This is overall my favorite Denny's. Costumer service is great and I don't have to wait a long time for my order. I usually go and order carry out and boom my order will be done in a good amount of time. The times I have eaten here they have been great as well, the waitress is polite and gets the order correct. In the city I live there is a Denny's but it sucks so I drive three city's away just to get my food here. I will continue to be a costumer here. read more

I've been to many Denny's, but this location's entire experience has continued to improve and provide excellent service over the years. Service: While the wait time for refills can be a bit delayed, their waiters are very friendly, respectful, and attentive to getting tables' food ordered and plated. Food: Denny's may be a simple restaurant, but it's entrees can pack a punch and impress even the average visitor. While I tend to focus on their breakfast, they have a great selection of lunch and dinner entrees for everyone. Atmosphere: Being right besides Sepulveda, you'd expect a lot of traffic and noise during peak hours, but this location seems to be the exception. Many booths are swept away into small alcoves reducing noise and allowing for a great overall experience while dining. In terms of improvements: - Waiters should check in with tables and ask about refills whenever possible. On many occasions, waiters would walk past our table numerous times with drinks empty until having to be waved down. - Provide recommendations for meals to try when a customer asks based on their diet. read more

Where do I begin? I understand that today is a holiday, but as a properly operating business, this establishment scores extremely low. Understaffed for the barrage of buying patrons. Staff are not addressing the crowd that is growing and becoming irritated by each passing second. Gone there for years. Lately , new ownership and management , things are not the same if you go in the afternoon. Taking too long to place a order , cause they are short handed and I get that. Today was insane. 1 server working , the manager is walking around doing other things and a guy I watching the register. So wait about 15-20 minuets to place the order , wait about another 20 minuets for the order to be up and it's wrong. Ordered a Cali Club adding pickles , American cheese and regular fries. Basically comes out as a turkey sandwich. Server told me they for got the cheese. They forgot the avocado , bacon , correct bread and correct dressing for the bread. I just said forget and left. Food here isn't as good as the other ones.... takes forever and the waitress is rude and forgets a lot of things. Doesn't refill drinks unless you get up and tell them too. Big disappointment going here...We were a party of 4 and accommodated right away..thats the ONLY thing they did fast. We waited 10min for them to take our drink order and waited over 30min to get our food. Never once did our waitresses come by to check up on us. I had to grab another waiters attention to get a refill of my coffee. I asked him for some drinks for my kid, he never came back. Eventually the manager came by and i had to again ask for drink for my kids. We were done eating, we walked up to pay our bill(our original waitress still never came by to check on us once, never brought our check) paid and of course left $0tip. Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was particularly dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole in the wall. I got the regular hamburger and wowwww!!!! There are no words. A classic burger done right. Crisp buns, juicy Patty, stuffed with all the essentials (ketchup, lettuce, tomato, and pickles). Has about a million options between the menu, and the value menu full of specials, so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. Not much to say besides go see for yourself. The only downfall to this is management. A lady by the name of Yvette claim to be the manager of the restaurant, and I was not pleased. It's a Friday night and today me and my boyfriend decided to come to Denny's because it's been so long, I ordered the super bird. It was not that busy, but when my food came, my sandwich didn't have tomato OR the bacon it's suppose to come with, when I told the server she said "oh yes I'm sorry, would u like me to bring the bacon and you put it?" Like what the hell! Went here on Saturday morning after a Halloween hangover. We waited around twenty minutes for a booth-not bad. The server took our orders within a couple minutes of sitting. The food came out in about 15 minutes but I was brought the wrong toast! So the server brought me another but after eating the first piece I noticed it was burnt pretty bad. So I asked for another and was brought already buttered toast. I got the grand slam it was pretty good and they even gave me an extra piece o bacon :) The hashbrowns were a bit bland I guess due to a lack of seasoning. I'd give this place another star but really it's nothing spectacular just average breakfast. And they screwed up my toast a couple times plus forgot to bring me a glass of water. read more

PATIO DINING!! So my family saw the "patio" filled up for breakfast! What?!! Balloons! Table centerpieces!!...During heavier COVID restrictions Torrance is back in the closet when it comes to indoor dining. So my family ventured off for a sunset dinner on this makeshift patio inside the CVS parking lot underneath white tents, adorned with red, white and blue festive, centerpieces. With such limited things to do and people to see, this was an exciting outing for our young teens. The service was ideal, the food, yes Denny's food, was FANTASTIC and cooked to perfection! Fluffy pancakes for my daughter, gourmet cinnamon pancakes and eggs for my son, and hearty country fried steak and eggs for mwah and hubby. Because quantity is impeded during these uncertain circumstances, QUALITY in service and customer satisfaction is clearly a priority for this eager team at Denny's on Sepulveda in Torrance. Came here for breakfast because my 6 year old daughter wanted to eat there instead of Mimi's Cafe. We waited for 5 minutes to be seated which was great.. We placed our order and the sever told us it would take a little longer because they were a bit short staffed in the kitchen. We waited 55 minutes to get our food. My 6 year old was starving and I finally brought it up to the server and said the lady behind us got there 30 before us and she was already eating. The manager came over and said well she ordered a sandwich... Are you kidding me??? We've waited 55 minutes for some pancakes and a omelet. It definitely doesn't take that long. He apologized and said oh I'll take care of it and discounted my daughters meal for $3.99.. Wow that's amazing. I finally get my food and the server said " oh it's the cooks fault". I actually live closer to the Denny's near del amo fashion center and go out of my way to come to this one because the overall quality of the other dennys is really low. We had been going to higher end breakfast eateries with hipster ambiance but wandered into this Denny's we used to frequent 20 years ago. To our surprise the food was really good! I got the veggie omelet with no hash browns and extra veggies while my friend got the standard 2 egg breakfast with fruit instead of toast. The veggies were wonderfully grilled and piled high. The fruit was very fresh and just sliced for her bowl. The bonus? They did not charge extra for our substitutions!! A very pleasant experience. read more

My only problem with this Denny's is their customer service! Not everyone but a specific server we got who's name I fortunately got (Nancy) was just terrible not only did it seem like she was rushing us when taking our order and when we were just simply asking for a to go box or condiments she was giving us a attitude. You should not be working in a customer service if you are gonna have a bad attitude towards a customer. And also when we went to go pay the bill we asked for it to be split she gave a tone and attitude smacking her lips like it was a bother and when she would get the split wrong she would make it seem like it was our fault but we are not the ones behind the register. I have been here a few times because there is usually nothing else open at night. I get very poor service and I am never satisfied with my food. I guess it's Denny's in general but the service could definitely be better. Update: I still come here (even after I say never again to my friends) and it's better. It depends on the waiter.
