Horrible experience from the time we walked in. Water leak at the entrance, water everywhere. Took forever to get food. When the food was served, multiple items where wrong. Meat cooked wrong, hard and chewy. Kids Mac n cheese was old and cold. Hash browns burnt, eggs over cooked. Received our receipt and it was completely wrong. Charged for extra items and items we did not order. Asked for a manager and manager sent waitress back over before coming herself. Finally got the problem taken care of but was not done nicely or professionally. Had to ask other waitress for Togo boxes for the food we did not eat because was already cold by the time we could Start even eating. Went to check out and had to wait an additional ten minutes with only 4 or 5 tables eating. In addition to all this, the lady who checked us out was very rude. Server we had was nice but just not very competent in her job sufficiency. Over all, bad experience and will not be returning. read more

I work in this profession as well, I must say that this is the worst experience I've have had in a restaurant in a long time. Waited 10 -15 minutes for someone to come to our table, Mexican guy look like the manager took our drink order and he must've forgot about us because after 10 more minutes our server came and took our drink order. Brought us our drinks and took our food order. And 1 hour later we asked how much longer and she said it will be right out . Then waited 30 minutes more before getting our food which was absolutely horrible. Cold , bread was soggy, the cheese wasn't melted. No refills. It sucked. If it was up to me I would of given them 0 stars. Don't waste your money or time at this location. read more

The best thing about this location is Diane, our server! All the other staff need to find jobs outside of the customer service industry! Grumpy and bad attitudes. It took about 10 for anyone to acknowledge a group of 12 of us!!! Finally when asked how many in our party, the look we got was like we were an inconvenience. As the hostess or manager snatched the menus up with a terribly unfriendly look, I said to my Mom, "gee a smile would be nice". The hostess / manager turns with fake smile and tells us our table is ready. I must say, having a waitress with no personality or consistency should work elsewhere. I love Denny's restaurants, but this location was horrible. The waitress spilled coffee all over the table while pouring, she put my mom's toast on my sister in laws plate and brought the wrong order to our table. This is MY Denny's so I'm partial to it. I go here once or twice a week in the evenings, anywhere from 4pm to 2am. I eat a meal or snack and stay to read or write. It was getting pretty shabby, and the booth seats either sunk in or sprang up, but I'm happy to report that it was completely renovated inside just a few weeks ago and looks brand new. They have free wi-fi, but no outlets, so you need a charged battery. As a vegetarian, there are many things I can eat. There are lots of burgers, and veggie patties are an option. I've had no problem making substitutions on any order. They have several sides you can choose from. Every three months they change the options on the $2-4-6-8 menu. It's definitely worth checking out. Last night I got one of the specials: an egg-white omelet with zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms, (swiss?) cheese, diced tomatoes, and maybe onions. I asked for pico de gallo instead of the tomatoes--it was a great choice. It came with an english muffin and a small dish of fruit. Unfortunately the cook made my omelet with whole eggs not egg whites, so I sent it back. It was brand new on the menu and he hadn't realized it. Dang, I hate to waste food. The rest of the short-term menu was a build-your-own-omelet thing. I've seen build your own burger, and build your own pancakes. I could've done without the "Baconalia" menu, eww they had bacon and caramel shakes. I couldn't stand to look at it. I'm usually not in a hurry, but I do go there to eat, so I'll ask if something is taking too long. If I don't get something I should, I look for a waiter/waitress or go find one. I tend to take my dining experience into my own hands unless it's a cloth napkin sort of place. I certainly wouldn't put up with a meal being as late as some of the reviewers said. I haven't had that experience though. Generally, if I order coffee or decaf, they make a new pot. That's great since I hate old coffee. I know most of the wait staff and always get what I ask for, even if I have to ask twice, but that rarely happens. I like the architecture of the place--straight out of the 60s--with a steep angled roof that makes for a lot of window space. I'm always comfortable there. I love the ambiance of diner/restaurants, especially for a place to write and to get a feel for dialog from the other patrons. In Tucson, this is the place for me. Where I grew up, it was V.I.P.s, the home of the Vippy Bunny. I've saved the best for last for we 50-plussers with an AARP card. If you go to Denny's between 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., you get 20% off your bill and free coffee. Last week I got a couple blueberry pancakes with strawberries on top and a cup of coffee--my bill was $2.38, so I gave my waitress a bigger tip. read more

