I love how they have the option to pre-order and have a delivery time, on a NON BUSY NIGHT, and can't even come close to the delivery window. The order was placed 5 hours ago for two effing large pizzas and we are now almost 44 mins late. Not the first time. The excuse is a snarky bitch claiming "it's how it is" every time. But rest not, folks in the area!!!! The good news is, if you and 30 of your friends happen to order yours when we do, all of yall would get yours first as ours is inevitably the last to be delivered Every Time. Again: pizza is good. Been to this location twice during Covid and have been pleased. The first time was a walk in. I really wanted a Deluxe Pan. The man at the counter helped me get the toppings I liked by taking advantage of their carry out special. I saved a lot by following his recommendation. The second visit I placed through the app for Domino's carside delivery. Now this was pretty cool! All communication was done via text and went smooth. The app said the pizza was completed and ready for curbside pick up. 5 minutes later I arrived in the parking lot and clicked on the "I'm here" button while parked in the correct area for curbside pickup with my car flashers on as instructed. After waiting more than 15 minutes and seeing a few customers come and pick up their own pizzas in the restaurant, I looked up Dominos phone number to call and see if I was at the correct restaurant. The pizza person greeted me and immediately placed me on hold...I waited for another 4-5 minutes before I finally hung up and walked in the restaurant. I explained what happened and the worker seemed confused. I gave him my name and looked at two pizzas sitting in the second shelf but they were not mine. He never checked the single pizzas sitting on the third shelf (there were only there pizzas in all that were boxed up.) The Worker took my number to look up my order and lo and behold...it was the third pizza just sitting there with my name on it. As he handed it to me he did apologize for the poor service...however, now it's been over 30 minutes since the pizza was done and I was just now getting it. I looked inside and either the sauce was all dried up or it was regular sauce. I asked him whether this pizza was made with extra sauce as I had ordered it through the app. The man opened the box and clearly looked surprised and asked to see my receipt. After seeing that the receipt said extra sauce, he said yes, it was made with extra sauce. I told him that there's hardly any sauce on the pizza and he just apologized again for the poor service. An apology was nice, but how about a fresh pizza made the way it was supposed to be made the first time? There was no offer for a replacement. I calmly advised the worker that I'd be completing a review on their restaurant and service and left with the dry pizza. Take this review for what it's worth. I know I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Mistakes happen and I can forgive that, but the lack of customer service is not acceptable. read more

I'd normally give 4-5 stars, but the pan pizza we got yesterday seemed to only have sauce near the crust. Holding the slice, it felt lighter and didn't taste right...that's when we all noticed it seemed sauce wasn't over the whole pizza. It was like eating cheesy bread. Ordered pepperoni and extra cheese pizza. When I got there, it was not ready even though I went there after they said it would be. After a couple of minutes, I was told it was ready. When I got home, it looked like a truck dove over it. Pizza was bubbled and some pieces did not even have cheese on them (see picture). I contacted customer service twice and was given a case number and told that I would be contacted. Never happened. This is not the first time this place has given me a bad pizza. I contacted them once before..same story... we will contact you... nothing. I decided to give them another chance. Not again. There are eleven other places near me that sell pizza. It was ready when I got there and was hot still when I got back to the hotel The guy at the register was very nice and the place is pretty easy to find. It has very limited parking, but I imagine it is adequate based on it being a carry out/delivery place. I know this may sound petty... but charging $1.25 for hot peppers and another $1.25 for parm cheese...Really? I am sure it is a corporate thing and is across the board, but that is kind of like being charged at McDonalds for ketchup and napkins... although I hate to give anyone any ideas! This is not for the food, even though the wings last night were awesome and just what I was craving! But this is for the fantastic interaction with the delivery driver, Peyton. I work for one of the top 5 financial institutions in country and our whole culture is about great customer service. Everything anyone does is too strive to make each person feel like they are our only customer and concern. Now in non work life, I hardly see this from companies and places I visit. And I can easily brush off non existent customer service because hey not every company brands themselves the way the financial world strives to in terms of customer satisfaction. When Peyton delivered our food I listened to the conversation he carried with my boyfriend and was like man! This dude is engaging, pleasant, and just friendly. Not sure how it came out in the maybe 2 minutes conversation and exchange of money and food that was taking place but it got mentioned we just moved in and as Peyton was leaving he stopped and said ,"Enjoy your new place!" And then my boyfriend turns to me and said wow he was awesome. This short interaction literally made my night. Stunned! Now to Domino's, your company is very lucky to have someone like him working for you. Someone who is energetic and engaging representing your brand. With everything being digital from ordering to tracking this is the only human interaction we have and it blew my mind how genuine Peyton was. I just realized I never left a review about this place. I love this Domino's. I have NEVER had a bad experience with this store. They always give a 33-43 minute delivery time. I don't think I ever waited more than 20-25 minutes for deliver, regardless on how many pizzas I ordered. I was one of those "holdouts" that promised to never order another pizza from them "in my natural black life". But I went ahead anyway and took the challenge, and this particular Domino's was the one I ordered from. 3 years later, I'm still ordering from them (only pizza that delivers to this house). I placed an order for 1 large cheese, 16 (MILD( wings and a dessert. The delivery driver was awesome, I usually order through the app (this will come into play later in review) but it was down. I placed my order with a very pleasant person over the phone and away we went. The issue is when the order came wrong I stopped eating and called for a correction. I was hungry and so was my wife, the wings were ours and the pizza and desserts were the kids. I hate spicy food so we order mild. They were not so I was told I could come pick up a messed up DELIVERY order or settle. It took a second phone call after being told the manager was too busy to take my first call. I expressed my disappointment in the service being a good customer and was told I've only ordered one other time ( my app is full of orders from 3 separate phones in our home) but even if this was true why should that matter? No drivers explained the manager on the second call. Well if I placed another order would there be a driver for that? I was told they credited my order and we will see. Out of principal I drove the wings to the store because if they credited it I didn't want them. Treated like someone trying to scam them for more wings. The food is usually pretty good and we've never had any issues. Have ordered from this Dominos a few times before. Stopped using them for a while cause the pizza wasn't that great and even though I live close it always seemed to take a while to be delivered. Thought I'd give them a second chance - sorry I did! According to their tracker my pizza sat for about 20 minutes after being cooked before a driver grabbed it. Then I saw a car with a dominos sign on it slow down in front of my house and then take off. 20 minutes after that, an hour after placing the order, no pizza and nothing heard from dominos so I called to cancel my order. They didn't even care why I was canceling or note that it should have been delivered already. Definitely never trying to get pizza from here ever again, there are enough other pizza delivery places that are good and quick. This place needs some serious new management. read more

I'm new to VA Beach, so I picked this Domino's simply because it had a slightly higher Yelp rating. Glad I did! I got a large pizza with pepperoni, onions, and feta cheese, as well as hot buffalo specialty chicken since that came with the coupon I used. Regardless of location, the chicken is the main reason I consistently choose Domino's over Papa John's. It is THAT good. But back to this Domino's. The site tracker said it'd take 24-34 minutes to get here, but even with the dismal weather, I doubt that it was even that long. The delivery driver (Glenn, if the tracker is correct about his name) was polite and very nice. So yeah, basically what I'm getting at is that everything was perfect, and I have no complaints whatsoever. I'll be ordering again soon!
