I was excited to try this place at least once while visiting Seattle. Note that there is no seating but we just opted to stand near the parking lot. I decided to get the deluxe burger with a side of onions and fries. It seemed like they have a bunch of burgers and fries already made, as you'll get your order immediately after you pay. That also probably means no customizations, although I didn't try myself. The burger was quite juicy but nothing spectacular. I was not expecting the onions to be diced and put into a small container, which makes it hard to use. The fries were a good consistency for my liking. Not too soft, not too crispy. I did expect there to be more but it was quite a small portion. I also got a scoop of mint chocolate chip on a cone, which was super satisfying. The scoop was quite large, especially for the price. I'm glad I tried Dick's at least once but I definitely think there are better burger fast food places.

Dick's is a PNW classic. Must try at least once. Keep in mind it ain't fancy burgers. Just plain and simple. And who doesnt like a place with ice cream! My go to is a cheeseburger with their Huckleberry ice cream. So good!

I ordered 2 Specials, 2 Deluxes, Fries and Root Beer. This is my go to order. The food was great. Great customer service. The service was prompt. The Federal Way location is convenient.

One of my favorite places to go for a burger. It's a drive in situation where you walk up to the front to order. There's no outside seating but you can see people eating inside their car or on their car on a dry day. I like to get a cheeseburger which is such a basic, simple cheeseburger. I also like the special which has their special lettuce, relish, mayo mixture with the patty. Their fries are freshly cut and fried. They're not crispy crispy, but there are some crispy bits. I LOVE their strawberry milkshake. It's such an iconic Seattle staple and I'm glad there's more locations popping up.

So what can I say? There is good as in and out They are better than McDonald's. But I still wish their french fries were a little crispier than they are

This Dick's location is walk-up order only. No drive-thru. No tables. A fair amount of parking is available next to the building and across the parking lot roadway behind the building. Prices are good for a burger. They seem to put the emphasis on speed of service. When we ordered they told us what was ready to go if wanted to change our order. There was a mix up with our order that became a nuisance for everyone. Staff in the back assist the cashiers, reading what is being ordered from the register screen and bag it up before the order is complete. We ordered a cheese burger, a 'special', one fry and two milkshakes. The cashier heard "six specials' not 'a Dick's special" and rang in seven burgers. When the cashier read back the order we corrected the order to one special, not 6, and paid. Meanwhile, the assiatant had bagged up three 'specials' that were already made thinking we ordered six, gave the bag to the cashier and the cashier handed the bag to us through the order window. Now I have four burgers instead of two. I tried to return the two extra burgers and she took the whole bag. O.M.G. Can I have the ones I paid for back please? That was too much confusion for one small order. We took our food over to a small counter at the side of the building, near the public restrooms. Napkins are next to the order window. None are put in the bag so get yourself some. Fries are pre-salted and additional salt is not an option. Ketchup can be ordered for a small fee. Burgers are 1/8lb and well cooked. Not dried out. I don't believe they are seasoned. Plenty of mayo on the special, shredded lettuce and dill pickle relish were also liberally applied on a soft bun. Bun to burger ratio is OK. Milkshakes were thick and tasty. Fries are thin cut fresh potato and a bit 'floppy', not crisp. Trash, recycle and compost bins are near the restrooms and the parking area.

Deluxe was delicious and the fries are perfectly crispy & soft. Strawberry milkshake is yummy and not too thick today! No sitting area, just a pick up area.

We're on a weekend trip from San Diego and we're told Dick's Drive In is the local fast food chain. We went the day before and loved it so much that we came back again to a different location. This location seems newer located in the Amazon Fresh and Dick's Sporting Goods plaza. Has no drive thru and no seating. It's basically park, walk up, order, and leave. The menu is basic with 6 types of burgers ranging from $2.45 to $5.30, fries, ice cream, shakes and sodas. No combos, all a La carte. We got the 1/4 pounder deluxe which had two thin patties, cheese, lettuce, mayo and chopped pickles. I hate pickles but it was so well disguised by being chopped like relish and that sauce was the best part for me. The bun was soft. Also got the fries. Loved it. It's like, if McD and In n Out had a baby. Condiments cost extra and it comes in a container.

Just visiting from out of state, and this place was recommended for the best burgers around. Ummmm.... If you like a flavorless patty and overwhelming pickle flavor then maybe?! Don't ask for no mayo because they don't do customizations. My kid hates mayo, but loves veggies, so ordering the plain burger doesn't help either. The fries are a soggy mess, which we were told ahead of time that they can be hit or miss. My chocolate shake was ok, but nothing special. My husband liked his rootbeer float. I don't get the hype. And there is no seating, so we got to eat on the curb in the parking lot. That'll be a definite no for any future visits from me.

Dick's burger in Federal Way...yes plz. Was up for the weekend visiting friends and pleasantly surprised you don't have to trek all the way to Capital Hill for this classic. This locale has that old school look and feel but w updated efficiency w tons of order windows and staff. The menu is short and simple making it easy to choose. I didn't see any outdoor tables or seating but they have a wrap around counter that's perf for standing and grubbing. I had the deluxe burger which rivals the double at In n Out pretty closely...I did enjoy the fries here more tho. It was also game day w Seahawks playing home field so some of the burgers were wrapped in team colors bright green and blue. Points for team spirit!

