GREATEST!!!! I have never been to China or Thailand but I assume that this is pretty authentic with spices, oils and dishes. Maybe Chinese dishes are more Americanized but whatever they are fricken delicious!!! My boyfriend and I go here probably 2 times a month if we don't want to cook. I have been to the mission one and found that the Chinese food is better there while the ladera one the Thai food is better, all my opinion. Thai basil Eggplant is a must. The portions are great. The restaurant is big enough to seat people and move around but not ginormous so your still close to the surrounding people. I think they have great service due to the fact that my boyfriend is slow and we usually get there 30 min before they close and they ALWAYS take us. I used to like this place, the mu shu chicken flour patties tasted like nothing but flour. It overpowered the ingredients and made the meal awful. The crying tiger was chewy and was sent back. The curry scallops was raw potatoes, and the curry was water down and for $15 NOT worth it. The curry had 75% potatoes about 5 slivers if carrots and tasted just as bad. Definitely not coming back here. We had a delivery that was messed up too. read more

Best Thai place in the area. Food is always great, portions are huge, service is fast and very kind and polite. We went for lunch couple times and even though I didn't pick from lunch menu one time, they still gave me a free soup (that comes with lunch specials). Other time I ordered for takeout and added a note that I'd like hot & spicy soup to each lunch special and they called me back and said that they don't have hot & spicy today and they don't usually give soups for lunch takeouts (only if you dine in) but made an exception for me and we got some other soups to go. I love Thai food and until now, haven't found a restaurant in OC I love until now! Diho Siam is delicious. I ordered their Thai Basil chicken, beef salad and pad Thai. The basil chicken was perfect! The Seasoning for the beef salad was tasty and they package it well for delivery. The pad Thai was also tasty, however I asked that the spice be a #4 on a scale of 1-5, and boy have I forgotten how much heat those little Thai chilies pack (and I eat habanero salsa)! I also ordered a Thai Iced tea and the sweetness took the edge off the heat. The staff was super friendly and the food was prepared quickly and was fresh. Such a wonderful find! We've made it a mission to get out of our bubble and try new places this year. COVID hasn't made that easy but we are still trying. Ladera Ranch is our neighboring town so we drive through frequently but had never been here. We never even noticed it next to Taco Mesa and Selma's. Looking for something new, we tried Dino Siam. I am very picky about Thai. This was delicious. It was so fresh. We had their Pad Thai, Crying Tiger and Red Curry chicken, brown and jasmine rice and some rolls. So so good , I am craving it now! I've been eating their food through DoorDash for about a year now and I LOVE their yellow curry. It's so flavorful and rich and the portion is generous and usually gives me about two meals if I order an apetizer to go with it. Yesterday though, I went inside for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The menu onsite is expanded from what is offered on DoorDash and the chinese options are really good! A stand out for flavor for me was the BBQ Pork soup. The ambiance was nice and casual, and the table was comfortable. The service was good, even if at first I felt like the waiter was trying to rush us to decide a bit - but I let that go since it was pretty crowded and he was really busy. My sister-in-law loves this Diho! This location is close to home. It's in the same location as Starbucks (which the hubs likes) & Albertsons (where we shop). So whenever we are feeling lazy & happen to be in the area anyways, we'll stop by for a bite. Everything is always a touch too sweet for our taste, even though we ask them to dial down on the sugar & also a bit too oily. But overall, the flavors are good...solid A-ok on the Yelp scale. The owners & waitstaff are very nice and will try to accommodate food preferences. We ordered lad nar once & it was not to our liking at all :( So they replaced our dish with another noodle dish of our choice. We really appreciated that! We'll definitely be back since it is SIL's favorite Thai/Chinese restaurant in the area. read more

