Great food, great service and willing to accommodate allergies. They also have a wonderful DAILY lunch specials of both Chinese and Thai(1130 to 300) that is a great deal! Foods I like: Thai , pineapple fried rice, all the curries but especially pumpkin with Bbq pork, Ginger Salmon, drunken noodles, Pad Thai, Ba Mee Haeng, Tom Fun Soup, Chilies with Thai Basil ( might be my favorite with the bbq pork and a "6" heat). Chinese; all the Chinese appetizers are scrumptious. War won ton soup and hot and sour are both good.not a fan of the chow fun or the chow mien - the noodles are overcooked and mushy. I ordered take out for my family and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of some of what we ordered. It all came out really fast as well, so that was a welcome surprise. We ordered the pan fried noodles, pork pad kra pao, yellow chicken curry, and the crying tiger. Unfortunately, they did forget our crying tiger, but we were really tired that day and didn't end up calling to go get it. The pan friend noodles were alright. They looked really really bland if I'm being honest, but the flavor wasn't bad. The yellow curry was really flavorful, however, it definitely needs more chicken than vegetables. As for the pad kra pao, that one was the most surprising. I'm used to that being ground meat instead of sliced, but the flavor and sauce were really well done. Definitely ordering that again. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I think we need to try other things on the menu. And if you order takeout, remember to check your bags before you leave! read more

Geez!!! I should've paid attention to more of the one star reviews rather than what might be fake five star reviews. No, this is not as good as Thailand, I've been there. This is mediocre at best, and then additional elements lower the rating to below mediocre. -- Tom kah soup is EXCESSIVELY salty!!!!! (and I am a salt lover, I probably use too much anyways). It does not have much flavor of coconut, which is supposed to be one of the featured characteristics. -- pad Thai -- just meh! -- peanut sauce -- just ok -- curry -- VERY STINGY portion. What a joke, for that price point. -- I asked for spices on the side and the containers they gave us were ridiculously empty. I thought maybe I was being punk'd! -- you know, were they offend you but you were being secretly filmed on TV. This is our favorite local Thai/Chinese spot! We've literally been eating in and order pick up all the time for years. We love everyone that works here as well, great people and delicious food. Visited this place earlier this week with my family for dinner. The place was packed and was very lively. The service initially was a bit slow but once we placed the order, the food came pretty quick. We ordered fried rice and massaman curry and both were really delicious. The staff was not super friendly and there is room for improvement in this area. The restaurant has a good ambience and a really good variety of dishes to choose from. The curry portion was good enough for one person, but then the fried rice portion was huge and easily two people could eat. Ample parking available as they are located in a mall. It has been over 7 years since I was here and seems like a lot has changed, for the better. I don't remember that their menu included Chinese cuisine back then. Also, they seem to have expanded the Thai menu. But again, that was over 7 years ago last time I was here and if I totally missed the chinese menu back then, that was probably because I already had my thai favorites in mind and didn't bother looking at the rest of the menu, lol. Anyhow, Diho Siam is the only Thai restaurant in the OC that offers Avocado Curry with Shrimp & Scallop. This dish was highly-recommended to me by a client, and now I am passing it forward. If you love seafood, you must order this dish! You have the option to order with your favorite curry (red, yellow or green) but I love it with "very mild" green curry which pairs well with avocado - flavor & presentation wise. We also ordered their angel wings which was perfectly fried. The service was excellent, and the 2 male servers checked in on us appropriately. read more

