The service and food was great but wont be coming back because it is very hot inside the restaurant. Especially in this summer heat you can't even eat comfortably. I feel bad for the servers and cookers who are in and out the kitchen which is way hotter. This a new virtual concept by Denny's. I had limited expectations coming into this considering the restaurant in which they were making the food; but I was surprised. While the ingredients that go alongside your burger are tantamount to the quality you'd receive from Denny's, the burger was somehow different. It stood proudly on its own as a competitor in the burger industry. While delicious in every bite, I'll have to say the most prominent feature was the portion size. They're filling you up folks! There's no skimping here. The sides and ingredients are still lacking something, but that's more on Denny's than this virtual concept. Went to the Denny's in Roseville on Easter Sunday. Was pleasantly surprised that it was not very crowded. We (a party of three) were seated quickly and our orders were taken in a timely fashion; however from the time we ordered, 30 minutes passed and still no food. Our hostess did come by in that time and refreshed the coffee, which was appreciated. 10 minutes later- for a total of a 40 minute wait, our hostess did come by and let us know our order was being made and that a big party had come in just before us, causing the delay. So approximately 45 minutes later, we received our food. The orders were accurate and the food was good, but a 45 minute wait seems pretty excessive. All else was good- including where we were seated, as it was in a back nook and relatively quiet, which was great, considering one of our party has epilepsy and loud noises startle her. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the restaurant, but the gem was our waitress Porsha. She hustled and was attentive to everyone's needs. Service sucks. The only thing we ordered was 2 oreo milkshakes. 20 min later, my friend and I got up and left. There were about 6 other tables in the place, I never order a milkshake anymore. Weary traveler be warned and listen to your trusty front desk at your hotel and then the opinions of the previous restaurant before stopping in here - blah, blah, blah right - my point, it's Denny's "America's Dinner" I should be able order breakfast, nachos, a shake or whatever and it look like the picture or resemble the picture or heck just be Denny's type food, right? WRONG! At 11:30 pm our options were extremely limited so here we were being greeted and seated immediately to a dirty booth in a pretty empty restaurant. Other than a family of five midway through a late night dinner, an older couple literally wrapping up their meal and a young lady sitting in the waiting area for a to-go order. I will note here the server deserved at the very least 5 STARS for attitude alone so I feel bad about the one star rating but folks this is strictly for the food not the servers ability to put on a smiling face and earn the 20% that I was happy to give him. Moving on...I was tired and asked if the server would mind if we ordered the food to-go but since we were taking up the booth I would definitely tip him for his time if we could sit and chat here while we waited - again folks, GREAT server, he smiled said he understood etc., etc., and took our order. We promptly ordered the full order of Zesty Nachos, Avocado Chicken Caesar Salad and for our drinks Berry Blue Lemonade for my bestie and for myself Lemon Berry Smoothie - all of this to-go. We then asked for H20 while we waited with lemon to sip on. Apparently our server knew something we didn't because our to-go drinks swiftly came over to our table to our surprise as he promptly walked away with a smile to help two other late night to-go order patrons. We shrugged it off began to sip and said to each other, we'll get him to bring us a styro when our order comes out. 20 minutes later, our 'to-go drinks' nearly gone plus I'm now noticing the family of five irritated behind my bestie and I say 'how long does it take to make a salad?' My bestie says - 'WOW, how long have we been here?' About this time server plops down bag of food with check whirls around saying 'I will meet you at the counter'. I shake my head like I am in dream and I go up to the counter pay. My BIG mistake was I should have looked at the food - lesson learned. Back at the hotel I open the box of the Zesty Nachos and there is no tomatoes, onions no anything, just globbed on greasy what appears to be so called 'zesty' meat sauce if that's even a thing and stale chips. Plus it oozes out staining the pristine white comforter at my hotel - GREAT!! Well, how bad can the salad be? Okay folks not even close to what the picture looks like and I was soooo tired my husband even said you always take a picture - this time I only took it of the bacon that wasn't chopped up. The chicken was dry, flavorless and cold, the dressing was clumped up in a ball in one spot. But at least they didn't use iceberg lettuce and the avocado was edible - YAY ME! Well we should have went to the grocery store was what we laughed about the next morning and folks maybe this place has a GREAT breakfast, I really don't know. I will not be going back or hey maybe at the very least check your order before you leave. The server was PHENOMENAL so keep that in mind and it was just too bad that this weary, late night traveler's food was inedible, well except a few chips and the avocado. This location was wildly understaffed, but despite that, our waitress was so kind! You could tell that she'd been working a long shift and had a lot going on but she still made an effort to make things amazing for us. We both come from customer and food service backgrounds, and our 16yr old is currently in the process of applying and starting her career. This was a great experience for all of us. We know that our waitress was putting her all in. None of our food was bad and she didn't mess up any orders. And for our daughter, it was great for her to see what a real job can be like sometimes, and what awesome customer service looks like.
