Update: Since my last review was about the salad this update is about the same salad. The past two salads the size has decreased. I thought it was just the first one but nope this time as well. The last salad they stopped adding the rock salt on the tomatoes. My current salad I'm eating right now has zero tomatoes. I raved about their salad before but now I'm just really disappointed. Consistency was key but now there's no consistency. ---------------- My review is solely based on one entree. The Mediterranean Shrimp Salad (+ Avocados) I seriously cannot. This salad is $17+tax but it's worth every penny! EVERY PENNY! The shrimp are butterflied and deveined. No seasonings on the shrimp, because the flavor comes from the avocado dressing along with the rock salt bringing out the flavor of the tomatoes. The combination of it all literally can not make you stop eating! There was a point where once I started eating my salad, I didn't stop until 3/4 way in and my cheeks started hurting. That's when I was like okay time to breathe. Lol The shrimp are like, I don't want to say colossal shrimp, but rather it's how a shrimp is suppose to be in your salad! They're huge and they're not slumping out on it either! I've been here 3 times and every time I've gotten the same salad, I know creature of habit. Please don't yell. And the tomatoes. I seriously don't know what kind of tomatoes they use, but it's literally juicy and scrumptious that I'm drooling just writing this review. Mind you, I'm not much of a tomato person. But all they did was slice this tomato in half and sprinkle a little rock salt on it and boom. The natural flavors of the ripened tomatoes comes bursting out. And so yeah, I'd say this salad is pretty good. My little brother ordered the chicken sandwich that's fried. I'd ask him how it was, but it was gone before I even started on my salad. read more

My husband and I met 2 other couples here for a Friday. We arrived a little early and sat at the bar and enjoyed the last 30 minutes of happy hour ( which is valued everywhere in the restaurant - A PLUS) . Once our friends arrived we ordered the 1lb Angry Meatball. Yes it was really one pound and no I didn't weigh it.. but it was huge! The sauce that accompanied the meatball.. heaven sent. I live for a great tomato sauce and that was EXCELLENT. The area of the restaurant was awesome, great place to do some shopping if you're up for it before dinner. Great for guys night, girls night and/or date night. Pretty cool place for families. Next time we will bring the little one. I hate I didn't take any pictures. I was just at Doc B's at Clearfork. I am also a resident of the area who can walk to restaurant. I got a simple meal but the fries were cold. I asked for new ones and received but also got the pleasure of having to pay for the new fries. It's not the biggest deal but seems like your food should come out as ordered. I felt rushed and disappointed I had to double pay for the meal. Take as a warning for Doc B's where the focus seems on turning tables vs getting a good meal out. read more

The food was good but not good enough for the way we were treated. The server did not come out till at 15 minutes of us being seated, even though we came 20 minutes after opening so it was not very busy. And there was another table who was seated around the 15 minute after we were seated and were greeted immediately. On top of that a another table that was seated next to us waited for 10 minutes to get greeted and the management came out to apologize and offered them a free appetizer. The difference between those two tables and mine was the skin tone. read more

They have the best salad I have ever had. The Knife & Fork Cobb is unmatched. Perfectly cooked chicken with the Gold Coast vinaigrette & Cornbread like croutons soo delicious. I'm not a martini girl either but The Beverly Hills Martini is mixed to perfection every time. They do get busy quickly so I would recommend reservations, especially on the weekends. read more

We keep coming back for the house salad and grilled artichokes! The dressings are house made so you won't find the staple ranch or thousand island dressing but you will find some creamy varieties that are tasty. The salad is a delight of flavors and I'm not a crouton person but these cornbread croutons are slightly sweet and err on the softer side. Artichoke is grilled and slightly charred on the outside, perfectly olive oil drizzled and salted on the inside. We tried the baked wings and they were flavored well with the chimchuri sauce though O still found myself wanting to dip them into something creamy (the waitress came through!!!) Updating my review after coming here two more times. This place is amazing and I finally had the opportunity to try their dessert. This was one of the best desserts I've had in a really long time. The chocolate cake looked dry but it was one of the most moist cakes I've had in a very long time. It wasn't overly sweet which I really enjoyed. I am a huge fan of Oreo and I can easily say this is the best cookies and cream ice cream I have ever had! Bluebell has some tough competition. I live walking distance from this place and I swear I've been tempted to order some to go everyday on my way back from work but I fight the temptation. I can't wait to go back! read more

