America's Diner? Perhaps. This one is located in Torrance on Sepulveda Blvd off Maple Ave south of del Amo Mall and a couple of blocks from the YMCA. I've had brunch here with groups of friends and picked up meals for the fam. My stepdaughter is a fan of their sandwiches and fries. The food is fine with some meals better than others. I am partial to items on the value menu and whenever mom is available for items eligible for the 15 percent of AARP discount. Recently picked up nachos which my family loves. A yelp friend observed that they pack it well and separate the nachos from the salsa, cheese, and cilantro so that it does not get soggy. Service is hit or miss. 3 stars. We're not regulars here but I am sure I will be back when a friend or group invites me to join them for brunch here.

Had to swing by the supermarket to pick up some veggies. In the same shopping center is Denny's. Been here many times. Today, I noticed they had a promo for 5 Slams starting at $5.99 each. Walked in on a Sunday at 10:00. The restaurant was close to full capacity. I ordered the Super Slam to go. Great value and a tasty breakfast. Shout out to GM Frank for keeping me updated on my order.

Order is always wrong. We order the same thing frequently, at least every other week. I always place the order for pick up over the phone. And my husband picks it up. We usually just try to fix it ourselves at home. Today i ordered and again.. its wrong. This time my husband went back for a new burger! We were tired of it. Marina took the order (dbl bcn avo chsbrgr but meat cheese ONLY and bacon avocado on the side) and when i called back i spoke to Socorro, i let her know it was wrong (it had mayo which my husband doesn't eat and avocado on it. No bacon at all) and that he was going back for a new one, all she said was "okay, thats fine" i repeated to her- Dbl bacon avocado cheeseburger. Then i said MEAT CHEESE BACON AND AVOCADO ONLY. Avocado and bacon ON THE SIDE. She said "okay". When my husband arrived he said that Socorro had an attitude and told him it was our fault because we ordered wrong. He told her how he wanted the burger and they made a new one which was made EXACTLY the same way again!! He then tells Socorro its wrong again and she tells him they made it they way the notes(that marina left) says. He asked if the burger can be made the way HE TOLD HER. 2 meats 2 cheeses and bacon avocado on the side. The cook then comes to the front (visibly mad) and asks Socorro "whats wrong? Why do we keep remaking it?" When she starts talking, my husband (already annoyed) interrupts her and tries to speak to the cook himself but the cook rolled his eyes at him and walks away. During all this time im on and off the phone with my husband so he's telling me all this in real time. My husband also told me that there was no one else in the restaurant so it wasn't busy at all. At the same time Im also trying to call the restaurant a couple times to speak to a manager but now they weren't answering me. (My husband said Socorro was on the phone with possibly Marina because she was talking about our order being wrong) well I left a voicemail. Finally, His burger was made correctly the 3rd time! We will no longer be ordering from this location.

5 Stars on service! Gentlemen (Frank) & young lady taking walk ins are friendly and try to seat everyone as quickly as possible. Even the bus boy smiled and wished us a great day. Then our server Jenna was such a sweetheart! She helped us right away, brought out drinks and food immediately. Food was served fast and hot! I even overheard a not so pleasant patron (who was not in her section) speak to her rudely and she brushed it off and was still pleasant towards her. WOW! We all know what we go to Dennys for, comfort diner food. However I've been to other locations where service and wait times have been terrible. This Dennys might be more dated than others, but their prompt service, clean tables and making you feel welcomed makes up for it!

Love the place especially in the morning around 6:00am Good place to take your mom and dad to eat and have a good time with them and the workers funny, professional and more! Love my Hamburger slam hamburger just how it looks on the menu you can ask them to change it a little if you want! I like changing my bacon from pork to turkey option. And onion rings instead of french fries delicious! Mom and dad love ordering pancakes with eggs, sausage, and bacon. Good deals for 55 and over! Or is it starting at 52? We love the server her name is Elisabeth she is so kind/friendly to us. She already knows we go every Sunday morning. We are valued customers that go almost every Sunday wake up at 3:30 work and end up here around or after 7:00a.m. She already knows our chose of menu! Elisabeth and the other employees are hard workers. Thank you Elisabeth and everyone working at Denny's including the cook!

