FANTASTIC! It was our first time, and we were so impressed. It was a Friday night, wait was not too long. The garlic rolls are amazing. We got pizza and two pastas. Most impressive (on top of the food) was the amazing service. We are pretty sure the helpful guy who got us started was either an owner or a manager, but he was amazing. Came here based on recommendations from 2 co-workers. It doesn't take much for me to resort to pizza, because it is hands down my favorite food. No matter what other elaborate dishes I eat, life always comes back to the simplicity and comfort of a slice of pizza. I came for lunch, and was quickly greeted and seated. Very spacious interior with restaurant-style seating, but still with a pizza display counter that you're used to seeing in an authentic "pizza joint" if you know what I mean. They have a typical lunch special with 2 slices and a drink for $6.95. Some other places are cheaper, but just by a dollar, maybe 2. Upgraded pizzas will cost more, which was the case with my order. I ordered 2 Sicilians, which as a self-proclaimed pizza-enthusiast I actually didn't know what it was. If you don't also, it's a very thick crust square slice. Then as I was about to walk away from the counter, a beautiful slice with a flat glob of mozzarella cheese accompanied by basil leaves caught my eye. I hit the reverse, asked the name, "Grandma's", and swapped out one of the Sicilians (which I was happy about, because 2 of those would be wayyyy too much). All in all, I enjoyed both slices. The crust on the Sicilian was soft, fluffy and easy to eat, with a kind of sweet tomato sauce. The Grandma slice was almost reminiscent of a Margherita (my favorite pizza style), but not as good. Still good, but just not AS good. I'd definitely come back, especially to try more of their Italian dishes. But just for pizza alone, you have Pizza Rox one plaza away, which I definitely think is better. read more

Stopped by while in area and saw tables outside. Yes, we were hanging with the dog today and it was a perfect spot with no other dogs around. Service was wonderful. Lunch was still on at 3 pm. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and chicken francese. First one came with spaghetti, the second, penne. We must have been hungry... ate five garlic rolls! Both entrees were delicious. I could not believe my lunch portion of chicken! If I knew, I would not have snacked on so many garlic rolls! While we enjoyed our lunch listening to Sinatra tunes, many customers came by to pick up their pizzas to go. Great afternoon time enjoying the cool weather outside. Just left restaurant and do not understand the good reviews I see. Perhaps it is limited to pizza. Place was empty and for good reason. Ordered soup which was very thin and bland. Had shrimp marinara with Fran Diablo sauce on capellini. Flavor was very bland and ordinary but certainly not worth $27. The chicken specialty pizza was amazing! Crust and sauce were perfect. Danny the server was very attentive, making jokes with my parents. I've had the meatballs and pasta on previous occasions and that dish was great too. Taste homemade. EDIT: I changed my rating from 5 to 4 stars because of the atmosphere. Employees were just off to the dining area (maybee a bar area) discussing their personal business so loudly that their conversation could be heard by the hostess stand. It's great that the employees get along with each other but that should be kept in the breakroom and not disrupting the customer. read more

Found my new pizza joint! Came here because my daughter wanted pizza and this was the closest place from where we were. I honestly don't know why I haven't been here before or heard of it as it's literally 10 min from my house. This place is AWESOME! We tried the Mozzarella triangles, the "grandma pizza" w/ added chicken, and the tiramisu. The mozzarella and tiramisu were good but the pizza was perfect! I mean from the crust to the flavors of the pizza itself just perfect. I honestly haven't had pizza like this besides lumbardi's in New York. Can go on forever but to keep it short and simple GRAT pizza! Our waitress Linda was very nice and helpful. She helped explain the appetizers so we didn't make a bad choice and got the mozzarella sticks which we were very happy with. Dominics never disappoints. By far the best local Italian place around here. Family vibe, fantastic food, wine or beer available, portions and price are on point. They have a twilight menu everyday from 3-6 with 30% off main entrees which always come with garlic rolls, soup or salad. Delish! We're regulars here and plan to be forever lol. Okay.... This place is straight garbage. The food was pure trash! With the name "Dominic's", and a 4 star review on yelp - I expected to leave a happy patron, I was wrong. Our server Daniel was nice and very tentative, our server was not the issue. Our free garlic bread was burned and hard as a rock (a sign of things to come clearly). Pizza is why we came and why we will never return. The pizza dough wasn't even cooked through. It was effing raw! how do you not know you haven't cooked the pizza?? And they threw a ton of dry basil on top of the pizza as well - come on now. The food was disgusting and bland. We got the chicken and garlic pizza - flavorless chicken and overcooked garlic cloves (with the skin still on the garlic I might I add).. This place is expensive for the garbage they throw out and have the nerve to call food. Don't waste your money here, you'd get a better pizza at dominos. The only highlight from having this pizza was giving the leftovers to a homeless person. read more

