The drinks are always good here T~T The staff are polite and drinks come out quickly every-time. The interior is neat and well lit. There's plenty of tables to hang out or study and the workers are friendly. Vi was a pleasure to talk to!

Taro mix burnt cream milk tea
    Samantha W.

Been to a different Ding tea before but this was the first time at this location. We had the taro mix burnt cream milk tea. I liked the real taro in it, much better than taro flavoring alone. I thought the drink overall was okay. I think a bit more taro mixed into the milk would've made it better because all the taro was only lined on the inside of the cup so you had to use the straw to scrape it off and when you did scrape it off - I felt it would've been better with more of it. Also, the boba was a bit on the firm side and I think it would be better if it were a little softer.

Kumquat green tea with grass jelly

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small boba shop that has some seating area. Good for hanging out and studying or doing work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks I've tried at this location: Kumquat Lemon Iced Tea with grass jelly, half sweet. Super refreshing! You can taste the citrus. The grass jelly was soft and silky. I could've gone less sweet but still pretty good! Assam Black Tea with grass jelly and half sweet. Just the right amount of sweetness for me. Grass jelly soft and silky. The tea was earthy and strong, just the way I like it! Oolong Tea with cheese foam and golden boba, half sweet. The boba had the right amount of chewiness. I prefer to get regular tea with cheese foam because the cheese foam makes it creamy and a touch savory to cut the sugar down a bit. Tea was strong but could've been a touch stronger. The young lady that helped me at the register was kind. They make their drinks speedy, perfect for on the go. I believe you can even order online to pick up? Also don't forget to ask for a stamp card. Buy 10 and get 1 free.

    Mulberry tea

I was nearby and thought to try this unique place. Walking up to order I wanted to try something different. There was a sign to try their new mulberry tea with crystal boba. I tried it but with lychee popping boba instead. The tea and the boba was good. There were lots of mulberries in my drink which I appreciated. However I was thinking it would be fresh fruit. When I ate the mulberries the texture was chewy? As if maybe they were dehydrated, then they tried to hydrate them again but not long enough? The service was good. Think I'd try the place again, but order something else.

Strawberry slush with strawberry popping boba and Hokkaido Milk Tea with cheese foam.
    Charlotte R.

I've been here a couple times but was not impressed with the last visit. I ordered a Hokkaido Milk Tea with cheese foam and a strawberry slush with strawberry popping boba. The cheese foam had a grainy texture and the drink tasted watered down. The popping boba was also a little hard. I was disappointed but hoping it was just an off day.

Winter melon green milk tea w/ lychee jelly
    Julie S.

I really enjoyed the flavors of winter melon and green tea. Although I personally enjoy adding lychee jelly to my milk teas, I would probably get a different topping next time as it didn't compliment the drink too well. I do appreciate its large variety of a menu so I definitely want to try another drink the next time I visit. Service was good. Minimal interaction as expected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great place to hang out, especially at night since it has late hours until 11 pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, pretty chill vibes and has nice decoration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped by Ding Tea in University Square Shopping Center for a quick boba break, and overall it was a solid visit! We tried the Strawberry Yakult Slush and the Honey Sweet Passion Fruit with Golden Boba--both drinks were super flavorful and refreshing, though definitely on the sweeter side, so something to keep in mind if you prefer a lighter taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is clean with plenty of seating, which made it a nice spot to relax for a bit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went during the day and it wasn't crowded at all, which was a plus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only downside was the customer service--it felt a bit rushed and not very welcoming. Nothing major, but a friendly attitude would've made the experience even better. Overall, I'd come back to explore more of the menu. The drinks were good, the space was chill, and with a little more warmth from the staff, this could easily become a go-to boba spot.

This place is consistently good! I love their Thai tea, passionfruit slush with boba, and their signature. Service is usually good, they may take a second to take your order but it's never too long. Prices have increased over the years just like everywhere else.

I had Ding Tea in Asia, but never in the US until now, neither a location in San Diego, finally after 3 years seeing them popping up left and right, I stopped at this one to try out their tea, I guess their regular milk tea was just like a lot of reviews said, a bit bland and water down, but their brown sugar monster was a bit better, and I really like their boba toppings, not sticky or chewy at all. The price point is a little high for 2 large drinks came out almost $20 compared to other chains.

    Lea J.

5-stars for the drink! Golden boba was perfect and the milk tea was well balanced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Staff and ambiance are what you would expect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Compared to the name of the spot, the interior felt like it belonged to a night time sushi spot. I'm not sure if they are allowed to repaint the interior, but changing the black/dark blue walls to something more bright would open up the space a little more-- it is a small place, but felt even smaller with the design choice. The menu was organized, but it seems like they were out of a few items in the morning as they didn't have mini pearls--only regular. And for some reason, you couldn't change the sweetness level on the drink...or maybe it just related to the drink I chose? Not sure, it was my first time there. The worker was nice & patient. Although for not having many people in the shop, I hope they could take the time to perfect their boba. It was VERY clumpy and not good-- texturally and taste wise. It didn't have that rich brown sugar taste and it was very gooey and chewy (not in a good way). They did give a good amount of boba, but I feel most people would toss it out because of the bad quality. Which would be a waste of money. To drink, I chose the Hokkaido Milk Tea with Pearls. I wanted to do 50 or 75% sweet but I guess since this is a caramel noted milk tea, it isn't possible. I think the tea was ok. I would order something else next time. My friend had the Okinawa Milk Tea with Pearls, I'm unsure if they asked for a certain sweetness level or not. They said the tea was good, but the pearls weren't good. Something to note, I charged the drinks on my card and rather than saying Sayaka Tea, it said Sharetea...interesting. I wonder if they rebranded themselves or ?? Each drinks were around ~$7-8 ish! I'll give them another try, I hope the boba will be better the next time around and I'll be allowed to change the sweetness. If not, I'll be heading a little further down the street as this tea spot may not be for me!