My friend and I came a few days ago and both ordered the Pad see ew. I got it with the tofu and also got an order of the vegetable tempura. The food is always amazing and very generous portion sizes. The pricing is fair and honestly not as expensive as I was expecting. My order was around $20 and I had leftovers for dinner. The staff is friendly and attentive. I ordered a shrimp with vegetables on their lunch menu and in just a minute, the food came so fast. I asked for less sauce and it was loaded with sauce. We've been using this restaurant since the twins were 3 months old...so about 13 years now. It's changed hands (and decor) a number of times and the menu has skewed from more Chinese to more Thai over the years (but despite the changes has remained pretty consistently good taste-wise). The staff have always been friendly and determined to make it a good experience. The last handful of years it's been as it is now and it is probably even more a staple in our take away than before. Aside from the occasional mix-up on a special note for an online order (no water chestnuts, add broccoli usually results in no water chestnuts or broccoli!) we are always happy with the quality and quantity of food and the timeliness. Even on a busy night with the online estimate being 40+ minutes we usually get our order in 1/2 or less -- and that's delivery! We all have our personal favourites. Cameron usually gets the pad Thai or yellow curry (gaeng garee). Sometimes he'll switch it up with a red curry (pa-nang) or the spicy beef salad (yum nuea). In all these the protein is always fresh, lacking gristle or excess fat, and juicy. The yellow curry is rich and creamy with mild heat but a decent layering of spice-flavour . You can ask for a hotter level of spice with this or any other curry, of course, but the standard it comes with is minimal. The pa-nang has a fantastic coconut creaminess to it, like the yellow, but also with Thai basil. The liquid is quite flavourful and (as with any of the curries really) is fantastic used in a home-made stirfry the next night on! I'm not big on pad Thai -- I find it a little bland for my tastes -- but it is well made with a nice taste and texture contrast between the crunchy bean shoots and green onions, tender noodles, and crushed peanuts. The beef salad is gorgeous. The roasted chillies add a great flavour (and heat) to the marinated beef and greens. Briannah always goes for orange peel chicken (our lone regular main dish from the Chinese side. With white meat chicken, sweet sauce, and a batter that's not thicky and gluggy it's tasty. I do think it could be a little tangier and less sweet, but it's a favourite with all the kids). She will also take egg rolls if she can get them. The egg rolls have a tasty crispness that complements the veggies stuffed inside. We really like the honey-plum sauce they come with as well. Erin considers the green curry (gaeng kaew waen) with tofu to die for and the wonton soup fantastic if she's feeling unwell. The green curry has a coconut milk/Thai basil base layered with a nice combo of heat and spice-flavour and can be turned up a few notches if you like without losing its taste. I love that I can see the chopped up chilli floating in the sauce! Actually, you can see the spices suspended in the curry sauce for any of them which is good. Curry should be built on a concoction of spices. The tofu is lightly sauteed before being added to the curry and holds its shape nicely. Under the seared coat it's tender but not sloppy. The wonton soup (our second addition from the Chinese menu) is good. It used to have a stronger peppery flavour but these days is mild with a good "broth" flavour to it. There's a decent amount of wontons, prawns, and other proteins in the portion along with bok choi and carrots. I recommend adding ground black pepper to it before drinking it though just to up the flavour a bit more. Ellwyn is an equal opportunity devourer -- whatever anyone else orders she will steal. Me? I love so much on the menu. Some personal favourites are the curries. I also love the ginger & mushroom trio stir-fry. The ginger is sliced in long strips and is fresh and peppery. The pad ka na (Thai green leaf broccoli) with garlic stir-fry is tasty but if you want a spicy stir-fry, the chillies and Thai basil (pad kee Mao) is really really good. I get it with beef, no bell peppers, add broccoli. Good amount of heat paired with fantastic flavours. I think Thai basil and chilli is a perfect pairing to base a stir-fry or curry on, I have to admit! We often get the Thai fried rice with chicken -- it's a mild dish but tasty and goes well with all the curries. The pineapple fried rice (with cashews) is also crazy good but doesn't necessary go as well with everything since it has a stronger, more defined taste. Our favourite person there is Joe, but really, everyone is lovely. read more

Excellent Thai food with great lunch specials! I've tried their Tom Yum Noodle Soup and liked it a lot. It's a bit on the very sweet and sour side so beware if your taste buds can't handle such tastes. I've also had their Pad Se Ew. It's very good and comes with a lot of meat (chicken, pork, or beef) Recently, I tried their noodle soup and got it with BBQ Pork. It only comes with noodles, bean sprouts, and meat but I liked the flavor of the soup a lot. It's very filling. You can choose between a soup or salad during their lunch hours.