So glad we found this place. They were so friendly and welcoming, even though they were closing soon. Our server, Danny, was the best! We would definitely come back and ask for him. We got the calamari, which was delicious. Then we shared the trio pasta, which was sooooo good as well. The only negative I would say was that the silverware was kind of gross, we had to ask for new settings then ultimately shared because some of it was still not clean. I'm hoping this was a one time issue, but we will definitely give them the benefit of the doubt since everything else was so hood and clean. Loved this! As we approached Boynton, I asked the all important question: where are we going? Being that I was driving, this was a loaded question. lol After touring the wrong strip shopping center, I was directed to Dominic's. What a great choice! There was plenty of parking and we were greeted immediately on entry. The restaurant was busy but they had a great table waiting for us. After just a moment to glance at the menu, we were approached by a very nice young server. I asked a couple of menu questions which she promptly answered and headed off for drinks and garlicy rolls. The rolls were amazing and distracted me from my grumbling stomach. With a roll in hand, I was ready to order. I had the snapper francaise with sauteed veggies and my partner in crime had the pasta primavera. The soup and salad arrived shortly after ordering and both were just right. The presentation of each entree was beautiful, huge and the taste... mmmm. My fish was so light and flavorful. I can;t remember the last time I enjoyed my fish so much. Neither of us could come anywhere near finishing. The perfect ending was a cappuccino. This again was just right with it's rock candy stick and biscotti. I wish Dominic's was closer. First of! Thank you for being open on the 25th of December. We where looking for a place that was open when we smelled Garlic ;-) Not sure what to order because we are from Vienna, Austria, I went to Culinary School in Vienna for 4 years so being a neighbor to Italy raises the bar a bit. Coming to the U. S. Once or twice a year since 1991 I know about the exotic Italian that are offered in the U. S. Like Chicken Parmesan and Sgetti and Meatballs etc.... After seeing a very tasty looking Pizza at the table next to us we decided to go for for it. As Appetizers we had Mozzarella with Meat Tomatoes that are called Beef Steak Tomatoes in the US. so they had me at Beef Steak. Always good to read the full description of a meal!!! Also had steamed Clams. The Garlic Bread and Appetizers where very good. Now to the main Dish. Like I said the pizza next to us looked really good, just like a wood heated oven pizza from Italy. Bubbly Crust that looked fluffy and soft. Our Pizza was really different. Topping, Ham, Salami and Garlic was nice. Sauce was good too. Pizza dough was the deciding factor here! I had Pizza all over the world and I am a trained chef, so I know how a fresh pizza dough has to, taste and feel like when you cut it. The dough was hard to cut right from the start, it looked dehydrated. There are three reasons why a pizza dough is dehydrated. A. Not enough fluids while making it. Rookie Mistake B. Old Dough, laying to long or in to cold environment. Don't believe it payed to long. The place was crowded and the turnaround of pizza was plenty. C. Sadly to say, frozen and ready pizza dough. I really hope that it was not the las Option. Like I said, a fresh pizza dough will stay soft for a long time. Even after a Day, when you reheat it, it will cut nicely. This is the reason why I don't eat frozen pizza! The Tiramisu was AMAZING, lots of cream, just like I like it and handmade in A big Coffee Mug. Absolutely one of the best Tiramisu that I ever had! All in all a good Experience. Should have gone for the Sgetti and Meatballs though. I was disappointed just because the dough was so dry and hard. Dominic's has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants. A friend first introduced me to Dominic's at their Hypoluxo Rd. location. "It looks like a pizza joint," he said, as he was giving me driving directions. And he was correct. The waiter suggested the chicken rollatini daily special and I was happy to oblige. I skipped the salad and instead opted for the pasta fagioli. I often rate a restaurant on the taste of the pasta fagioli and Dominic's rated high! Since that introduction I discovered their Congress Avenue location in Boynton and have been a regular there ever since. Whenever I have a yearning for Italian food I think of this place. I have tried several of the entrees as well as the daily specials and have found them all to be terrific. And the pizza! The pizza is "to die for" and I think it is one of the best pies in this area. I ask for mine to be "thin and crispy" and it is always perfect. I took the picture on the right and I know it looks fake, but believe you me it is the real thing! On this particular visit Michelle and I started out with a bowl of our favorite soup, Pasta Fagioli. She ordered the Chicken Cacciatore, which she said was the best she ever had in her life! She had it served over penne. She ate about half and boxed the rest for lunch the next day. My lunch! Such large portions! I had three pieces of pizza and boxed up the rest for later. We are always greeted with a warm "hello" and although they are busy we have never had to wait very long for a seat. They even have a nice eating area outside with an overhang. The wait staff is quick, efficient and friendly. Justin keeps garlic rolls on the table, our glasses full, and checks on us regularly throughout the meal. Ordered a large amount of food to go for my girlfriend and I. One of the entrees ordered was a veal parm entree...not the sandwich. But, after driving home, my girlfriend discovered the sandwich instead. So, here's my rule, send me home with the wrong food, and I stop eating at your restaurant. Restaurants love to say "mistakes happen", but this was just plain lazy. This could have been easily avoided when I ordered the veal entree, and if the kid on the phone wasn't clear between entree, and sub, he should have asked. They also included one garlic roll for food clearly for 2 people. Nice of them. I won't be going back. read more