The is the picture of the expensive French fries that keeps disappearing. When I call the restaurant no one answers and no one returns my calls even though they charged my debit card twice for items never received. Of course they don't answer!!

Yesterday, we had yet another rainstorm that was not on the forecast, which is really annoying when you got little ones and not prepared, but ended up enjoying a rather cozy dinner at this Denny's, watching the rain through their large windows. The location is super easy to come in and out, large free parking lot, right on Sepulveda, pretty spacious inside with lots of classic Denny's style booth and tables, and the bathrooms were clean. The service was prompt and friendly, food is delicious, albeit not gourmet or anything. Crazy spicy skillet isn't crazy spicy so I can handle it fine, but you can also add heaps of hot sauce like my husband does. Came out fresh and hot on the skillet, with that mouth watering sound of oil sizzling on the hot pan. Delicious enough to scrape the plate clean, though a bit salty and a piece of something plain like bread would've been nice to round it out. Other dishes are similar, yummy, but slightly to the saltier side, though strangely kid's burger patty tasted unsalted and plain.

DCB and modest amount of onion rings. Rings could have been warmer but DCB was hot and delish!

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

Would I say they have the best prime rib around? No. But it is pretty damn satisfying. When here, I always order the Franciscan cut Prime Rib cooked to medium (it's 3/4 pounds), house salad with ranch dressing, and steak fries. They throw in a loaf of sourdough bread with whipped butter. The prime rib is very tender and has plenty of fat. We all know fat equals flavor. The only thing I would change about it, and I keep forgetting to ask the server each time I'm here, is to have it served without the au jus already in the plate. Don't get me wrong. The au jus is fantastic, but when the prime rib is served in a pool of it, the meat becomes soggy. Served separately, I think the prime rib would be even better. In addition to the prime rib, the salad and steak fries are incredibly delicious. The salad is nothing fancy, but very tasty due to the ranch dressing it comes with. Wish I knew the recipe of the dressing. The steak fries pair perfectly with the prime rib. It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only thing I would say is pretty average is the sourdough bread. Although it comes out warm, I don't get the sense that they're freshly baked. The service here is phenomenal. The servers are attentive, polite, and efficient. Can't ask for anything more from them. If you're looking for a trendy spot with contemporary decor and pretentious vibes, this place is not for you. This is an old school steakhouse with red upholstered booths and soft music playing in the background. If you live in the South Bay, and you're looking for a classic prime rib experience, this is a place you should check out.

When I first started coming here, the smallest cut was only $25, which felt like an incredible deal. Prices have gone up over the years, and it's now $37 for the smallest cut, but even with the increase, it's a place I continue to return to because the quality and experience have remained consistently good. I always order the prime rib medium rare with the soup and French fries. The prime rib is consistently delicious, flavorful, and tender, with a rich beefy flavor that really hits the spot. It's cooked just the way I like it, and every visit reminds me why I've been coming back for so many years. The portions are generous, and the meal is satisfying from start to finish. One of the things I appreciate most about this restaurant is its classic atmosphere. The interior feels like a step back in time, with an old-school charm that is becoming harder to find these days. It has the feel of a traditional steakhouse from the 1960s, and the nostalgic vibe adds a lot to the overall dining experience. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and appreciate a piece of local history. There is a parking lot available, which is definitely a plus, although it can be surprisingly easy to miss if you're visiting for the first time. Just keep an eye out as you're approaching the restaurant. While I miss the days when the prime rib was only $25, I understand that prices have gone up everywhere. The fact that I've continued coming here for six years says a lot about how much I enjoy the food and atmosphere. If you've never been and you're a fan of prime rib, this is a spot that's well worth checking out at least once. Chances are you'll find yourself planning a return

When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor.