There are a couple of issues. First, the soup was no better than a box of Lipton. Nothing Thai about it--just salty water with a few pieces of chicken. I get more flavor from a can of Progresso. I felt like I wasted my money on that $17 salt water. I've had a lot of Thai food, and this isn't it. Then came the Pinang. What was that? I've called dishes watered down before, but this was literally just water that washed the rice right onto the plate. By the time I got the check, I was actually mad. Every dish we've tried from Diho Siam is simply outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and really enjoyable. The portion sizes are also great. It is definitely our favorite for Chinese and Thai takeout, by a wide margin. On the Thai side, the Tom Kha (Thai Hot & Sour Coconut Soup) has that pop of flavor that is really wonderful. Not all places do it right, but they do it right here. I like it best with chicken, but they have other options as well. The Pad Se-lew with beef is another fan favorite, and even the kids clamor for it. (The kid test is all important and is the hallmark of excellent food!) The rice noodles are so tasty. On the Chinese side, the Orange Peel Chicken is really great and has unique crispy water chestnuts along with the chicken that are really tasty. The kids also enjoy the combination chow mein and broccoli beef. Also, you can't go wrong with the fried rice. Inside seating remains closed due to COVID-19, but that doesn't mean they aren't busy! Last weekend there was a pretty long line waiting to pick up orders. Employees wear masks and everything looks to be kept clean. Calling in for takeout is typically painless and the food is usually ready pretty quickly. Five stars. After writing this I want Thai and Chinese now. read more

I see a lot of positive reviews... the service is always quick but the American style Chinese food is over sauced goop... if you order from here I highly recommend staying away from that part of the menu! They overly fried chewy chicken used for any of the chicken dishes is not good. The Mongolian beef flavor always seems off and lacks any flavor that provide a reason to enjoy it. We have only ordered take out so maybe it tastes better if you eat in the small intimate location. Maybe the reviews are so high because it's only competition close is Panda Express. It's a local favorite but I can honestly say after trying it several times it never satisfies the desire for good American Style Chinese food. read more

Not sure what's been going on with this location lately, but the quality of the food has tanked. Our last two orders have arrived with zero seasoning. I don't mean that the flavor was mild, I mean it was nonexistent. I had an entire order of drunken noodles that showed up with ZERO seasoning or flavor. It was just cooked noodles and overcooked chicken. I thought it was just a massive oversight, but it has happened twice now. We've decided to move on and find a different spot. Bummer. read more

One of the best things about Dino Siam is that they have both Chinese and Thai food. My wife prefers Chinese and I prefer Thai. So, Dino Siam has helped us avoid some heated discussions about where to go for dinner. That is greatly appreciated! One thing we can always agree on is their Tom Kha soup. It has an addictive flavor that really hits the spot. On our most recent visit we had the soup, along with Spicy (Drunken) Noodles. Both were great, as always. For something different, we decided to have the crispy duck. That's where the one star was deducted. The menu stated it came with honey plum sauce, which I assumed was similar to the plum sauce you typically get with Peking Duck. No such luck. Either we got the wrong sauce, which is certainly possible, or their honey plum sauce is more like a chili sauce than a plum sauce. That wouldn't have been so bad, except the duck was dry and very tough, with a breading that seemed too thick. We did not enjoy it at all. Will that keep us from returning? Not at all. Next time we will go back to my wife's favorite - cashew chicken. Dino Siam has two locations in my neighborhood, one in Mission Viejo and one in Ladera Ranch. The food is the same, but the Ladera Ranch location is much bigger and has a nicer environment. We have found the service in both locations to be very efficient. read more

Interesting to see the theme cropping up on the low rated reviews permeating yelp scores for diho Rude is repeating as the new normal here. Something changed with this place. Portions less. Service less. What's going on here ?? To lose a regular guest is a serious problem. Cause you get a lot of passes for a while but no longer Rude doesn't make guest happy it seems Meals pretty good. Problem seems to keep happening where table gets served here and there to the point where guest one is almost done before guest three even gets food. Pretty screwed up kitchen. Server snidely said "why don't you come cook the the kitchen if you want everyone served ?" Seems the Togo orders take priority over the in dining guests Makes decent food dining experience as poor as you can find at any dive. Sadly won't be coming back. It's just not worth the chaos or the strange approach to what dining for a nice place out really should be and other Thai places just make the whole experience great. Note to Owner -- door dash doesn't provide the profit "eating in " restaurant does. This doesn't bode well if others have the same too often disappointment here. read more

Best Thai food in OC so far (and I've tried a lot!)! The pad Thai was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce. The duck curry had good flavor and two drumsticks. The Tom yum noodle was plentiful. My only complaint is that the fish balls were too fishy for me and these are usually my favorite). The curry fish Patties were the best!