My sister and her boyfriend have been raving about this place! Had to try it out to see what it was all about. Her BF stated it is the best pizza ever! Taste just like NY Pizza. Entering we are greeted by the host and taken directly to our table. You can see the pizza oven and the guys making it. Pretty cool. Our waiter took our drink order. They give you garlic bread which are yummy. I could probably eat all of them in the basket. We decided to order the calamari for appetizer. It was delicious. Very crispy and the sauce is yummy. They give you a ton so one order for 3 was perfect. We then ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and pineapple. When they bring it out it is super hot. You have to wait a bit before taking a bite. I have to say my sis BF was absolutely right. The pizza is so delicious. The flavor, crust and melted cheese was amazing. I definitely have to come back to try more stuff on the menu. This place has the "closest to Bronx, NY" pizza in the area. Every time my fiancé and I either order from here or stop in for a quick slice, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The sandwiches are fantastic and the bread is always fresh and perfectly toasted. The staff here is always very pleasant and in a happy mood - signs of excellent management. Danny works the register and is always extremely polite and professional every time we go there or call in. All the other staff is just as nice. This is our favorite pizza place in the area! I need to brag again about this place! We went there on Sunday at about 11:30am since I yelp the times, come to find out the opened at noon instead of 11:00am. We were highly disappointed that we were probably going to have to go somewhere else since we still had 30 more minutes to waste. THEN...Danny comes out and states "we aren't open yet but if you guys don't mind waiting a few minutes we will be more than happy to serve you", WHAT!?? of course we said yes, immediately we were seated and given drinks. I must say this has been the best experience yet, someone needs to give Danny a major bonus. His attitude was up beat, very attentive and interactive. He kept making sure to notify us that they were heating the ovens and as soon as they were good to go he would take our orders. Once ready we got the first garlic breads to be made, ah-mazing!!! We placed our order for the calamari and 2 large pizzas, that's all you need. The pizza is the best in town, forget Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Dominoes, not even Sal's is up there. Once we finished, let's just say we left Danny an extra good tip, he very much deserved it. Thanks Danny and Dominics for your great service and amazing food experience always. Still no response I contacted the restaurant and waited 24 hours to to resolve my issues. I have not. Even contacted. We come to Florida every year and always go to Dominic's. This experience was horrible. The food was horrible, chicken tasted like cardboard, fettuccine had no flavor, veal parm bland, salad dressings had so much garlic you could barely eat them. However the real problem was when I went to the restroom and witnessed an employee leave the restroom leave without washing her hands. I walked up to the hostess to let them know what just happened and I was told there's a washing station in the back. WHAT!!! No it's the law for employees to wash hands before leaving a bathroom. There is a sign in the bathroom that states that alsoI was so grossed out. I will never go here again!!! read more

