This location is near my home. Usually they are very busy. They are open 7 days/week at 8am. But recently I have not seen a line waiting to get in. So I went at 8am. The server (Logan) says they think it's related to Spring Break. They offer self serve coffee with free refills for $3. I had a Schilling London hard cider for $6.50; For breakfast, I got the granola bowl with fruit and plain yogurt + "The Beeler" biscuit sandwich with Nashville hot fried chicken with hard fried egg. Make sure to wear a loose dress or stretchy pants when you come here since you'll be leaving with your very own biscuit food-baby. I'd also time your visit to avoid the waits. We came in on a Sunday morning around noon - it was busy of course. We were quoted about a 45 minute wait for a party of two but it was actually closer to just 25 minutes. We used the time to go browse nearby stores and by the time we got back, we were getting seated at the bar. Since we had to try the biscuit cinnamon roll but didn't want to be too full, we decided to split that and a sandwich. I forget the name of the sandwich but it was good - I loved the mustard on it and the chicken was nicely fried but not super greasy. The biscuits were good (not the best I've had). I wish we actually had a higher ratio of chicken to biscuit. With how thick the biscuits were, you really need a piece of chicken on each side to really get the perfect ratio. If I were to come back, I'd have to order the sandwich with an extra side of fried chicken and take half the meal home for later. The biscuit cinnamon roll was a massive cube. It must have weighed at least two pounds and was the size of 4-6 biscuits. It was doughy, as expected. It wasn't bad for the price, but really was obscenely large and not that good. I'd rather have a smaller but tastier cinnamon roll. Our service felt a bit rushed, which I can understand with so many people waiting, but it was too quick. I loved that not only did they have a standard bar serving alcohol (great for my hubs) but the had a self serve coffee bar. I visited Denver for the first time this past weekend. I know, where have I been my entire life?!? Although I was only there for the weekend, you bet your bottom dollar I made the best of the weekend to find only the best eateries in the city. Denver Biscuit Co. didn't disappoint! We went to the location on Broadway, the newer location. We went a little after they opened on a Saturday morning and didn't have to wait for a table. Yay! The service was great and the establishment has a nice vibe. It is not that big of a space so you can imagine the wait time once more people roll out of bed to come on to get their biscuit fix. By the time we left, there were already people waiting for a table. I ordered the Franklin, which was a biscuit sandwich inclusive of buttermilk fried chicken, bacon + cheddar cheese smothered in housemade sausage gravy or vegetarian mushroom gravy for $10.95. I'm a huge mushroom fan so you probably would've guessed that I got the mushroom gravy but I didn't. I felt like I had to get the sausage gravy. I thought the sausage in the gravy plus the bacon was a little too salty for my taste buds, especially since they give you a fair amount of bacon. Yes, I'm complaining about too much bacon and I'm also aware that I'm the only person in this world who complains there's too much bacon on a sandwich. Guilt me up! However, I think if I got the mushroom gravy instead, the saltiness would be a bit more balanced. Additionally, I believe the real star of the show was the chicken (in addition to the biscuit) and found myself search for more chicken. If I were to go back (which I will!), I would order a chicken biscuit sandwich with mushroom gravy. The flavors would be cleaner and I can enjoy the elements that I think Denver Biscuit Co. does well! The portions are pretty generous and because biscuits are heavy, I could easy share my sandwich with my friend and had more than enough food. I ordered cheese grits on the side for $3. The portion was small and they just sprinkle a few shredded pieces of cheddar cheese. You could also taste the butter. While it tasted like a liquid biscuit, I was underwhelmed and would not get it again. We also ordered the jumbo cinnamon and when I say jumbo, I legit mean jumbo. You could easily share that with 4-5 people, especially if you are ordering other things off of the menu. We had the end piece so it was a little dry but once you get to the center (the best part), it was deliciously moist and cinnamon-y! I love this place! If you are visiting this is a place I always suggest to try in Denver! There is always a wait, but there is a secret. They do have a waitlist you can join online to help with the Wait while your on your way! They have numerous locations, and the one on Broadway I like best, feels more clean and friendly and maybe because it is closer to home for us. And the parking isn't as horrible compared to colfax and tennyson location. We come on a monthly base. I always end up getting the same thing the Franklin sub bacon for ham steak and both gravy on the side (so it doesn't get so soggy) and of course an over easy egg on top. Only complain is they can invest in more hot sauces! The Lola is almost the same but with syrup and on the side for the same reason. Outstandingly delicious! We came about 1pm. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast but my coworkers sure were. They do have pizza by the slice for the not so hungry which I enjoyed. Have to say one of the best slices I've had! Be for warned as the kitchen stops churning out mouthwatering breakfast deliciousness at 2pm. I still believe you can get pizzas though. I visited Denver Biscuit Co. my first trip to Denver and it was so good I knew I had to come back again. This experience was a million times better because Dana was absolutely awesome! Honestly just an amazing waitress with the best attitude and the most helpful and upbeat personality. My whole group loved her! The food is as delicious as it gets and fittingly so hyped up. The food highlight of my entire trip was probably the ginormous bacon cinnamon roll biscuit and wishing I stopped by for one to go before heading to airport. It was huge enough to share between the four of us, but I could had easily ate an entire one by myself. Everything sounded so good and appetizing but we went with Dana's recommendations of the The DBC club replaced with the hot chicken and egg and the Lola on biscuit French toast. Hopping place with amazing breakfast in the morning which transitions to pizza later in the day. Parking is tough but normally street parking with do the trick. For white some time I've been a biscuit gal and I wish we had a similar place like this in Dallas but then I guess it wouldn't be called Denver Biscuit Company. Imagine a breakfast biscuit on steroids but then make it an any time of day biscuit on steroids and that's what this place is in a nutshell. This location is nice because it's kind of like an indoor market filled with other shops and restaurants so if someone in your company doesn't like biscuits on steroids they can probably find something else nearby. I shared the Franklin with gravy on the side with my husband because it was a late lunch and we were had early dinner reservations in a few hours. I'm definitely glad we shared because I don't think I could have eaten anything else until the next day maybe if we didn't share. Note that this meal is not for the faint of heart, you'll definitely clog up some arteries so if you have cardio planned into your day, that's actually a good idea. The meal itself was wonderful, extremely flavorful and just everything I imagined in a biscuit on steroids. They have perfected this well.
