This is the first time I've written such a review. This is because I have never worked with such an unprofessional and unethical service provider. They were assigned to me through First American Home warranty. They never called me, after a week I finally got a text with an appointment window, their tech showed up and was at our home for 5 minutes and said he needed to order a part that would arrive in a couple of days. They then sent a report to First American stating there is no issue...which is absolutely not correct. They don't answer their phones, can't leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full, and don't respond to texts. STAY, STAY, STAY far away from this incompetent and unethical company. read more

Do Not Use this Service! I contracted this business through American Home Shield back on Dec. 2nd. They were supposed to come out on Wednesday, no show. so I called AHS to ask why, they tried to call and could not reach anyone in the office, so they said that they would reschedule for Thursday and that turned into Friday...well Friday no show, got a text saying the technician was sick, and would be out Saturday. No show today, got a text message 1 1/2 hours late, as I was speaking to AHS to cancel their service. This is the WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! You can't call, there is nobody to answer the phone, and you leave a message but no one calls you back. Plain out they DO NOT CARE! DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. I was assigned to work with them through my home warranty for a water heater issue. First off, they do not pick up the phone or reach out to schedule an appointment. You have to call a million times hoping someone will pick up. Then their technician arrived one hour after their given four hour window. When their technician David did show up, it seemed like we were his last stop of the day so he was in no mood to actually do his job. He stood there reading the manual for the water heater for 45 mins and was able to do nothing for us. Did not even bother to open up the water heater to confirm the issue and just stood there wasting time. Honestly this was an extremely shitty experience so do not work with these people unless you want to have your time wasted. 0 stars. read more

Determined it was a burner unit. Took day and a half for tech to submit report to order part. Friday morning I FINALLY got a person on the phone at 8:45 a.m. and she said she would call back in 15 minutes. I have called them at least 10 times yeaterday with NO CALL BACK. DH Plumbing was dispatched by AHS home warranty. Let's start off by saying I was "terrified" after reading the reviews and was strongly contemplating asking AHS to select another vendor but it was too late since I didn't read the reviews until the night before. I received a call from Jennifer Thursday, 10/26 and scheduled my appt for Friday, 10/27 from 1-5pm. Isaac showed up shortly after 1pm, and quickly diagnosed the leak under my kitchen sink to be the basket strainer. The entire process to replace it took about 30 min. Prior to leaving he showed me the before and after photos what work he did. The next morning I finally got someone and they sent someone out the same day, which was helpful, but the service agent never called to give me a heads up. He showed up at the property did a quick five minute inspection and left. I told him to wait for me but he didn't. After he left, I tried calling him multiple times and no one picked up. This company has very shady business practices. Especially when dealing with them via home warranty companies such as American Home Shield. Dave, who I believe may be the owner came out to fix a simple, leaking metal faucet but was too lazy to replace the washers and decided to replace the entire faucet with a plastic one. I believe he probably took mine, rebuilt it and reused it for profit. Anyway, now just one year later the piece of **** he replaced my faucet with is now spurting out water from the base. I was told that the manufacturers only provide a 30 to 6 months warranty. How can this be? The other faucet had been in my home for decades and now you replace it with one that barely lasted a year. What a ripp off and the home warranty company is just as guilty. They work together to cover each other's negligence. If you are as unfortunate as I was, make sure you watch everything they do and don't wait to complain because that's how they will get you. All I can say is Karma will serve a very cold dish to all of them. read more

My home insurance American Homeshield hired this contractor to replace broken hose and we get no response. No one answers the phone and voicemail box is full. My insurance emailed and took days for response. It took 3 weeks from time of diagnosis to repair my leaking hose. Poor customer service therefore i rate unreliable. Job was okay. read more