In order to leave a review I had to at least give one star. The lack of care for quality control is disappointing. Kids hamburger came out with cheese when we ordered without cheese. They took it back scraped off the cheese and flipped the patty over, I guess hoping we would not notice. What if my child was allergic to milk products? My omelet had a hair in it so I did not finish it. I could see into the kitchen from where I was sitting and there was a worker preparing food and at the same time taking a few bites for himself. This is one of the best Denny's in the USA. The food is pretty good and the service is some of the best in town. No matter how busy they are you have good good within minutes and the staff could not be better. If you have a problem they take care of it right away. I've never left here disappointed. So, I stopped here because it was open at 4a, I sadly wish I hadn't. Curb appeal was decent, but stepping onto the floor to have my shoes stick for each step I took into the diner was not appealing. The "host" seated us at a booth that was clean as all the other booths were not clean, because he verbally said so. Our food came out in a great amount of time, but my eggs were a bit burnt, and there was an obscene amount of butter on my toast that made my arteries shiver just at the sheer sight of it. There was constant yelling back and forth between the employees about money, and table assignments etc. I decided to pay on my card as I was short a few dollars for a tip, and the guy over charges my card by $60! He voided it right away, but this whole ordeal was such a disaster. I will more than likely never return to this location. read more

Took over an hour to get our food, had to get our own silverware, got a quesadilla for a very hungry little boy 10 minutes after everyone got their food, no apologies, comped the freaking quesadilla when another table got their whole meal comped, they offered a discount on our ticket if they could combined our checks, table after table came in & left before we even got our food, still no apologies, the manager didn't check on us once, the server never came to apologize for the delay, food was cold & orders were wrong & still no apologies...but we did get some really creative excuses about some cook who used to work at the Oyster Club (which is supposed to be high end) and how he's really good, but really slow. Well, the server had good customer service however paying attention to detail is key, dont ask your guests if they are going to tip. And don't forget to provide a pen jic the customer doesnt have a pen themselves, as I normally do I forgot mine that nighy. Came here for a Dennys Fix at 11pm after a show, my friend and I knew exactly what we wanted before we even walked in. We were sat at a booth and there was only one other table with guests at it. We sat and waited for anyone to come by for 15 minutes.... then the waitress sat a new table and got their drink orders... UM EXCUSE ME. no fucking eye contact. this waitress had to walk by us to get to the kitchen. and everytime I said "Excuse me, we are ready" no response. Hello?! Is anyone home?? so naturally i began being passive aggressive to see if i could get her attention (we still didnt even have water) "HEY KAT DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT? I KNOW WHAT I WANT" "IM READY TO ORDER ARE YOU READY?" "ITD SURE BE GREAT TO GET A WAITRESS AROUND HERE" "DO YOU THINK WE WILL BE ABLE TO GET ANY SERVICES AROUND HERE!!!!!' (yes i yelled that last one) the waitress was not EVEN 5 feet away. she NEVER turned around to look at us. the other tables (25feet away) were laughing at the ruckus I was making. So we got up and left, "WE ARE LEAVING MAYBE NEXT TIME YOU CAN TAKE OUR ORDER" The waitress heard us then and said, "ok have a good night" WHAT THE LITERAL FUCK. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENNYS, and this waitress needs glasses and a good ear cleaning. maybe not, maybe just fired or sent for some more training. I have been to Denny's in several states and the service here seems to be better. Had a 20% of coupon that I received in my email as I am a member of the Denny's rewards program. I am in town visiting my mom so we decided to go tonight and use the coupon. I had the Senior Tilapia Meal with seasoned zucchini veggies made with out butter and the rice pilaf and the fish without butter as i am allergic to dairy and they skipped the gluten seasoning because i gluten issues, The Server Mark was very accommodating and made sure to skip the croutons & cheese on my salad and the Texas toast because i can't have gluten, I had extra veggies and extra veggie sin my salad as well and there was no up charge. read more

No matter which Denny's you visit, you can count on room temperature breakfast meats and under-cooked eggs. The coffee and service are fine, but I need more. Last time I was there for breakfast the staff didn't acknowledge I was even there, it was the shift change and Ava who usually serve me was out. The girl who was working in her place came in signed in went right to her personal phone and started looking thing up on her phone , next she decided it was time for a cigarette break, went outside for a little bit then came back in. Eddie the cook knows me from previous times I have eaten there already had my order ready it sat on the counter for 10 minutes until she realized there was food for someone. Terrible service, long wait for my meal that never arrived. My husband and I arrived at 3pm, restaurant had very few customers at the time, we waited to be seated, waited for the waitress to finally arrive, ordered our drinks and meal, it took the waitress 20 minutes to bring the drinks (water and a soft drink) A couple arrived, three young men arrived, and another couple arrived several minutes after we were seated. Their meals came out, 45 minutes and we're still waiting for our meal. Asked the waitress when is our meal was coming, she said she would check on it and never came back. This Denny's gives the chain a bad name. Green Valley's and others are much better. Service is non-existent. I sat at a bare table for 10 minutes before they 'saw' me, even though waitresses were mopping the floor and had nothing to do.
