As a couple other reviewers said- be wary of what they tell you you "need"! Went to my typical, trusted, mechanic for a regular oil change and they notified me I had a slow leak in one of my tires but that otherwise all four of my tires measured at 7 for tread and looked great. Shopped around online and Discount Tire was $30 cheaper to install than my mechanic. Ordered my tire online and made an appointment to have it be installed. When I came in, the sales guy tried to tell me I needed all of my tires replaced because they had "very little" tread left on them and they were dangerous to drive with. I told him I only wanted the one tire replaced as planned. He acted very taken-aback and insulted when I declined. Later as I was waiting, overheard a technician tell another customer that his tires were at 7 tread and that they "looked great and would be good for another 10-15k miles". Super annoying that they tried to take advantage of me and up-sell. Not impressed with the front of house staff. My car was done in 45 minutes with my appointment. The waiting area/lobby is totally barebones- not even TVs, magazines, or a coffeemaker. read more

We've bought tires for two vehicles at Discount Tire for several decades. Those on our old car have been serviced in Carmel Indiana many times. We have been treated good there each time with the exception of today. This time a young employee was very argumentative and disrespectful. He repeatedly refused to honor their road hazard warranty on the tires. They're top-of-line Michelin tires with only about 30,000 miles on them. When I was finally able to get to the manager he overruled the employee. The employee wasn't happy and continued making disrespectful remarks. This was extremely immature, inappropriate, and unprofessional behavior. Issue was age of the tires but they're still within their warranty guidelines. I shouldn't of had to argue with them just to get a small nail hole repaired. read more

Arrived as a walk in with a flat tire on the rim around 9am. Was greeted immediately, and after a very short wait was able to have a consult and guarantee that the tire would be fixed the same day. Received a text that my car was good to go at 2pm. Went in fully prepared to spend at least $100, and was pleasantly surprised to be provided with my keys and a handshake with nothing owed. Customer service is obviously not a priority for the folks here at Discount Tire. Initially, when I called to ensure they were going to be able to meet my schedule, I was told that the tires were going to need to be ordered. They said they would be able to get the tires the next day and install them Friday, which was exactly the plan that I was hoping for. I showed up to drop my truck off as soon as the doors were unlocked and they said the tires had not arrived. I said, no worries as long as you can have it done before close (which is 6pm), they assured me it would be no problem and they would call me if something should change. As my day unfolded, I found I was going to be done earlier than expected so I wanted to check on the progress in case my truck was also done early. When I called they said the tires had just arrived and the truck would be done by 6 still and they'd call as soon as it was done. I arranged for a ride home and 5:15pm rolled around so I called back to make sure everything was good to go. The guy on the phone said, yes, so I headed to pick up. When I pulled up, at 5:48, I saw my truck sitting where I had dropped it off that morning. I knew right then it wasn't going to be a good night. The guy at the desk said it should be done in about 45 minutes if I'm lucky, well past 6:00pm as promised. I understand things get backed up, my issue is being lied to every time I called in for an update. This whole rating and review could've been completely different had they given me a realistic update of the situation and told me that it wouldn't have been ready for pick up until the next morning. Instead, I drove all the way to the shop, change my family dinner plans, and sit around and wait for it to be completed. The people I interacted with were nice, but unfortunately that won't override honesty and transparency. To top it off, the front tires are rubbing when I conduct a full turn. By far not a great experience. read more

Not very happy with the service I got here. My tire pressure light had been coming on continually so I brought my car in. In the past I've had issues with slow leaks in my tires due to corrosion. I brought my car in twice and both times asked them to check this because I thought it was the issue. The first time they only had my car for 20 minutes and told me nothing was wrong and it was normal for the pressure light to come on multiple times a month. I brought my car in a second time a few weeks later and again told them what I thought the issue was. They again didn't check on this and told me I just needed a new pressure sensor, so I bought one ($60). I had to bring my car in a THIRD in a matter of 2 months for them to finally check on what I asked.... lo and behold, corrosion was the issue and I've had no issues since. Mind you the third time I went to the Noblesville location since the Westfield location had been so unhelpful. I realize they're supposed to be the "experts" but they should do a better job of listening to their customers rather than brushing off what they say. I had to take time out of my day and life SO many times to fill up my tires or bring my car in again to get it checked, when this could have easily been fixed the first time. read more

