 12 people in our party. So why am I reviewing Denny's? We all know what Denny's is about. Well when you're with friends, this is definitely a great place to go! Food is good and satisfying. With Denny's people always seem to have a love-it or hate-it opinion of the chain. Tonight for our party of 12 we had our drinks were delivered in a reasonable amount of time given the amount of people in our party and my food was ordered and delivered in about 15-20 minutes with the exception of one order that got delivered after most of us had eaten. On a good note the manager comp'd that meal which was nice if her to do. We all had requested separate checks and there was no problem making that request. I would like to give our waitress a lot of recognition for working with our large party. Nothing special about this Denny's.... I have no complaints and the food was brought quick enough and the order was right so it's all good. FOOD: The food was hot and fresh out of the kitchen, it wasn't cold when it got to me, which made me happy. The quality of the food was decent too. There's not much to say about this place though, because the menus are all the same at all Denny's. The point being: a Denny's is a Denny's is a Denny's, but some are better than others. This one is decent. PRICE: Very reasonable. SERVICE: Excellent. AMBIANCE: Typical Denny's. CONCLUSION: We were seated immediately. Food was decent, everything that should have been hot was. Myself and my boyfriend have been coming to this location for 4 years. In some cases 3 times a day. Now we love to cook for ourselves. And we enjoy our home very much. We come here for the food, and the service. Its a funny thing, service. In order to recieve good or great service all you need, is to be friendly and positive and not a snobby asshole. Neat concept, right? The staff here knows us pretty well by now, especially management, and we have our favorite waitresses, Karin, Crystola that always treat us like family and enjoy a conversation with us. We've ventured into here at all times of the day and night. I think the only time I had a bit of a complaint was when my iced coffee was more like coffee water. But no big deal. They remade it and apologized. Whenever we're in the mood for a light hearted environment and a well cooked casual meal, we venture to this Dennys. And trust me, Ive had some really bad experiences at other locations. If you do come here, Id say you need to ask for Crystola or Karin. Karin if youre looking for a chuckle or two, she'll tell you some stories that will make you laugh, and her old world accent just adds to the charm. Crystola doesnt beat around the bush and will get you what you want and need when you ask for it. Shes not much of a talker but thats because shes working. :) For as long as we will be in Arizona, this will always be our go to spot for coffee and a warm meal. We have had their hot/cold coffee. Just about everything on the breakfast menu and lunch menu, but we havent really tried anything on the dinner side. I would like to be able to leave a five star review, but I can't. Tonight I ordered the country fried steak, red skin potatoes and the zucchini/squash dish. When my food was delivered I noticed right away that I did not get red skin potatoes, rather, I received instant potatoes. IMO, instant potatoes are beyond disgusting. I was told they had ran out of the red potatoes. The staff was very nice and I was given a different side to replace the instant potatoes. The remainder of my meal was quite delicious. I think it would have been better to advise customers that they were out of potatoes instead of passing off instant potatoes. read more

Worst service ever my Togo order sat over 15 minutes until I asked to have it I'll never come back here. The cashier was slow incompetent and rude. The manager was gossiping with the waitresses while food sat waiting to be served. I bet my food is cold. Got home and I was right the bisque and gravy ice cold my over medium eggs were over easy. Horrible. I called in a two entree order and they quoted me 20 minutes. We had another errand to run so it was perfect we would be there about ten minutes after the pick up time. I arrived 35 minutes after I had called and the restaurant was empty. I gave them my name and they couldn't find my order. After they talked back and forth for about 5 minutes, I find out that the food was never made. My husband being in the car (thinking it would be a quick pick up), I said one moment let me see if he would perfer to dine in. The whole point of ordering take out was so we wouldn't have to sit and wait for the food to be made. Her response was "Well were already making it to go". I'm sorry but if you couldnt even start it previously and we would like to switch it to dine in there shouldn't be an issue. So we get to sit inside while it's made and have a drink. The difference is it would be placed on a plate and not in a to go container. After waiting for the food I asked for ketchup and receipt she told me both were in the bad and was annoyed with me even asking. Get home and there's ONE ketchup and no receipt. To top it off it looks like my order got cut in half because it's in 1/4 of the box. Glad I paid full price for me to not get my receipt, ketchup, food made on time or even the right portion size. Honestly go to IHOP. It's up the 17 one exit and they are much better to their customers all the way around. read more

Waited 20 min to take our drink and food order, left after another 20 minutes without receiving even drinks. First time I've been here in years and such a disappointment. Supposedly they recently changed management which doesn't sound like its going well. The food was not cooked fully and had flakes of black stuff from the grill. The soda was horrible! They could not get the carbonation right.. As soon as we walked in, the host/waitress was on a loud, personal phone call that she briefly paused to seat us. All the workers seem to wear the same pair of gloves and touch everything without changing them. We ordered the nachos and the chicken strips. They ran out of pico for the nachos, which was okay because they offered to replace it with salsa but when they brought out the nachos they were very bare. Not enough cheese, queso or chicken, but way too many chips. Most of which were undercooked and greasy. Chicken strips were okay. The waiters are not good at checking on guests, we ran out of drinks several times and had to wait quite a bit for more despite being in one of four occupied tables in the whole restaurant. At this point, stop looking for a decent Denny's in Phoenix. read more

