When you need a plumber, you usually need them immediately. Went in my garage and found water all over the floor from a leak in my hot water relief pressure tank. I was surprised as the water heater is only a couple years old. Turns out the Home Depot contractor that replaced the water heater did not change the pressure relief tank. Sloppy work by the HD chosen plumber. Looked on Yelp for the highest rated plumber and found the Dirty Plumber was it. Called and spoke to the office person and explained my issue. He transferred me directly to the technician who asked more specific questions so he could pick up the right size relief tank. He said he would be over in a few hours. Called me back in about an hour and said he was on his way. Replaced the relief tank in short order and provided a detail invoice at a reasonable price. These guys are the best! read more

We discovered a leak and contacted a plumber, but Dirty Plumber was able to come three days earlier. Scheduling was easy since Jack (owner) was so responsive and efficient. He gave me a 2-hour window of when they would come and called again on the day to tell me Keaton was on his way. He arrived within 10 minutes. Keaton was very thorough in locating the cause of our leak, checking the roof, garage, and crawl space. He was careful to do the least amount of demolition to find the problem. He explained the work at each step and fixed the leak efficiently. Keaton went a step further and installed some steel plates to protect our water pipes from future construction projects and even helped us relabel our breaker box for the water heater. When he ran the kitchen sink to make sure that everything was running smoothly after turning the water back on, I was again comforted by the thoroughness of his work. This was all done with a calm, clear, and professional manner. I was impressed by how quickly everything was done. The price was more than fair. Imagine this... adult weekend planned, kind of a staycation... you wake up Friday morning to pick up company from the airport, only to have no hot water and discover your expansion tank has been spraying the entire garage - all night long. I called 4 different plumbers and the Dirty Plumber is the only one to give me the time of day. Before he could even tell me whether he could come look at it, he walked me through turning the water off to the water heater, turning off the water heater until it could be repaired. Yes, you read that correctly, the first 3 people I had talked to just instantly said "its Friday morning, we have no one, sorry k bye". Our sprinkler system main valve busted which necessitated us going without water. We actually waited for a plumber we liked and trusted for the better part of a week with no water. Total mistake. -The Last Guy: kept feeling me out for how much he could charge me with no real price structure or even upfront pricing on supplies. Then charged the max he thought he could get away with. -These Guys: have a standard hourly rate and will tell you prices on items before they are used. -The Last Guy: was vague about the issues and then charged me for items that were not even used. -These Guys: told me it was impossible for him to have installed such items and then explained why the item he actually installed was not to code. -The Last Guy: clogged my entire house's water system with mud and debris, then took no responsibility for it claiming he was only hired to replace a single valve and had no other responsibilities after that...even though his "repair" caused the debris issue and he claimed that he "stood by his work with a 1 year guarantee"...just words apparently. - These Guys: were upfront, on time, polite and diligent. They repaired all the issues caused by the last guy and at half the price. I guess that's what work ethic and integrity looks like. We noticed a hummimg and vibration in the floor when we would flush the toilets and run the washing machine and dishwasher. The Dirty Plumber was contacted Monday morning and they were at our home the following morning. Laz was punctual to the scheduled service time and the problem was quickly diagnosed. He explained the issue throughly before fixing it. Turns out the water pressure was low and the PRV needed an adjustment. Called for an estimate as my home warranty authorized to have the water heater fixed or replaced. When technician came out he said, "well what do you want ? Repair or replace ? It can be repaired but we can write it up either way if your home warranty is paying for it. Tech called Jack on speaker and his words were " go ahead and fix it, she has to pay us anyway and deal with the warranty reimbursement on her own but we still get paid" I wasn't ok with that ... called home warranty and was on hold, after being told by the tech they charge $118 an hour even while I'm on the phone, I decided to hang up. He said I was also being charged for the time he called his supplier and boss regarding situation. I decided to stop the call, and pay him his hourly rate of $118. As I gave him the check he said the total was $123 as there is a $5 fuel charge as well. Total scam... Free estimate turned into $123.00, most expensive free estimate.... And $5 for a fuel charge? Give me a break !!!! Jack, I received your reply and the info you are referring to is not all correct. You did not tell me there was a $118 hr charge in the beginning as I would have moved on to other companies. He was not here even close to an hour, and what's the deal with the insulting $5 gas fee ? The drain valve on my water heater started dripping so after reading these mostly positive reviews, I decided to give em a try. To be fair, Jack did good work and replaced the valve with a brass unit and flushed the water heater. It was after I paid him that I noticed he overcharged me by $10. I called him right away to let him know. Said he'd send me a check. A week later, no check so I called again. Said he'd been busy and will send it out right away. Week later, nothing. So I decided to use the form on the website. No response. Also on the site it states first time customers get a special rate of $78/hr instead of $118/hr. Too bad I was never offered the special rate. A business that will not refund a customer for overcharging has no integrity, not to mention not offering the first time rate stated on their site. It's only $10, but it's about the integrity of the company. Won't be using them again. read more

I guess I will have to continue the plumber love fest here! We heeded to have a faucet installed in our sink and Jack was recommended to us by the guys at Western Nevada Supply. They totally steered us in the right direction. He called us, set up a two hour time window to come to our condo and was there on time. WooHoo! He installed the faucet and provided the extra parts that were needed to actually hook the thing up to the water source. Woo Hoo!
