They take good care of repeat customers. I've been going to Discount Tire for many years and have bought tires for a few different vehicles. Of course, they offer good deals on tires but I like them because they take care of me and the family when we need small services done. I got an SUV recently and noticed a wobble when driving highway speeds, I knew I needed to have the tires balanced and they took care of it for free, and did a tire rotation also. They finished it really fast on a busy day during the holidays, which was impressive. I appreciate the effort and wanted to give you guys some props. My SUV rides nice and smooth now. Thanks again! If you buy tires here they also do other nice things like fix/patch flats at no charge. Which is why I'll keep going here in the future. Hard to get excited while getting new "shoes" for your car. However, should you have to get tires --- this is the place to go!!! Not one person was crabby, all seemed to want to help you, get your vehicle in and out, without delay. I needed to 'order' tires, as my vehicle had 'after market' tires. I'd only asked them to get me two (trying to save some dollars) however, after looking at my current tires, it was recommended I replace all four, with a good explanation. I took my car in the morning of Friday August 24th for a nail in my tire. I asked to wither fix the tire or replace it. I was told I would be called if they can't fix it to give authorization to replace the tire. 3pm rolls around and no phone call so I call then and in told my car is ready. They never charged me saying it was fixed and they hope I choose them when I'm looking for new tires. I wake up in the morning Sunday to my tire flat and would you look at that, theres still a nail in my tire. For the past 2 days I have been driving my family around in an unsafe car, thankfully, nothing happened.. but what if it did? What if my tire popped and I lost control of my car and caused bodily injury to other people or my family. I will never do business with this company again and I will advise everyone i know to never do business with them again. read more

I was the typical customer you don't want to see on a Friday evening right before close....however I was desperate. I call ahead, 10 minutes before they close pleading my case for them not to lock me out when I get there. They assured me they would be open and it wouldn't be a problem. I get to the store, bring out my tire and they diagnose the problem in under 2 minutes, showing me where the leakage was (thankfully from the tire and not the result of a bent rim) and told me that although they do not carry the exact tire I have (it was discontinued) they have the newer version and could put it on for me right now!! Great service! My Jeep had an issue with keeping air in one of the tires (I figured I ran over something). I first took it to the dealer that I originally got the Jeep from to visit their service department, but THEY tried to schedule me an appointment a week out, and said if it's a punctured tire, it would cost me $30-$40 to patch it back up after a 3 day review of the car. Ok first off I am two years late on writing this review. Two years ago I was out of work and went in to get a tire fixed. I found out at the time that my tire was bad and also another tire on the car was bad. Again I was out of work. The manager was so understanding and didn't want me to leave the lot with bad tires. He asked when I could afford the tires and I said at the end of January. He said how about letting me out the tires on your car today and you can pay me in February. Then proceeded to put new tires on my car at no charge. All he asked for was a handshake. I cannot NOT say something about how great my flat tire experience was yesterday! It was busy when I arrived about 50 minutes before closing. There were 6 cars ahead of me. Service was quick! I discovered, by calling in before hand, that Discount Tire Co could plug a hole in my trailer tire for free so as long as they could fix it. So I went in as a walk-in to drop off my 13" trailer tire and then in about 40ish minutes, it was ready. I don't know if this applies to car tires as well but I would just call and ask. This trip saved me $5 from buying my own tire repair kit and plugging a hole that was instead professionally done for free. read more

Heading home from Carlsbad this week, I discovered a fully flat tire from a slow leak. Right after calling AAA for a flatbed at 4:45 pm (no spare in my car), I called the closest Discount Tire. They told me "If you are here by 6 when we close, we will take care of it. And if you can't make it by 6, give us a call." We rolled up at 5:45, and I was on my way home by 7. I am always impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of Discount Tire - I've gotten tires for all of my cars there for at least five years - but this place was exceptional. Nathan and his crew are the best! I'm visiting here from San Francisco and both my front tires on my Tesla started to give me wobble issues. Thinking it just needed a balance, found out the inner thread is starting to separate causing the wobble. At first Nathan didn't have the tires in stock for a same day install. I told him about my concern driving back to san Francisco with my family and not wanted different tires. He told me he might be able to make it happen but would need to call me back. Literally, 5 mins later he called me back and said he can make it happen and booked a same day appointment and would get me in and out in 1hr. I didn't hesitate and told him I will be there asap. I arrived at the shop and it was extremely busy. His associates took me in right away and started the install because the appointment he booked last minute. Before taking my car they covered the driver seat so it wouldn't get dirty (I have a white interior). They cautiously took my car, parked it, made sure it was in jack mode and proceeded with the install. They got me in and out within 40 minutes. Did I mention it was busy? After the rebate the price was still more than the tires I initially wanted, but I figured it was worth it. The sales associate highlighted the parts of the rebate I needed to get $75 off and stuffed the rebate in the envelope with my receipt print out. When I returned from my trip I went online typed in the info and found out the $75 rebate was invalid because it didn't start until the day after I bought the tires. I've bought a full set of tires, had rotations done, had nails, a flat, etc, and they always give me the best customer service. I got bait and switched here today. Shaun lured me in with a beat the competition price. When I arrived, I was shown an invoice for the agreed price. When the work was all done, Shaun asks me if I want a full coverage warranty. Well of course I expected that in the beat the completion price we agreed upon. I ended up spending an extra $125.00 over the agreed price which means I would have been better off going to Evans Tires in Encinitas. I really regret doing business with people that mislead me in order to get my business. Now I can only imagine they will find some way to wiggle out of their extended warranty if the need to use it should ever come up. Well this weekend While I was washing my truck I discovered that discount tires broke a good sized chip out of my aluminum rim. I know it was them because it is right next to the balance weight they removed. They dilute could have owned up to that when they did it. What a bad deal for me. read more
