Tiffany was referred to me by my wonderful wedding planner, Karen at New Sunrise Events. I took a quick peek at yelp, and contacted Tiffany and was so happy she was free for my wedding day! I was actually having some trouble booking a wedding make up artist, just due to them not being available for my day. Luckily, Tiffany somehow had my day open! How you look and feel on your wedding day is one of the most important things. She did my makeup for my engagement shoot (which by the way, I had (a couple) urgent rescheduling issues, and Tiffany TOTALLY made it work and made me NOT feel like a crazy person), I did a trial run with her, and of course my wedding day. I am very happy I chose to do the trial run. I *highly* recommend you do the trial run. It's not a good place to "save" or skip out on. Do the trial session!! It will make your wedding day better. No matter how many good pictures you have, it's not the same as actually doing a trial run.. I even had her do my engagement photos, but still did a trial run to be absolutely sure and comfortable. (And, I'm saying this because Tiffany did not push me to get a trial session... she left it up to me and I think she didn't want to make me feel like she was pushing her services.) I do have to say... having a good wedding planner totally helps. My wedding planner helped coordinate everything with the makeup artist and everything turned out perfect!! My wedding planner and Tiffany coordinated all the times of the actual wedding day- I had Tiffany and her assistant work on my 3 bridesmaids and mom, and myself... and everything went so smoothly!! I found Tiffany through Yelp when I was searching for a hair & make-up artist for my wedding. I knew that I wanted someone who was experienced and familiar with styles suited for Asian features. She is very responsive to emails and very professional with all communications. If you see her studio, you can tell she is very established in this business. I met with Tiffany for a complimentary consultation and felt so confident that she understood what I was looking for, that I booked her without a trial. She showed me several before & after photos of past clients and by the way she described each clients desired "look", I could see that the final product did in fact achieve that. I'm also not very good at describing h&mu but she listened patiently and seemed to understand my personal style. Plus, she has a great selection of hair accessories that you can rent for a reasonable price. Because I deferred a trial, I was able to time it for the day of my engagement photo shoot. I had my doubts but my h&mu held up through my 3 hr engagement shoot and through my 8 hr wedding day despite 100oF heat! She gave me a cute little touch up kit each time, but I didn't end up having to use them. On the day of my wedding, she was a little late due to uncontrollable car issues but she works super fast anyway so we were able to make up lost time. She even helped hairspray my mom's hair (who she didn't style) and stayed a little late so that she could help secure my veil for the "getting ready" photos. Overall, I was very pleased with how everything turned out. Tiffany is super sweet and a pleasure to work with. In fact, she referred me to my florist who I also loved (Three Sisters Flowers)! The only downside is that she is relatively pricey compared to other artists I considered but I ended up making it work in my budget by hiring someone else to do my bridesmaids' h&mu. read more

I took a 2.5hr one one one make up class with Tiffany. She is friendly, very helpful and easy to talk to. I learned lots of great tips from her such as how to put powder on, how to mask the dark circle under my eyes to create a flawless face complexion. She will taught me step by step how to draw eye shadow, which is I really wanted to learn. Tiffany also recommend me the skincare products which is good for my skin type. She picked up the right eye shadow for me to create a warm tone and cute look on me. Her class is a bit expensive but it definitely worth the money you paid for. I had my wedding two weekend ago. My mother's, my sister's and my hair/makeup was done by Ellie and Fiona, who were senior makeup artist under Tiffany Chiang's company. They had transformed my mom look younger by at least 20+ years. My sister and my makeup look so natural and beautiful that our pictures look amazing. Ellie carefully put individual lashes on my lids, not the whole rows ones, so that they feel so natural that I don't tear up due to the irritations. My updo done by Fiona stayed up and clean without any fuss/frizziness for the whole day. I have a pleasant experience with meeting Tiffany initially for consultation. She is very professional and gave me confidence that Ellie and Fiona will work well together on my makeup. Here are little things that I learn from this experience I would like to share: - it takes 3.5 hours for bride's makeup/hair... no kidding, it is not that they are slow; it is really a make of art! - bring your own touch up kids throughout the wedding... my blush starts to fade after 3 hours and my skin got oil-shiny after 4 hours (they don't provide the touch-up kit). - consult with them on what to buy for hair accessories way ahead of time (I got mine from amazon and found that they are too small to look obvious on my head; luckily, Fiona brought some of her own to save the day). read more

AMAZING! Just had my wedding makeup and hair done by Tiffany! I booked her the whole day and felt so bad that I literally locked her in my room all day because I came up and did 3 dress changes and she matched my hair and makeup to each look. It was so individualized between the looks but I looked soooo natural and flawless. I can't say I know too much about hair and make up. But I will review on other aspects. I was hanging around with the bridesmaid side during the preparation for our friend's big day. First off, this was a destination wedding in Hawaii, so her packing her tools of the trade were very limited. She had scheduled each bridesmaids in their allotted time and kept to her schedule and did a beautiful job for all of them. Additional note, it was VERY windy during the wedding, and after the outdoor ceremony, the bridesmaid did not need any touching up to their hair, which I thought was amazing considering that I thought my hair was turning into a mess. Tiffany did a wonderful job for my wedding. I looked really natural and yet just about right for the photo shoot. Like everybody else getting compliments on their wedding day, I did get a lot of compliments and even my sister and mom who're not really generous with them liked the way I looked. First I was a bit worried since I normally don't wear any makeup and I didn't know what goes well with me, etc. On top of that, I got more nervous since I didn't like what we tried at her complimentary mini trial. However, the mini trial helped me figure out what I wanted i didn't work. I didn't want to go for the full trial but I kept changing my mind and sending her more photos. Throughout the process she was patient and a good listener. My only wish was that she could've charged less for my mom and sister's makeup and hair. Tiffany shared both skin care and make up tips in details, step by step and incorporated both info sharing and hands-on practice in one session. I found the practice portion to be especially helpful as it allowed better memorization and allowed Tiffany to correct my mistakes right away. I found the info and tips easy to absorb, easy to apply and I was happy to uncover few of the mis-understanding I had about makeup.
