For me, Dick's burgers is nostalgic. While living in Seattle there would be the occasion that we would head to Montana for vacation and camping. On the way out, the lunch spot was Dick's. It is right off the freeway and the prices are totally reasonable. While in the mountains we would fantasize about what we were going to order on the way back. This place reminded me of In and Out. Prices here are dirt cheap, I had the double whammy burger (2 patties/2 cheese) which was filling. The fries were OK, not as tasty as I'd like. Very tasty, and very affordable. From their signature burgers, to the fish and chips, to the chicken tenders, Dicks will leave you satisfied all day or night. Their ice cream sandwiches are also amazing - the macadamia, while a little thick, was so good with the soft serve in the center. They also have a chocolate ice cream sandwich too. Fries are a must, as they hand prep them on site, and even though the portion sizes are nice, I sometimes grab an extra because they are that good. This place is so consistent and I love it. I've been going here since I was a kid and will always stick up for it when it's pitted against the Seattle Dicks. I appreciate that you can order burgers without certain elements because I absolutely hate mustard, the fries are always delicious, they're nice and speedy, and everything is well priced. Do you know how many times I have stopped here for a bite, didn't have any cash on me... and they didn't take cards? Probably 10 times... So I was delighted to hear they now take debt cards. On a "fast food" scale, Dick's is a 3-star eatery. We ordered a small cheese burger, a 1/4 pounder cheese burger with extra cheese, French fries and onion rings. Both burgers tasted like McDonald's used to--before they switched over to meat with fillers added. The only real difference was that they use freshly chopped onion instead of re-hydrated onions. The fries were not great but good and their battered onion rings were hot and crisp. Beware that this is a large burger shack. You order through a window from the outside and there is only outside, uncovered, seating. They do, however, have heaters hanging from the roof over the ordering area.
