Everyone got their food at my table. 40 min goes by and I asked where my food was, they said 5 min. 20 more minutes pass by and still nothing. I asked again and a guy was very rude about the situation. I asked for a refund. There were 3 other people that had to cancel their order as well for taking too long. We've stopped by here on several occasions for a fun day on the slopes and its always awesome. The beer is great, and don't sleep on the food! While we've only had appetizers (chorizo nachos, mozzarella sticks, etc) we keep hearing that all of their food options are great. Great brewery! Only a few workers- who literally worked so hard the whole time. Not super friendly but I wasn't there to make friends. Great Hazys- Good food. Just left an amazing lunch at Distant Brewing. I had the chicken Caesar salad - LOTS of chicken, Parmesan and fresh crunchy lettuce. My husband had the BBQ chicken pizza - big chucks of flavorful chicken, red onions, corn and NBQ sauce. The perfect combination of ingredients on top to still enjoy the great crust. I had the Mister Nelson IPA. A perfect blend of citrus and hops, not very bitter and very refreshing. My husband had the Nutty Professor. Also a perfect blend of peanut butter and cinnamon essence that didn't over-power the beer. Service was very quick and the ambiance was chill. A nice vibe indeed. Came here back in late June for a vacation with our two dogs, the food and beer were definitely needed after a 6.5hr drive from SF! It was definitely poppin inside, but since we had both dogs we sat ourselves in the outside eating area. SUPER dog friendly and the service was so welcoming, a few servers even came by to make sure the pups were getting enough love :) We got a few brews which were all tasty and smooth, but the flatbreads stole the show. We could NOT stop ordering more and more would absolutely make the long drive to come back here again! read more

After a day of hiking, we stopped by Distant Brewing. We got one of their Hazy IPAS, and it hit the spot. When you walk in, you order food and drinks at the bar. We got a steak salad, pretzel, and a pulled pork sandwich. All of the food was good. I especially enjoyed the pretzel. The pulled pork was more of an average quality, so I would give that a 4 star. Food was good overall - we had the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. The Mac and cheese was ok a little dry and lacked flavor. Good beer and great ambiance. Great Bar with nice atmosphere, not really an alcohol guy but went in there to retrieve a beanie my friend had left there last October. To my surprise, the bar tender kept it and questioned the colors before return it to me. I still can't believe it the level of service of this place! We were really excited to try this brewery because we read it was so dog friendly and this was our first trip to Mammoth with our pup. All the customers outside greeted our dog with pets and allowed him to sniff around - he's a pup. I breathed a sigh of relief feeling grateful for the welcoming environment. I left my doggo with my husband and went inside to order. I ordered with a male server with a dark beard who seemed irritated prior to contacting me. He impatiently listened to my order. I kept an eye outside as I saw two other dogs headed towards my husband. I heard the dogs barking at one another, but didn't think much of it as I saw all the dogs go in separate directions. None of the other customers seemed alarmed and business appeared to go on as usual for everyone except the male server who immediately stormed outside in the middle of my order without addressing me at all. Instead of approaching my husband, he yelled over five other customers for him to control our dog. He then very proudly marched back inside and boasted to his co-workers about how he told my husband off. I left before he could bring our beers to the counter. I was really disappointed given all the positive reviews for the friendly staff and dog friendly environment - our experience was the opposite. Not quite sure if the beer is tasty or not, but not willing to support this business to find out. read more

Not a ton of social distancing going on inside (which they've opened up for dining as of late June), which was a little worrisome, but aside from that our experience here was solid. We got the Buzzed Light and Amber, which were both refreshing and yummy, and enjoyed them in an isolated corner to the left of the bar facing a beautiful and colorful nature mural. Cool vibe, local biz, solid beer. Tried the hazy and the west coast IPA. Both were good. Ordered the chips and salsa which came with guacamole and pico. Do not recommend. The salsa was decent (verde), but both the guac and pico were heavily black peppered. Like heavily. Chips were those crappy round store bought ones and were served cold. Such a fun little spot, the perfect spot for spring or summer for sure. Colder days not so much, my husband and I unfortunately had to sit outside due to no room inside. We were literally the only people out there and they had no heaters going for the overflow of people so customers were just standing around inside. Not very comfortable in my opinion. Getting there: Located down the street from the pizza place. The parking lot is pretty small but I believe there might be street parking nearby. Experience: We were visiting a local friend who suggested this brewery. We walked in and it was pretty crowded so we assumed it's very popular with the locals and tourists.
