Now, if you're looking for a nice place to sit down and enjoy them, this is not your spot, but they are great to order and take home and enjoy. You can mix flavors, HIGHLY recommend teriyaki lemon pepper, and the wings are always nicely proportion. I have been going here for over 15 years. On last Sunday my sister and I decided to go to what we call our GA Cheers where everyone knows your name. When we got there it was early because we wanted to make sure we got good seats for the game. We went to the bar got our first drink as normal and cashed out.when we went to find our seats, my sister asked the waitress was a table available. The waitress didn't seem like she wanted to be there and provided my sister with a half answer to her question. When we sat down at a table finally the waitress came over to make sure we had cash out with our drinks at the bar, my sister ensured her that we did. After the waitress just kept walking back and forth never acknowledging us as customers. After a while I went back to the bar to put our food order in bc that was the reason we came early to get what we needed before the game. After the witness never even came to ask us if we wanted water. I asked to speak with the manager, once I explained the situation to him. He took her side and never said that he would speak to her or anything, just Told us as customers even if she was being rude to us that since we ordered our food from the bar that we had to move and find somewhere else to seat, and he would watch the video. We were very disappointed about the service we received and the manager never came back to inform us if he watched the video or not.We both felt bc we were copper colored Sisters and they were Caucasian, that it was racial profile against us, and our feels was hurt bc we had never received this kind of service here. Finally decided to give this place a try. I ordered the lump crab cakes and a stuffed baked potato that was described as "huge" in the menu. Well the potato wasn't huge it was a regular, I got this at Publix potato. I'm not a regular at Doc's but I have been coming here occasionally for about the past two years. I consider it to be a decent spot to meet and mingle with people. Unlike many bars, many of the patrons and even the staff at Doc's are very friendly and open to conversation. In my many visits, I have noticed that many of the customers know and/or approach each other so this place kind of has a local "Cheers" vibe to it. I really don't drink much anymore but in the past I had a few of the beverages and the drinks were decently strong at good prices. However, I primarily come here for the food (and people watching...oh the shenanigans). I've had quite a few of the menu items such as the mozzarella sticks, shrimp burger, fried mushrooms, chicken cordon bleu, fries, and cheeseburger and I have never been disappointed. Some of the appetizers are a bit pricey, but the main entrees are OK with the larger than average portion sizes for many of the meals. Certain nights they have trivia games and bingo in which I played on one visit. I came close to winning four times with one space left each time but someone else won. Dammit lol. There's also a live band that usually plays on Friday and Saturday nights. The only reason I gave this place three stars instead of four is due to the heavy smoking inside. But I like the place enough that I will still return. People of all ages and professions come here to congregate so I feel comfortable. read more

I ate here with two dining companions the other night at the recommendation of it being a sports bar by our concierge. I can't really say that it is a sports bar but that is not their fault. They did have the braves game on all of the TVs and there were a fair number of them. We asked about getting the playoff hockey game on one of them but it never happened. I decided to start off with the garlic cheese bread, the sampler and a Busch. Normally I wouldnt drink Busch but for a buck fifty, I figured why not. The garlic cheese bread was good and ample. The sampler was decent but greasy with the fried artichokes being very good. For dinner I decided upon the buffalo chicken sandwich with the hot hot wing sauce. It wasnt anything spectacular but was good enough. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here in the future. I used to love docs but it has went downhill my boyfriend and me came to docs tonight about 9:00pm . I waiter a male with dreads came to our table with the worst energy and attitude. We should have walked away then but decided to give him a chance not a good choice. Everything he said was wrong he said they didn't have a fries lied fries past our table 5 times. He didn't have any alcohol knowledge gave me the wrong tequila. Food took literally 2 hours . We watched tables who ordered 45 minutes after us eating. We order wings and fries at 9:00pm and did not receive anything but a basket of fries until 11:00pm. The manager on duty was awkward and rude talking to me about Mexico asked us our names didn't apologize or anything . I mean terrible customers service the manager on duty was an older white guy who said he seen us often so why wouldn't you at least apologize instead of asking our names . If you asked us our name to band us for not waiting on a 2 hour long food wait time and the wrong drinks no problem we will not be at this establishment anymore anyways bc no one deserves to be treated like this. P.s if you do go there to tips great like we use to ask for Karen if she's not there walk away everyone else has there has the worst attitude ever including management. Even though I think that rule is stupid and even though I understand the whole reason behind it, I believe it's very stupid. Doc's reminds me of Cheers in a low key unique manner. Very divey with lots of parking and lots of people and lots of smoke. If you're a smoker this is your spot. But this girl really made it a bad experience after having been to this place so many times and never having an issue. I had to ask a bartender for her name since she never said it. If your looking for average pub grub Doc's is the place. Good draft prices make it a perfect stop prior to a braves game. Only a 10 minute walk and if you spend $15 or more ask your server for a parking pass to put on your car windshield and park for free! Be warned; when Doc's says "smoke friendly" they mean "cigarette smoke friendly." I was excited to find a local place where I could get a bite to eat, watch sports, and enjoy a cigar. I went there yesterday to do this in order to watch the Master's at their bar. Unfortunately, I was told no cigars. The place seems cool, so I am giving it 2 stars rather than 1. However, I ended up being turned away, so I had to get a burger at US Cafe down the street, take it back to my place, and smoke/watch the Master's on my porch. If Doc's changes this rule, I'll be back soon. But for now, I have no motivation to return to a smoke laden bar of which I am not allowed to smoke a cigar. read more

This is my favorite bar in Atlanta. I have lived in Smyrna for 4 years and frequented this bar pretty regularly. You cannot beat the price of the drinks or the food. They stay open late and things can get a little "lit" as the night goes on but I always feel safe there even when I am alone. The drinks are strong and the normal bar food is always satisfying. Nothing was open, except for this place!