They repaired the tire, put it on the car, removed the spare, fixed a broken stem valve on the spare and reinstalled the spare in its place under the car. Total cost? $0. That's right. This location has horrible customer service. I was recommended to bring my vehicle to the Carmel location by an emergency road service company, who said that location has good staff that would take good care of my car. Upon my arrival, I stood at one of the terminals and no one acknowledged my presence. I asked a young man who was mopping the floor was there anyone who was working and he said other people were being helped. I figured I would wait since they were busy. Three employees walked to those three empty customer service terminals and not one person asked me had I been helped. I stood in front of a person who did an exceptional job of ignoring me and walked away without saying a word to me. Was told about discount tire from another auto body shop. Made an appt for four new tires and told them I would be coming with my two kids, so hopefully it would be a quick appt. We got there and they took care of us in less than half an hour. They were very nice and got me a great price on a set of Yokahama tires. Be leery of this place, and be an educated consumer, or they will take advantage of you. Go elsewhere if you can. I had a nail in 1 tire and needed it replaced, and they tried to take advantage of me and the sales assoc told me I "had" to have all 4 tires replaced. I spoke with the store manager, and he said he would replace the 1 tire if that's all I wanted. Don't trust them. Also, despite what other reviews are saying about tire warranty, don't do it. It's a scam. Usually when 1 tire goes bad and you try to use your warranty on the 1 bad tire, they will tell you that you can't just replace the 1 tire because the tread wear on the other 3 tires are different. read more

let me tell you about my evening.....I will never again grace the doors of discount tire. On my way home from this evening I got a flat tire. Thankfully it was right t at the exit on 31 and 151st street where there is a discount tire. I first pulled into the gas station to see if I could put air in the tire to find that my valve stem was rotten and was leaking air. So I went over to discount tire to see if they could possibly quickly put a valve stem in (knowing they probably wouldn't). As I figured I was met with a No Which was fine. So I went back out to the parking lot to put the spare tire on only to find the car does not have the spare tire tools or the jack in it.......Anyways I go back in and ask the gentleman If I can borrow a jack and impact/19mm socket so I can get my spare tire on. Once again I am met with a no and was told this Is for safety reasons and they cannot do that. I then relay to them that I am a former mechanic and fully know what I am doing. Once again I am met with a no......ok.....I then nicely ask if one of THEM can use a jack and an impact to put my spare tire on just so I can make it home. Once again I am met with a solid no. Now keep in mind what I am asking them to do as I already have the spare tire out sitting against/next to the car would take somebody five minutes at the most to do and I was willing to wait till someone had a chance to do this as they were all working on waiting customers cars. Needless to say that was also a NO......... So I had to call my aunt and uncle to come get me so I could go to their house and get a jack a breaker bar with proper socket to change my tire. In discount tires parking lot. Upon my return using my uncles Jack and proper handtools it took me 4 minutes and 30 seconds. (Yes I timed it ) WITH HAND TOOLS not air tools. Why somebody at discount tire could not do that is beyond me. So I got my problem fixed myself just so I could make it home....Now lastly Let's also keep in mind over probably the last 15 years and 4 vehicles I own I have probably spent well over $5000 in this location. I will never again do business with discount tire as they have show me they have no regard for customer service And are obviously only looking to make a tire sales and take your money. read more

Yesterday my friends and I played in a golf outing at the Kokomo Country Club and were in the tornado that damaged much of the city. Included in that was damage my rear tire on my 2016 Ford Explorer. We put the temporary tire on and were headed back toward Indianapolis looking for a place to get a new tire. We called Discount Tire and Xu and Travis waited on us at 6:00 (their normal closing time) and got us fixed up with a new tire, put the spare away and had us on the road in under 30 minutes. I want to thank them for their going above and beyond and helping us to get back to southeastern Indiana.
