Horrible service I wanted four tires took 30 minutes for some air with no one in line

Seems like no matter what I come in for it's a 2 hr wait . My suggestion is to have someone drop you off & bring you back .

Yesterday I got the alert as I was driving to work that my left rear tire was low. I checked and my RT rear tire was 36 but my left rear tire was 23. After work, I slowly drove it to this Discount Tire location. It's not the closest one to our home but since our tires were serviced at this chain, I knew they'd have our record on file in their system. It was busy and at least four people were waiting in their lobby but Johnny was very friendly and let me know that it'd likely be another 45 minutes minimum until they could see my car since I was a walk-in. I made the decision to drive to the closer Discount Tires closest to my home recognizing it'd be a wait. Johnny insisted before I leave that he at least fill my low tire to before I left since the tire pressure was dangerously low. I appreciate that he offered to do that. I was able to get my tire fixed (ended up finding out a nail was in it) from the Discount Tire closer to our home, but grateful that he was able to help me at a time when they were very busy. read more

I am really good at hitting curbs. In fact, I almost never miss one. On Friday night, I hit a familiar one. This time I hit it a bit harder than I usually do (don't text and drive) and I blew a tire. My poor tire, bought brand new just one year ago, was demolished. So Saturday morning, my neighbor helped me switch it out for my spare (which was also in bad shape) and I headed to Discount Tire. I have been to this location twice now, and both times have been highly satisfactory. They are friendly, helpful and never too busy to help. I have visited other tire places in the area, but will not be returning to them again. Discount Tire has made my life easier. In about 40 minutes they replaced my front tire and spare. I'm writing this review for my mom who just had her tire fixed here. I can't say enough good things about the service in general, but also the kindness and helpfulness of Johnny (sr assistant manager)! Her tire nearly blew out getting off the highway and got to discount tire just after closing. Johnny opened the shop back up and had my mom back out on the road in 20 minutes. I've never been to a Discount Tire under happy circumstances. Usually, I'm in desperate need of a replacement tire and I need it fast. Not the best situation, clearly, but I'm quite impressed with this location. I made my appointment online that morning after I had a blowout on the highway on my way to work. Super start to a super day! As soon as I arrived, one of the workers grabbed my keys & went to assess the damage. I was hoping I could get away with just fixing the tire I had, but alas, my luck was not as such. Fortunately, this store had a comparable tire for much cheaper than it would have been elsewhere. And it came with a warranty so that if I run into this issue again, they'll fix / replace it for free, yay! They slapped that puppy on there & I was ready to roll again. All the staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. From the time I arrived until the time I drove outta there was less than an hour, which was a life saver really. I figured I'd be stuck there most of the night and/or be forced to drive on my spare for another day. Hopefully I won't have to visit DT anytime soon, but it's good to know they're there just in case! read more

Worst service ever! Just moved to the area and I got a flat tire while I was running errands. I pulled up and saw there was a nail I pointed it out to the guy that finally helped me and he said he would call to let me know if I need a plug or a new tire. The nail was not on the side and my car is 3 months old with brand new tires so I did not need a new tire. 3 hours later!!! I finally called and they said oh your car is ready just needed a plug. I went back a week later because my tire light came on and went for the free air pressure test. After 30 minutes of waiting and watching the workers sit around and talk I left. I've been to other store locations and never had an issue but this store needs new management I will never go back! read more

Scheduling an appointment with Discount Tire is a joke!! I scheduled an appointment, arrived early for the appointment. It was 30 minutes later and my car was then next. What is the reason for making an appointment to only find out that you are not treated any differently than the walk-ins? If your customers take the time and make an appointment with your business, you should at least attempt to sync your operations and the scheduler. This schedule system worked for a co-worker and he swore it would work for me today. Therefore, I left my office feeling confident that I would be out fairly quickly. I will continue to be a walk-in...seems like service is much faster using this option. read more

