Came with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. The place wasn't packed but everyone was seated in the same area. We were greeted by our server and he introduced himself to us by name--I've eaten at many places where they just say "Hi, I'll be your server this evening". He explained both menus and the various options they had. My friend is vegan and she wanted to get the enchiladas. She told Christian she didn't want it with any meat, just veggies, which prompted him to ask if she had any dietary restrictions. He said he'd asked the chef if he could make substitutions and the chef did. Christian even came back to inform us that the sauce they normally use is a cream base (dairy) and brought out a vegan version for her to try. The attention to detail and care for the customer's preferences along with the taste and good portion of the food, is what made it a great experience! I'd come back at night to experience the fireplace that's at the center of the tables and to try other items on their menu. While the ambiance of the place is aesthetically pleasing, we didn't find the benches near the windows to be comfortable. You can't rest your back without feeling so far away from the table, forcing you to sit up and lean forward. read more

Manger does not know how to run a restaurant,especially on a busy day like Mother's Day , I had a reservation for 12:30 and the silly manager as well as the host stated I would still have to wait over 30 minutes to get seated.We did end up getting sat faster than expected only because I brought it to the managers attention.Once we got seated our server let us know the food would take an hour or an hour and 30 minutes to get our dishes ,something we were not told by the host which was irresponsible in their part.We ended up waiting almost two hours with only our appetizer and one margarita coming out. To top off the messy team ,Our server by the name of "Chava" decided to act rude,arrogant and unprofessional by cancelling our order without us telling him to cancel it.He proceeded to point his hand at one of my family members face and cut me off mid sentence to what I was trying to explain to him. We were shocked when he put the check on our table without any response.We didn't ask for the check,we asked if he may please go check the kitchen to see how much longer our food would be ,not our check.In fact,he was too prideful to apologize and admit his mistake ,an appropriate response should've been "I misinterpreted what you said ,i will fix this issue" This server should be fired by how inappropriate his response was to our concerns.If you know your kitchen is one hour to two hours backed up ,why am i still seeing tables of 8 or more getting seated just to be told the same thing . I tried Diosa for my first time today and it was a delight. I was greeted by the host and was taken to my table immediately. Victor was my waiter and he was amazing. Very attentive and he was able to tell me about a couple great items on the menu and offered a green and red salsa that he thought I would like with my dish. For my Sunday morning brunch, I had mimosas and the shrimp enchiladas with rice and beans. My dish was delicious and full of flavors. On top of the delightful food, the ambiance was beautiful. I had made a reservation for 7:45pm for Valentine's Day in advance, and fully aware this was going to be an extremely busy evening. To start the evening, my date and I checked in and handed a buzzer and told there's a two hour dining limit. We were waiting for about 35 minutes at the bar and I asked about our table at the hostess desk, and she let me know she called my name. I didn't hear my name being called, nor did the buzzer go off, so that was already an interesting start. Then, the young hostess was basically running to the tables outside and was told by another staff member to slow down. The outside thankfully had heaters and the decor wasn't too bad, however, the music that was playing a personal speaker and also playing music off of someone's phone. The speaker was very loud and my date and I started to hear artists like Taylor Swift and the Black Eyes Peas play, which I notified the server the music was terribly loud and also not pleasant. The server said the manager won't change the music but can authorize the music to be turned down. Overall the server, staff, and food were thankfully good but the reservations should've been limited in order to have your guests have the best quality experience and not have it be so disorganized and an after thought. My date and I were dressed up and had to sit outside with individuals that were clearly not dressed appropriately and we felt like the entire experience was an afterthought. Absolutely horrible Mother's Day brunch experience. Our reservation was at 10:30 and we did not get our food until 12:15. You know it's bad when the other tables around you don't have any food either. I wish I could say the taste of the food redeemed the ungodly amount of time we had to wait, but my breakfast burrito was dry and bland. Shame on the manager for overbooking this place and leaving his young employees to bear the brunt of his clientele's frustration. My family and I will never be back to this establishment. We'd rather go to Javier's for the same price and miles-better service and food. read more

I went to this new location for happy hour and I was not disappointed. A Very upscale Mexican restaurant They had a nice variety of food items and drinks on their menu. Happy hour is from Saturday to Monday all day:) We tried various items from the menus and everything was flavorful, hot, fresh and with quality ingredients. We loved the margaritas and pina coladas.The decor is so beautiful and modern. Beautiful atmosphere. The chefs, waitresses, and hosts were phenomenal. They were very friendly, funny, kind, and very accommodating. Easy parking and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The bar area is large with high end furniture. I was taken to LA Diosa Restaurant for my birthday dinner by my girlfriend. I expected the food to be cold and overhyped, but to my surprise, it was hot and tasted great. Three stars only because the restroom smelled so bad. When we went into the restroom, the lights were off, so no one was in there before. It smelled like a sewer. It was really bad. We came for happy hour. Michelada was decent. $6 not bad. Nice variety. I wanted to try the queso fundido from the regular menu but it was $21 with chorizo The price point here is high and the food is okay. I saw $45 for aguachiles. I didn't try them but I hope they're good. I just don't think this restaurant fits the demographic of Downey. Maybe Beverly Hills. That's the vibe when you walk into this place. The service was good. My family and I visited this establishment on Mexican Mother's Day for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. Very satisfied with the service and the experience we had. We arrive around 4 pm and we realized they are offered a very solid happy hour menu which we were able to enjoy. We had the chips and guac, green enchiladas, taquitos and street tacos. We also had a couple of margaritas from the happy hour menu. Overall, we will absolutely come back and enjoy the great service. I hope it remains consistent. read more

Upon arrival with reservations booked ahead of time still having to wait 40 minutes to be seated. Sat down at our table and no waiter present for another 30 minutes to take drink & appetizers orders. After ordering drinks we had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks including a non alcoholic beverage. The food came to the table before the drinks (horrible). The ambiance is so nice but the service is horrible especially the waiters they don't check up on you, I literally had to flag them down to grab their attention. I visited this place for the 3rd time already and it will be my last. The food & drinks are okay but overpriced. This place keeps declining after every visit. Sucks to see such a nice place get overlooked by bad service. read more
