Dippin dots is so fun. A great twist on ice cream that is like little ice bubbles popping and melting in your mouth. Very easy to eat and enjoy, the texture is so amusing. They have a nice selection of different flavors. The cookies and cream one was very delicious and sweet. Great spot for a quick dessert after eating.

Dippin' Dots at the mall brings back so much nostalgia for me. It's probably one of the oldest units there, reminding me of when my mom would buy me a cup during our shopping trips when I was a little girl. The process is very quick and easy--you pick your flavors, they scoop it up, and you're all set to pay. When I visited, it wasn't busy at all, and the place was empty. This might be due to the fact that most desserts and sweet treats average around $7. I opted for a medium, and it was honestly pretty filling. I could have gone for a small, but it felt like a nice treat for myself. This is the only location I know of, and I really hope they don't close down!

The dipping dots are frozen and sticks to your tongue. That's kinda why I like it, haha. Service was fast but didn't get a great welcome greeting. It's inside the mall so it's loud and next to the kids play area. Quick to get something cold, but it's about $6 for a small cup.

I absolutely love the Banana Split flavor. Reminds me of nostalgic childhood memories of summertime visits at water park Raging Waters eating Dippin' Dots always this flavor. The prices are a little pricey for this unique style ice cream but so worth it if you love the Banana Split flavor!

There's not many actual Dippin' Dots locations anymore so finding this at the mall was a nice surprise. The spot is small but what do you expect from an ice cream type of spot in a mall. The service was good as the worker there, was super nice and welcoming when I visited. I always get the cookies and cream flavor from here. I haven't really tried any other flavors besides vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. It's just so good and different to have on a hot day and/or a "treat yourself" type of day. If you have never tried it yet, I definitely recommend that you try some Dippin' Dots from an actual spot!

It's a wonder Dippin' Dots aren't more popular because they're a delicious and innovative take on ice cream. I got the birthday cake flavor to celebrate my birthday reward and it was very easy to redeem. Remember to bring your birthday voucher since they need a hardcopy with your signature since there is an expiration date. The owner was nice to offer a substitute voucher even though I had one already. The ice cream itself melts in your mouth after a few seconds as a solid ice ball. It's like eating creamy dry ice, which is a very unusual yet satisfying experience. Eventually, the ice cream does melt but it takes at least half an hour so no need to worry about any mess. I would definitely come back and try more flavors if there was a location nearby since this Arcadia location is a bit far away.

This store is located inside the Santa Anita mall. The store has been around for years but I don't know...just trying it now. I used to think ice cream in the form of tiny tiny dots likely wouldn't be decadent enough to hit the spot. Boy was I wrong! Got a float. Soda poured on the bottom and dots poured on top. It was root beer soda. Not all the soda filled the cup so he also gave the can :) Then cookies n cream dots. It was delicious! I have been missing out all these years.

At the Westfield mall we saw a Dippin Dots store my wife love the their Dippin Dots, we went in and order two root beer floats with Vanilla Dippin Dots. The Root Beer they use is A&W good root beer. I couldn't wait including my wife she was drewing for the root beer float. I never though adding Root Beer in the dippin dots add a different taste and texture that's blow my mind away including my wife I think she felt in love it. I was wondering if you add Coke that's need to be explore and what other sodas you can to dippin dots. .

You know you've always wanted to try these Dots when you seen them at fairs and amusement parks - but never wanted to over pay for this weird "ice cream of the future" stuff that you weren't sure you'd even like. Well, now you can get it, and even taste test it, at the mall. The retail associate was super friendly and offered tastes of any number of the flavors. While the caramel version was very subtle, the cookies 'n cream version was quite interesting (so much so I went back to get a small cup). These Dots have an interesting texture and are definitely super cold. Try 'em.

The flavors are genuine and authentic, with none of that artificial taste. It is definitely not your average menu. They open at 7PM, so it's a great evening treat. Also, indoor seating is minimal, so it's more of a grab-and-go or eat in the parking lot. Portions & Customization: I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size; even the "kid size" is a good amount. I also love that they allow you to split 1 serving into 2 different flavors, which is perfect for trying new things. As for the flavors, we tried the Vietnamese Coffee & Yakult. I have to say, the bitter coffee & tangy yogurt was an unpleasant combo! Next visit, I'll be a bit more strategic: I'll pair the Coffee with Condensed Milk, and the Yakult with Mango or another fruit. Overall, it's a fun spot and I'll definitely return.