I went somewhere else to get my tire replaced, but needed a new rim so I came here. I found out I was sold a really old tire from that other place and the gentleman explained how to find the year the tire was made on the outside of the tire itself. They did a fantastic job replacing my tire rim! I appreciated their thorough explanations and they even helped me solve a tire-balance issue I had having. Tires were in stock and when I came in for my appointment it was less than 45 minutes total until they were done and I got a chance to break in the new rubber ;) Shay was up beat, professional and super friendly. Even when I was waiting for my car to get done, he greeted each customer who came in. I want to be that happy at my job! I bought tires at another Discount Tires two years ago for my old Honda, and I got a screw in my tires three times within a year,and they fixed it every time FREE. I drive a Subaru now, and it has the tires I bought with it, and I took it to Discount Tire because I got another screw in my tire, and they fixed it. And it was again FREE. I double checked to make sure there was no mistake, so the least I can do is write them up on Yelp. The really do fix tires no questions asked! I went there with a tire that I had for 4 months that had a leak due to running over something. According to their receipt they would patch it for free. As soon as I told the guy he talked about replacing the tire and not pitching it the entire time. He said they would "try" to fix it but if they can't to replace it. I have had this issue in the past and went to other discount tires and they have fixed it for free and were very helpful. But not at this one they were all about selling another tire. And of course they couldn't fix it and I had to buy another tire. I wasn't shocked since that is all the sales guy kept saying. To bad for them I was about to buy 2 other tires. Took my car to the Trinity Mills location to get a nail removed. An employee that works inside looked at my tire and told me to come back in the morning a day or two later to get it fixed and that it would not be an issue. I showed up on the day agreed upon and they took my car. After a few minutes they came back and said the tread was too low to remove a nail so I had to buy $500 tires( 2 tires). When said NO they told me they wouldn't give me my keys back! These guys were trying to hold my car ransom! That is an old school dirty mechanic trick where they say they aren't allowed to give back unsafe cars. That's a lie and it's illegal (felony theft). I argued with the same guy who told me to bring the car in in the first place. Got my keys back from that clownshoe. Unbelievable! Worst prices in the metroplex. Took my car to downtown dallas and got the tire plugged in 10 mintues. Thinking about reporting this to the BBB and the police! read more

They tell you thirty minutes when you take it in but make you wait an hour and a half before they work on it. Two hours later you get your car back. They keep telling you your next . Same story they tell everyone else. They wasted about six hours of time combined just with the people I was waiting with. Will only use this place in the future when I can just drop the car off and avoid the waits. Tires are good and cheap as they come. read more

Went to get my air pressure checked. Pulled into the designated area and no one was around. After a few minutes I tapped the horn thinking maybe no one saw me. Still nothing. A few minutes more I saw some guys doing their thing. I tapped the horn again. They looked at me, turned around and went the other way. I waited another couple minutes before giving up and driving off. I buy all my tires at Discount Tire, and I've never been willingly ignored before. Slowest Discount Tire in the history of discount tire stores I know this is not how most are this one has a incompetent slow staff!!! Almost no cars in the parking lot empty bays and they take 1 to 2 hours to do a simple rotate and balance on tires bought from them!! Sad!!! Came on Saturday to get new tires but it was close to closing time. I still expected great service because they provided that with my Pontiac Grand Prix. Not this time! As the service technician pulled my car out of the bay, I noticed a nail in my front tire. They pulled the car back and assured me that it wasn't leaking and I was good. As soon as I pull off the car starts making a crazy amount of noise. But of course their already closed for business as well as Sunday. I brought it back the next business day. They pull my car into the bay and check my tires and they find 2 more nails. This should've been noticed during the initial rotation and no one gave me recommendations. So now I have to spend more time to get new tires because they were to lazy to notice the issues on Saturday evening. These guys are good but try to avoid being the last customer on a Saturday evening. read more

I've been as low on the totem pole as a shop helper and as high as a shop owner. The last 15 years I have been a diagnostic equipment specialist working with literally 100s of shops across several states. So I've been a first hand witness to the operations of many many shops. So what I am about to say, is in no way to be taken lightly. What I witness today when I took my truck in for new tires, was a business that was as professionally and efficiently run as I've ever seen. The service provided not only to me, but to other customers was top tier level. And the speed at which service completed went well beyond my expectations. Exceptionally clean customer and employee work environment. I'm not easily impressed, but this shop gets a 2 thumbs up. read more

Wonderful service! I stopped by near closing one evening needing a tire check due to the cold weather. They explained that the tire check service usually ends at 5:30. I started to drive away and they stopped me and offered to do it for me anyway. Very nice people and service. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they told us our job would take 45 mins, but ended up taking 60 mins.
