He noted that they were friendly and honest. He was correct. The first time I went, it was shortly after working with the dealer---I was hearing a strange sound and had just paid the dealer an exorbitant amount of money for repairs on my brakes (which I had been noting for several visits and the dealer and they kept saying nothing was wrong until it got so bad that it became an expensive job). I brought my car to Douglaston Auto Care and the sound was coming from my positioning of the rubber mat on the floor against the brake and gas. Another mechanic would have seen that as opportunity to take advantage. Not at Douglaston---they are honorable. They told me the truth. I have been going there ever since and will never return to my dealer. They are always truthful and explain in detail what has to be done. Their work is also impeccable.