This was my first visit here and it won't be my last. Had the calamari (perfectly cooked and crispy!!), caprese (nice, thick cuts of mozzarella and tomatoes), baked clams and chicken francese. I also tasted the fettuccine alfredo with blackened chicken and shrimp - it was flavorful and the shrimp were big. Everything was delicious! Including the garlic rolls (so.much.garlic!) and the house dressing that came with my salad. Presentation of the food was attractive. Stopped in on a whim not knowing what to eat. This place is down the street so it was convenient. The interior and dining room are very inviting. But the food... The fiancee and I began with pasta fagioli which was a bit bland for my taste. The garlic bread was fine. Moving on we encountered the chicken parmesan dinner which to be perfectly honest, was AOK. Sauce was a tad bit sweet but I'm being too picky for a local Italian joint we bunked into. My main course was the clams in white wine sauce with linguini. The diced clams outside the shell seemed canned to me. I'm not huge on salt in much of my food but there is a line between way too little or way too much. This dinner was undersalted big time. Just not enough flavors going on here in a dish centered around shell fish. Average at best. Service was ok. The waitress was very nice but we did wait quite some time for our main course. I really don't want to come off super picky but that is what is required most times to write a food review. And too really put the icing and n the cake the prices are well above the goin rate of comparable Italian restaurants around us. Chicken parmesan dinner was teatering on $20. I gladly pay above average if the food is above expectations but not on this go-around. Look elsewhere if you want a good, sit-down Italian restaurant. read more

I have been to both this location and the Lake Worth (Dominic's I) location. They all serve great Italian. I religiously order their meat lasagna - it's perfect. Their portions are very big, so you will definitely have leftovers. I've also ordered the fettuccine margherita, which was also delicious. Each order comes with a choice of soup or salad and if you ask for garlic rolls, they will gladly bring you a basket full. I've found that the difference between this Dominic's is that the wait staff is not as friendly as opposed to the one in Lake Worth. I think the only thing that separates this one from the others is that the decor inside is more up to date, probably due to the surrounding restaurants and shops. read more

First the waitress asked if I wanted soup of salad only to forget to bring either and slaps in front of me the chunkiest worst tasting marinara sauce Iv ever tested. C'mon people you've gotta do better than this. So chunky and gross probably only had 10 small gnocchi for a price tag of 17.95. Awful. Just awful!!!! Don't waste your time on this one. read more

We had a party of 6 and were seated promptly for their early bird dinner. My wife had chicken parm and I had chicken marsala. Both were excellent. Very big portions so we had nice doggie bags. It was also 2 for 1 alcohol and my Bud's were served at the right temperature. The rolls were hot and tasty both garlic and plain. The dinner came with soup or salad and were just enough. Horrible!! Was told to pick up order in 45 min. The last time we ordered they said the same thing and the food was cold. So this time we thought we would get there in 30min. Well after walking in (no curbside pick up offered) the staff were not wearing gloves or masks. Either were some patrons coming in for their orders. They were very unorganized ! Was told another 20 minutes so waited outside in the car..came back in 10 min later and after asking about the order they finally gave it to us. Well once again the food was cold. Nothing worse that re-heated pizza and cold mussels ! Never again! read more

We have been coming here for several years and ordering pizzas to go. Last evening 4 of us dined in, and the experience wasn't good. Our order was pretty simple, a large 3 topping pie for the kids and a egg plant parmigiana for me. My dinner came out 1st and then the pizza came out 20 minutes later after I was finished with mine, so it was just real disjointed. That was not the worst part, our server was Linda and her table side manner could use some polishing up, we all felt sort of rushed and talked down to by her, older woman kind of set in her ways. We sat near the kitchen entrance so we we able to witness Linda berating a coworker, I believe he was a bus boy, it was apparently over bringing the wrong type of to go containers to our table, round aluminum vs square styrofoam. We felt terrible for the bus boy as he looked deflated when he returned with the corrected containers. It was just an overall awkward unpleasant experience, this place is capable of providing better service than this and maybe that would be possible with a different server, oh and the food was good, but it was just overshadowed by the poor service. read more
