The food in this place is nice, not bad. But me 1 start review is about the customer service. The guy of the picture down below didn't let me and my wife walk in because we was with a service dog, I asked why and he said in a VERY RUDE WAY bc the dog didn't have a face mask and it was dangerous because of covid19. So we walked out, I called 991 and in less than 5 min an officer came and they spoke with this guy, and finally they let us have dinner with my service dog. When we was about to pay at the beginning he told us 35.95, and I asked why, bc the menu what's showing different prices... so he explained to me that the prices changed but the company didn't change the letter yet. This makes me think he was going to overcharge us because we finally was conking in with the dog.... Worst customer service ever, rude waitress and not nice at all... will be happy to speak with a supervisor or someone if u can call me... the guy didn't want to provide me his name or his supervisor number. read more

Been here a few times now and my experience has been consistently positive. You walk in, pay, grab some plastic gloves and grab your food and eat. They have a wide array of food items and dessert items. Grab a cup and fill it with whatever you want there as it's already part of the bill. I quite like that you pay up front like a Fresh Choice restaurant chain used to do. The bathroom is clean and the place is nicely spaced out with plenty of tables. read more

Great portions! I order here regularly for delivery. Have not eaten in the restaurant yet. I love the options for different salads and sides with your plate. I usually get the chicken kabob plate which comes with impressive large chunks of chicken. I usually opt for tabouli salad and babaganoush while my husband gets the Greek salad and hummus. Yummy! The general appearance, mood and service here all fit a more upscale and refined palette, and that's before you even get to the food. Bussing staff are constantly keeping the place clean, and POS staff are polite and informed. It's a welcomed experience in a sea of ever lowered standards. The items here are as diverse as they are fresh, which can't be said about most of their locations. Despite having essentially the same menu, you'll find each detail is more cared for, attended to and considered in order to provide a more enjoyable experience. They have an ample selection of meats, salads and carbs to satisfy you, and the only area they're lacking on is fish. Every time I've visited, the fish has been bitter or gritty, and it disappoints my fish loving soul each time. Otherwise, you'll find general satisfaction for whatever kind of eater you are. This location stands out, but more so in relative quality than objective marks. If this is what you're looking for in a meal, then you'll be pleasantly satisfied, but not entirely 'wowed'. I have been to Dimassi's Plano location many times. The service today was great. The lamb shank was delicious. But from there it went all down hill. We sat down at 2:30, well after the lunch rush and before the dinner crowd. The problem was that several trays were empty and what was left was not very fresh. Chicken, gyros, and falafel were totally dry. The food that was brought out later looked better, but too late for us. But the worst part was the ice machine. Clearly it has not been cleaned in a long time because there was brown mold/slime all over the dispenser. Total health hazard. read more

At around $13 for lunch, my coworker an I came often enough to redeem 3 punch cards during our Frisco lunch brraks. It's now closer to $16 out the door. Solid buffet at a reasonable price with all the staples. Particularly enjoyed the hummus and the falafel is excellent as well. The chicken kabob has a great flavor, and the gyro meat is excellent. They also have a fantastic garlic sauce that's good on everything and hot pita bread for making your own handheld or dipping. Finish it off with some baklava that is light and flavorful. We came in on a Sunday night and paid about $15 a head and it's cheaper for weeknights and lunch (fountain drinks and tea included in that cost). There is lots of seating so bring your buddies. It all started when I wanted to impress my parent with some halal food, and since my father like lamb shank, I chose here as I was told that here they serve it. I called them and asked them about it and the guy on the phone, assured me that they have lamb shank. When I got there I asked them and they rudely told me that its just one per person. Which was more than enough for all of us but the way that guy put it was he wanted to show his dominance. Anyway, my 1 star is not because of this. After we where done I realized that I needed to pay upfront and I didn't know it was the case, so i went to the guy in front to pay and i told him that "after ur behavior I could have just left, but I am here to pay because I received a service, U need to improve the service". Again, i was with parents and i didn't want to made a scene. BUT THEN TWO BIG GUY APPROACHED ME AND WHERE YELLING AT ME. Man I felt like it was mafia... I could have left with out paying and tbh I feel that I should have done that... it felt like its a front of a mafia running. The guy was telling me that I don't work here, I just want to bully whoever stand here. Funny thing was that the cashier was super apologetic. He didn't know what to do with them. Dimassi's wins a spot in my favorite places to eat in the Dallas area. It is rare to find a Mediterranean restaurant especially buffet style with good food and good service to match. Due to Covid-19 they required face masks and plastic gloves were made available for people to wear when self serving food. The drinks provided were Coke products (Barq's, Coke, etc) and Tea, Tamarind, and Rose Water. This place has almost everything imaginable ( lamb gyro, falafel, grape leaves, baklava, makloube, fried chicken, fried fish, etc). Lamb Shank is available upon request. If you waste food there they will charge you 7.99 per pound so eat with precaution. Prices are very fair and reasonable. Restaurant was clean. Plenty of places to park. The food was so good I did not want to leave. Make Dimassi's your first choice if you are looking for a good reasonably priced buffet!! read more