Well...not often I take the opportunity to update a review...but after a lack luster first visit, and then after todays lunch at Doc B's I have to say I am very impressed with the second visit!!! The guacamole and sweet potato slices were wonderful (and thats from a not-a-fan of sweet potatoes), but the winner today was the Wok Out noodle bowl with Thai Chili sauce and fresh seared tuna. ABSOLUTELY CRAVE WORTHY!!! Great atmosphere, professional service (was with a party of 10 and she didnt miss a beat or empty glass), and a cool vibe. A little in the high side budget for me but it was absolutely worth every bite. I only wish it was less louder because the ambiance there is gold! Also the selection of beer is very limited. This place has the perfect patio for eating, catching a little sun, and people watching. Also, the portions of the food are very generous and very delicious. I especially enjoyed the Brussel Sprout salad and the Crazy Beautiful cocktail. The only downside was the price. I paid about $70, before tip, for a salad and two cocktails for just myself so be prepared to pay a pretty penny. read more

First time trying this place. I was not disappointed. My friend, my boyfriend and I were going stir crazy from being at home so much. It was exactly what we needed. We got a reservation a bit earlier then we wanted but no big deal. We felt safe from Covid, plenty of space between tables and our booth had plexiglass on all sides we could be considered to close to another table. The server Laura was friendly, helpful and patient. She gave excellent recommendations. Our drinks were fantastic. I had a The Beverly Hills Martini, I loved it! My friend had (2) Crazy Beautiful. My boyfriend had a Cherry Old Fashion and a Slightly Spicy Mezcalita which was his favorite. We ordered the grilled artichoke as an appetizer. It was seasoned well but not worth the hassle or the price. My friend and I both got the Chimichurri Steak. I had mine with the Crispy Jalapeño Potatoes and she had double salad. The entire meal was delicious, cooked to perfection and seasoned so well. My boyfriend had the chicken wings with a side of the Crispy Jalapeño Potatoes. We had a manager come over and check on us she was absolutely charming and sweet. The entire vibe of this restaurant was good. I would go back again. I give this place very high praise. read more

Thursday date night. The place was buzzing but we scored a booth for two in the bar area looking at the glass enclosed kitchen. Service was excellent, aside from no menus upon arrival (we had to get up and ask for them!). We had a bottle of wine, double cut pork chop (cooked beautifully, glaze a bit sweet) and "hot" fried chicken (crunchy exterior, juicy interior, glaze was like a smoky, mustard, bbq, not Nashville hot). My son and decided to come to dinner today. I let the server know it was my birthday and my son and I wanted to sit outside. The server told me it would be a 20 minute wait for the patio. After 40 minutes of waiting, I checked with same hostess and she tried to sit us in the bar inside. I let her know that we requested outside. She said "well he just got a flurry of reservations that came in before you so it will be another 45 minutes before you can be seated outside." She could have told us this BEFORE we initially waited for 40 minutes and we would have just went to another place, no big deal. There are plenty of other places in walking distance. Food was amazing. We came here for a team dinner. The service was a little off but I believe that had to do with the new server. I don't think she had ever served before. We were left waiting to our drinks and getting our soups/salads before the appetizers. That was a little frustrating but the food was delish and others appeared to be getting served timely. I would try the Cobb salad. It had a wonderfully fried piece of chicken on the side, avocado and just the right amount of dressing. The tomato soup was fantastic. The food was okay, but the reason for the 2 stars is the horrible service. I got there with one other friend around 1pm and it took almost TWO HOURS, just to order chicken wraps and a burger. When we first got there we gave our name/number to the hostess. She said it'd be 10 minutes wait for a party of 2, which was confusing seeing as the restaurant had just cleared out post lunch rush. I figured it was a shift change for the waiters and was happy to wait at the bar, about 5 feet from the hostess stand. After about 20 minutes of not being sat, we could clearly see any people walking in the restaurant being sat immediately. I went up the hostess and she said that my name had been deleted off the list because there was no longer a wait? ...really this "explanation" made zero sense. My friend and I were the only ones asked to wait and if I hadn't asked again we'd never have been sat. So finally after being sat, the waitress came over with reasonable timing. We order arguably the simplest item on the menu, cheese burgers. Mind you at this time the restaurant is empty as it is now 2pm. She took our order at 2pm and the burgers came out at 2:45pm in a restaurant with 4/40 occupied tables total!!!! I was begging for the check just trying to leave, because who wants to wait TWO HOURS FOR A CHEESEBURGER?!?! Still the waitress could not be found, so I had to ask the bartender to please ring us up. The bartender was amazing and did a fantastic job handling all her customers. The hospitality manager who we'd had seen talking to the hostess stopped by and I explained how long we had waited. He's only response was "aww that is a really long time to wait for a burger", ... and that. Was. It. It's one thing to not be able to control every guest's timing experience, I completely understand. But too not at least be sympathetic to an extremely patient guest who you can tell just wants to leave?! Really all it takes is a kind word of acknowledgement that you'll do your best to fix the issue for the next time around. And they couldn't even do that. Not worth your time if you don't have 2 hours to kill for a burger. read more