Their new Huckleberry ice cream flavor

Popped in for a late night snack and I felt like the quality of their burgers and fries were better than the other branches I've been to lately. Parking was ample, counters were pretty much all open and serving, so service was pretty quick and the food was piping hot. I saw their new huckleberry ice cream flavor in the window so I had to try it; I wish they would make their scoop flavors into milkshakes because this would have been a fun one.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #117…read more We visited Onit Cafe on a rainy Saturday afternoon in June, hoping to score an after lunch boba. Sprinting through the downpour, as we hadn't expected the rain, we threw ourselves into this modern, yet industrial shop, where we saw a couple of people sitting inside like us to wait out the rain. We placed our order with the friendly bobarista and got our drink within a couple of minutes. Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea has a heavy powdery creamer flavor, but it's not gritty or silty at all. Unfortunately it's so heavy that the drink tastes almost entirely like creamer with only a tiny bit of flowery finish. It's not the most pleasant flavor due to this quality. While the creamer is on the heavier end, the sweetness is not; at half sweet it's not too sweet. The boba is very good, super bouncy and chewy with basically the ideal texture. They aren't marinated that long so aren't quite that sweet or flavorful. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Onit Cafe is one of those rare places where I liked the boba far more than the drink. I don't visit Federal Way too often, but if I'm even down there again, I'd give it another shot to see if I can get a better drink next time. This was my first time at this location of Snowy Village, and it's been years since I've visited any of the others because IMO the quality has dropped off since the U District days. 1) We walked in and the smell was rancid. Smelled like bad milk, bad/sharp cheese, mixed with hot dairy and chemical cleaning products. So unpleasant we had to cover our noses with our shirts the entire time, and my sister even had to step outside to breathe. 2) There was only one employee working and drowning in orders when we came in at 9pm. Understandably close to closing time. Self-ordering kiosk was doing half the work. The employee didn't greet anyone walking in and only spoke to call out the names of the orders. 3) We finally got our order. Strawberry and Taro bingsoos with extra condensed milk, and a taiyaki trio. The taiyaki dough had unfortunately gone bad. We all tasted small pieces because we couldn't believe it, and it was true. It smelled okay, but the aftertaste was strongly bitter/sour and chemically. 4) I flagged down the employee to let them know that the dough had gone bad. He just said "ok do you want a refund?" I kindly said that would be appreciated, and he said "ok" grabbed the box, and went back to work. I was confused and had no idea if I was supposed to do anything next. Im used to refunds being processed on the spot and having to sometimes provide my card again. I waited a few minutes and flagged him down again to ask him if I needed to do anything, and without moving from the kitchen, he said no he'll find my order and I'll get the refund. 5) We poured the extra condensed milk all over our bingsoo, but then realized that there was hardened condensed milk at the bottom of the little cup that it came in. This only happens when the condensed milk is left out. When tasting it by itself, we realized the condensed milk was spoiled too :( I know working in understaffed environments is hard. Most likely, he was leaving things out because orders were back to back and he didn't have time. So I leave this review in hopes that management schedules more people, and improves their processes for food handling safety. Also, I'm disappointed to see so many business taking the humanity out of customer service. Self serve kiosks are replacing workers who can answer questions, provide recommendations, and represent the company in a warm way. Companies should invest in humanity again. As of now I don't see any refund for the taiyaki. I am hoping the whole order is refunded due to the condensed milk too. Order #24 on Wednesday 5/20 approximately 9PM.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #115…read more This is one of three Sunright Tea Studio locations in King County and is by far the largest in terms of size. It's the only one that has actual seating and tables, which makes it a much better location to relax in and slowly sip on drinks. We visited on the way down to Portland, hoping to get a caffeine pick-me-up before the long rush-hour fueled traffic on the way down. This location has two kiosks for easy ordering, although in less busy times, the bobaristas are happy to take orders and answer questions. Fragrant really condensed milk and extra cane sugar for sweetness. Slight fruit essence. regular ice on a hot day almost all gone within five minutes. About 3:1 ratio tea to milk Boba great soft yet really chewy and bouncy. Compresses soft layer on outside. Fragrant Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Regular Ice, House Milk w/ Brown Sugar Boba ($7.25) - As the name implies, this drink really is quite fragrant, with the somewhat fruity and floral taste that is similar to an osmanthus oolong. It's rich from the addition of condensed milk - in fact, this drink seems to have more dairy in it compared to most boba shops. Watching the bobarista assemble the drink, I saw perhaps a third of the cup filled with milk and condensed milk before adding the tea. I ordered the drink with regular ice and it wasn't nearly enough to survive the hot day - within 5 minutes of pulling out, all the ice was gone. The boba is great. It's soft yet really chewy and bouncy. There's a compressible soft layer right on top that's pleasing on the tongue. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 This Sunright Tea Studio is consistent with the other two locations in the county, serving some really great drinks. I don't come down to Federal Way often, but this would be my choice for boba for any future trips that far down south. Bathrooms - Single unisex room
