Do Not Go Here if you can help it. It's a large place, with plenty of seating and open late - therefore, they are choice for a lot of visitors since all the other places take forever to get a table and close early. No one takes call ahead seating either. It took 30 mins to get a table for 8 adults and two children. Not bad. We sat and the server-guy took our drink order, properly masked. My sister in law ordered for the littles immediately, so we could get their food ASAP. It was after 8pm and they were hungry. We ordered two pitchers of beer, and beverages. It took 10 minutes to get the drinks. Okay. Then another 10 minutes for him to come back to order food. Okay. Hopefully the kids' food would be out soon. We had beer and were happy enough. The kids' food came out 20 minutes after that, with the two fried perch dinners for two of the 8 adults out next. No one else got food for another 45 minutes. The appetizers I ordered came out with the dinners. Ridiculous. There was a balloon man that works for tips to make kids balloon characters. It was a nice distraction for them while waiting for food. The guy is really good and deserves good tips. The Food: firecrackers were not as described. They are eggrolls with jalapeno flavor, not rangoon. Rangoon are folded into stars or triangle and are personal size, maybe two bites; not to be cut and shared. These were big thick messy eggrolls and only 4 pieces. The pretzel bites were really hot with great beer cheese dip. The meatloaf is no joke, piled high, a large portion, and tasty. The whitefish was hot and fresh. I ordered it cajun with a loaded baked potato - which was undercooked. Apparently, their version of loaded is to throw a lot of cheese on top. Nothing else. One meal was ordered with an upgrade to onion rings instead of fries. He brought and charged us for a basket of rings, instead of swapping out the fries. We ordered another pitcher for the table and had to remind him that we ordered it a while ago. Also had to ask twice for silverware. After the server's first visit to the table the mask was never on his face again, always under his chin. Serving our food, and drinks. Food is good - service and kitchen management is awful. I hope they can fix it. We spent 3 hours and a $300+ in this place. I really expected better service. We still tipped him well but won't be back. read more

Don't do it. Don't. Just don't. This place is terrible. Awful. Atrocious. The host/hostess had no organization, our waiter couldn't understand what we were saying, and only half of our food came out. We had to chase another waiter down after 20+ minutes of waiting half of our orders. The food was bland, you get better flavor and presentation at McDonald's. my mom paid the bill with cash, and the waiter never brought out her change, just assumed that it was a tip... When we arrived, we asked the Russian hostess for a booth. She sat us at a table next to the booth. Ok, probably a language barrier thing. Then we ordered a steak medium rare. They brought a well done steak that was more tough than Michael Jordan's pinky toe after a playoff game. The waitress knew it was supposed to be medium rare and took it back to the kitchen. After my wife had finished her dinner, the waitress came back with a steak that had been only walked through the kitchen. It was purple inside. The waitress got the manager and the manager said she's not a cook. I asked who's in charge of the cooks, and she said she was. I told her she failed and to take the steak dinner off the bill and keep the raw slab of meat she brought out. I'm baffled how a restaurant owner thinks this sub par service AND having to throw food away that could make money because of incompetence gets by. We went here knowing it was super busy on a Friday night, food took awhile that that was alright. burger was 4.5/5 and Mac n cheese was pretty dense 2.5/5 big portions I probably at 1/3 of the food not even. we got fried pickles and those were kinda bad.. I just wanted ranch with it not a special sauce it came with that was sweet. our drinks never got filled.. we were there for almost 2 hours. The worst part is that the bar tender and multiple servers were fighting, we wernt even sitting in the bar section but close, and could hear them almost scream fighting it was a disturbing scene and wreaked our dinner. The service was good! I got the white fish sandwich and that was good too. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich which was also good. They both came with chips. However, you never knew if it was going to be a crunchy chip or a soggy chip. Mine was on special and it said it came with fries on the sign but I got the soggy chips. Really pissed me off when I'm walking out of the restaurant and it said the fish sandwich came with fries. The building I'm sure was beautiful at one point. Now, they allow people to mark up their knotty pine and write all over it, which ruined the ambience for me. It was pretty expensive for what you got. They charge a 3% sustainability fee -what is that? Plus $5 plate sharing fee. For two sandwiches with soggy chips and one beer the bill came to $42 without tip. Stopped in for lunch with my folks and my children. In Mackinaw City this summer it's difficult finding open places to go. Almost half the restaurant in town are closed permanently or packed beyond belief. Dixie Saloon is on the corner of town. Though it was full, we only had to wait a short time to be seated. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food, the staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was clean. A fun side note; bring a permanent marker, they let you write graffiti on the walls. read more

I've been here a few times over the years and it's been about 5 years since the last time. I suggested it to the people I was with and we went. It took a while to get our food. The food was priced a little higher so we expected good hand made food. What we got was frozen particle fuzed chicken strips and fried fish with ZERO seasoning...blandest fish I've had with some tarter sauce packets and it was over $20. This place is a great place to stop when you are in Mackinaw City. It is located right downtown. The place is clean and has a lodge like feel. Our server was wonderful. I'm still upset we wasted a vacation meal on this place. It's an overpriced tourist trap of a restaurant. You could tell the food was very cheaply put together but incredibly overpriced. We spent $84 for a basket of chips and cheese, a side of french fries, chicken wings (9), a Pastrami sandwich, one tea and one $5 beer. Basically what you're paying for here is atmosphere and location. I wouldn't do it again and obviously it left a negative impression if I'm still stewing about it three days later. The place was cool and clean, with a great ambience of a large cabin feel. I had the bison ribeye and it was actually so tender I pulled it apart with my fork. Had a Bloody Mary that was tasty except for the dill pickle spear shoved in it. Never had that before. The waiter sounded French and was energetic and friendly. He screwed up my wife's drink order and forgot my gravy for my mash potatoes....he did bring me a fresh bowl of potatoes and a bowl of gravy with an apology near the end of my meal. All was forgiven. We got some jalepeno cheese appetizer that was good (lots of cheese, chopped jalepeno, and some fruity dipping sauce) and I had a BBQ bacon cheeseburger. We were there last night and got seated upstairs. It was a Saturday night around 7pm and we got right in. I suppose that should have been a sign. As soon as we sat down at our table, about 7-10 fruit flies fled our table. The menu is very expensive for now inexpensive the food tastes.