Mixed review. The good? I come here for one thing, and one thing only. The Knife And Fork Cobb Salad. I hate salads, but let me tell you, this salad is amazing. The crispy chicken is not too oily and comes with its own yummy sauce as well. The mixed greens comes with with the Gold Coast Vinaigrette and blue cheese (I ask for them on the side), as well as the bacon, egg, avocado, and cornbread croutons... YUM! The not so good? We've tried their happy hour menu, and the taste of the food items is so-so (we've tried the oven-roasted chicken wings, cheeseburger and fries, chicken sandwich, 1/2 order of ribs). Some of the items were oversalted for our taste. We also tried the pork chop. It was overcooked, sadly. Also, depending on what time of day you come -- service is not always great. I took my husband here for his birthday, and we were disappointed in how they seated us (next to a very noisy party when there were other booths available). It also took them a while to get back to us after the food came out. There were also flies in the restaurant which is hard to prevent with the constant opening/closing of doors. Overall, it's a mixed experience. But I'd come back for that salad! read more

The first thing they brag about here is "freshly made daily". The sliding door to the outside seating mere feet from my chair that opened when anyone walked near it, made it cold & annoying because servers used this door a lot. I'd remove this table if I was the restaurant, it won't make for an enjoyable meal between weather & noise. We had a dirty tablecloth (looked like someone wiped their face w it). The white napkin, while pretty, had a stain on it, my glass had something on the inside & we hadn't even gotten our food yet. We moved to a new table. Our order was chips, salsa & guacamole. It was delicious. Get the guacamole. My husband got the special of Cajun cooked red fish w elote corn. The corn was good. The fish was just OK. A forgettable green sauce topped it & it looked awful on the fish. I got the Chicken Littles from the happy hour menu (I thought they'd be a slider sandwich like they had at KFC a million years ago). They're not, it's chicken tenders & they are super tender & delicious - a very happy surprise. The fries w them though, were too cooked for my liking & way too salty. As an apology for the dirty tablecloth, they offered dessert. We got a slice of chocolate cake to take home. It was very moist cake. Our server was very attentive & sweet. Came here on a sunny afternoon for lunch and the patio was just right spot to be. They have a good sized patio with plenty of tables however if you have a group larger than roughly 8, than be prepared to be split up. There tables are bolted down so there's no way to join tables. Doc Bs is in Shops of Clearfork. If you can't find any street parking, they have free parking garages which is always a plus! No need to mess with getting tickets or validation. YEAYUH! The prices here are a bit higher than a typical chain restaurant but hey, it's in the fancy mall! I started out with their blood mary after reading a review from the FW Weekly. Well, it was good but not right for my taste. I like mine spicy that kinda burns the back of your throat. This one was kind of sweet and slightly spicy with a heavier taste in horseradish but not overpowering. It may be good for other people but was not for me. For my entree I got the Hot Chicken which is a pretty good portion and it came with a side of fingerling potatoes. The chicken was tasty! the habanero honey glazed chicken was not too hot but just the right spicy. Texture and flavors all worked well. The potatoes were done well and the flavors were delicious. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food options. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items. read more

This is one of our new favorite restaurants in Fort Worth. In some ways it reminds me of Houston's, but a little more trendy. The bar is cool, and they have great happy hour specials. They also make a mean Manhattan. I will always and forever get at least a half a rack of ribs - they are fantastic. Sandwiches and burgers are also very good, especially the Wedge burger. The Hot Chicken is not spicy but delicious. Great place, and they are on Open Table for reservations. read more