The unfortunate part is that the ice cream really isn't that good, and the portions are small for what you pay.  What really turned me off, though, was the lack of common sense from the staff. If you've been here, you know they have a display case with slices of cake and pie. Normally you look through the case and point to the piece you want. That's exactly what I did. There were about ten pieces of cake in the case, and I picked one that had the perfect icing-to-cake ratio. The employee asked what I wanted, and when I pointed to the slice she told me, "You can only pick from these two," while holding up two other pieces. Apparently those were the older slices that they were trying to get rid of. They were clearly smaller and, judging by how they were being pushed, probably not the freshest either. Since I was basically being forced to buy something I didn't want, I said I didn't want anything. She just said "okay" and moved on to help the rest of my family. At that point I told my family we were leaving and heading to Bloomfield Creamery in Altadena instead. The employee had every opportunity to use a little common sense and simply give me the slice I asked for. I work hard for my money, and if I'm paying premium prices, I expect to choose what I'm buying. Instead, they lost Madre family of customers for good.

I tried the lychee and matcha soft serve flavors, and ended up getting the matcha flavor. Those flavors were good, the lychee and matcha were pungent. But the texture of the soft serve wasn't my favorite. The texture wasn't my favorite, it was more of an icy texture as oppose to a creamy silky texture which I would have preferred. I usually like the Oreo topping on my soft serve since it gives it a crunch, but it just didn't taste that good after a few bites. This soft serve was also a bit pricey, it was around $7 for the soft serve and topping, which was a bit disappointing since it wasn't that great. My friend also got their crunchy nut ice cream and didn't like it. I wish I liked this place more since they have Asian flavors but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. We honestly wished it was closed when we tried it this evening. Water based soft served. This is a sorbet not soft serve with dairy. A Sorbet. It wasn't even soft served with creaminess. I don't know how to describe it honestly. The charcoal is citrusy flavored. We got it with a waffle cone that was already leaking in the bottom when the employee handed it to us. Hence why my significant other has napkins on the bottom of the cone. (See photo below) The charcoal is like it's almost as if they put the mixed fruity flavor in the machine but mixed with charcoal powder. The blue cookie. Where is the cookie? WHERE. IS. IT?! Again, another water based almost icy "soft served" that's not soft what so ever. I got it with the bubble waffle and Frosted Flakes as the topping. Did I mention that both the charcoal "soft served" with waffle cone and blue cookie "soft served" with a bubble waffle and Frosted Flakes topping was $21 (we tipped also to help support small businesses but sheesh) as much as I love dessert we didn't finish either of these so called treats because it just wasn't good or what others would say, "it wasn't the vibe." The server was nice she let us try different flavors but we tasted coconut in the choconut ice cream flavor and she said it was hazelnut. Boyfriend and I literally took out pieces of coconut from our taster to prove to each other that there was coconut. Again it wasn't creamy ice cream either. Lack luster ice cream. There's a better ice cream place down the road that's always a line on the weekends.

The price is good for amount you get. The bad: the store was extremely cramped and hot. It's a very tiny shop so easily felt packed inside. I was annoyed when they called my order but I was struggling to get through the shop to get my order. By that time the employee had walked away. I was annoyed because when she came back she completely ignored me and handed someone else their order and walked away. I don't understand why they keep the completed orders way behind the counter if they don't even verify the correct person is picking up... after being skipped over twice I finally cut in and interrupted the other employee for my order and she was like oh... sorry it's melted. Like yeah it's been sitting there and I didn't want to go into the employee area to get it! That was really irritating. The ube flavor was bland. It tasted like milk, I did not get any ube flavor. The custard in the taiyaki was just okay. The worst part was that the taiyaki had a really off putting taste on the outside... almost like the aftertaste of margarine or something, it bothered me. Overall the flavor and service was lacking and the experience inside was not good. I was not impressed by any aspect and would not recommend this place unless you were already dining in this plaza and wanted to just walk over.
