This buffet is a busy place. It is very open. There is a lot of seating and it is very loud in there. The food was ok. I guess my favorite was the couscous. I also enjoyed the pita. This buffet place is sure delight. Its a total worth of your money and appetite. The reception is welcoming and warm and they make it a point that customers having a good time is their priority. Came here the other day for lunch. Great buffet selection. A lot of meat options, salads, dips, and grains. The selection can be a bit overwhelming, but at least you can try a little bit of everything. Just be careful not to load your plate up too much and waste food bc they will charge you for food waste, of so their signage says. So it makes you feel like you are a kid again and your mom is watching you making sure you eat every last bit of food on your plate. I love this location! I usually go to the one in Richardson but this is my first time trying out this location and I love it already! When I walked in the guy operating the register was extremely friendly and nice to me and my family. I love the open concept kitchen and The freshness of the food. There is always a bunch of people at dimassi's, and for good reason. I know this isn't the reason you would go to a Mediterranean restaurant but the ice cream machine is heavenly. We've been eating at Demassi in Richardson for years, so we're glad to now have one close to home. Food quality here is actually better. Hot food, fresh rice, warm pita was constantly being brought out. Vegan friendly. Never been the type to leave a bad review or a review in general. I'm not a picky eater either. I'd eat almost anything. I've never been to a buffet where almost every single item is bad. Basically me and my gf paid $40 for basic hummus because that's all we ate. Chips burnt for the hummus, rice taste like boil in the bag rice from Walmart, cauliflower had so much salt on it that we couldn't eat it, kabob taste like ihop sausage, etc... after I asked for a refund politely, I was told they do not offer refunds. Wasn't going to make a big deal out of it, I respect it, but just thought I'd share my experience here. Would not recommend and I'm never eating at this place again. read more

Great Mediterranean buffet with so many options! I'm vegan and I wasn't expecting to have much to eat besides pita and hummus but there was so much! Most of the vegetarian dishes are also vegan, so there was a great selection, from baba ganoush to three types of hummus to at least five salads to some hearty lentil soup. There was even one vegan dessert, though I forget what it was called. It was a bit greasy and syrupy, but a nice decadent treat. Lunch price was $14 including tax, pretty great for a buffet and even better if you can eat your money's worth of more expensive meat dishes haha (although I'm always recommending people try out a plant based diet even just for a few meals per week!). Some friends and I stopped by for the 1st time at Dimassi's and I wasn't impressed. First off, no one is there to greet you upon arriving. It's a buffet style meal so one just finds a table, grabs a plate and gets in line. The variety of food was great, however considering the amount of people constantly filling their plates, the food was never refilled often or hot, served very like warm. At one point after I got to the end of the line, I went around to the other side to grab some rice - there was approx 5 people in that line however they just started serving their food and the rice I wanted was at the opposite end of the line so I jumped the line (approx 12 feet of no one grabbing any food) and I was told by some man (under his breath) "next time you wait in line!" Okay, I know their is dining and buffet etiquette but waiting my turn was silly considering no one at all was anywhere near that area and everyone else was doing it too! The beverage and silverware area is the most chaotic, everyone was treating to get a drink and silverware at the same time while bumping into one another, they are spaced two feet from each other. A great way to alleviate the problem is to have the silverware and napkins already at the table, thus minimizing the crowd that gathers and causes congestion. Not once did someone come to the table to clear plates or ask if anything was needed. Overall - food was ok, good variety, taste was average but temperature could improve. More fruit options would be nice as well, only had melon and oranges. I can't rate service, none given. Most likely not a place I'd return too. read more

I was so excited to see that a Dimassi's opened up less than 10 minutes from my house. This particular location is very big and spacious. The staff is nice and greets you immediately. You are self seated and pay once you leave. This is a Mediterranean buffet with tons of protein, veggies, and side dishes. My favorites are the lamb shank, falafel, roasted cauliflower, and cheesy spinach. The salads are great and everything is buffet style. The place is nice and clean and there is a staff who cleans up almost immediately. I love their food and I love the price even more. For $12.92 you get an all you can eat dinner buffet. One of the things we have missed most during Covid is Mediterranean buffet! We called and found that they are serving buffet again. Since this was my husbands wish for his birthday, we decided to take a chance, saying ahead of time that we would step inside and check it out before making the decision to stay. We were immediately warmly greeted and observed required disposable gloves for customers at the buffet and also masks and social distancing required. The food was amazing, as always. Dimassi's is my favorite for Mediterranean food and I have been here many times - Today's experience was totally opposite of what I had experience. In the spirit of helping Dimasis to improve and grow, here is what happened today. Sunday March 6th at 2:00 PM I arrived with 4 friends for lunch. 1. The casher was on phone, no eye contact, no welcome, no thank you. 2. Asked the casher for Dimassis Loyalty card - she had no idea what I was asking for - after consulting with someone in the back she came back and notified "we don't do the Loyalty thing over here ! 3. Half of the hot food trays were empty - see pictures 4. I asked for the manger, and was told "there is no manager" 5. A guy was working at the grill behind the counter - who refused to respond to my "excuse me". I decided t came back after 10 minutes 6. I picked up salad items, and came back after 15 minutes. Now there were ten customers standing with empty plates and still no hot food on the trays. 7. The guy grilling behind the counter came over to put some chicken cubes in the serving and ordered customers waiting for food, to limit picking 2 pieces of kebab, and pointed to a sign ( see picture). This server's mask was not covering his nose ( see picture) 8. I asked him why there was no food in the trays - at first he ignored me and refuse to talk. Then he responded with rudeness & disrespect to the customers standing in line waiting for food and asked them to leave if they have a problem. 9. A couple of customers pulled out their phone cameras and started taking pictures of the empty trays, I joined in and took a few pictures to share with the Management and Yelp followers. 10. I picked up a few small items and went back to my table. 11. The grilling person in the back, came over to my table with another person (see pictures) and asked me why have I taken pictures of his staff. He demanded to see my phone. Upon my refusal to hand over my phone to him, both the guys became agitated and raised their voice at me, and threatened to call the Police. 12. As the employee was making the police call, we decided to de-escalate the situation and leave, without finishing our dinner. 13. As we were exiting the restaurant, the guy in the picture further insulted us by screaming" don't come back". I am sure this is NOT Dimassis model of service - looks like the "untrained" service staff decided to have fun in the absence of a manager. And, I look forward to coming back and enjoying good food and good experience. What a Value! I found myself in Paradise. One of my favorite Cuisines served Buffet Style. Can't say enough about this place. Plenty of Great Selections Fresh and Scrumptious, from the Hummus and Pita Pockets to the Chicken Tika and Dolmades. All this while watching the Pats and Jags game on TV.