Here is another great place for food and drinks at Clearfork. We have already been there a few times and each time has been great. On our first visit we had a group of seven and everyone was very satisified with their food. One thing I really appreciate is how well the entire staff works together as a team. Very well trained severs and staff. Oh, finally a place where people seem happy to be there as they offer a great experience. The food portions are generous and very tasty. There are some great draft beers available and the cocktails and wine selection is good. We discovered they offer happy hours as well. Lynda is amazing, we really appreciate her. first time coming here and was severely disappointed. First came in the ambiance was nice and welcoming at first... the hostess was super sweet and had a great attitude! led us to our table, while we were viewing the menu we noticed some time went by without getting a greet... i figured maybe the server was in the back doing things but no he saw us and continued to walk past us & ignore us, almost every other server that walked by just stared at us and continued walking, once the server finally came up, he had no smile on his face or a friendly vibe. He didn't introduce himself, he didn't welcome us in & he didn't ask how we were doing, he simply said "can i get you a drink?" with with a huff and puff & a VERY CLEAR ATTITUDE... jared was his name, after he got the drink order he didn't go to get the drinks but instead stood at a table and pretended like he was cleaning it for 5 minutes there were 4 glasses on the table, i am a server and i have been in the service industry for years so i understand marking a table & resetting i understand what that means which means i also know a first greet is always prioritized over a messy table, i have never felt so unwelcomed, i have heard such great things and i was really let down by his poor service, if thats the kind of people they allow to work there then i would prefer to dine somewhere else, the manager was helpful and nice and like i said the hostess was very sweet and had a great attitude but as for service.. that was a no, im not saying the restaurant has bad servers but that one in particular was very disrespectful and very rude and said very little to us but when you're working in the service industry you have to have w good positive attitude or find a new line of work, im sorry you're miserable and im sorry you had to work today but thats no excuse to project your anger onto us, we are pretty good tippers because as ive said i am in service so i understand but theres no excuse for that kind of behavior. read more

Overpriced! I paid $40 for ONE drink and ONE appetizer! and I didn't think the food or the drink was special in any way. I told the waitress that I would like to finish my drink before ordering food but that was not acceptable! Every 3 minutes she would come back to get my order so I gave up. My husband and I came on opening night for date night. We started with Martinis. They were the bomb. Nicely balanced and cold. I had a dirty vodka martini and he had a pickle martini. Really, both were good. We like the bartender. We had starters of Killer Shrimp and Housemade guacamole. The guacamole was seriously just avocado with diced red onion and sweet potato chips. The chips are great. Nice and salty. The guacamole is kinda flavorless. We asked for jalapeño and cilantro but they only had cilantro so we used that and squeezed lime on it and that helped a little. The killer shrimp was grilled shrimp in a ratatouille of mango, cucumber and watermelon. They told us it was really fresh tasting but the grill smoke was so heavy on it that it overpowered the freshness of the shrimp and ratatouille for our liking. We added some of our cilantro and that helped. For dinner my husband had the Wedge burger. It was really good! Strong blue cheese flavor was wonderful. The fries were well seasoned and craveable. I had the Hot chicken. It was temperature hot, cooked well, nice and tender and juicy. It said honey habeñero. If you're looking for a Texas hot, it is not. They had Louisiana hot sauce on the table and that helped to kick it up. This is a Chicago based restaurant they surely don't spice things up like Texas BUT I must say, what they lack in spice, they make up for in enthusiasm! The service was top notch! The people in from Chicago and Ft Lauderdale were eager for feedback and super friendly. They worked hard AND as a TEAM and I love that! I'll be back! read more

Last night was their first Friday night open, and it appeared to be going well there was a crowd at the bar enjoying food and drinks. Last nights experience started with a welcoming greeting by the hosts, followed by a rather quickly seating with it being the first Friday evening being open. Our waiter was fantastic and new the menu well and while we didn't go with his favorite dish "Mama B's Chicken Parm" the dishes we did go with did not disappoint us. I had the "No-Never™ Hot Chicken": half of a fully deboned spatchcock chicken fried and tossed in a house-made habanero honey glaze and paired with creamy coleslaw. When this dish came out, it looked terrific. While I prayed before we ate all I could smell was the habanero honey glazed aroma's coming from the chicken.
