First time stepping inside this Domies Bakery in Rosemead. Funny, I thought they were located at the corner of plaza, but they are actually next door to Yoshinoya. Wow, they have a grand selection of sweet and savory pastries, wifey cakes, sponge cakes, breads, standard whole cakes, standard slice cakes, whole ice cream cakes, and so much more. My eyes couldn't stop widening. I was in awe and very intrigued by its selections. Lady staff was nice and pleasant. She was very helpful in answering my questions in Cantonese. However, I think she is Taishanese because she was speaking with the other lady in another dialect. Anyway, glad we were able to communicate successfully. Thank you Miss! I couldn't leave without buying something. I love durian so when I saw the durian flaky pastry, I had to grab a couple. I love black sesame so had to get one. I love coconut... need I say more. I paid cash for my purchase. Sorry, I don't remember if they accept other forms of payment. As I was walking out of the bakery, I noticed clear containers and containers of sponge cakes on the counter. I had to get one container to confirm the hype LOL. It comes with 5 sponge cakes for $7.00 which I thought was very reasonable considering one sponge cake could cost $2 to $3 each at other bakeries. Here's my take on the goods... - Durian pastry had a nice egg yolk inside. However, overall it was just okay. Didn't give any wow factor IMHO. - Black sesame pastry had a thick filling of black sesame which I love, but I didn't care for the outside dry flaky part that surrounds the filling. - Coconut pastry was good... custard was not too sweet just the way I like it. - Sponge cakes were the B*MB! They were SO LIGHT & FLUFFY and SO VERY GOOD. My daughters couldn't stop eating them. I should have bought another container. I'll be back for more sponge cakes. Hype confirmed!

My family and I have been getting their durian cake. Fair pricing and generous amount of durian in the cake. For any durian lover, I highly recommend coming here for the cake. Nowhere else does it like this place. Their cake is soft and also not too sweet. Asian family approved! Got some of their pastries to try and can say it pretty good as well! Service is always friendly. However their shop layout is on the smaller size so do expect a wait during busy hours .

This bakery is located within the plaza of Big Savers and it should plenty of parking. It might be busy at times. The inside is a bit cluttered but of mostly baked goods. There's both pastries you can grab yourself and some you ask the staff for. They do have cakes you can ask for. There is a $10 minimum payment for card. The staff were nice. I got the pineapple bread (large size) and it was good. Not dry, and it was fluffy inside. It was sweet enough and tasty.

Domies Bakery has been a staple bakery for my family to go to whenever it's someone's birthday. We've been coming here since I was a child & will always be my go-to cake spot ! We ALWAYS order the durian cake -- SO good if you're a durian connoisseur like I am. The cake is moist, paired with the durian is just *chefs kiss*. The only thing is I just wish they put chunkier durian pieces in it/ they were more generous with the durian. The workers are also so nice and they speak Cantonese :') I love supporting this mom and pops shop, and will continue to come here whenever I have to pick up a birthday cake for a family members bday.

Super pretty, fresh and yummy durian cake. It's the best durian cake I have ever had.

Super pretty, fresh and yummy durian cake I have ever had! Highly recommend. I like their cake, it's soft and not too sweet, but just perfect for all of us.

I've been coming here since I was a child. They have plenty of birthday cakes premade and ready to go, we've never had any issues of it being stale or not fresh. And for all my ABC kiddos, don't worry the ladies here speak English as well. I had them write happy birthday in Chinese for my mom. Their crispy cake is so good! You do need to call ahead to order one. Comes in quarter sheet, half sheet or full sheet.

Delicious cake, not too sweet, I like it, and my girlfriend likes the cake here so much, I will come back to buy cake here on special days

Domies has been a go-to for cakes & breakfast in our family for as long as I can remember. They have plenty of cakes to buy that are ready to buy without having to calling to reserve. For cakes: mango cake is a family favorite. The 6inch Mango Cake is $28, perfect for about 8 slices. The cake is moist, not too sweet, and has a lot fruit! Other items we enjoy: Taro bread, egg tart, pineapple bread, & taro pastry.

I've tried a few of their mousse cakes and Portuguese tarts, and everything has been delicious. Nothing notable to say about the service. Brown Bear - $8.75 Rating: (5/10) At first look, the dessert is almost too cute to eat. The taste, once you actually start eating it, was really light, almost tasteless, with a lack of depth to the chocolate flavor. There was also very minimal rasqpberry and strawberry filling. Garlic Bird - $8.75 Rating: (1/10) This dessert was honestly pretty awful. The pairing of flavors is a bit odd and bold. The crisp green grape flavor is very difficult to pair well with the earthy notes of jasmine and taro. The combination of grape and a pasty taro filling doesn't work well, in my opinion. It feels like a bad take on the trending jasmine grape drinks with chewy taro balls. Strawberry Mousse - $7.50 Rating: (4/10) It was okay. There was too much going on inside this small dessert, and the flavor of the jammy interior was a bit weird. The description listed strawberry and pistachio jam, raspberry puree, chocolate crystal jelly, and Baileys Irish Cream. Egg Tart - $0.99 Rating: (10/10) If I ever come back, I'll buy a dozen of these egg tarts for $12. Pretty good, and the price is unbeatable.

The hours are a bit limited, but I managed to make it in time to grab some pre-made baked goods to go. I got a bag of coconut macaroons, bag of several chocolate chip cookies, 2 red velvet cookies, a baked dog cookie biscuit, and a cute Keroppi sugar cookie. Most of these ended up being gifts, but I did enjoy one of the red velvet cookies and for an already sweet flavor profile with white chocolate chips in it, I was already fearing the worse, but went perfect with a glass of milk. The edges were nicely crisped by the baking too. Delicious. Love that they had a stock of cute, pre-decorated cookies available as well (some Sanrio characters, animals, etc.) They also list all the ingredients used in each of the baked goods that they have prepackaged, which is nice. It's also a cafe where you can order drinks, as well as a place you can order cakes custom order or what they have behind the glass already. There's both seating inside and outside.

There's a small parking lot in the back, but spaces can be hard to find and I ended up having to park on the street the first time I went. (FYI - they are going to open a Goomo tea shop on the corner in the same space!) D'ange has so many fun flavors of buns. I really liked the taro with mochi one. The only thing about the buns is that the fillings tend to be only on one side of the bun, so there are been times as I'm biting into the bun, I'm not getting any filling until the last couple bites. They even sell cookies and all different flavors of toast that would make some yummy brick toast desserts! And if you need a whole cake, they have them in the case ready to go too! The buns I got were great, as were the Portuguese egg tarts. They even sold Chinese tamales at my last visit, so I picked one up too.