Came here during a weekday and was instantly greeted by a friendly young waiter. After paying, the rules were simple, typical buffet style with requirements to wear gloves when picking up the tongs for the food. If you want the lamb shanks, you have to personally ask the cooks over the counter for them BTW. Overall experience: flavorful food with abundant options. This food here was horrible in comparison to the Fort Worth location. The hot food was old, dried out, not very hot but did have flavor. I was too tired to leave and go elsewhere. I'm furious. We've been coming here for 3 years. We have 2 very small kids and the food is typically very hot and very fresh. Today was one of the worst experiences we've had as a family dining out. My husband and I had to take turns going through the line because someone had to be sitting with the kids. 30 minutes went by and there was zero grilled meat available. 5 trays sat empty for THIRTY MINUTES. It was 6 pm during the dinner rush and our kids had eaten and we still were starving. My husband waited to speak to the manager but no one was coming. So finally I walked up to the guy working the grill with a backwards hat and asked if we could speak to a manager. He said "what do you want". I said "we spent $30 on dinner and there was no meat." He said "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!" I said "It's why we come here, it's a Mediterranean buffet. We have small kids and we're hungry and can't wait much longer before the kids lose it". He just yelled "OK THEN" and stormed off. We have eaten here every month for 3 years. We've brought our extended family's and close friends here for easy and fun meals and we will never come back. Going there my first time, knowing that it was a buffet, I was expecting a lot of food but with low quality and preparation. Boy, was I wrong! Lots of food but with high quality and consistency between each meal and plate of food. It does not matter if you are a vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Dimassi's welcomes both. There is a huge selection of spreads (hummus, tzatziki, garlic sauce, etc.) breads (pita, flatbread) and meats (chicken, seafood, lamb, beef, etc.). At most buffets or contemporary Mediterranean restaurants, the falafels are either extremely dry or oily, making them hard to eat. That is not the case at Dimassi's. Always fresh, and whenever there is a new batch on the buffet line, people flock to get as many as they can. Falafels run out in less than 2 minutes every single time there is a new batch. I am never disappointed after a visit to Dimassi's, and I always leave stuffed to where I cannot eat dinner that night or breakfast the next morning. The owners and cooks in the back take a lot of time and care to make sure each component and dish that is on the buffet line is done with love and it shows with the amount of people that show up for lunch daily. While it may not look like it now (due to the Covid-19 pandemic), tables during lunch hours were packed, and for good reason. If you are ever in the area or visiting from another place, stop by Dimassi's for lunch and I promise you, you will not be disappointed! read more

It's a Sunday evening and I have wanted to try Dimassi's. My wife has been here a few times and raves about the food. The food was good and very fresh and get a 4-5 stars. The buffet style and the crowded restaurant doesn't leave the area looking clean. There could be more attention paid to the food service areas and the utensils could be replaced more frequently. Maybe it's the wrong time for me to stop by, it was very loud with families and kids. The owners would consider installing a wall just by the row of booths to divide the dining room. Bring back Cedars. I want Cedars back. Dimassi's is a wannabe Cedars. Sure, Cedars couldn't manage their money worth **** (hence them going out of business), but man, they did Mediterranean buffets way better than Dimassi's. I've been going to Dimassi's whenever I was jonesin' for Mediterranean and I don't feel like paying for a single plate of two sides and one meat from Fadi's. A fair compromise, especially when both are the same price almost. But man, today I was straight disgusted. I respect all religions but damn, does every employee seriously need to come into the CUSTOMER'S BATHROOM, and straight up wash their feet in the sink, and then proceed back into the kitchen?
