I have been going to Andrea for over 15 years, and am on my 3rd dog with her. I am well past my…read moretime for leaving the review that Andrea deserves. Andrea is a phenomenal groomer who will not only groom your dog as asked, but treats your dog as if they were her own. Many times she has caught health issues that my vet couldn't find. There is never any judgment, just honest communication so you can address things if necessary. Down to the tiny bumps and lumps that most dog owners miss. If you have never groomed your dog yourself, you will never truly be able to understand the dedication, awareness and communication that is required to do this job. As someone who has attempted to groom my own dogs, the respect for Andrea is immense. If you love your dogs and consider them members of your family, Andrea is the groomer for you. There is personally not a single negative thing I could say about her (coming from a service based small business owner). Just book your appointment and you will see why she is the best in the area!

Best groomer been bringing my dogs for 15 years. They always look great and smell nice too…read more Trust is important. And it's important for your dogs to be cared for so if you only take them when things get bad with their coat it's a difficult fix that takes time. I found it best to set up regular visits as this really helps keep the dogs coats as they should be and the dogs get familiar with the process. My initial plan was to keep my Havanese with her hair long. Well it's curly to and I tired then decided it's best to let Andrea take care of it and it was the best decision ever. Like everything in life regular maintenance is required. Thanks for all you do !!!

I've been bringing my rescue dog to Baxter & Beasley since we first got her two years ago. She…read moreloves going to daycare. It's the only place I'd send her. She doesn't do well with boarding, being a rescue, but they take such good care of her, I don't worry when I'm away. The entire staff is fantastic. They love the dogs and go above and beyond for them and us owners every day. Mike and Jen have taught me how to be a dog Mom :) Their hours are great, the prices are reasonable, the facility is always clean and my pup loves it. I highly recommend you give them a try!

I would not recommend the training services here. I brought my dog in for a week long board and…read moretrain (she was a foster fail, and I wanted her to learn basic obedience). For some context, my dog was found in a forest preserve as a young dog and so she had very little socialization with humans. She was awkward around my friends and family but would quickly warm up and play with them. When I went to pick her up at the end of the week, I did the hour-long session with Mike, and the whole time I noticed she was cowering every time he would raise his hand or go near her. This was not the goofy, happy dog I brought it. When I brought her home, I didn't notice anything unusual, and I had some friends come over about a week later. My dog, who had met all these people multiple times, was growling and visibly stressed to the point that she nipped my best friend, thankfully no skin was broke but we were both shocked. Prior to this incident, she had never nipped anyone or even gotten mouthy during playtime. When I called Jen about this incident, she brushed it off as my dog "testing boundaries". I received no support or advice on how to handle this situation. Since then, she has become more untrusting of humans (other than me) to the point where I can't have people come over because of her fear reactivity. I'm now working with a behaviorist to work on these issues and get her to a place of being more comfortable around people. I always look back and think that if I hadn't sent her there, she would be a very different dog now. **I'd like to note that I've since taken her to a daycare/boarding facility that she absolutely loves, and everyone there loves her. I'd taken her there once prior to this board and train, and it is now my go to place for her whenever I'm out of town. They were shocked when I told them about her reactivity, as they've never seen her express those behaviors and she's extremely well taken care of.
