This is the absolute worst location in the franchise!! Ordered for pickup at 12:04pm, email confirmation comes in stating it will be ready at 12:19pm - ok no problem. Went in at 12:30 for pickup, hasn't even been started. One pothead working the register, and one woman in the back preparing food, none of them were for my order and I assumed they were for the order of the customer who was at the counter when I walked in. An absolute joke, zero customer service, no opportunity for recourse, which is why I had to take to Yelp to warn you all - try a different spot, unless you're ok with paying (and tipping) for food that takes 45 minutes and is totally subpar. read more

Called and out an order in over the phone and was told the two pizzas would go ahead and get started. Took over 10 minutes to park since delivery drivers hog the spots out front. Went in and explained they didnt take my name but said they put my two pizzas in since and i was going to add more to my order. They could not find any pizzas put in and said it probably got erased. After several meals of Asian fare, we wanted something greasy and rich in carbohydrates. I remembered J David mentioning about Marco's Pizza awhile ago, so we decided to give them a try. The order was placed through their website for a pickup. Everything was ready and looking perfect when we arrived. I must admit. It felt like it was one of the longest 20 minutes drive of my life. The whole meal definitely did not disappoint! We got the Garden pizza as well as the BBQ pizza and Cheezybread. We loved them all and had hardly any leftovers for the next day. Average pizza, my dad says it reminds him of Domino's, but Domino's is more well-done or crispy on the bottom in my opinion. I ordered an XL-Cheese Pizza and it was pretty good. You can taste the sauce, it is sweet and tomatoey, meanwhile the cheese is alright, not too flavorful, not too bland, also only a little grease. Crust was alright, reminds me of how Domino's tastes, but there wasn't any garlic-y flavor to it. I even asked for double garlic sauce on it, so I don't know if I have to get triple for it to come through, or if they didn't put it on or something, but it was disappointing to say the least. Gotta say though, timing wise they did pretty well. I asked for it asap and it was ready to pickup within like 15 minutes at around 7 on a Friday. All and all, I will be trying more pizza places to say the least. read more

We have been customers of Marco's pizza for 5 years. We have always enjoyed Marco's pizza and have recommended them to all our frat brothers. However, this Sunday (1-14-2024) was the worst I have been treated by an employee of Marco's. Unfortunately, it was no need to complain to the manager because she was the manager. The location was Virginia Beach Blvd, in Virginia Beach, around 7:30pm. There was no greeting when we entered the store, she was rude, and unprofessional. She would not give us our food ( placing it on the counter) and would not give us a copy of our receipt acting as if we had a disease, dropping the money from our change in my hand! We were a bit confused about classic pepperoni and old world pepperoni (owp), but once the nice gentleman on the phone described the old world as a bit more spicy, smaller and a better pepperoni flavor, I had to get that one. It was definitely a good choice. I had the 10" personal pizza with owp and extra cheese. I will stick to that one when ordering from there again. My husband had a large owp, mushrooms and extra cheese on thin crust. He said it was good. They don't skim on toppings. Marco's Pizza is THE spot to go for some amazing pizza. I really love this place and I love pizza (true New Yorker so pizza is a big deal for me). The cheese is always cheesy and the crust is always cooked to perfection (buttery and crispy). I usually go for pepperoni and even their pepperoni is perfectly cooked! I love that when they do bring the pizza out it is so so so hot (so please take caution and wait for it to cool). The staff is always professional and friendly. Parking can get a little annoying since this spot is located right next to Duck Donuts, but totally worth waiting for a spot. I'm from Buffalo NY, so it goes without question that I'm frequently disappointed by pizza in the Hampton Roads area. It's just not the same! That is until I found Marco's pizza. I know it's a chain but Jeeze is it good! I always order the pepperoni magnifico and cheesecake bread, it is so savory and delicious my boyfriend and I can almost finish a large pizza by ourselves. They also have great bleu cheese dipping sauce, another hard to come by commodity in Virginia Beach. A friend and I had a thin crust Pizza from Marco's last night and all I can say is I'm going back to my own cooking. This was the first time I've ever seen a round pizza cut into squares and the crust was harder to cut than cardboard. The marcos I had ordered from doesnt have a yelp (hampton blvd), but it was so dang amazing I had to review on this one. Marcos is by far the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. I got the pepperoni melt, and second one with added bacon, mushrooms, and onions. Also garlic butter crust. It was incredible.