I decided I would place a curbside pickup order this morning. I received an email stating when it would be ready, which was at 11:19am. I get there early and waited. 11:25am rolls around and I still don't have my order. I decided to go inside thinking they're busy. I talked to a lady and she states they were working on my order. No biggie. I sat down and waited, which I regret doing. There were signs plastered everywhere that it was a NEW LAW to enter with a mask and social distance. At least HALF the people STANDING around had ZERO masks!!! My dad has a heart problem, so I'm careful. I was very uncomfortable being there. I decided to talk to another lady, who was clearly a manager about my order. I told her I had been waiting for 30mins at this point. She IMMEDIATELY gave me attitude. You could clearly see she didn't want to be there. She told me to check MYSELF on the order over at the counter.. it was CURBSIDE! I shouldn't do YOUR job. But I had looked and it wasn't ready. I sat back down. Uncomfortable. Not wanting to be there at all. I ended up leaving after 11:54am with my order. The "manager" was very sarcastic and clearly didn't care. No apology. No communication. I walked out PISSED. I get home. AND I DONT HAVE MY HASH BROWNS!!!!!!!! I'm FURIOUS! Horrible customer service. Horrible management. Horrible covid protocol. Never again will I be going back. So, as an Uber driver, I was delivering food to one of their customers. I was got to the point of delivering the order and discovered this location had forgotten part of the order. I went out of my way to go back to the restaurant and redeliver (at my own cost) the remainder of this order. I spoke with the owner this morning concerning compensation for his store's mistake. He began the conversation with "let's talk about something reasonable" a sure indicator that he was NOT going to be reasonable, and sure enough this man is without honor. On this occasion, my family and I were on vacation and headed toward Sedona, AZ, so we decided to stop at this Denny's for breakfast. I had a waffle with some bacon, my wife got some oatmeal with some fruit, and our daughter had the requisite pancakes. Overall, the food was okay-to-subpar. My waffle was rather dense. The bacon was the typical miniscule and fatty variety. The pancakes were huge and tasted okay. The price and the service were both just okay. Overall, I was not swayed in any way to return to this Denny's or any other for at least another 4-5 years. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I do not recommend eating at this Denny's for many reasons. For one, the servers are always in a bad mood. Whenever I ask for anything, they give me attitude. Maybe it's because I'm a teen and they think that I wont tip well, but I always give a good tip out of respect. Besides the horrible attitudes, the food takes forever to get to you. The first time I was there, I had to wait an hour and ten minutes for my food to get to me, which I then found a hair on my plate. Absolutely disgusting. I went here one time and will never go back. First of all there was a weird odor as soon as you enter, that should have been a clue. They wrote our name down on the waiting list. After having waited for 30 minutes we noticed they had seated a party that came in after us. When we asked why they said that the other party had their own waiter. I don't know what that means. This place is close to our house and my husband and I started going for breakfast on Sunday mornings. the food is pretty good but we really keep going back because of Kristola. She is good at what she does and always makes sure we are taken care of. It can get very busy on Sunday mornings and we had been getting mixed service. Sometimes we got a good server sometimes not. After we got Kristola a few times we started only asking for her when we come in and are always disappointed if she is not in that day. We normally enjoy this location. We go on Tuesdays or Saturdays for Kids Eat Free because we honestly can not see spending $40 plus tip for breakfast at a Dennys. We can eat at a fancy place like Abuelos for $45 plus tip. We went in 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday night. Yummy meal except the new chef had no clue how to poach an egg...come on now and AFTER I paid the bill I realize the did NOT give me the kids eat free. The waitress actually tells me that I have to ASK for it. I am sorry but it advertised on the outside of the building that kids eat free on Tuesdays. I am pretty sure its illegal to tell me I have to ask for it. If not,its very unfair practice. I demanded they refund the amound and re ring up the order. The manager is called and tells me she can not do that. I am sorry but I am a business owner and used to work retail. YES you can refund and re ring the order. When I asked her what she would do to fix it she just tells me to come in anytime and get the kids eat free. I asked her for a coupon or something said this. She just takes my name and says that good enough. We all know that if we go in and she is not there, they will have NO clue what is going on AND how long is she going to keep my name in her pocket. Have never been into this Denny's before and certainly don't usually write reviews on them. My attitude has been if you have eaten in one you have eaten in them all. I was wrong. My food was nothing special but my Waitress was. Another table received their food and I overheard various hairs were found in multiple parts of the order. Tempers were hot, the waitress sounded embarrassed and very apologetic. It was very obvious looking at the shaggy cook who the offender was. When the waitress went to get the manager we were all shocked as the manager just blew her off. Apologizing again she then took it upon herself to address the cook herself very politely but firmly informing the cook of health department regulations. When my food came and I took time to look it all over she assured me she had already done a thorough inspection but was sorry but understood my checking. The huge smile on her face and the way she hustled to go above and beyond in her service turned a terrible food experience into just the opposite and this little gal did it all in her own.