So clear why they have such a terrible rating. Unprofessional and shoddy. They never and I mean NEVER answer the phone, and the voice mail is always full. They don't respond to texts either. They miss appointments, just don't show up!! No explanation, no excuse, just a simple FU. I called on 7/7 , 9:45 am to validate the appointment. No answer left message. Madenumerous follow up calls and the phone was never answered. Rude, rude, and rude! First, they rescheduled on me saying that they were running late which is understandable but annoying because now I have to stay home the whole day from 9-4 pm. Secondly, they just showed up without calling or text while I stepped out for a few minutes, so I had to ask him if he can wait a little bit while I tried to see if someone else can open the gate for him and he said OKAY, but after I called him back a few minutes later, he ghosted me. DN Plumbing first time used through my warranty company. Would not use if I was looking for a plumber on my own. Plumber was on time. When he came out he examined the items that needed to be replaced. One was the garage disposal & the other was the shower valve. Explain he did have the parts & would have to get authorization from the warranty company. Then he asked me to remove the stuff from my closet to examine the valve so he knew what he needed. I just had surgery for hernia & told him that so in the process of removing the items from the closet I hurt myself more. The plumber then didn't notify me that he wasn't coming back. So after I slowly removed the items I went out to check & he was gone. Not very good at communicating. read more

On Sunday, we suddenly didn't have hot water. We called a local plumber with 5 stars and told them we think our water heater pilot needs to be relit, but we didn't know how to do it. So they send a guy out who tries pushing the pilot button, which we had tried on our own before. In the end, he tells us (1) we need to replace the thermocouple which would cost about $385 or (2) replace the water heater which would cost about $1,300. We're in escrow so we decide to use the home warranty since it turned out to be bigger job. This guy charges us $79 to do nothing and basically tell us we need a new water heater. Monday was a holiday, so the claim was made with the home warranty on Tuesday. They send someone on a Wednesday. Perfect. Two guys come out with a bunch of tools (note - the guy from the fancy 5 star company had no tools). The guys from DN Plumbing tell us the water heater is fine and simply lights the pilot right there! They said it's a newer water heater (which it is - less than 5 years old) and that the thermocouple is perfectly fine. Within minutes, the water heater is lit and running. I feel like these companies that home warranty companies use get a bad rep, but they're actually experienced and know what they're doing. We lived 4 days without hot water when all that was needed was to light the pilot. DN Plumbing did the job and didn't try to tell us we needed a new water heater. I dropped one star because they were about 1 hour late and didn't call. Thank you DN Plumbing! read more

I got engaged with DN Plumbing via First American Home Warranty. I had a small problem with my shower faucet as it was leaking from the shower head. The plumber named Nelson came in to repair the faucet. He told me that it is a minor issue and that replacing the cartridge would solve the problem. He replaced the cartridge and asked me to turn on the water supply. But, the water was still leaking from the shower head and without doing any further diagnosis he told me that the valve that sits behind the tile needs to be replaced. At first, I was a little surprised as this reason seemed unusual. I requested him to check once more if the cartridge that he replaced was fitted properly and if he can investigate the problem a little better. But, I felt like he was in a hurry and just left telling me that I need to break the tile to make access to the valve so he can come again and replace the valve. Later, I called a local plumber and requested him if he can help cut the tile so that access to the valve is made available. The local plumber carefully cut the tile and made access to the valve. But he was of the opinion that the valve was all good and as per him, there was no need to replace the valve. Later, he requested my permission to investigate the issue and I happily granted him the permission. He gently dismantled the faucet, removed the cartridge, cleaned the inner parts of the valve, and reassembled the faucet. He asked me to turn on the water supply and to my surprise, the problem was solved! He was right, the valve was all good and the problem was in the faucet. It was just a careful installation of the cartridge and nothing else. But now, I was in unnecessary trouble. I unnecessarily broke the tile as per the advice of the DN Plumbers! I called immediately the First American Warranty and informed them about all this horrible experience that I had to deal with. But, no one cares! I never got any communication from either the First American or the contractor plumber. So cutting the long story short; the First American Warranty deployed an incompetent plumbing company who screwed my situation further by not doing the simple job carefully in the first place and secondly, giving me false advice to break my bathroom tile and land me into unwarranted expense! I regret why I bought the warranty from First American and why I logged a work request for a small problem that could have been solved by a simple but careful replacement of the cartridge. read more

Read all the negative reviews, they're all true. Sounds like they really don't care about the work they're assigned through any home warranty. If you're not using a home warranty, I'm sure the service is excellent. If you are using a home warranty and were assigned them, either ask for a different company or take the cash out and hire someone else. No need for my full story, it would just be a repeat of most other water heater related comments. I'm glad I only waited a few days to pull the trigger with someone else.