From the very beginning, I was blown away by the level of care and attention I received. The owner, Le, personally answered my call and guided me through the menu with a level of detail and warmth that immediately put me at ease. I have specific safety needs and allergies, and she handled everything with such grace and professionalism. She was clear, direct, and supported me through every action of the process without ever overwhelming me. What I deeply appreciated out most was how naturally she accommodated my needs. There wasn't a moment where I felt like an inconvenience. Instead, I felt genuinely cared for. Le's passion for her craft is unmistakable. She shared how she has studied flavors extensively, traveling to Vietnam and Taiwan to deepen her understanding of traditional techniques and flavor profiles. That dedication shines through in every sip. She explained how she carefully develops her own recipes, blending cultural influences with precision and creativity. Even the boba itself is made fresh every morning, which makes a huge difference. I can taste the quality, texture, and freshness immediately. I started with the taro milk tea (with almond milk due to my allergies), and it was absolutely phenomenal. The drink was luxuriously creamy with a silky, smooth texture that coated the palate in the most satisfying way. The taro flavor was rich and earthy with a subtle nuttiness, balanced by a gentle sweetness that never became overpowering. Just when it seemed like it might lean too sweet, the creaminess would round everything out perfectly, creating a beautifully harmonious flavor profile. Adding the boba elevated the experience even more. The pearls were soft yet chewy, with just the right amount of bounce, and carried a delicate sweetness that complemented the drink rather than competing with it. It was, without question, the best taro milk tea I've ever had. Next, I tried the "Over the Rainbow," and it was just as impressive in a completely different way. This drink was bright, vibrant, and incredibly refreshing. The tartness of the lemonade provided a crisp, zesty backbone, while the popping boba added bursts of sweetness that danced across the tongue. Each sip was layered and dynamic, cool, tangy, sweet, and slightly effervescent in feeling. Visually, it was stunning as well, with beautiful, shifting colors that made the experience feel almost magical. It was as much a feast for the eyes as it was for the taste buds. Both drinks were so good that I drank them down almost immediately! I didn't even think to take a photo! I even found myself savoring the melted ice afterward just to enjoy every last trace of flavor, which shares a lot about the quality and balance of the drinks. To top it all off, Analise, who helped me at checkout, was equally kind and accommodating. She continued the same level of care and attentiveness, making sure my safety needs were respected and that I felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. Boba Monkey has truly set a new standard for me. Between the exceptional quality of the drinks, the depth of flavor, the cultural authenticity, and the genuine kindness of the staff, this place is in a league of its own. If I could give them a billion stars, I absolutely would. Best drinks, best boba, and one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

I'm surprised some people could sit down and work/study successfully. Note: I had a positive experience last time getting a blended drink, but today I felt like trying their Thai Tea (not blended) and two Korean Corn Dogs. I ordered the hot Cheeto one with cheese and sausage. Did not wind up receiving the hot Cheeto one. Got a regular one with all cheese, no sausage. Partner got a potato one with cheese and sausage, but only 25% of the filling was sausage. We ate them anyways and wanted to leave it at that since the parking was so difficult. Then my stomach started gurgling in a very wrong way. I don't know if something went wrong with the Thai tea (was the milk they used expired?), or with my Korean corn dog possibly being prepared wrong with a new hire, but my body rejected it violently once I got home. I'd be very cautious about coming back here. Most likely won't. Couldn't finish my Thai Tea. Had to throw it out. I'm hoping this was just an unfortunate one time thing, because it seems like people for the most part have a good experience from their food and drinks. This is my third ever time visiting Urban Bubble. The past two visits were for blended drinks and they were great! The girl working the cash register on the evening of 4/24 around 8:00PM was really helpful with suggesting recommendations and did great. I don't know who prepared my food and drink but maybe they need extra training, heads up. If you order food, I suggest that you check the food before leaving the building instead of trusting that it was correct and finding out once you've already left.

The interior feels like a wild little wonderland--funny photos in cutesy frames, oversized chairs and couches, curtains on the windows, flowers draping the walls. Super cute, genuinely charming. Then the TV ruined it. The soccer game was blasting at full volume and the staff behind the counter were completely checked out, locked into the match like the rest of the room didn't exist. It felt like they were on a different planet. Mouth-breather energy, zero awareness of customers. Hard to enjoy the space when the sound is that aggressive. The Thai tea itself was excellent. You can actually taste the layers--the highs, the lows, the richness and texture. Real craftsmanship. Problem is, they don't do blended versions (only iced), and after driving all the way out here I was craving that thicker, blended texture. Still, the quality was clear. My buddy's iced latte was next-level though--insanely strong and delicious. Could wake the dead. Worth popping in if you're already in the neighborhood and want solid, authentic drinks. Just be prepared for a possible TV takeover and the trek. Cute space, great drinks, but the vibe gets tanked by the noise and the staff's total disconnect.
